Hi everyone, here with yet another new fic. This one will focus on Naruto and his family's life in Smallville as they try and get away from all the drama and chaos in Central City.
I know that it seems that I am starting up more fic than I can handle but when I have an idea, I need to get it out.
This fic is set after the events of Crisis on Infinite Earths, I will try my best to keep inconsistencies to a minimum, but I just couldn't wait till I got my Flash fic up to these events.

Jutsu and Abilities
(Location) = Scene Break
Naruto and Sakura were in their living room watching T.V. with their kids. Naruto and Sakura were on the couch with Sakura laying on Naruto when suddenly Naruto's phone rang. Naruto picked up the phone and saw that it was Clark calling. Naruto answered the phone and put it up to his ear.
"Hey Clark, What's up?" Naruto asked
"Martha just passed away. I wanted to invite you to the funeral. It should be in about a week." Clark answered sounding like he had been crying
"I am sorry to hear that. We will be there. Hang in their bud." Naruto replied
"See you there." Clark said before hanging up
Naruto put down his phone before looking to his wife who was looking to him for an explanation.
"Martha passed away just now, and Clark just invited us to the funeral." Naruto said answering Sakura's unasked question
Naruto then turns to Scampi and Rose "You guys remember the Kents right? Uncle Clark, Aunt Lois, and Cousins Jordan and Jonathan." getting nods in response, "Well you guys will get to see them again."
"I can't wait to see Uncle Clark, Aunt Lois, Cousin Jordan, and Jonathan again!" Scampi exclaims to which his sister Rose nods agreeing with her brother
Naruto looks to Sakura "You remember how we have been wanting to move to get away from all the Meta drama right?" getting a nod from Sakura
"Well, this presents the perfect opportunity, Smallville is a small town, perfect for starting over with a quiet and simple life. We could buy some land near the Kent farm; I'll have to talk Clark and Lois into moving to the Kent farm so they can have more time with the boys as Clark isn't around that much as it is right now." Naruto explains to his wife
Sakura nods "I agree with you full-heartedly, Clark is away from the boys too often and needs some grounding. We will need to let everyone at S.T.A.R Labs know that we are moving."
Naruto smiles, "We can go and let them know tomorrow."
(The next day – S.T.A.R Labs)
The next day Naruto and Sakura drop by to let everyone know that they are planning on moving to Smallville. Naruto puts Barry in charge of managing S.T.A.R Labs saying that he will drop by now and then to make sure everything is alright.
(Naruto's Home – Night before the funeral)
Everyone had packed their stuff in their suitcases, they only packed enough for a couple of days until they could iron out where they would be staying permanently. Everyone gathered their suitcases before Naruto sealed them into his arm.
"Alright, you guys ready?" Naruto asks his family to which everyone nods
"Alright next stop Smallville, Kansas." Naruto says before they all speed off towards Smallville
(A couple of minutes later - Smallville, Kansas – Kent Farm)
Naruto and his family arrive at the beginning of the road leading up to the Kent farm. Naruto unseals the suitcases and distributes them before they began making their way down the road.
"WHERE'S THE WELCOMING COMMITTEE?" Naruto shouts as he and his family make their way to the end of the road
A couple of seconds later Clark, Lois, Jordan, and Jonathan walkout, by this time Naruto and his family have made it to the end of the road
"Uncle Naruto, Aunt Sakura, Cousin Scampi, and Rose." Jonathan calls out as the Kent family walk out to meet them
Naruto and his family meet the Kents halfway, upon reaching the Kent family Naruto and his family set down their suitcases. Naruto is the first one to hug Clark.
"I am sorry for your loss, I know what it feels like to lose a parental figure." Naruto said to the Kent family with sympathy it sucked to lose a parent after he let go of Clark
Sakura hugged Clark next "While I don't know how it feels to lose a parental figure, I am sorry for your lose."
Scampi and Rose hugged Clark next before they moved on to Jordan and Jonathan giving them their condolences
"You wouldn't happen to have a spare room, would you?" Naruto asked as he turned to Clark "If not we can just grab a room at a nearby hotel or motel." he added
Clark nods "There will be none of that you can use one of the spare rooms upstairs. Boys help them with their luggage." as the boys grab their luggage and head to the house
Jonathan and Jordan take the suitcases up to the spare room with Naruto and his family following shortly behind them so they can get settled in. Once they are settled in Naruto tells Rose and Scampi to go and spend time with their Cousins, after this Naruto and Sakura head down to the kitchen, where Clark and Lois are making the finishing touches.
"Need any help?" Naruto asks
"Nah we are just making finishing touches for the funeral." Clark and Lois say before looking up "How long exactly do you plan on staying after the funeral? We don't exactly know what we are going to do with the farm."
Naruto chuckles "We have actually been thinking of moving to Smallville, get some property near the farm so we can keep an eye on it, as well as get away from all the Meta drama that we deal with in Central City, you know live a simpler life."
Clark shrugs "Well I can't exactly help you with that one. But you are free to look around the area after the funeral and reception are over."
"Have you told the boys your secret yet?" Naruto asked getting frowns and glares from Clark and Lois
"Jordan is already dealing with enough as it is. How do you think he will react if he were to find out that he was only half-human? Or having to constantly worry about keeping it a secret?" Clark said immediately shooting down the idea
Naruto shrugs "The longer you keep it from them the more damage it will potentially do to your relationship with the boys. But that's all I'm going to say."
(The next day after the funeral – Kent Farm)
Naruto and Sakura had left the kids with their cousins while they went inside to see how Clark was doing. They walked in to see Lois with her arms wrapped around Clark's stomach, comforting him from behind.
"We aren't interrupting anything are we?" Naruto asked getting the attention of Clark and Lois causing them to separate
Clark shook his head "No, still just trying to wrap my head around the fact that she is really gone."
