The bad news is that I didn't find any hole I could fit into nor can I dig underground and live my life as a worm, free from the constant struggles as a human being.

Ok, too dramatic for my taste… Komachi would bonk me for that and I would thank her for that.

Anyway, after runnin, retreating, yeah, retreating to fight another day… In this case, maybe in a few more hours actually... My brain demanded that I take a rest and not embarrass ourselves again.

And I have no plan on going to the assembly since I don't feel like meeting them right away.

So, here I am, relaxing in the nurse's office after telling the nurse that I have a migraine, which is somewhat true since a throbbing pain keeps hammering my brain, but it isn't at migraine level yet. Or at least the level of yesterday's head pain.

"Alright, eat this pill for your migraine." The nurse, a lady that looks like your average nurse in an anime but with a smaller body, hands me a pill and a plastic cup filled with water. Surprisingly, she is one of the few adults to not flinch at my eyes.

And even more she isn't looking at me with disgust!

I nod at her, eat the pill, then drink the water. She nods at me with a smile, "I have excused you from the assembly, so you can rest here for a while. Oh and you should ask your friends to fill you in later."

I lightly nod at her, feeling somewhat guilty for coming here instead of dealing with the pain like usual while ignoring that last comment…

Why do people keep on thinking everybody got friends?! We loners exist too! Stop the discrimination!

Urgh… Got too excited right there… Ow… At least I distracted myself enough.

She nods again then leaves while closing the curtains behind her. I wiggle a bit on the bed since it's uncomfortable for me and I grumble a bit as the uncomfortableness persists.

…Huh, now that I think about it… When was the last time I truly got sick…?

Oh right. When I was working 4 part-time jobs to buy all of the necessities.

Luckily, I didn't really get sick, to the point of fainting, that is, in the past unless I overworked myself but even then, I just ignored it, ate a few pills if I had to, and kept on working.

Due to the fact that our parents are only paying for the bills and nothing else, I had to take on 4 part-time jobs for roughly 2 years before middle school since they took almost everything they bought when they left, leaving behind the sheer minimum to show that somebody actually lives here.

It was mainly jobs that no one wanted and I would never ever entertain the thought of doing it, but I didn't have any other choice because no one wanted to hire me. Even then, the reluctance on their face when they hired me…

Conclusion? The pay was shit, the people were shit, and I felt like I was going to die each day. But whenever I was close to giving up, I thought of Komachi and I just kept my head down, worked, never bothered anybody and got my pay.

…Well… At least now I am only working 2 part-time jobs, a deliveryman and anything that pays well, since I'm not in a rush to get more money with my savings more than enough to keep us fed and satisfy our small wants.

As long as I can make her happy then I don't mind breaking myself.

…Hold on, how come all of my memories are coming out…? Ever since the system activated again… My past memories keep on coming out from the prison…

Shit… But why would the system do this? Oh… Backstory, huh…? Fuck me -

A loud slam echoes out in the room, prompting me to flinch then I hear a voice, "Nurse… I got a headache~!" A whiny girlish voice to be exact causing me to click my tongue as my headache worsens a bit.

I hear the nurse sigh, "…You're not here to escape assembly, right, student?"

"Of course not!" Lies. I can hear that practiced act of yours! You can't fool me!

"…Alright, eat this with water then rest for a while. I'll tell them that you're excused from the assembly."

"Got it!"

…I pity you for having to deal with students like this.

I hear footsteps coming closer to me and I hear the nurse surprised voice, "Hold on, there is some –"

The curtains open, revealing a girl with shoulder-length flaxen hair staring at me.

With her title shining above her.

"Iroha Isshiki – Good Sly Fox."

…Fuck me. A Main Heroine.

"-body in there." The nurse, standing right behind her, sighs then points behind me, "Go rest in the next one."

The girl looks back then sticks out her tongue a bit, "Roger!" She glances at me with a look of intrigue then slowly walks away without closing the curtains but I quickly snap out of it and check her history.

"Iroha Isshiki grew up in a ***** household. Her *****. She grew up to be ***** but secretly *****. She has developed a sense of ***** to the point of *****. Now as a student at Sobu High *****. She loves *****, ***** and her hobbies include *****, *****, *****. She dislikes *****, *****, *****, *****."

…Sensei, Yukinoshita, Yuigahama, Kawasaki, Miura… And now Isshiki. The sixth out of 7 Main Heroines I have met which leaves me only 1 more to go.

…Oh come on, at least close the curtains. I let out a loud sigh then get up from the bed, though a brief nausea interrupts me due to me getting up suddenly. I just shake my head to clear it then put my hand on the curtains.

…Even when I'm unwell, the game goes on, huh.

I let out a sigh then slowly let go of the still curtain and see the nurse frozen, just as she was about to sit down.

"A – Ignore and go to sleep."

"B – Talk to her."

And it's a Branching Point. How wonderful.
