Season 1

Hotch and Haley start having problems when Hotch goes to Mexico for his birthday, and by the time the unsub from the season finale comes around, Haley has had enough and asks for a legal separation.

Elle died as a result of her losing a lot of blood at the end of the season finale, and the team never found someone until episode 9 of Season 2.

JJ and Reid tried to date after the Red Skins game but agreed they were better as friends.

Hotch and Strauss are informed that Emily Prentiss is out of the CIA and has rejoined the FBI. They want her in the BAU, and the CIA asks JJ to go to the State Department, but both block it.

Hotch makes it known his number two is Derek Morgan.

Season 2

Emily Prentiss joins the team in episode 9, and the first case is in St. Louis, where Jason asks about her time there.

Emily's mother brings the case before the episode Sex, Birth, Death and in the episode Sex, Birth, Death, her mother is killed.

In the episode about Derek, Hotch loses his temper, blames Gideon for Derek's problems and warns him about looking into Emily's past.

Emily is asked to spy on Hotch, which leads her to get rid of Jason Gideon from the BAU to protect Hotch.

By the end of this season, when Haley finds out that Hotch could get an average 9-5 job in the FBI, he turns it down, and she files for divorce.

We met Savannah, Will, and Kevin.

Hotch and Emily slept together.

Season 3

Hotch and Emily enter into a friends-with-benefit, but Haley believes they are dating while the team knows nothing.

Emily is asked to deal with the killer in New York before Hotch gets the call because of her past with the JTF-12 and is angry when Kate takes over.

It is revealed that Kate is Emily's half-sister from her father, and her father is CIA.

Emily calls out Hotch about Derek, and they get into a fight, which results in Hotch sleeping with Kate.

Emily and Kate are in the bombing car, but both are okay, and it's their father who gets hurt.

Season 4

After Minimal Loss, Hotch and Emily start to date.

Fifty-two pick-up, Emily tells Hotch about her past with Ian.

Reid started to go to therapy and meetings for drug use after losing both of his parents when it turned out what happened in Las Vegas. The man had a brother who went after Reid, but his parents took the bullet both of them.

Hotch's brother returns to tell him about a girl he is seeing and asks about their parents, who are dead.

Hotch does more to help during the 17th episode as the team is unhappy about Emily keeping secrets.

Hotch worries about Foyet coming after him.

Season 5

Hotch lashes out at Emily and asks why Foyet didn't go after her, which causes them to go on a break.

During the 100, Foyet kidnaps Haley and Jack. Emily is the one who kills Foyet as he shoots Haley. Haley dies in the hospital but gives her speech to Aaron. Haley's family and the team blame Emily for not telling them.

Emily leaves on the assignment JJ would have taken in Season 6 and asks JJ to take the course on being a profiler.

Hotch tells the team about Emily being an asset to the USA as a spy for JTF-12. The team is mad as they feel they don't know her.

Hotch tells JJ that Emily took her place and she should be grateful.

Alex Blake joins the team in episode 10.

Season 6

Emily returns when Ian comes back. But still, fake her death.

Ashley still joins the team and has a crush on Spencer.

The team meets Savannah, who introduces her friend Beth to Hotch. The team knows that Emily and Hotch were together but were on a break when she died.

Season 7

Emily returns, and the team is angry at her but allows her to return to her spot.

Hotch is dating Beth, but he sleeps with Emily, and Emily gets pregnant.

Emily doesn't take the job in London. Instead, she takes a leave from the FBI and works as a part-time agent.

Emily adopted Declan, and he lives with her. Emily and Hotch have a daughter at the end of the season during JJ's wedding.

Season 8

Hotch reveals that Jack lives with Emily when they are on a case.

Derek and Savannah move in together.

Hotch and Beth break up when Sean gets married.

Season 9

Emily's past with Mateo Cruz is revealed, and Hotch is jealous.

Emily and Mateo are kidnapped in 200. And it is Easter who helps find them.

Emily and Hotch get back together as Emily returns to the team.

Reid has a one-night stand.

Season 10

Reid kills Scratch.

Emily adopts Jack as Aaron adopts Declan.

Alex Blake left because her husband was ill and passed away.

Season 11

Everything is the same, but with Emily as a member. The change happens in Entropy.
