"Whew that was close are you trying to kill me before the finals tomorrow!!?" Naruto asked the glowing red form of his little sister as two of his golden red chains were wrapped around a densely red clawed chakra arm inches from his face emerging from Mito's three tailed chakra cloak.
"Oh Kami I'm so sorry niiSan one moment I was in control channeling the fox's chakra then a flash of red hatred came over me." Mito said dejected as her ninetails cloak faded away looking dejected her long red hair covering her eye. "I've only mastered one more tail of the fox's chakra since I've been training with mom and Bee sensei I'll never be able to live up to Kasaan."
Naruto retracted his Uzumaki chains back into his body. For the past week ever since the meeting with his father and Pakura sensei he had been helping his little sister stay in control as Bee focused on his mother trying to help her actually befriend the nine tail fox instead of stealing it's chakra creating a much more powerful form for Kushina than the one she used to help the leaf win the 4th shinobi war.
The trading ground the were in was in a secluded and warded forest with seals so complex only naruto jiraiya his father and mother could ever hope to disassemble them the seals were used to trap the radiating malicious nine tailed energy from seeping into the village causing a panic.
Naruto walked up to his little sister giving her a bone crushing hug still holding her tight to his chest as she tried to wiggle away from his grasp. Causing them to both laugh as she finally returned his hug back letting his sister go naruto turned to look at his meditating mother.
"Stop it Mito you're eight years old! mom's more than three times your age and obviously has three times the amount of experience than you do! stop being so hard on yourself and just enjoy the process of getting stronger everyday. Besides a fair comparison would be with the shinobi around your age or slightly older and you blow them out of the park by far sis!" Naruto said reassuring his little sister as the walked a little closer to their mother and the rapping Killer bee who noticed their approach quickly jumping up approaching the purple and black jacket wearing teen and his tamato headed little sister.
"Check it out yo I got a new rhyme to beat the time sooner or later ya dime will finish her training the power will be sublime!" Bee said with a strong finish before scratching his blonde braids noting something down in his ever present rhyme book. "Or should I say divine?"
Mito giggled and clapped as Bee continued to rap and perform his many poses while Naruto stood with a deadpan look and a sweat drop 'Did he just call my mom a dime'
His mothers body began to glow a bright pure red and fiery orange as she pulsed from normal to that glowing form of incredible power.
"Whoa!" Naruto said aloud astonished and slightly scared by the power of his mom in this moment the amount of chakra he felt was many upon many times his own and he at thirteen had the reserves of a kage level shinobi already.
"Whoa is correct brooo but enough about that do you think infact you will beat my students ass?!" Killer bee turned his attention towards Naruto who once again sweat dropped at the terrible rapping.
Naruto had done some research already on the remaining ninjas in the chunin exams final most of the No named shinobi from the participating villages were disqualified for not getting a scroll or died in the forest of death only Darui, Samui, and Yugito making it from than land of lightening who were trained by Bee himself. From the land of stone were Kurotsuchi the daughter of the iwakage ,deidra, and jibachi of the Kamizuru clan.
From that land of water Mei Terumī, Raiga Kurosuki, and Utakata. From the hidden sand village Maki her sensei was none other than his own for the last month in Pakura. The remaining participants were Naruto himself Yakumo and kamacha Uchiha who's squad like maki's was too injured to participate in the finals.
Naruto pondered the rapping man's question he had gotten to see some of the other participants abilities via his clones memories returning to him during the second part of the chunin exams. Bee's squad was talented but not a group that Naruto feared putting his atop his head matting down his spiked hair closing his eyes in a relaxed fashion as he smirked. "Your students are talented Bee-San but I'm afraid they won't be the one's victorious in the finale."
Bee began to rhyme a retort back to Naruto but was interrupted by Kushina's once pulsating glow returning twice as a bright and constant no longer flickering.Kushina's eyes flashed open now orange and red in color no longer violet she stood up looking down at her arms and body in this new glowing form.
"Kurama this is amazing!" Kushina exclaimed to the confusion of everyone else on the training ground Mito eyes were shining with stars looking at her mother not feeling the twinge of annoyance the fox sealed on her felt at the mention of its name.
