Peter learns that Aunt May made a picnic lunch on the first date with Uncle Ben and advised that to win a man's heart is through his stomach. Since Mark was willing to keep his secret, Peter wanted to make a romantic meal for him. Do not own Spectacular Spider-man.

At the Parker House…

Peter has never been more grateful to have such a supportive and loving aunt.

Aunt May was more than open to Peter's openness to himself and was there to support him, give advice and be there when he needed her. It was during breakfast that Peter asked about what he could get or do for Mark since they had been dating for a while. May giggled a bit and then began to tell a story about how she gave something special to Ben when they were dating.

"Back in that time, before Ben went off to fight in the war, a lot of young men wanted a good, cooked meal, and being a man of Hebrew Faith, I looked into Kosher recipes and decided to make him a romantic picnic lunch. I cooked Kneidlach, brisket, latkes, and Mandelbrot. Ben never looked happier and called me his Angel from the heavens. So, the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach." His aunt suggested, remembering the happier times he had with Ben.

"Through his stomach, huh? Thanks, Aunt May." Peter thanked his aunt.

"Try not to make too much of a mess and let me know if you need any help." Aunt May smiled, hoping the boy would do better than those other times he cooked.

In the Kitchen…

After beating up Bad Guys and selling the pictures, Peter got to work on making a lunchbox for Mark tomorrow.

Thanks to Liz, he can start making the meal Mark will like. Peter pulled up his sleeves, washed his hands, and got the ingredients, thankful that one of the things Mark liked didn't have any pork and all of it could be kosher.

Peter got to work right away.

The next day after school…

Mark was walking with Petey, Liz, and their friends while his boyfriend looked excited.

"Hey, I wanted to give you something, kind of my way of showing how much I cared for you." Peter blushed as he presented a lunchbox to him.

"Awe~ he made lunch for you~. That's cute." Liz admired as the girls made the same sound, Gwen showed a little jealousy.

"Isn't it a little old school to make lunch for someone?" Flash questioned with a little bit of a scoff in his voice.

"It's kind of sweet. Didn't know you could cook." Rand commented as Mark was blushing a little at the gesture.

Guessed it worked.

"Well, I'm nowhere as good as my aunt, but I do my best." Peter smiled as Mark stored his lunch in his backpack, "Thanks again for helping me out, too, Liz."

"I just let you know what my brother likes." Liz grinned at her teacher.

"I also made some apple pie. Thought you would like it."

"I'm sure I will," Mark answered and then kissed Peter.

At the cafeteria…

Mark pulled out his lunch as he knew Peter would be a little bit late for lunch, (Due to a breakout of the Rhino) and everyone wanted to see what Peter made.

Pulled from the lunchbox was a chicken sandwich, some cream cheese with dip, chocolate-dipped fruit, homemade potato chips, salad, juice, and a slice of apple pie. It all looked delicious, and Mark was so happy. Not only was he with the nicest, smartest boy he has ever met, who happened to be Spider-man, but he was a good cook too. He had to stop Kong and Flash from trying to steal a piece.

"Woah looks like Petey finally learned how to cook." Harry pointed out with a chuckle.

"Huh?"

"Oh, Peter was a terrible cook. Everything he touched was burned, raw, or poisoned. In other words, inedible. Petey tries his best, but cooking is not his strongest talent, but it looks like he finally nailed it." Harry informed him as Gwen gave her boyfriend 'the look'.

Woof.

It was even scarier than Peter described it.

Just as Mark was about to eat, Rhino came charging into the cafeteria with Spider-man hanging on his horn.

"Buzz off, bug!" Rhino demanded as he was thrashing about, while the students were running away.

"Technically, I'm an arachnid. But it's okay, people get it wrong all the time!" Spider-man corrected as the fight ensued.

The group of friends was forced to flee but Mark was able to at least grab the apple pie as everyone evacuated. Ironically as they did the Rhino slammed into the meal Peter prepared for Mark, the food going down his throats.

The results… yikes.

Rhino at first seemed fine, then as he was about to attack Spider-man again…! His stomach began to gurgle, he started belching and turning green!

"Oof. Urk! W-what was in that box? What did you make me eat? Dead rat meat?"

Box?

Oh.

Mark's Lunch.

Crud.

Rhino began to puke and then fell onto the floor. Peter didn't know if he should feel victorious or failure. Well, he better call an ambulance.

Aftermath of the Fight…

Even after Rhino got taken to the ambulance, Spider-man explained the food poisoning, and the cops laughed at the odds of that happening, Mark had a pretty good lunch.

Sure, he lost almost all of the food that Peter made (Which was good because it looked tasty, but he could have ended up like the Rhino), but he was able to save the pie. The pie- it was the best thing he ever ate.

Peter soon appeared with a self-disappointed look on his face.

"Hey Mark, I heard that your lunch wasn't… good. I'm sorry." Peter apologized.

"Hey, I had the best lunch, yet. Did you make the pie?" Mark marveled as he had never tasted an apple pie like the one, he had.

"Oh, yeah. I used my Aunt May's recipe. I used to make pies with my aunt when I was little." Peter answered.

"Well, it's the best pie I ever tasted."

Peter smiled at the small victory he had.

Sure, he can't cook but he can bake pies. Mark kissed him as Peter mentally thanked his aunt for her wise words. She was right, 'the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach.'

The Food Angel of Death could at least make a good pie.
