Chapter 5
What I Can Do For Now
?: The cullmative results for the practical exams are out!
They looked over all the points of the examinees and spot Kacchan's.
?: I can believe he got first place with no rescue points.
They then show him blowing up robots while everyone ran away from the zero pointer.
?: The faux villains acquire their target and draw near them. In the second half while others were running slowing down he used his flashy quirk to round them up and counterattack. It is a result of his toughness.
They then move on to Izuku.
?: In contrast there's the 7th place with zero villain points.
They then see him use his quirk to one shot the zero pointer.
?: There have been other examannies to take on the large villain before, but it has been awhile since I saw anyone blow it away and with the help of another one of the examinees giving out the finishing blow.
They then see Izuku on the ground with his limbs broken.
?: But to suffer from his own attack.
We then see a black long haired man with a dead eyes expression leaning on the wall. This was Shota Aizawa.
?: It's like he's a young child and his quirk just manifested.
Aizawa lowers head and hums.
[Theme Song]
Dash was seen walking on the onward walk with her headphones in as she hums. She then looks out to the ocean catching in the waves.
Dash: I love taking walks on the boardwalk. It kinda reminds me of when I did it with my…
She then had a sad look on her face.
Flashback
Little Dash was running on the boardwalk giggling.
?: Dash don't run off like that.
The voice was feminine as Dash turns around and runs up to them. The person rubs her head as Dash giggles and hugs her.
?: I can't be mad at you little ranger.
Dash looks up at her but her face is covered by the light as she giggles.
End Flashback
Dash had a few tears in her eyes before wiping them away.
Dash: I miss you.
She then sees Izuku and All Might in his hero form running on the beach.
Dash: Must be some late work training before school.
She then activates her quirk and grabs the Growl Phone morpher. She put two fingers to the phone and put it to her ear.
Dash: Wild Access! Hah!
She gets into a crouching running position as her suit appears on her and a cheetah bites onto her head making her helmet. She lets out her claws.
Dash: Speeding Cheetah!
She then scratches the ground getting in her pose.
Dash: Wild Force!
She then looks at herself.
Dash: Do I really have to do that for every time I transform?
(Speed: Yes, yes you do.)
She then jumped from the rail and got on all four zipping up to the boys.
Dash: Hey guys.
They both scream in terror seeing her.
Dash: What?
Izuku: Dash you scared us!
She runs the back of her neck.
Dash: Sorry…
She then remembers something as she takes off her helmet.
Dash: Oh Izuku did you get in?
Izuku: Oh yeah I did how about you?
Dash: Yeah I did if it wasn't for those rescue points I would've been toast.
Izuku: So have I.
All Might then walked up to them.
All Might: Young Nashito good work on the exam but that doesn't mean you should slack off. You have to be ready for anything, so test your physical skills and your quirk.
Dash nods in determination.
Dash: Right All Might even though I passed the exams doesn't mean I've passed UA. I'm gonna work hard and give everything I got!
She clenched her fist and All Might put a hand on her shoulder.
All Might: That's right young Nashito.
He looks over to Izuku.
All Might: The both of you.
Izuku nods as Dash puts her helmet back on.
Dash: Race you to the other side of the beach.
Izuku: Oh your so on!
Dash gets on all fours and sprints away as Izuku is on her tail
Izuku: Hey get back here!
Dash: Can't hear you on how far I am slowpoke!
All Might chuckles a little bit.
All Might: Those two are something else.
Morning
Dash Was sleeping in bed when her alarm clock blared and she hastily worked up with a smile.
Dash: First day of UA!
She got out of bed and went to the bathroom passing by her mom carrying pancakes to her room.
Dash: Morning mom!
She enters the bathroom and gets in the shower as Nella smiles.
Nella: Well she's excited.
As Dash was taking a shower she got a call from Izuku. She reaches out towards her phone and picks up a went back to taking a shower.
Dash: Hey Izuku!
Izuku: Dash, are you ready for our big day.
She turns off the water and puts a towel over herself.
Dash: Omega ready I'll meet you there.
Izuku: Right!
He hangs up while Dash brushes her teeth all around before spitting out and giving out a toothy smile and nodding. She hears a knock from the door and sees her mom enter with her uniform in her hand.
Dash: Thank mom.