Naruto nodded before they gave Clark another hug "I can't express enough how sorry I am for your lose."
"Thanks. It means a lot." Clark said still a bit numb to the pain as they let go
(Outside)
Jordan was sitting at a table a little ways away from everyone else when Jonathan, Scampi, and Rose came up with plates of food. Jonathan sets Jordan's plate down next to him who is on his phone getting his attention as Scampi and Rose sat down and began eating.
Jordan looks at the plate "What's that?" before looking at Jonathan
Jonathan looks back at him "It's 1:00 you need your food for your pills, don't you?"
"Who are you mom?" Jordan responds sarcastically
"Just eat the damn food and take your meds someone has to watch out for you when mom and dad have their hands full." Jonathan shot back
"He is just looking out for your best interest Jordan just eat the food and take your meds nothing to sweat over." Scampi added
"Just eat the food and take your meds." Jordan says in a sarcastic tone before going back to his phone
Soon Naruto, Sakura, Clark, and Lois rejoin everyone outside with people coming up to them starting small talk with Clark. As they are talking Clark picks up on Lana's voice causing him to turn his head.
Jonathan notices the arrival of the Cushing family and hits Jordan in the arm also getting Scampi's attention "You remember that one girl from the summer we stayed here?"
Jordan looks at him as if he has grown a second head "You mean Sarah Cushing? Yeah, what about her."
Jonathan nods "Well she is here."
This really gets Jordan's attention "Really? Where is she?"
Scampi chuckles "Your girlfriend is about 50 yards away and approaching."
Jordan hits Scampi in the arm which he draws back dramatically acting as if it hurt before Jordan turns around to see the Cushing family
Jonathan pats him on the shoulder "If you hurry, you might have time to go inside and transform into a completely different person." before getting up followed shortly by Scampi, Rose, and Jordan as they walk over to join their family not going unnoticed by Lois
The Cushing family walks up to Clark, Lois, Naruto, and Sakura before Lana gives Clark a hug. "Clark, I am so sorry for your loss. She was always so kind to me and everyone in Smallville."
"It's good to see you Lana." Clark says as he separates from Lana
Lana then moves on to Lois "Lois, it is so good to see you. Granted the circumstances aren't the best." she says as she gives her a hug
"It's always nice to see you Lana." Lois says back before separating
Lana finally notices Naruto and Sakura "And who might you be?"
Naruto smiles "We are family."
Lana gives him a weird look before looking at Clark "I thought you were an only child?"
Clark chuckles "We aren't blood-related, but we might as well be, they are the godparents of Jordan and Jonathan. With us being the same to their kids." getting a nod of understanding from Lana
Naruto extends his hand out to Lana "My name is Naruto, Uzumaki Naruto, and this is my Family" as he gestures to Sakura, Scampi, and Rose
"This is my wife Sakura, and those are our 2 angels, Scampi, and Rose." he said introducing his family
"Wait, Uzumaki Naruto, like the owner of Uzumaki Industries previously known as S.T.A.R. Labs?" Lana asked intrigued
"The one and only." Naruto smiled "If I am not mistaken, Smallville is one of the big users of my patented improved fertilizer."
"Yes, your fertilizer has helped several farmers here in Smallville increase their yearly crop yield. It also increased the rich flavors of foods here in Smallville." Lana commented
"Not to be rude but who names their child after a ramen topping?" Lana asks curiously
"Naruto also means Maelstrom, like a sea or river whirlpool/storm, and Uzumaki means Swirl so Swirl Maelstrom in English." Naruto explained
"Wow, your name makes it sound like you're very dangerous/destructive." Lana commented
"You don't know the half of it." Naruto said rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment
Lois decides to but in "You remember our boys, Jonathan and Jordan."
"Hi/Hey." they say respectively
"These are our girls." Kyle says before pointing to his youngest daughter "The littlest one is Sophie. And well, the one with the scowl stuck on her face over there is Sarah."
"I am really sorry about your grandma. She was really special to all of us. Even my dad liked her and he usually hates everyone, soooo." Sarah said
Kyle chuckles "House full of girls. There is always someone mad at you."
"Mommy, that's him." Sophie said while pointing at Clark
"Well, your daddy and I went to high school with Mr. Kent." Lana explained
"Yea but you dated him. And that's why Daddy got mad when he saw you on his Facebook page." Sophie added
There was an awkward silence for about 3 seconds before Lana decided to break the tension "Okay, sweety, why don't you go and play." as she ushered her daughter towards the food
Lana sighed "How are you holding up Clark?"
"Well, I could really use a drink right about now." Clark said
"See, now you're talking." Kyle agreed "Lead the way." as the adults start walking towards the door to the house
"Be good." Kyle tells Sarah as they walk away
"I didn't think that you boys would've remembered me from that summer." Sarah said
Jordan beat his brother to the punch "Of course we would remember you, I mean you changed your…everything."
Jonathan, Scampi, and Rose facepalmed at this "What my cousin is trying to say is whatever your doing is definitely working for you." Scampi said saving his cousin from embarrassment
"Well, we still do get puberty here in Smallville. But cell service here probably sucks compared to Metropolis" Sarah said
"I know, I've been trying to get on all morning. I think there is something wrong with the router." Jordan responds
"It probably just needs to be reset." Jonathan said looking at Jordan
"Jon, it's in the barn you know dad doesn't want us in there." Jordan counters
"What's wrong with the barn?" Sarah asks
"Our dad doesn't want us in the barn, says there's a lot of stuff in there that can kill us." Jordan answers
"Yea but that was when we were like 8." Jonathan counters
"Well as a member of the FFA, I think I can keep you guys safe." Sarah says as she starts heading for the barn
Jonathan turns to Jordan "What's the FFA?"
"Future Farmers of America" Scampi answers before they start following Sarah
(Kent Kitchen with the Adults)
The adults were all seated at the kitchen table, with Clark opening bears for everyone.