Kushina began jumping up and down before she disappeared suddenly appearing in front of Naruto and Mito like she had always been standing their causing both Naruto and his sister to fall on their butts with a yelp. Making Kushina bust out in laughter with Kurama in her mindscape laughing as well. Flashing out of the chakra cloak the immense pressure left the clearing as she stuck out a hand to both Naruto and Mito both accepting her help up her oldest however grumbled crossing his arms while Mito began gushing over her mother asking a million questions a second.
Killer bee walked up beside the family coughing in his hand to get their attention he was holding an official looking scroll that he held with two hands "As per the treaty signed by kumo we have lent the teachings of our perfect jinchuriki to your own jinchuriki,let it be known that the land of lightning did their part in allowing peace to be maintained in the shinobi world signed A Raikage." Killer bee finished reading the document as the family face planted at how normal the rapper spoke.
"I didn't know he could do that!?" Kushina, Naruto and Mito all said at the same time.
"Alright nine's eights gotta go till the next time!" Killer bee rapped again his normal speaking pattern gone again as he fist bumped both Mito and Kushina before disappearing from the training grounds.
Shortly after Naruto left the clearing as Kushina wanted to continue helping Mito train for a little while longer. Quickly hopping from the forest trees Naruto's red and blonde hair flowing in the wind he arrived in front of his second favorite restaurant in the whole hidden leaf village Yakiniku had the best ribs a shinobi's money could buy Rin sensei and Kurenai's money that is. A present from them both for surviving the chunin exams. Naruto walked through the glass doors of the restaurant as a beautiful waitress a few years older than himself walked in front of him "Would you by chance be Naruto with the Nohara party?" She asked with a practiced smiled. Naruto nodded his head as she took him through the decently crowded establishment.
"Here we are and here's a menu hope you enjoy!" The beautiful waitress winked at him as she walked away. Naruto then who looked at the table seeing Yakumo and kurenai completely forgetting about the waitress they were looking as gorgeous as ever. The Genin sat down next to Yakumo who gripped his hand from underneath the table for just a moment as she smiled at him making him blush slightly.
"Nice of you to show up you've been mia for damn near the whole month thought you forgot about us!" Kurenai said with a scowl that turned to a smile "glad you both kept your promise of staying alive it would of been a pain in the ass searching for a way to revive you again just to kill you for dying on me!" The red eyed Beauty chuckled into her hand like she had told a normal joke.
As Naruto sweatdropped 'for some reason I believe she would actually do that!'
The waitresse returned taking their orders while bringing a delicious assortment of appetizers like crab legs and popcorn shrimp the team ate in silence relishing the taste until Rin spoke.
"I hear you found yourself a new sensei.." Rin spoke twirling a spoon in her soup with the false smile of death she so loved to use on anyone who annoyed her. "I had a whole water release training plan ready for you just for you to flake like my last date!!"
Naruto waved his hands in front of him as Rin's misplaced anger from her date got passed on to him. "Hey Rin sensei it wasn't like that at all.."
"Save it Namikaze I read the reports you men are all the same always going after the new bimbo that crosses your sights I hope her techniques were worth it!!" Rin said in a whispered yell making Naruto rubbed his cheeks in exasperation until finally after minutes both Rin and Kurenai busted out laughing at their earlier antics acting somewhat like jilted lovers of the Genin.
The ninja team continued eating and drinking as the main course was brought in front of them ribs glazed in different sauces and cooking techniques were laid out on the table. "To a team thirteen victory tomorrow!" Rin raised a shot of saki as her team all raised one shot up with her touching glasses as they thre back the hot alcohol.
The night ended with a team of ninjas walking out with full stomachs kurenai hugged Naruto and Yakumo goodbye as she shunshined away with Rin doing likewise leaving the two final's participants alone in the konoha streets.
"Would you mind walking me home Naruto?" Yakumo asked looking at her teammate.
"Yeah I got you ku!" The two walked for about five minutes through the moonlit streets of konoha occasionally passing by a waking group of patrolling chunin some paying them no mind while others talked aloud about the demon couple. Hearing this made Yakumo grab Naruto's hand surprising him as they continued the other half of their journey hand in hand hearing similar comments until they reached Yakumo's clan residence. When she turned to face Naruto.