She takes it as Nella has a few tears in her eyes and hugs her.
Nella: I'm so proud of you my little ranger.
Dash hugs back.
Dash: I love you to mom but I'm still nakid.
Nella released from the hug.
Nella: Sorry sweetie, better hurry it's starting soon.
Dash nods as her mom leaves. She takes the towel off and puts on her blue panties and bra. She then puts on her UA uniform and looks into the mirror. She pats down the skirt, adjusts her tie and smiles.
Dash: Your ready for anything Dash Nashito. Your gonna be the greatest her the world has ever seen!
She exits the bathroom and grabs the plate from her bedroom before running to the front door eating. Nella uses her barriers to grab the plate and toss it into the sink. Dash puts on her shoes and grabs her bag.
Dash: Love you!
Nella: Love you more!
Dash exits the house and looks at her phone.
Dash: Better early than never.
She goes on a light jog to her new school.
UA Entrance
Izuku was waiting for Dash at the entrance.
Izuku: Where is she?
There was a dark shadow behind her as he slowly turned behind him to see Dash with a smile on her face.
Dash: Hey Izuku!
He jumps up screaming and lands on his butt while Dash was laughing.
Dash: That always gets you. [chuckles]
She gives him a hand.
Dash: Come on we don't want to be late.
They both start running through the halls looking for their classroom.
Izuku: 1-A, 1-A,... man this place is too big.
Dash then spot the 1-A sign.
Dash: Right here!
They then look at the humongous door.
Izuku/Dash: That huge door! Is it for accessibility?
Izuku: The elite chose from the huge number at the exam…
He then remembers Iida and Bakugo before shaking his head as Dash was sweating buckets.
Dash: Your fine Dash, you got this, your the most least nervous person out there, why are you sweating?!
Dash was now sweating a waterfall as Izuku was trying to calm her down.
Izuku: It's ok Dash just relax.
Dash takes a breath and gives a slight smile to Izuku.
Dash: I'm fine.
Izuku: I just hope we don't have the same class as the scary people.
As he opens the door they hear Iida yelling at Kacchan.
Iida: Don't put your feet on the desk!
Kacchan: Huh?
Iida: Don't you think it's a little rude to the UA upperclassman and the people who made this desk.
Kacchan: Nope! What junior high did you go to, you side character?
Izuku had a black tint covering his eyes as Dash just sighed.
Dash: Why should I be surprised and on the first day too.
Iida was surprised before putting a hand on his chest.
Iida: I attended Somai Private School. My name is Tenya Iida.
Kacchan: Somei? So you're the damn elite, huh? Looks like I'll have fun crushing you!
Iida: "Crushing"? That's cruel? Do you aim to be a hero?
Kacchan just scoffs before they see Dash and Izuku enter the room.
Iida: You're…
Everyone then looked at them as Izuku started to freak out as for Dash she tried to keep on a smile but on the inside she was screaming. They then see Iida walking up to them.
Iida: Good morning! I am from Somai Private Academy! My name is-
Izuku/Dash: We heard!
He stops in his tracks as Dash sighed.
Izuku: I'm Midoriya.
Dash: And I'm Nashito. It's nice to meet you.
Dash pulls her hand in for a hand shake and he shook it before putting a hand to his side.
Iida: Midoriya, Nashito, you realize there was something else to the practical exam, didn't you?
Dash: Huh?
Iida: I had no idea… I misjudged you two. I have to admit but you are better than me.
Dash: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Izuku: I'm sorry but I didn't realize anything.
Uraraka: That curly hair boy. You're the plain looking one.
Izuku and Dash turned around to see Uraraka outside the door.
Izuku: It's a nice girl! You've passed just like Present Mike said!
Uraraka: Your punch was amazing!
She then points to Dash.
Uraraka: And you're the one in that cute penguin robot, right?
Dash nods as Uraraka fan girls on how they take down the robot. Dash looks over the class and sees Kacchan giving them a scowl as she glares back.
Flashback
Back at later junior high they were given praises by the principal.
Principle: I can't believe we got three
students from our school matriculating in UA.
He then looks over to Midoriya.
Principal: Especially you Midoriya it's a miracle.
Dash smiles and pats him on his back.
