My Power Ranger
Chapter 6
Dash finally woke up after her short nap and was still on Izuku's shoulder.
Izuku: Do you have a great nap, princess?
Dash: Shut broccoli boy.
Everyone was still surprised on his throw and still talking about it.
Uraraka: Nice he's finally showing us his true power!
Iida: But his finger appears to be broken, his quirk is very odd.
Aoyama: It was really a very flash throw not like the plus eyed girl.
Kacchan on the other hand was the most shocked about this knowing that he was quirk less for his whole life.
Kacchan: What was that?! If he had a quirk ke would've gotten it when we were kids! And Dash even knows he didn't have a quirk! They're up to something.
He then remembers the thing Izuku said to him back at their middle school.
Izuku: (Someone I looked up to, told me I had what it takes to be a hero! That's why I'm going to the U.A.)
Kacchan's hand started making small explosions.
Kacchan: I'm getting to the bottom of this.
He then rushed at them at full speed.
Kacchan: Hey!
They look at Kacchan with his hand raised ready to hit them.
Kacchan: Deku you bastard, tell me how you did that or you're dead?!
They both screamed at the top of their lungs as he rushed at them. Before he can get them, Aizawa's skarf are wrapped around him keeping him in place.
Dash: What the hell…
Kacchan: Why… is your scarf… so strong…!
Aizawa: Cause it's a capture weapon made from carbon fiber and a special metal alloy. Stand down.
Dash and Izuku stepped back a little as Kacchan was still struggling in the scarf.
Aizawa: I refrain from using my quirk as much. It gives me a serious dry eye.
Students: Too bad that quirk is seriously awesome.
Class 1-A Teacher Shota Aizawa
Quirk: Erase
He can erase anyone's quirk with a single look but the effect ends when he blinks.
Aizawa unwraps the scarf from Kacchan.
Aizawa: You're wasting my time now whomever next you can step up.
Izuku quickly got past Kacchan but Dash gave him a glare before passing. Kacchan stood there angrily.
Uraraka: Is your finger ok?
Izuku: Sure it's fine.
Dash: A bit of ice and some healing will be fine for him.
Iida: Nashito, you seemed pretty bad out there too.
Asui: Yeah, ribbit, you seemed pretty tired but you're ok now?
Dash: Oh when I morph and morph a lot it'll make me really tired, but a few minutes of sleep and back to myself.
Kacchan: (Before the exams he was nothing just a little bug that I could crush if I wanted to)
Flashback
Little Izuku, Kacchan, and Dash were walking through the forest collecting bugs.
Little Izuku: Wow, your quirk is amazing Kacchan.
Little Dash: With your explosion you'll be a powerful hero!
Little Izuku: I hope when I get my quirk it'll be as strong as yours!
Little Kacchan then turned back to them.
Little Kacchan: Whatever guys, whatever power you end with you'll never be able to beat me.
Little Dash: Even if Izuku's quirk is still developing, we're still going to be best friends.
She brings them into a side hug and the boys just chuckle.
Kacchan: Yeah plus eyes.
Flashback End
Kacchan was giving them both a glare which they didn't notice.
Kacchan: Just an annoying bug that I can smash into the ground!
Rage You Damn Nerd!
After that they were all doing sit ups, seated toe touches, and a long distance run. Izuku plopped on the ground tuckered out as everyone else walked pass.
Dash: Come on, we got to look at our scores.
She picked Izuku up by his hand and they walked over to everyone else.
Aizawa: Ok I ranked you from worst to best. You should probably know of your standing already. I'll just pull up the whole list, it's not worth going to each individual score.
Dash was tapping on her arm nervously.
Dash: (I did well in a few of the challenges, the ball throw one was a pinch, I should be at an average, right?)
Aizawa then pulls up the scores on a holographic screen.
Dash: (Well it is now or never.)
She looks over the board, finding herself behind Tokoyami, exciting her.
Dash: (I made it! I wasn't worried at all, I knew I was gonna pass.)
She then looks down the list.
Dash: (I wonder where Izuku is- Oh no…)
She saw Izuku, dead last. She looked at Izuku who was beside her. He had a grim face on with his head hanging. She was about to comfort him when she heard these words.