"Your daughters are so gorgeous." Lois comments as Sakura nods in agreement
"Aw, thank you." Lana responds before turning to Clark "And you look exactly the same as you did in high school. He doesn't seem to age."
"It's, uh, probably the good genes, I guess." Clark responds getting an eye-roll from Naruto, Sakura, and Lois
Lana turns her attention to Lois "Lois, I read all your stories. I mean it's so impressive, because of you, I can tell my girls they can do anything."
"Thank you. And you're still at the bank, correct?" Lois asks
"Yea and Kyle is still at the firehouse, he made fire chief last year, and everyone else we knew moved away." Lana answers
"What she actually means is 'bailed'" Kyle comments his 2 cents
Clark looks to Kyle "Lueck?"
"Moved to Twin Cities." Kyle fired off
"Sippy" Clark asked
"St. Louis." Kyle shot
Lois looks at Clark "Maybe you'll see them at the next reunion."
"Well Kent didn't make it to the last one, now, did he?" Kyle commented, Naruto looked at him questioning if the Alcohol was already taking effect
"Ah, actually I was supposed to, but we, uh—" Clark started before Kyle cut him off
"You know, it used to be that when folks of the town would move away to get their degrees, well, they would bring what they learned back home and help the community, help raise the community, you know THEIR community." Kyle ranted off causing Clark to develop a guilty look "But that really isn't happening anymore." he added
"But, I mean, hey, at least we'll get a lifeline if this whole Edge proposal goes through, right?" Kyle finished on a 'positive' note
Lois looked at Kyle "And what exactly does Morgan Edge want with Smallville?"
Naruto and Clark knew what was coming "Oh, boy. Here we go again." with Naruto earning a head smack from his wife
"He's retrofitting the coal mines to produce alternative energies." Lana answered
"It's really gonna put a lot of folks back to work around here." Kyle added
"Until it doesn't." Lois commented
"Lois." Clark and Naruto said with Naruto getting another smack from his wife
"What you know how she gets." Naruto said in his defense
"Morgan Edge ruins everything that he touches." Lois says
Kyle developed a skeptical look not believing Lois "And what has he ruined exactly?"
"Well, he is single-handedly destroying the 'Daily Planet' for one." Lois shots
"People quit reading that paper because you reporters can't keep their political opinion to themselves." Kyle counters
"Edge's companies prey on struggling communities. He busts up unions. He barely even pays a living wage. I do not understand how he can keep fooling people." Lois shots back
"Oh, you mean like us dumb backward, small-town folk?" Kyle says starting to get a little irritated with Lois
"No, no that's not what I meant at all." Lois counters again
"No, I know what you meant." Kyle comments while Lana just sat there looking awkward at what her husband is doing "See, people like you will look at Smallville, and think of the past, and you feel a little bad for us, right? But people like Morgan Edge, though, he looks at Smallville, and he sees the future."
"Yeah well, that's not a future I would want to live in." Lois comments
Kyle picks up his beer "Well it's a good thing we don't have to worry about that anymore, now, do we?" before taking a swig
"Is that a threat Kyle?" Naruto says not liking the sound of what he said
"Naruto, calm down, we haven't made any decisions about the farm yet, Kyle." Clark says trying to defuse the situation
Kyle puts his beer down before pointing at Clark "But your mother has." getting a confused look in response before Lana looks at her husband
"What does that mean exactly?" Lois says concerned and confused
"Kyle go get the girls." Lana says before anything more about the subject can be said
Kyle takes one last swig of his beer before putting it down on the table "I'm sorry for your loss, Kent." before getting up and walking out
Everyone's attention is now on Lana who is getting out of her chair and getting ready to go "Lana? What is he talking about?" Clark asked
"Your mother had some business with us is all." Lana answers getting looks from Clark and Lois asking for more of an explanation "Come by the bank tomorrow."
"Martha was a great Lady. The heart of Smallville. I am sorry she is gone." Lana says before walking away
(With the kids)
While the adults were having their chat the kids entered the barn with Sarah leading them.
"Yeah, your dad is totally right. Pretty much everything in here can kill you." Sarah says as they walk through the barn looking for the router
Jonathan points to a piece of machinery "What's that?"
"That is a hay raker." Sara answers "I guess you guys don't see much of this in Metropolis do you."
"No, but our dad told us all these stories about growing up here." Jordan comments
"Did he tell you that it sucks?" Sarah asks
"Well actually, I think he kinda loved it." Jordan answered
"It can't be that bad. I mean, it's more the people that make up a place, right?" Jonathan commented
Sarah turned around "Wow. Metropolis boys are really starting to lose their game."
"Relax. I'm taken. I didn't mean it like that. I'm just saying—" Jonathan says defensively "Well, I guess what I am trying to say is that we are only here for a few days, and I figure that we kinda need someone to show us around."
"Um." Sarah says looking a little hesitant at first "Okay. Uh, phone."
Jonathan starts to fish his phone out when Sarah stops him "Oh, no, not you." causing both boys to look up as Sarah looks at Jordan "You." before Jordan hands her his phone as Jonathan continues to look around the barn for the router
"Thank you. Uh… There is a bonfire tomorrow at the old Shuster Mine. Hit me up if you wanna go, but I can't guarantee I won't get you into a little bit of trouble..." Sarah says giving Jordan a smile which he returns
Jonathan finds the router before interrupting their little moment "Hey guys. Found the router." before pointing at the ceiling "What the hell was Grandma thinking, putting it up there?"
"I got it." Jordan says before walking over to the ladder
"Oh, Jordan, be careful." Sarah says as Jordan climbs up the ladder
(Back in the Kent Kitchen while this is happening)
"'Come by the bank'? I wonder what that was all about. I shouldn't have lost my cool with Kyle." Lois says as she brings 2 shakers in from the other room and sets them down on the table
"Ya think?" Naruto says sarcastically earning yet another smack from Sakura
"Do you think that he is right?" Clark asks leaning against the middle island "Should I have come back to Smallville more often?"