Outside Bakugou shoved the both to the wall. As he grabs Izuku by the shirt and presses Dash's head against the wall.
Kacchan: What kind of dirty trick did you do to get in?!
Dash tried to retort but he pushed even harder making her wince in pain.
Kacchan: "The first student from his school to go to UA." My future plan has already been torn to pieces. I told you to go somewhere else! Did you have Dash to help you with those robots!
He then saw Izuku put a hand on his wrist.
Izuku: Kacchan.
Kacchan looks up to Izuku.
Izuku: Someone told me "that I could be a hero". I did this with my own effort…
Dash was proud but also feeling immense pain as she grabbed Kacchan by his collar.
Dash: LET GO OF US!
She pushed Kacchan to the ground releasing her from his grip. They both glared at each other.
Dash: Like I said from the exams I'm not afraid of you anymore. You made my life a living hell and I'm not gonna stand for it ever again.
Izuku grabbed Dash by her shoulder and looked over to Kacchan.
Izuku: Were going…!
Flashback
Dash looks away as he did too and sees that Izuku was blushing and Uraraka is still being cute. Dash just gives him her infamous 'oh I see' grins.
Uraraka: I wonder if today is just the entrance ceremony and orientation? I wonder what our teacher's like? Aren't you excited?
Izuku:[Whisper] S-so close!
Aizawa: Go somewhere else if you want a play at being friends.
Everyone winced seeing Aizawa in a yellow sleeping bag lying on the floor behind Ururaka.
Dash: How did he get here and why does he look like a Caterpillar?!
Everyone was silent, just silent.
Aizawa: This is the hero course.
He unzipped the sleeping bag and took a sip of juice. As four of them had dark tints and frightened faces.
Izuku/Uraraka/Dash/Iida: Something there?!
Aizawa then started to remove the sleeping bag.
Aizawa: It took you eight seconds before you were quiet. Time is limited. You kids aren't rational enough.
Everyone gasped.
Dash: [Whisper to Izuku] Is he the teacher.
Izuku: [Whisper] I think so. He must be a pro hero but I have never seen him before.
Dash: [Whisper] Me neither he looks kinda worned out must have been a hero for a long while.
Aizawa: I'm your homeroom teacher Shota Aizawa. Nice to meet you.
Izuku/Dash: Homeroom Teacher!
Aizawa then reached into his sleeping bag and pulled out there training uniforms.
Aizawa: This might be sudden but these on and head to the field.
All: Huh?

UA Training Field
Everyone was on the field now in their uniforms.
All: A quirk assessment Test?!
Uraraka: What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?
Aizawa: When you're going to become a hero you don't have time for leisurely events.
Everyone sighs and awed
Aizawa: UA's selling points is how unrestricted it schools traditions are. That is how the teachers run their classes.
Dash was standing between Asui and Uraraka having swirls in her eyes.
Dash: My first day and I'm already having a teat.
She leaned on Asui a little before noticing and getting off.
Dash: Sorry Asui-chan!
Asui just gives her a smile before putting a hand on her shoulder.
Asui: It's ok Nashito-chan but you can call me Tsu.
Dash: Oh you can call me Dash then.
They both smile at each other before returning their attention back to Aizawa.
Aizawa: You kids have been doing this since junior high, right?
He pulls out a phone showing them all their names.
Aizawa: Physical fitness test where you weren't allowed to use your quirks.
Dash thought back to those days and thought how much hell she had without her quirk.
Aizawa: The country still uses aderverges results from students not using their quirks. It's not rational. Well, the Ministry of Education is procrastinating.
He then turns to Bakugo.
Aizawa: Bakugo, you finished at the top of the practical exams, right?
This got his intention as everyone looked at him.
Aizawa: In junior high, what was your best results for the softball throw?
Bakugo: 67 meters.
Aizawa: Then try doing that with your quirk.
Bakugo was now at the softball throw circle.
Aizawa: You can do whatever you want as long as you stay in the circle. Hurry, give it all you got.
Bakugo stretched his arm to the side.
Bakugo: Then, well…
He then got in a pitcher's position.
Bakugo: I'll add a blast to the pitch.
He then rear back and throws the ball with an explosion.
Bakugo: Die!
Dash: I knew he was gonna say that.
Aizawa: Know your own maximum first.