Aizawa: Also I was lying, no one is going home.
Everyone was silent with wide eyes.
Aizawa: That was a rafinal deception to make sure you gave it your all.
Everyone exclaimed in utter shock.
Dash: WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!!!
Momo: I'm surprised you all haven't figured it out. Sorry I should've said something.
Everyone: (Ya you should have)
Aizawa: That's it, you're done for the day. Pick up a syllabus in the classroom. Read it over before tomorrow morning.
Izuku sighed in relief as he hangs his
Dash: It looked like you almost had a heart attack, Izuku.
Izuku: That is an understatement.
Aizawa: Midoriya.
He looks up and Aizawa gives him a nurse slip.
Aizawa: Take this and let the old lady fix you up. Things are gonna be tougher when your actual training begins. Make sure you're prepared.
They both look on as he walks away and Dash gives out a smile.
Dash: He's not bad of a grump after all.
She chuckles a little before looking at Izuku who was looking down.
Dash: Still bummed out huh?
Izuku: Huh, maybe. I managed to get through the first day but there was so much I completely failed at. I'm starting at the bottom and still have stuff to learn.
Dash: Hey you're not alone, I only got a few good scores but I still have a lot to learn about my quirk. I haven't gotten good at shooting all my blasters yet or using my other weapons.
Izuku: You're right, we're gonna have to work hard if we're going to achieve our dreams.
Dash: That's the spirit!
UA Hallways
Other kids were walking down the hallway trying to get to class when our plus eyed, blue haired protagonist came running past.
Dash: Sorry, almost late for class!
She kept on running, holding onto her back to keep from falling.
Dash: (Why did I have to take so long in the showers?! I'm almost late because of it!)
She kept on running until she finally got to Math class. She was panting as she entered and took her seat. She plopped her head on the table and let out a grown.
Dash: I shove just gone Rpm it would've been faster.
?: Well you seem tired.
She looks over to her sightseeing Kirishima and Tsuyu.
Dash: Kirishima-kun, Tsuyu-chan.
Tsuyu: I told you, just call me Tsu.
Kirishima: And call me Kirishima.
Dash: Sorry.
Tsuyu: It's fine. (ribbit)
Kirishima: So what's your name?
Speed: It's Nashito Dash.
Kirishima: Ejiro Kirishima.
They both shake hands and Dash feels his skin is rough.
Dash: Kirishima, your skin is so rough.
Kirishima: Oh that's from my quirk, Hardening, I can harden my skin to toughen it up.
Tsuyu: Pretty cool, mine frog, it basically gives me the traits of frogs.
Dash: Oh does that mean you eat flies?
It was silent for a moment as a fly passed by and Tsuyu quickly lifted out her tongue and ate it.
Tsuyu: So what if I do?
Dash and Kirishima were stunned and looked at each other before snapping out of it.
Kirishima: So what's your quirk, Nashito? We caught a bit of it at the training ground.
Dash: Oh, my quirk is called power rangers. I have different forms with different fighting styles.
Tsuyu: So how many do you have?
Dash: 21.
Kiri/Tsu: 21?!
Dash: Yup, my most recent one is Beast Morphers.
Kirishima: Wait, how do you get them?
Dash: I have no idea, I think I have to earn them but I'm not sure.
The teacher Ectoplasm then came in.
Ectoplasm: Ok students settle down.
Dash looks at the cloning hero with stars in her eyes.
Dash: (Omg its Ectoplasm the cloning hero!)
Ectoplasm: Welcome to Math class. I'm your teacher, Ectoplasm. I hope for this year's students to excel a leap forward to the next generation of heros.
Everyone: Yes Sensei!
Dash: (This is the best day of my life!)
End of Day
Dash: I'm so tired…
She was finally done with classes and was walking home when Izuku appeared beside her the same way.
Dash: So what's wrong with you?
Izuku: Tired, you?
Dash: Same, thinking of jumping in a warm bath when I get home.
Izuku: Maybe I'll do that too.
He then has a hand on his shoulder. They turn around to see Iida.
Dash: Oh hey there Iida, how are you doing?
Iida: I'm doing fine, Nashito. How is Midoriya's finger?
Izuku: It's doing fine thanks to Recovery Girl.