Lois shakes her head "No, Clark, he's not right. Your mother knew where you were and who you were."
Clark stands up "Right before she died, I…I heard her say something as I was flying over here. She wanted me to come home. And I just don't know why yet."
(Back with the kids)
Jordan makes it to the top of the ladder and places a foot on the pile of metal beams neatly stored up on the upper level as he reaches over to hit the reset button on the router.
"Be careful." Jonathan says
Sarah looks at her phone "Still not working."
A second after Jordan fiddled with one of the wires the router goes all green "Got it." as his foot slips causing him to lose his footing and slam into the pile of metal pipes before falling to the ground as everyone backs away while one of the bindings keeping the pile together snaps. Jordan reaches the ground getting the air knocked out of him as he turns over. Scampi brings his hand up to his shoulder before channeling chakra into the seal letting his father know that something was wrong and to come quick. Just then one of the wooden support beams holding the pile of pipes snapped. Jonathan sees the pipes begin to fall as he dives for his brother to shield him from harm.
Moments before the beams fall on the Kent boys Scampi and Rose feel a brief second of energy gather and disperse from one of the boys.
(With the Adults in the kitchen)
Naruto stiffens catching the attention of Clark "Something is wrong" just then everyone hears the clanging of metal pipes coming from the barn. Naruto, Clark, and Lois head for the door.
(Back with the kids)
"Oh my god." Sarah says still stunned at what just happened before she sprints out of the barn followed by Scampi and Rose
"Help! Somebody help!" Sarah calls out as she exits the barn with Naruto, Clark, and Lois exiting the house and walks down the steps "Help! The boys! They're hurt!"
"SAKURA GET THE MEDICAL SUPPLIES!" Naruto calls out as he and Clark sprint towards the barn with Lois not far behind
As soon as Clark and Naruto reach the entrance of the barn Clark uses his X-ray vision to check on the boys before looking at Naruto. Clark dashes over to the pile with Naruto right behind him. Clark lifts one of the metal pipes off the pile to free the boys before handing it to Naruto who sets it down a little ways away from the pile. By this time Lois has made it to them and everyone is looking into the pile at the boys.
"It was his idea." was the only thing that Jonathan said before Clark and Lois looked at one another before looking at Naruto who only shrugs
(Later that night – Kent House)
Everyone was gathered in the living room, including the paramedics that Lois called
"So, what you're saying is that all we have are mild concussions?" Jonathan asks
Clark pats Jonathan on the back "You're both really lucky."
Jordan throws his dad a sideways glance that doesn't go unnoticed by Naruto or Clark
"Just a little rest and they should be fine." The paramedic says
"I can take care of them from here on out." Sakura says getting a nod from the paramedic
Clark gets up from his seat "Thanks Benny."
"Yeah, no problem." Benny said
"It's good to see you." Clark says
"No worries. Thank you." Benny said
"Best to the family." Clark says sincerely as he walks benny out
"I am sorry for your loss." Benny says sincerely before walking out the front door
Lois and Clark look back at the boys "Come on, boys. Let's get you upstairs. You've had a long day." before Jordan and Jonathan get up and head upstairs
Naruto and Sakura look at Scampi and Rose "You too head upstairs as well the adults have to talk." getting nods from them as they head up to the room the Uzumaki family was set up in.
Once they are upstairs and out of earshot Naruto turns around to face Lois and Clark "Outside now." before he ushers them outside
After everyone is outside with Clark and Lois leaning on the porch fencing, Naruto gives them a serious look "You need to tell them, after what happened in the barn today, they are going to get very suspicious as any normal person would have been pancaked by those beams."
"Clark just tell them, the longer you keep it a secret the more damage it will do to your relationship with the boys." Sakura pleads not wanting to see Clark suffer from keeping his secret from the boys
"Clark, what exactly are you afraid of?" Naruto asks "Telling them your secret wouldn't be putting them in danger cause I'm like a second you that can protect them when you're not here. I would never let anything happen to your family." he adds
"What am I afraid of? Jordan already is dealing with his issues. How do you think he would feel if he found out that he was part Kryptonian?" Clark counters
"It doesn't matter because he has his family to support him thru it. You keeping that a secret is only continuing to damage the relationship between you and your sons. We told our kids as soon as they started to show signs so that they would know that they weren't weird or alone in their journey." Naruto said defending his point
"If they even slip up once or say the wrong thing then the whole world will know my identity." Clark says trying hard to defend his position on the matter
"Lois's father knows your identity and the same thing could happen with him but you don't seem too worried about him knowing your identity." Naruto counters
Clark and Lois look at one another silently debating whether or not it was time to come clean to the boys. Lois nods causing Clark to sigh "Fine, I'll come clean to them after we come back from the bank tomorrow." before he looks at Naruto and Sakura "But that means you guys have to come clean to the boys as well."
"I absolutely agree, well even expose the kids so they know that they aren't the only 'weird' ones of the family." Naruto agrees
Just then Clark picks up Sam Lane's car in the distance, he turns to Lois "Your father is coming."
Sam Lane pulls up to the Kent house before getting out and walking up the steps to the porch before taking notice of everyone outside right then before looking at Clark.
Clark gives him a look "Well out with it they can hear."
Sam sighs "We found something let's talk inside."
Sakura kisses Naruto "I'm going to head up and get ready for bed don't be too long." before she walks inside
Sam, Clark, Lois, and Naruto walk inside into the dining room, Sam puts the laptop down and begins to open it before he looks back to see Naruto still standing there.
