I blink as I see my Homeroom Sensei, who called me here after school because of my stellar and perfect essay that I magnificently made in class since she asked us to make an essay about how we looked back on our high school days, even though we are only at the second years of this shitty society that imposed views that are meant to curb any individuality and to conform to unity, glaring at me with her fist raised through the blue box. Oops, accidentally said that out loud.

But the fuck? I thought I got rid of this stupid thing! And what do you mean rejection is disabled?! I have to live with you now?! Actually tell me what updates you got now!

"Well? I am waiting, Hikigaya."

Oh right, Sensei is here. Better to just say sorry then get over it.

I open my mouth with full intention to just apologize and make an excuse if she pressed forward but nothing comes out. Then the world crawls to a stop since I can see that the people around us are slowing down until they finally stop in place.

4 blue boxes magically appear in my vision that float above Sensei. Although, the first one seems a bit darker than the other 3.

"A – Nothing, Sensei. I apologize for being a rude, egoistical brat."

"B – I said that you are the most beautiful and cute Sensei that I had ever laid my eyes on."

"C – Can I see your panties?"

"Note – Time will be frozen until user has made a choice. (Option A requires 5 Love Coins (LC) to unlock)

I read the words again. Then again. Then blink as my mind tries to comprehend the sheer absurdity of this.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE THESE OPTIONS?!" I scream without a care since I feel like choosing to kill myself is a better option than to say any of this to another person! Especially the B and C option!

One is the cringiest shit that sends disgust through my body and the other is what you would say to get into prison for sexual assault.

Nope. I quit. I will not play along with this bullshit. You can go to hell with whoever that recommended me!

I swiftly head to the door, avoiding the frozen in time people (sorry but you're on your own!) But freezes as my vision goes black all of a sudden, plunging me into darkness.

Then a large blue box appears right in my face.

"Greetings, new user! Welcome to the "Love? Sign Me The Hell Up!" dating system! Our goal is to bring love to people who hate themselves in the multiverse! We would like to apologize for our failure a year ago. But fortunately, we have rebooted your system and made improvements on it! This will be a short tutorial to explain on the new features!"

Just as my eyes finished reading the last word, the blue box got replaced by a new one.

"As a recap, your goal is to conquer 7 unique Heroines and you have encountered the first one! You will get few useful tools to aid you in your conquest, such as observe, title, skill, and how can you forget the most important tool in any dating system – the Conquest bar!"

"Observe – allows the user to read the Heroines biography in detail! And will update itself whenever the user has passed a critical point!

"Title – titles can be earned by completing specific actions or words as you interact with Heroines during their individual event. Titles will give beneficial effect to the user but may only equip one at a time.

"Skill – grants the user powers that can give a small boost in their everyday life, be it getting a charm aura to make your conquest easier or infinite stamina! Skills can be earned whenever user has successfully conquered a Heroine."

"Conquest bar – the progress recorder in all of those dating games! User will usually start at 0, which is neutral, but be warned that the bar can go into the negatives! At -100, the Heroine will permanently despise the user and will do anything to kill the user! But at 100, the Heroine will become the user's most devoted ally that will never betray the user!"

"Simply think or say them and they will appear! User can interact with the interface and the best part is that no one else can see it!"

"As a recent addition, there is now Love Coins! This coin will be hidden throughout the world, but will prioritize being hidden near the user's home. Another way of earning coins is by conquering a Heroine, which will give 1000!"

"This concludes the tutorial. I wish the user a fun experience and hope that the user will recommend other people!"

"P.S – due to user repeated rejection, the option has been disabled since the goal of the system is to bring love to people and will never stop."

The boxes quickly disappear then the blackness disappears. I blink then look around to see that I am back in the teacher's workplace with everybody still frozen in place and one of the supposed Heroine that I am supposed to conquer and is supposedly way older than me and supposedly I got 6 more.

So… There is really one option for me in this situation, the only option that my almost perfect mind can come up with, I say almost since perfect is a shallow disillusion that society came up with to make other people work harder until they die. An option that I am sure the past me would be proud of if he could see me and the future me would hate me for it.

I walk over to the window, open it to see a beautiful view of the sky with the frozen birds, the sun shining down on me even though time is frozen, and houses that are far beneath me.

Then jump out.

Wow, really had fun writing this, even though I had no intention of making a full chapter for this. Also, roughly 2 weeks until Comic Fiesta! Really hype for it since I was supposed to go there back in 2020 but, you know what happened. Though, I might run into my former classmates and underclassmen from a certain international school here (people who acted like they are my friend but talked behind my back, and now ignore me whenever I msg them).
