The mood in the Hermes Cabin was both a sombre one and an angry one. Sombre, because we lost a Cabin Mate, but angry because said Cabin Mate was claimed. To say Ethan was pissed was an understatement, we've been here at Camp for eight years this summer, and we've been in the Hermes' Cabin ever since. The next morning, Percy was moved into the Posidon Cabin, leaving his floorspace bare. Percy's sword lessons became more one-on-one with Luke. I observed most of the time, watching as Percy improved. It was early one morning when I was approached by a hyperactive blonde who begged me to join her on a quest, stating that I promised her when she was young. I complained the entire time she dragged me to the Big House. "Who else would be stupid enough to volunteer for a quest like this?" Percy wondered as we opened the door.

"I've been waiting for a long time for a quest." Annabeth stated, letting go of my hand. I shook it out, man, she's got a grip for a kid four years younger than me. "Athena is no fan of Posidon, but if you're going to save the world, I'm the best person to keep you from messing up."

"If you do say so yourself. I suppose you have a plan, wise girl?" Annabeth's cheeks flushed.

"Do you want our help or not, kelp head?" I asked, crossing my arms, "She's got the brains, I've got the experience. Take it or leave it."

"A quartet. That'll work."

"Excellent." Chiron spoke up, "This afternoon we can take you as far as the bus terminal in Manhattan. After that, you're on your own. No time to waste. I think you should all get packing."

I packed basic quest essentials. I had a bag filled with a few rolls of mortal money, a handful of Drachma, a couple of Ambrosia squares and a canteen of Nectar. I bid goodbye to my cabinmates and my brother, and headed towards the Big House. My left arm was wrapped tightly with bandages that went over my wrists and covered the palms of my hand. After loading up into the camp van alongside Percy, Annabeth and Grover, we were off. I watched as the strawberry fields disappeared. This wasn't my first quest, but I could feel that this one was going to be interesting,