"This is a matter that has to do with Clark. I don't think you need to be here." Sam says hoping that Naruto will leave on his own
"He can stay. He needs to be in the loop." Clark says getting a glare from Sam
Sam seeing that Clark nor Naruto is going to budge sighs before opening the laptop completely "I had my team analyze security camera footage from both of the nuclear plants where ruptures occurred, and they have one thing in common." he explains as he slowly plays the video pausing on the silhouette of a man "This is the only commonality."
"Whatever is doing it is moving very fast." Clark and Naruto say
"Yea and that's not all. We also discovered a sub-microscopic etching at both of the sites. We thought maybe it was a fingerprint at first. Well, it wasn't." Sam continues before pulling up a zoomed-in picture of the etchings
Naruto and Clark get a closer look at the etchings "It's Kryptonian."
Sam gives Naruto a frown "And how exactly do you know its Kryptonian?"
Naruto smiles "Let's just say that I forced Clark to teach me." causing Sam to look at Clark
"It's a long story." he says
"It says 'You are not a hero, Kal-El.' now doesn't it Clark." Naruto states
Clark nods "Whoever is doing this knows who I am."
"He is studying you." Sam states "Now, I'm sure there is a phone booth somewhere in this Podunk town where you can suit up." he comments
"Now? Absolutely not." Lois buts in causing everyone to turn their attention to her "Look I get it. There is something powerful out there that doesn't like Superman or nuclear power plants, and that's not a good combo. But now is not the time for Clark to just take off. Martha just died." Lois looks Clark dead in the eyes "I mean it, Clark. The world will always need Superman, and when there is a problem, you will be there for them, but right now this family needs you more. The boys need you more."
There is a moment of silence before Clark turns to Sam "She is right you know."
Naruto decides to chime in "You know I can always fill in for Clark if need be. While I am retired per se I can still lend a hand."
Sam looks at him as if he were crazy before turning to Clark "How could a simple civilian fill in for you?"
Clark and Naruto laugh "He is more than just a simple civilian/I am more than just a simple civilian. He could give me a run for my money/I could run circles around Clark."
Sam turns to Naruto "And what do you mean you're more than just a simple civilian?"
Naruto begins to float as his suit activates, forming around his body "Looks can be very deceiving General Lane. You have heard of The Flash, right?" to which Sam nods his head "Well who do you think trained the Flash and his team? Trust me when I say that I can more than fill in for Clark if the need arises."
Sam finally caves not seeing any harm in getting back up from someone who claims to be even stronger than Clark "Alright fine. But how will I contact you like I do Clark?"
Naruto extends his hand out and Sam's ELT flies into it, surprising Sam. Sam then watches as black markings spread across the ELT before settling, glowing red, and disappearing.
Naruto then brings the ELT up to his ear before turning it on and memorizing the sound. Naruto then hands the ELT back to Sam "Alright I know what to listen in for now."
Sam shakes his head before closing the laptop and putting it under his arm and walking over to Lois "Lois I tried to warn you."
Lois rolls her eye having already heard this speech a million times before "Come on, Dad."
"When you wanted to get married, I tried to warn you. While you may have fallen in love with Clark Kent, you married Superman whether you want to like or admit it. And Superman doesn't get to have a normal life no matter how much or how badly you want him to have one, and the same goes for yourself." Sam lectures before turning and walking out
"Alright well, I think it's time that we all head to bed. We've got to go to the bank tomorrow." Naruto says getting nods from Clark and Lois as everyone decides to retire for the night
(The next day – Smallville Bank)
Naruto, Sakura, Lois, and Clark get out of the farm truck that Clark drove them all in and head for the Bank. They walk in and are greeted by Lana who guides them to her desk.
"How are the boys doing after what happened?" Lana asked
"They are perfectly fine, just a little shaken up just like the rest of the family." Lois answers
Lana shakes her head "Well it seems like luck runs in the Kent family." causing Clark, Naruto, and Sakura to chuckle "Did Clark ever tell you about our accident coming home from the Soul Asylum concert?"
"Ohhhh, I try not to really talk about my Soul Asylum days too much Lana." Clark chimes in causing everyone to chuckle
"So, Pete was at the wheel. He fell asleep and drove off the road. And when we came to. The car was pretzeled. Yet nobody was hurt. Not a scratch. It was the strangest thing." Lana explained before she backed away to grab the file she needed causing everyone to look at Clark who only shrugged "Again, lots of strange things happened here back then." she finished before setting the file on her desk and opening it "Okay."
Clark, Naruto, Sakura, and Lois looked at the papers from where they could see them. Clark frowned "Mortgage papers? My mom paid hers off years ago."
"Correction. She paid her first one off years ago. About 5 years ago, at the highest point of the farming crisis, the banks here were offering reverse mortgages to seniors. Pay now for the opportunity to let the bank purchase the remainder of the farm upon their death if the landowner's heirs couldn't repay the balance on the loan." Lana explained to them
Clark let out a confused sigh "My mom, she didn't need that kind of money."
Lana shook her head "No. But…the Gordons were going to be evicted from their farm that had been in their family for generations. Margie Kelton's lung surgery made it almost impossible for her to put food on the table. I have dozens of stories. Everyone in town knew that if you were in trouble, Martha would be there to help. She was like Smallville's very own Superman, or rather Superwoman. The one that you write about Lois."
"Sounds like they had a lot in common with each other." Lois commented
Lana nodded "She still protected half the farm's value. She wanted there to be enough money to send the boys to college. So, either you can repay the loan, or accept a healthy buyout for the remaining value of the property."
Lois and Clark look at one another before Clark looks back at Lana "We will have to think about it and discuss it." to which Lana nodded before she put the file away as Clark, Lois, Naruto, and Sakura got up and headed back to the truck
Clark and Naruto lean against the truck while the ladies decided to stand. Clark looked to Lois "What do you think we should do?"