The ball then dropped and the result appeared on his phone. He then turned to the students.
Aizawa: This is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero.
He showed everyone his score which was a 705.2 meters. Everyone gasped as the camera shifted to an electric haired boy, Denki Kaminari, and a raven hair, pony tail girl, Momo Yaoyorozu.
Denki: 705.2 meters? Seriously?
A pink alien like girl grabs on an unimpressed Dash's shoulder this was Mina Ashifo.
Mina: what is this? This seems fun, right?
Dash looks at her blushing.
Dash: Yeah it seems cool.
Black haired boy, Sero Hanta, pumped his fist.
Sero: We can use our quirks for all we want! As expected from the hero course!
Mina let go of a still blushing Dash as she looked over to Aizawa who had a glare at everyone.
Aizawa: "It seems fun," huh?
They all went silent and stared at him.
Aizawa: You have three years to become a hero. Will you have attitudes like that all through the years?
Dash: Huh?
Aizawa then looks at them with a sly smile.
Aizawa: Whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion.
Everyone was shocked with this news.
Everyone: Huh?!
Everything around Aizawa had a dark aura as Dash was freaking out.
Dash: The person with the lowest score is going home! I-I don't know what to do! But I gotta try, I need to do this!
She looks over to Izuku to see he was also freaking out.
Dash: I'm more worried for Izuku. He can't control his quirk yet, how can he get by eight tests?
Aizawa then snaps her out of her daze.
Aizawa: Were free to do what we want about our circumstances for our students.
He then moved the hair out of his face.
Aizawa: Welcome to UA's Hero Course!
Dash gives of a determined stare.
Dash: I got this!
Uraraka: Last place will be expelled? But it's the first day of school! No, even if this wasn't the first day of school it's not fair!
Aizawa: Natural disaster, big accidents, and selfish villains. Calamities whose time or place cant be predicted. Japan is covered in unfairness. Heros are the ones who reverse those situations. If you want to go talk to your friends at Mickey D's after school, too bad. For the next three years, UA will do all it can give you one hardship after another.
Aizawa: Go Beyond. Plus Ultra. Overcome it with all you got.
Iida then takes a sip from his drink from his pocket.
Iida: This is too serious to be hazing. However, this is the best of the best. There is no choice but to do it.
Bakugo was doing windmills with his right arm.
Bakugo: This isn't all I got.
Uruaka gave off a determined look as Dash cracked her knuckles and Izuky clenched his fist to his chest.
Aizawa: All right demonstration over, the real thing starts now.
Test 1: 50 meter dash
The first ones to start were Iida and Asui.
Robot Counter: On your mark!
They were both in a starting position.
Robot Counter: Go!
They both ran off with Iida dusting Asui with the engines on his legs and passed the finish line.
Robot Counter: 3.04 seconds.
Asui then hopped past the finish line. Iida skidded to a stop.
Iida: For a 50 meter I can only go up to third gear…
The camera then zips up to his face.
Name: Tenya Iida
Quirk: Engine
As you can see his legs are fast due to the engines on his legs.
Aizawa: Looka like a fish out of water let's see how the others do.
Asui got 5.58 seconds as she high fived Dash. Uraraka used her quirk on her clothes and her shoes.
Name: Ochako Uraraka
Quirk: Zero Gravity
She can nullify the gravitational pull of any object but if she uses it much she can get really nauseous.
Robot Counter: Go!
She then goes in a sprint crossing the finish line after a blond boy with a long tail, this was Mashiro Ojiro. Which got a 5.52 as Uraraka got 7.15 seconds as she was happy for.
Uraraka: That's faster than when I was in junior high!
A blond boy was at the start with Mina. This was Yuga Ayoma. He turns around away from the track.
Ayoma: Everyone you're not being creative enough.
As the Robot Counter said go he jumps up and fires a laser from his belt propelling him in the air.
Name: Yuga Ayoma
Quirk: Navel Laser
He can shoot a beam from his bellybutton.
As he was flying away he stopped and fell to the ground as Mina ran past him and went back to it finishing in 5.21 seconds.
Ayoma: If I shoot for more than a second I get a stomachache.
Dash: Hm I feel sorry for him.
Dash was up next as she got to the track and she pulled out the blue screen surprising everyone.