He tells them how she healed him and if he keeps doing that he'll maybe be killed.
Dash: Remind me to heal on my own, Izuku.
Iida: I was concerned with Sensei's approach to class but I trust the school's judgment, UA is the top program. Even though lying is just immoral.
Dash: He may have lied to us, but he's just making sure we can give out 100% and push us to our limit!
Iida: You're more optimistic. I thought you were Nashito, I'm surprised. I thought you were some girl that only came here for glory and fame.
Dash: Ew gross, I don't care about that. I came here to become a real hero who fights for all the little guys out there who can't fight for themselves.
Iida: That's a good reason to become a hero, Nashito.
She then pulls Izuku into a side hug.
Dash: And to help with this guy and his dream of becoming a hero.
Izuku: Dash, cut it out!
?: Hey! Wait up you three!
?: Yeah, were you guys going?
They turned around to see Ururaka and Tsuyu running up to them.
Uraraka: Are you heading to the station?
Tsuyu: We'll join you.
Iida: Oh you're the infinity girl and frog girl.
Uraraka: I'm Ochoco Uraraka
Tsuyu: And I'm Tsuyu Asui but call me Tsu.
Uraraka: Let's see, your name is Tenya Iida, yours Nashito Dash, and yours is Deku right? Midoriya?
Izuku: Deku?!
Uraraka: Uh yeah, isn't that what Bakugo called you? He said-
Kacchan: DEKU YOU BASTARD!!!
Izuku was now blushing from embarrassment.
Dash: Actually his real name is Izuku, Deku is what Kacchan calls him to make fun of him.
Iida: That's unsportsmanlike.
Tsuyu: That's rude for him.
Dash: He's not really a "team player" as you saw.
Uraraka: Oh I'm sorry but you know I like Deku. It can make a great hero name and it also sounds kinda cute.
Izuku: Deku it is!
Iida/Tsu: What just like that?! Weren't you saying I was an insult?
Izuku: Peritomic shift, my whole world is upside down!
He starts laughing as everyone was confused except Dash who knew what was going on.
Dash: Oh I get it. He's in lo-
Izuku immediately covers her mouth as she struggles in his grip.
Izuku: Shut up Dash!
They were now walking home.
Izuku: We survived our first day of UA.
Dash: Even though you kinda failed.
Izuku: But you know what All Might, at least I'm making some more friends.
Tomorrow
English
Dash: (We have regular core classes in the morning.)
PM: Now which one of these sentences contain a mistake.
Dash raises her hand.
PM: Yes Nashito?
Dash: There should be a question mark on the last one.
PM: And that's correct!
Cafeteria
Izuku: (We have lunch in the main cafeteria where we buy lunch on the cheap.)
LunchRush: White rice is the perfect comfort food.
Uraraka and Tsuyu agree as Izuku is fanboying across from her. Dash was trying to not burst from excitement as Iida examines him.
1-A
Dash: (And then the best part of the day comes.)
Izuku: (Hero training.)
All of 1-A are sitting in class when All Might rushes into the classroom with his hero suit on.
All Might: Coming through the door like a hero!
Everyone gasped as they saw him.
All Might: Welcome to the most important class in UA. Think of it as UA 101. Here you'll learn how to be a real hero like a real hero.
He flexes before holding a battle sign.
All Might: Battle Training!
Dash jumps in her seat when she hears battle training.
Dash: No way, finally!
All Might: But the key to being a hero is looking good!
Everyone cheered in excitement.
Izuku: Costumes.
Dash: Oh! It took me so long to think what mine would look like.
Flashback
Dash was in her room with a pen and pencil trying to think of some ideas.
Dash: Maybe a samurai garb?
She imagines herself in an orange and black samurai garb. (Samurai Uniform)
Dash: No, that's leaning a little too much into Samurai.
She was now leaning on her bedpost with paper wads filling her trash can.
Dash: A white jacket with black outlines.
She imagines herself in it before shaking it off. (Time Force Uniform)
Dash: No to Time Force!
She was now in her bed and Nella gave her dinner.
Dash: How about ninja?
She imagines herself in black ninja ninja garbs with a light green outline. (Ninja Storm Uniform)
Dash: No to Ninja Storm! Ugh, I give up!