"Well, I am pretty sure that Martha would not want you to sell the farm." Lois states
"Well, we are not exactly rolling in cash so how are we supposed to buy the farm back?" Clark points out
"I can buy the house back for you guys under the condition that you move back to Smallville and live on the farm, and allow us to live with you." Naruto offers "I can expand the house down and outwards to make room for us as well as room to help the boys train. So we can all live under the same roof and help the boys thru this." he adds as he extends his hand
Clark thinks for a moment before grabbing Naruto's hand and shaking it, bringing him into a hug afterward "Thank you." to which Naruto nods back "We should probably head home and tell the boys about this new development." to which Clark nods before they hop in.
(With the kids – Kent Farm – Barn)
Jordan gathers his brother and Cousins determined to find out what their father was hiding from them which leads them to the barn. Jordan opened the door, and everyone enters the feeding trough area of the barn.
"Jon, Scampi, Rose do you think that Dad is hiding something from us?" Jonathan asked them still skeptical about this whole thing
"Jon, we had all those pipes land on us." Jordan pointed out "Besides, how did he get them off of us so fast, anyways?" trying to convince his brother
"I don't know. Adrenaline can be a crazy thing to have coursing thru your veins. Like when a soccer mom lifts a car kind of deal." Jon answered
"Yea well, Dad can't put up a Christmas tree without falling off the ladder." Jordan commented "And what's the one thing that he says every single time we come here?" he adds
"Don't put your finger in that? I don't know." Jon jokes
"'Stay out of the barn', dumbass." Jordan sighs
They enter the main part of the barn "Jordan what exactly are we looking for?" they ask
"Anything out of the ordinary, unusual, or out of place." Jordan answers before everyone spreads out and starts looking
Jordan moves around the barn before stepping on something causing something to creak. Jordan steps on it again producing another creak, Jordan looks at Jonathan.
"What?" Jonathan asks wondering why his brother is looking at him weird
"You hear that?" Jordan asks as he steps onto the floor again catching everyone's attention as they gather round
"The poles, they must have shifted the floor." Jonathan comments as Jordan begins to scoot the hay out of the way.
Jordan gets a better look at the floor "I think it's a door."
Everyone then begins to clear the hay looking for a handle, Jonathan finds a lock before he points to the crowbar in Jordan's hand. Jordan wedges the crowbar under the piece of wood sticking out that is keeping the hatch closed.
"Three, Two, One." The Kent boys say before they push breaking the lock off
They open the door before Jordan tells Jonathan to get the flashlight. Jonathan gets the flashlight before they all head down.
Once they get down into the room Jonathan takes a brief look around "It's just an old cellar, probably the where grandpa stored his tools or something similar."
They began looking around before Jordan spots something "Guys over here." before everyone makes their way to where Jordan is.
When they finally reach Jordan, they find something big covered by a tarp of sorts. Jordan and Jonathan go to opposite sides of the large object of interest before pulling the tarp off. Jordan and Jonathan get a look at what is below the tarp and start to hyperventilate as it produces a faint noise.
"What the hell is that thing?" Jonathan asks
"Jordan! What are you doing? Do not touch that!" Jonathan calls out to Jordan as he draws closer to the object feeling compelled to do so.
Jordan touches the object, causing it to make a brief hum, causing the surface to begin parting and close back up as Jordan jumps back
"Oh, my God. Did you see that? Did you see that? What the fuck was that?" Jonathan asked as Jordan begins to approach the object again "No, no, no, no. What was that? Jordan, What was that?"
Jordan reaches out as the object begins to hum due to Jordan's proximity "Jordan, what are you…" Jonathan calls out but falls on deaf ears all the while Scampi and Rose are not the slightest bit phased considering their ancestry/lineage
Jordan touches the surface of the object causing the surface to part, revealing what look to be crystals of some sort as one flies out into Jordan's open palm before Jordan draws his hand back causing the surface to close back up. Jordan examines the Crystal that came from the strange object before Jonathan decides to speak up.
"What the hell is that thing?" Jonathan asks
"Well, whatever it is…it's not from Kansas." Jordan answers before they all hear the farm truck start to come down the road causing them to all scramble out of the cellar to get answers
(With Clark and Lois in the Truck)
"Those reverse mortgages weren't because the bank was feeling nice. Those loans don't smell right." Lois comments before the kids exit the barn catching her attention "Well, Clark I think it's time to come clean." as she points to the kids coming from the barn.
Naruto and Sakura hoped out of the back of the truck before Clark and Lois got out. As the kids got closer the adults prepared for the backlash they would get once the truth was revealed.
Jordan was the first to talk "So that's why? Why you never wanted us in the barn? Because you keep a fuckin alien ship in there?"
"All will be explained kids." Naruto reassures them before looking at Clark
"Uncle Clark, an explanation would really do some good right now." Scampi and Rose followed up
"Can you explain how I fell 30 feet, and nothing happened? Much less the fact that we survived all those metal pips falling on us? You said we were lucky but that was a lie, wasn't it?" Jordan started firing off
"Yes, okay. I did lie to you but I did it with good intentions. Look. That ship that you found was what brought me here to Earth. I landed here in Smallville, just in those cornfields over there." Clark said as he pointed off in the distance "I was sent here when my planet…Krypton was destroyed." he continued
"Krypton?" Jonathan asked for clarification
"Yes. Krypton." Clark answered "And because I wasn't from this solar system I had certain powers. Your grandparents took me in. They raised me. Taught me how to control my abilities. How to blend in and act human until the day that I was ready to leave and become who I was sent here to be." he finished
"So, what you're saying is that your Superman?" Jonathan asked, this got Jordan angry
"No, I've seen Superman before. We've seen him." Jordans says getting in his dad's face causing Clark to sigh
Clark not seeing any other way to convince his sons that he is Superman decides that he has to show them. Clark takes his glasses off before folding them and handing them to Lois. Clark then walks to the back of the truck; Clark looks over at his son before single-handedly lifting the back of the truck up getting looks of shock from his sons as well as Scampi and Rose. Clark then proceeds to completely lift the truck over his head before lifting off the ground hovering about 20 feet in the air.