Mina: What is that?
Sero: I have no idea.
Dash grabs the Growl Morpher before doing the morph sequence.
Dash: Wild Access! Hah!
She got into a running passion as the cheetah bites into her head creating her helmet.
Robot Counter: Go!
She blasted off on all fours crossing the finish line in 3.43 seconds.
Dash: Yes!
Name: Nashito Dash
Quirk: Power Ranger (Wild Force)
One of her many forms giving her the power of the cheetah.
She demorphs back into her training uniform with a smile giving thumbs up. Up next was Midoriya and Bakugo. They both launched off as the robot said go. Bakugo pulled back his hands and used his explosions to propel himself to the finish line.
Name: Katsuki Bakugo
Quirk: Explosion
He swears nitroglycerin and now just thinks about that.
Izuku crossed the finish line in 7.02 seconds. Dash ran to panting Izuku as pats him on the back.
Dash: You doin ok Izuku?
He gives her thumbs up and she sighs.
Izuku: There are seven more tests left. I bet everyone will use their quirks to produce extraordinary results.
Dash: Don't let that get you down Izuku. I believe you.
Izuku: You always say that Dash but I have a quirk that I can only use once. I need to control even if I have to imagine in my head when I actually have to use it.
Dash grabs him by his collar and brings him by her height.
Dash: Stop being hard on yourself. Remember what All Might said on the boardwalk.
She put two of her fingers up.
Dash: Like a microwave and the egg right, you have to lower it enough to stop…
Izuku: To stop the egg from exploding.
Dash: Wow, that brain of yours is actually working.
She let's go of his collar as he lightly punches her arm.
Izuku: Shut up.
Dash smiles at him before he puts a hand on her shoulder.
Izuku: Dash…. thanks for being there.
Dash: No problemo. Now let's go! Last one there is rotten egg
She runs off to the next test with Izuku following.
Test 2: Grip Strength
Dash held up her grip tester.
Dash: I already know I'm gonna be terrible in this one.
She grip the handle and beets she looks at it, a 63.4
Dash: Wow not ba-
She screams as someone dropped something on her foot. Asui came over as Dash was holding her foot in pain.
Asui: Dash I'm so sorry, I don't really have that much of a grip so it slipped.
Dash had a few tears in her eye but gave Asui a thumbs up.
Dash: I'm fine.
She tried to stand up but she stumbled over before getting caught in her arms, as she started blushing.
Dash: I'm sorry! I just stumbled!
Asui picked her back up.
Asui: It's fine Dash it was just an accident.
Dash: Y-Yeah thank you.
She then gave her a heartfelt smile making her heart beat faster.
Test 3: Standing Long Jump
Aoyama used, navel laser to jump across the sand with Bakugou following. Izuku was next as he only jumped halfway. Dash was coming up next as she went through her morphers Mina came up to her.
Mina: Whoa, what are all these?
Dash: Oh these are my morphers, they all have different abilities, strengths, and weaknesses.
Mina: Oh what you're planning to use.
Dash then had the Transmorpher sphere behind her.
Dash: Well I thought I would use a stone ramp with Lost Galaxy but I would mean I need momentum and Lost Galaxy cant go that fast.
The Rev Morpher was next.
Dash: So I thought of using RPM, but the problem with that is that it goes too fast and I need to time my jump to do it.
Mina then points to orange sunglasses called the Solar Morpher.
Mina: How about that one?
Dash then thought of it for a sec before getting a light ball.
Dash: Mina you're a genius!
Mina blushes a little as Dash grabs the Solar Morpher.
Aizawa: Nashito you're up next.
Dash nods and gets to that starting line. As she starts running she puts on the shades and starts morphing.
Dash: Jungle Beast! Spirit Unleash!
She did some quick hand movements before as she jumped she fired it forward making her morph in the air and dropped on the ground now in Jungle Fury Mode.
Dash: Yes!
She then gives a thumbs up to Mina who was just staring.
Test 3: Side Step
Dash and Izuku were watching a grape boy, Mineta, bounce between two bouncy balls for the side step.
Dash: Yeah I got nothing for this one. How about you Izuku?
She looked over to Izuku who had a shocked face on.