She lays her down before looking at two papers before gasping.
Dash: I got it!
Flashback End
Training Ground Beta
All Might was waiting outside a tunnel as 1-A came out wearing their costumes.
All Might: They say the clothes make the hero and guys make it proof.
They then come to the light making their clothes shine.
All Might: Take this to heart. From now on you are heros in training!
They all take their places.
All Might: Oh my god! You look so cool! Now let's get started.
In the tunnel the others heard footsteps coming from the tunnel.
Dash: This is it! Time to get things started Deku.
Izuku: You know it!
They came into the light and everyone saw their costumes. Izuku looks like a smaller All Might but Dash. She was wearing an orange on the left and black on the right costume (SPD) with a blaster on her side. She also had an orange sleeveless jacket with a thunderbolt on the back with two letters P and R (Wild Force).
Uraraka: Hey Deku, Dash! I love your costumes.
Izuku: Uraraka!
Dash: I'm loving your costume too. You look like a space woman.
Uraraka: Yeah, I should've been more specific about this costume, skin tight, not really my style.
Dash: Yeah mine with the spandex and all but it's cool.
Mineta then appears beside them before giving out a thumbs up.
Mineta: I love this school.
Dash then gives out a blush with a glare.
Dash: Mineta?!
Dash after stuffing Mineta in a nearby trash can looks at Deku's costume and back at All Might before trying not to laugh.
Dash: (He's so obvious!)
Now with the others they were now grouped up.
All Might: Now let's get down to business.
Iida: Sir!
Dash: (Woah! Iida is in there, he looks so cool but where have I seen that armor before?)
Iida: This is the fake city we had during hero exams. Does that mean we are conducting urban battles again?
All Might: Not quite I'm gonna move you two steps ahead.
The screen then shows the fight in episode one.
All Might: Most of the villain fights you see take place outside. However, statistically most of the dastardly villain fights take place indoors.
Dash: (Ok so none of my zords are useful. Good to no.)
All Might: Think about it, backroom deals, home invasion, secret underground labs. A smart villain would keep to the shadows. In this exercise you will be splitted into teams of good guys and bad guys and fight 3 on 3 indoor battles.
Tsuyu: (Concerned) Isn't this a little advance?
All Might: The best training is made on the battlefield!
Dash: (Like sending a couple of teenagers with attitude on the battlefield.)
All Might: So remember you're not punching a robot this time. You're dealing with actual people so don't go too big, I'm talking to you Nashito.
Dash: I get it, no zord….but can I still use penguin in origami mode?
Momo: Sir, are you going to decide who wins?
Kacchan: How much can we hurt the other team.
Uraraka: Should we be worried about the losers being expelled compared to earlier?
Iida: Are you splitting us up by chance or comparing skills?
Ayoma: Is this cape fantastic?
Dash: All those were good questions except Kacchan, But that cape is so golden!
Ayoma: Thank you!
All Might: I wasn't done talking….
He then brings out a script.
All Might: Listen up! The villains have to hide a nuclear missile somewhere in their hideout. The hero has to fool their plans. To do it they either have to capture the evil-doers or recover the weapon. Likewise the villains win if they protect their payload or capture the heros.
Dash: Seems easy enough like a fighting video game.
All Might then holds up a box.
All Might: We'll choses teams by drawing lots!
Iida: Isn't there a better way?
Izuku: Think about it. Heros sometimes have to team up with others at different agencies on the spot so maybe that's why were seeing it here
Dash: Yeah it's helping with our cooperation with other heros and indoor fights.
Iida: Yes, life is a very random series of events.
He then bows to All Might
Iida: Excuse my rudeness!
All Might: No sweat, let's draw!
One by one they drew from the box and Dash got picked as Team A with Uraraka and Izuku. Dash then brings them into the side hug. Izuku being the tallest one as she is the same height as Uraraka.
Dash: Oh yeah! The dream team!
Uraraka: What are the chances?!
Izuku: (Oh my gosh I have to make a good impression on her!)
Dash then looks over to Tsuyu as she pairs up with Iida and Kacchan of team D.
Dash: (I'm so sorry my friend…)
All Might then has his hand in the hero and villain boxes.