"Alright Naruto, now it's your turn to come clean." Clark says before tossing the truck towards Naruto
Scampi and Rose weren't the slightest bit scared at this act but Jordan and Jonathan gasp as the Truck gets closer and closer to Naruto who extends his hand before it slowly stops and just hovers midair before Naruto gets under it before flying up to meet Clark.
"As you can see your father isn't the only one that has been keeping a secret from you. I wanted to tell you boys, but Clark requested that we not." Naruto states as he hangs with Clark up in the air
"When your father first told me, I didn't understand a bit either." Lois tells her sons
"Did you guys know about this?" Jordan and Jonathan say turning to Scampi and Rose
"We are surprised but not nearly as much as you guys probably are. Truth be told we are still waiting to see what other powers/abilities we have inherited from our parents. Currently, all we have is superspeed, as well as the ability to utilize our chakra." They respond
"What is chakra?" Jonathan and Jordan ask
"That's a long explanation for another time." Naruto and Sakura answer
There is a pause for a second before Jordan breaks the silence "I understand." as Naruto and Clark come down "I understand all the excuses. All the times you were gone, you lied to us. You both did regardless of whether or not she was covering for you."
"Jordan, He was saving lives." Lois says defending Clark
"That doesn't make it any less true!" Jordan yells "You lied to protect his secret. All the things I've been feeling. You made me think I was crazy. They put me on pills Mom!"
"Your mental health has nothing to do with who your father is." Lois says trying to calm her son down
"And how do you know that? I'm half-human, half whatever the hell he is!" Jordan counters
"Do not yell at your mother, okay?" Clark reprimands Jordan
"You're both a hybrid, Half human, Half Kryptonian." Naruto corrects
"That doesn't make it any better or any less weird." Jordan countered
"Look it's not anyone's fault but mine. I am the one that didn't want to reveal mine or your uncle and aunt's secret because I didn't want you to know." Clark explains
"And why didn't you want us to know?" Jonathan asks his father
"Because I knew what kind of burden it would be if both of you had superpowers. Or worse if one of you had superpowers and the other didn't." Clark explains to them causing Jordan to develop a hurt look
"You think that he is the reason we survived yesterday don't you." Jordan states
"Jordan what are you talking about?" Jonathan asks confused as to what his brother meant
"Go on, Dad. Go on and tell Superboy here why he's really so perfect." Jordans says before backing away slightly in the direction of the truck
"We thought your athletic talents could be latent abilities starting to emerge, and then…well yesterday happened." Lois explained
"The only way that both of you could have survived that accident is for at least one of you to be like me." Clark buts in
"And you wouldn't have it any other way, would you, Dad?" Jordan says before turning around and beginning to walk away
"Jordan!" Clark calls out to his retreating son
"Don't try to talk to me, all right? You may have been sent here to be some hero, but you sure as hell weren't sent here to be a father." Jordans turns around to say before turning back around and begins to walk off
Clark tries to follow before Naruto stops him "He needs time to process all of this." before Scampi, Rose, and Jonathan follow after Jordan.
(A couple of hours later)
Naruto, Clark, Sakura, and Lois are gathered outside watching the sun start to set in the distance.
"Everything that I do with the boys seems to just blow up in my face." Clark said "Is Jordan, right? Am I a bad father?"
"Clark." Lois simply said
"It seems like everything that is falling apart is my fault." Clark continued
"Your life falling apart doesn't mean that you're special. It means that there is some part of you that is still human." Lois reassured her husband
Just then both Naruto and Clark pick up on Sam's ELT before looking at each other
"I think you should take this one, blow off some steam. Don't worry everything will be fine." Naruto said first before Clark nodded and sped off
(A little while later)
Naruto, Sakura, and Lois were chilling downstairs in the kitchen while Scampi and Rose were chilling in the guest room when they heard a knock on their door. Scampi got up and opened the door to reveal Jordan standing there.
"You guys want to come with me to the campfire party that Sarah talked about?" Jordan asked
Scampi looked to his sister who just shrugged "Yea sure, is Jon coming?"
"No, I don't really want to be around him right now." Jordan answered
Rose got up and walked to the door "Alright let's go." they both said before they walked out of the house with Jordan already having ordered an uber
The kids walk to the edge of the road before their uber pulls up and they get in before it drives off heading for the campfire party.
(A couple minutes later – Shuster Mine)
The uber finally arrives at Shuster Mine, and the kids get out. As the uber pulls away Jordan turned to Scampi and Rose.
"Why don't you guys go and get yourselves drinks." Jordan suggests getting nods in return from his cousins
"We will leave you alone with Sarah." Scampi says before they go and head for the beer kegs
"Hey, Sarah." Jordan says getting the brunette's attention
"Hey, you made it." Sarah calls out as she gets up "See you guys later." she says to her friends before joining Jordan
"I still don't understand how you guys did not get badly hurt." Sarah comments
"Still figuring that one out?" Jordan jokes
"Well, I am just glad that you made it. And if I remember correctly, I saw you brought your cousins as well." Sarah says as they head in towards where the party is
"Well, you did promise me trouble." Jordan responds
"Yea, well, I will definitely do my best." Sarah joked not knowing how well she would do in that endeavor
"Anyways, I don't really know how you guys party over in Metropolis, but here in Smallville, we do it a little bit differently."
As they get closer to the party, they heard fireworks going off and music playing. Jordan and Sarah head for the keg of beer. Once there Jordan starts to pour himself a cup while Sarah watches the bonfire, Sarah turns to see Jordan pouring himself some beer before she walks over to him.