Dash: Izuku…
Test 4: Ball Throw
Uraraka had the ball and threw it to the sky until it was long gone. Aizawa showed them the score showing an infinity sign.
All: Infinity?!
Denki: No way?! She got infinity!
Dash: Yeah there's no way I can beat that.
Aizawa: Nashito your next.
She gets up to start up and Aizawa throws her the ball.
Dash: Ok time give it all I got!
She gets in a throwing position and….. throws it straight up.
Everyone was shocked.
All: Why did she just do that?!
Dash then brought out her Rev Morpher.
Dash: RPM!
She flick the lever.
Dash: Get in Gear!
Panel then formed on the inside as she raced into them making her suit appear, golden wheels on her wrist, as she came to a stop seat belts attached to her utility belt, and last her helmet appeared on her head.
Dash: RPM Orange!
Everyone looked at her new transformation.
Sero: Whoa, what's that one?
Izuku: I can answer that for you. That's RPM the fastest of her transformations due to those wheels on her ankles. She kinda uses it to get around most of the time.
Dash then hits the middle part on her belt making the number on her chest glow when a giant hammer appears in the air. She grabs hold of it and spins it around a little.
Dash: Rockot Hammer!
Izuku: Also she has to scream out the name for her weapons to use them.
Everyone was dumbfounded as Aizawa was surprised she brought out her hammer. As the ball is coming down she reels back the hammer before a huge thruster comes out from the back before it comes into contact with the ball sending it flying. Aizawa then gives her a score of 952.8.
Dash: Awesome!
She puts the hammer on her shoulders before walking back to the crowd as they all stare at her.
Dash: What? I was being creative with it.
They all let out a laugh.
Mina: It's going to be fun having you around.
Dash laughs before demophing feeling tired. She then noticed Izuku looking pretty grim before walking over.
Dash: What wrong?
Izuku: Oh nothing, nothing at all!
Dash then gave him the 'are you sure about that' look before he cracked.
Izuku: It's my quirk Dash I can't just be able to just do the thing already. Everyone's leaving with one or more amazing results.
He then appears in the circle seeing Dash had pushed him in there before giving him the ball.
Dash: Then give it all you got.
She returned back to the group standing by Uraraka.
Iida: It doesn't look good for Midoriya, if he continues like this.
Bakugo: Huh? He's a quirkless small fry you know.
Dash clenched onto her arm in anger.
Iida: Quirkless?! Are you not aware of what he did in the entrance exam?
Bakugo: Huh?
Izuku was standing there thinking of what everyone had said to him before he turned to Dash. She had her signature smile on giving him a thumbs up. He then reeled back his arm, activating his quirk before Aizawa's eyes turned red. When Izuku threw the ball he only got 46 meters. He and Dash were just shocked.
Izuku: What happened, was just trying to use it?
Aizawa cloth then flowed in the air.
Aizawa: I erased your quirk.
They both turn to Aizawa who was freaking scary when Dash caught a glimpse of a golden goggles.
Aizawa: That entrance exam wasn't rational enough. Even a kid like you was accepted
Dash: … EraserHead?
Everyone: Huh?
Dash: Those goggles his quirk let him look at anyone and their quirk is gone. Not a lot of people know of him.
All might was hiding behind a corner.
All Might: He doesn't like media attention because he says it hinders his work. He and I don't really get along.
Aizawa: From what I can see is that you can't control your quirk, right? Hurting yourself hoping for someone to help you.
Izuku: That not my intention-
He was then cut off when Aizawa cloth wrapped around him and brought him closer.
Aizawa: Whatever your intentions. I mean those around you will be forced to. In the past there was a passionate hero who saved thousands and created a legacy. You'll be decked and turned into a doll after saving one person.
Dash: That's not right he may not be able to control it now but there always be able to learn.
Aizawa: Izuku Midoriya, with your quirk you'll never become a hero.
That almost made Dash snap as she was about to run up to them and she was grabbed by Iida, Uraraka, and Asui. She resisted for a little before becoming tired since she morphed too much. They retracted away from her as she leaned on Asui feeling tired. Aizawa then unwrapped the cloth from Izuku before walking away.
Aizawa: Hurry it up and get it over with.
Dash was holding on to Asui when Aizawa came by her. She gave him a harsh glare as he kept on walking.