All Might: And the first ones to be battling out are…. These guys!
He pulls oh A and D.
Dash: WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?!
Tsuyu: I have no idea, ribbit?!
All Might: Team A will be the heros and Team D will be the villains. Everyone one else heads to the monitoring room to watch.
Everyone: Yes sir!
Everyone passes by Izuku as he stays silent. He looked to his side, seeing Kacchan glaring at him before looking back. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looked back seeing Dash nodding to him giving out her signature smiles. He sighs and gives a glare back to Kacchan which makes him gasp before growling. They then head to the building.
All Might: Bad guys you can go on in and get set up. In 5 minutes the heroes will let loose and the battle will start.
Everyone: Yes sir.
As the bad guys head in they are stopped by All Might.
All Might: Young Iida, Young Bakugou, Young Asui, when you're in there you'll have to embrace the art of villainy.
Kacchan then looks over to Izuku as Dash leans on the rails.
Iida: Yes sir.
All Might: If things go too far I'll step in.
Iida: Understood.
He growls aggressively.
Inside
Iida ,now with his helmet off, walks to the fake bomb.
Iida: Even though this is training it pains me to be aligned to criminal behavior.
Asui: Heh it's not that bad all we need to do is guard this thing.
Iida then knocks on the bomb.
Iida: Fake of course.
Kacchan: Hey!
They look over to Kacchan who has his back towards them.
Kacchan: Do you guys really think Deku has a quirk?
Iida: You saw how he threw that ball.
Asui: It's obvious he has a quirk.
Iida: But I think his power damages his body.
Asui: Why do you care so much about it, is it bothering you, ribbit?
Iida: Yes, why is it that makes you so angry at Midoriya?
Kacchan: (Was he seriously tricking me all these years?)
He then has a red aura around him as he looks up with a sinister glare.
Kacchan: (I'm gonna roast that damn nerd today!)
Outside
The heroes were now reading over the floor plan.
Dash: Yeah I'm not gonna remember this.
Uraraka: Yeah they think we're gonna memorize these floor plans. You know All Might is so cool in person then on tv. I'm glad he's not giving us a harsh punishment like Aizawa-
Dash then puts a finger on Uraraka's mouth.
Dash: Hold that thought.
She then smacks Izuku on the head, restarting his brain.
Dash: Get a hold of yourself, you're sweating like me on Monday's.
Izuku: Sorry I'm just nervous, we're going against Kacchan and Iida too. Who knows what they'll pull?
Uraraka: Oh yeah Bakugou he's the one who makes fun of you.
Izuku: Yeah… and he's amazing.
Dash then clenches her fist and punches the rail leaving it bent.
Uraraka: Didn't that hurt.
Dash: Very…
Izuku: He may be a jerk, but he also has strength, confidence, and ambition, even his quirk are all better then mine.
Dash then grabs him by the collar.
Dash: Shut up.
Izuku: Dash…
Dash: Please, shut up. I'm tired of you looking down on yourself. I know you're not as good as him. He's awesome, amazing in fact but guess what you don't have the pride he has and that's his biggest downfall. You may not be the strongest or smartest but you actually have a gift in you. Now please stop looking down on yourself, it's making myself look like a bad friend.
She let's go as Izuku straightens himself out.
Izuku: It's ok Dash. I should think more highly of myself so I have to give it all I got.
He then puts his on his mask.
Izuku: I refuse to lose today.
Uraraka gave out a small smile.
Uraraka: So it's a fated battle against rivals.
Izuku: (Nervously) Not like I'm trying to get you wrapped up in my fight or anything.
Uraraka: Are you kidding, we're a team, remember?
Dash wipes a tear from her eyes.
Dash: Like I said I got your back till the end of time.
Uraraka/Dash: Let's win this!
Izuku just smiled and nodded.
All Might then appears on the mike.
All Might: Alright let's begin indoor combat training! Team A and Team D your time starts now!
Dash turned to her team.
Dash: Let's go kick villain butt and be awesome doing it.
They both nodded.
Monitoring Room
The others were in a room with a huge screen in front of them.
All Might: Pay attention kid. Think about what you would do.
All Might: (Young Midoriya in this class you're just a student.)
He then puts on the earpiece.