"I want to prove them right let's prove theses
assholes right make their worst fears come true!" Yakumo's brown eyes looked down into Naruto's violet eyes intensely as if searching for answers not yet said.
"What do you mean Yaku—" Naruto was interrupted as two hands grasped the sides of his face pulling him towards Yakumo as she kissed him before releasing him.
"That's what I mean Naruto! I've liked you for as long as I could remember ever since you saved me all those years ago so what do you say let's be the demon couple huh?" Yakumo asked her voice cracking at the end from nervousness awaiting Naruto's answer.
He smirked looking up into her eyes "yeah demon couple has a nice ring to it the villagers are gonna hate this!" Yakumo shouted in excitement pulling Naruto into a hug before kissing him again.
She pulled away once more from his lips with a raised eyebrow catching Naruto's attention.
"What?" The red and blonde haired teen asked in confusion.
"You've gotten taller Ru!" Yakumo said holding a hand above his head the top now reaching her nose when last year his head was scraping her chin she was 5'7 now about to turn 16 in a month she had to guess he went from 4'9 to 5'2 over the past year at age 13 he wasn't a bad height anymore.
"See I told you Id get taller just you wait till I'm fifteen that's when my mom said my dad had his full growth spurt!!" Naruto said excitedly waving goodbye to his now girlfriend Yakumo running off to his home in a hurry no doubt to measure himself.
It was a beautiful autumn afternoon perfect weather for a chunin exams the sun shone down upon a large open stadium in the upper rows of the stadium a viewers box for the kage watched the undertakings below as civilians of all walks of life and shinobi entered the stadium and began sitting down like wise academy students followed by their chunin instructors sat the rowdy children down all eager to see jutsu they'd never seen before thrown around.
Minato looked down at the roster for todays free for all each of the remaining villages had about three shinobi left in competition. Unlike his village it appeared that Kiri and kumo and the sand may have cheated allowing former chunin and jonin that were young to be "demoted" to ensure their villages looked strong to all the clients witnessing todays fight.
The hidden leaf and surprisingly the hidden stone were the only villages with shinobi in the finals that were actually true Genin.
'Well they'll be in for quite the shock when they see how strong my Genin can be. Good luck to you my son!' Minato thought to himself as the other kage began walking into the viewers box with their guards. A and killer bee nodded their heads with a grunt in his direction as they sat beside him. The kazekage Rasa appeared next followed closely by his attendant nodding his head also at Minato before sitting down. Finally the third Tsuchikage floated inside the kage box with the almost equally as short Mizukage, Ōnoki glared with the intensity of lightening at Minato before he rounded his glare at all the other kage.
"I must exclude the konoha dogs from this accusation although it pains me to give them any kind of praise!" Ōnoki spat on the ground at the thought before continuing "the Genin shinobi of the hidden stone will prove to be stronger than your demoted jonin and chunin don't think you could pull a fast one on me it's a known fact your villages have been struggling compared to the stone and leaf since the fourth war!"
A stomped his feet in annoyance "Don't ya dare group kumo in with the weaklings in Kiri and Suna our shinobi far exceed anything those two could hope to accomplish and with our technology you would be wise to heed our position."
"They say the weakest dogs always bark the loudest!" Rasa said Cooly in response to the Tsuchikage while Yagura remained silent not bothering to defend his countries current position in the scales of strength.
"And a dying dog doesn't bark but whimpers.." Ōnoki replied back cooly as tension began feeling the kage box until Minato finally spoke.
"Enough although im sure the fans would love to see a kage battle im equally sure we would rather not have another war right now with that being said I'm disappointed in seeing some of you brining jonin and chunin to a chunin exams i know my Genin will prove a great challenge." Minato said somehow calming all the tension down as the announcer finally began speaking.
"WELLLLLCOME TO THIS YEARS CHUNIN EXAMS EVERYONE GET TO YOUR SEATS IM FIVE MINUTES WE WILL ANNOUNCE THE PARTICIPANTS AND START OF THE FINALE BRAWL LAST SHINOBI OR KUNOCHI STANDING WINS!" The crowd roared in excitement eagerly awaiting their favourite ninja from the roster to appear on the dirt arena floor below to fight for their village.