All Might: (I'll grade you like anyone else without playing favorites.)
Inside
Team A crawled in through a window and Dash took out her blaster.
Uraraka: And just like that we're in.
Izuku: Careful there are a lot of blindspots.
Dash: Don't worry I'm always careful.
They walked through the hall having their backs against the walls peering behind another before moving out. Dash had her blaster at the ready as she kept a good grip on it.
Dash: (You got this Nashito, you can do this. You're the only one with a combat quirk. Uraraka needs objects to propel anything and Izuku won't be able to use his quirk due to the drawback. So you have to be the backbone of the team.)
As they kept walking and Dash pep talking to herself, Kacchan jumps from behind a corner and Izuku pushes Uraraka and himself out of the way taking some of the blast from the Kacchan explosion but Dash gets a full hit.
Izuku: Dash!
Ururaka: Is she ok? She took on the full blast and OH Deku?!
Izuku: It's just my mask, Dash I'm worried about.
As the smoke cleared, Kacchan had his hand in the air clearing the smoke as Dash was in a whole in the wall.
Kacchan: What's the matter, Deku is scared to stand up and fight me. Already took care of Dashy here.
Izuku: I figured you'll come at me first. I knew you were trying to catch me by surprise.
Monitoring Room
Mineta: He almost got the jump on them.
Momo: But it looks like Nashito is out cold.
Kirishima: A sneak attack by Bakugo. What kind of man plans cheap crap like that?
All Might: He's playing the part acting like a true villain would.
Mina: It didn't work in Midoriya or Uraraka but Dash took on the fool blow.
Kacchan on the screen the stars rushing at Izuku.
Kaminari: Look he's going on them!
Building
Kacchan: I'm going to hurt you so bad they're going to have to stop the fight! Just look!
He went to throw a punch but Izuku grabbed onto his right arm.
Uraraka: Wow incredible!
Izuku turned around and in slow motion judo throwed him.
Kacchan: (H-How'd he know he's not that good?!)
Izuku then slammed him on his back letting out a scream.
Izuku: K-Kacchan…
Kacchan then starts to slowly get up.
Izuku: You always go for a right hook to start a fight I know cause I watched you for all these years.
Kacchan turns around to him.
Izuku: I analyze every amazing hero, even you, I wanted to learn everything I could about them. It was all in the notebook you burned and threw away.
Kacchan gritted his teeth as Izuku kept talking.
Izuku: I'm not some helpless kid anymore, you hear that I've changed! For now on, Deku is a name for a hero.
Kacchan got up and got in a crouching stance.
Izuku: Deku..
Flashback
Little Deku: If you keep hurting him i-ill stop you myself!
Flashback End
Izuku was shaking and scared but stood his ground.
Kacchan: You're shaking in your boots, you're so scared.
His hand lit up in explosions.
Kacchan: That's why I hate you!
He lunged for Izuku as he crossed his arms but Kacchan then got shot by something in the back. He was stunned for a little before turning around looking at Dash having her blaster out as she held onto her arm
Dash: Get…. Away from… him.
Monitoring Room
Kirishima: She's still up and pushing through.
Mina: She's so strong!
All Might: (Goodjob Young Nashito.)
Building
Kacchan was staring at Dash as she was pointing her blaster at him.
Flashback
Little Kacchan: Why are you protecting him?
Little Dash: Cause he's my friend!
Flashback End
Kacchan: Dash always protecting him, always staying by his side, always being a pain in my ass!
Dash: I wouldn't be like this if you weren't if you'd hadn't changed. When I got my quirk you actually smiled and congratulated me like everyone else.
Flashback
Little Dash was in an orange suit with diamonds on her chest and triangular like a mohawk on her head.
Little Dash: I look so cool!
Little Izuku: You've got such an awesome quirk Dash!
Little Kacchan had his arms crossed as he smiled.
Little Kacchan: Not as great as mine but it is not bad.
Little Dash smiled through her mask and hugged him.
Little Dash: Thanks Kacchan!
Little Kacchan just gave her a small smile.
Flashback End
Dash: Well I don't care anymore and I'll say this. Even if you're stronger than me, even I know you're better than me! But I know that I'm gonna use my power to protect my friends!