"Maybe you shouldn't." she says before grabbing the spout from him "Beer and benzos don't really go well together."
"How'd you know?" Jordan asks giving her a strange look
"I saw you take one back at the funeral reception." Sarah answered causing Jordan to adopt an embarrassed look "But you're not the only one, you know, on something, so."
This caught Jordan's interest "You? For what? You seem like the perfect daughter for the most part."
Sarah rolled her eyes "Are we really going to do this right now?" Sarah asked as she started to walk away from the Keg followed shortly by Jordan "Go full 'Euphoria' on each other?"
"No, we don't have to. You're just kinda the only person that I know around here." Jordan answered
Sarah looked around "Nah, it's cool." before she motioned for Jordan to follow as she started towards a log to sit on
All the while Scampi and Rose are watching from a distance just sipping on their beer that isn't really affecting them. They were more just drinking it for the taste.
"Up until I was…11 or 12, my life was pretty awesome. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it was nice. Dolls and dance classes. But then something suddenly changed. People around here, get this sadness, and they act like it's something you can catch like the flu, but…I never thought it was gonna hit my house until it did. Now half of the night's my dad sleeps on the couch, and my mom gets really mad at him for being checked out, but to be honest, I can't really blame him. He's a firefighter, and being a firefighter here, you see all the really bad stuff. I mean, stuff that no one really wants to talk about." Sarah explained
"Like what?" Jordan asked
"Like parents cooking meth and their whole house catching on fire with the kids inside." the brunette answered before they resume their walk towards a log to sit on. They eventually reached it and sat down on the log.
"Anyways…about a year ago, I took a bunch of my mother's pills. I still don't understand why I did it. I've never done anything like that before, and my mom made a really big drama out of it. Lots of therapy and all that 'good stuff'. I know, for a sad story, it's really basic." Sarah finished explaining
Scampi and Rose saw a large dark-skinned boy and 2 other light-skinned boys making their way toward Jordan and Sarah. Scampi turned to his sister and silently told her to stay here and out of it, getting a nod in return Scampi got up and started making his way towards where Jordan and Sarah were.
Jordan placed his hand on Sarah's knee "No. It's not." before he leaned in and kissed Sarah
Sarah comes back to her senses and pushes Jordan away "What are you doing?"
"What?" Jordan says confused
"HEY!" the dark-skinned boy called out before kicking Jordan to the ground "That's my girlfriend!"
"Sean! What the hell! He didn't know!" Sarah said in Jordan's defense
"The hell are you doing with this guy?" the now name Sean asked his now 'girlfriend'
"It doesn't even matter. Relax. Relax." Sarah tried to reassure her 'boyfriend'
"Wait, you failed to mention that you had a boyfriend?" Jordan asked confused
"I would've gotten around to it, but you sorta leaned in to kiss me first and I got shocked." Sarah said in her defense
Scampi saw Jonathan coming from behind Jordan but still continued on his way to back up his cousins. Jonathan came from behind Jordan and shoved Sean sending him to the ground. "Back off!"
Jonathan pulled Jordan aside "You know how many townies I had to randomly DM to find out where this party was?" Jonathan asked rhetorically
By this time Sean was back up and out for blood "Out of my way." before he tried to continue after Jordan causing Jonathan to shove him away once again "Back off! You really don't want to get in my face right now." by this time Scampi had made if over to his cousins
"Jordan stay by my side." Scampi instructed Jordan.
Sean swung at Jonathan but missed before Jonathan took the offensive and tackled him to the ground and started beating on him.
"Hey, hey, hey!" Jordan called out trying to diffuse the situation before Scampi sensed 3 boys charging toward him trying to get to Jordan, all 3 coming from different directions, it took all of 2 seconds. 1 for Scampi to plant his feet, and 1 to toss the charging boy over his shoulder sending him barreling over him and into the second boy. As Scampi did this the last boy took the opportunity to tackle Jordan to the ground. Scampi was going to pry the boy off this cousin but sensed a 4th and final boy charging him and not wanting to look suspicious decided to just let the boy tackle him to the ground. Not that it would hurt but he didn't want to raise suspicion.
The boy that tackled Jordan socked him in the face sending his head to the ground. One of the 2 boys that were with Sean picked Jonathan up and tossed him to the ground before all 3 boys started kicking Jonathan as blood started to leak from his mouth and coughed up blood. Jordan saw this and started to get very angry, his eyes started to burn and Scampi and Rose sensed a build-up of energy coming from Jordan before twin beams of red energy fired from Jordan's location and hit the bonfire causing a big explosion knocking multiple people back.
(With Naruto, Sakura, and Lois)
Naruto and Sakura were drinking tea in the kitchen when Lois walked in talking to someone on the phone before the T.V. in the kitchen caught everyone's attention. Lois immediately went for the ELT and activated it before Naruto sped off towards the Shuster Mine.
(With Naruto and Clark – Shuster Mine)
Naruto and Clark had arrived at relatively the same time with Clark having to have changed into his civilian cloth and Naruto's suit having gathered back into his necklace as they both walked out from behind the fire trucks. Jonathan, Scampi, and Rose spot their fathers and call out for them before running to meet them. Jonathan hugs his father while Scampi and Rose simply nod their heads indicating that they were okay.
"The other one's pretty shakes up. That's twice in two days, Kent. The luckiest family I know." Kyle says walking past them coming from the trucks behind him
"Kyle." Clark calls out causing Kyle to turn around "Thank you." before turning back to his son
"Are you okay? What happened?" Clark asked Jonathan
"Uncle Clark, Jordan, he is the reason they survived the pipes." Scampi informed causing everyone to look towards Jordan who the paramedic had just finished putting a blanket around as he turned towards everyone else with bloodshot eyes.
Clark made his way over to Jordan "Let's get you, boys, home so your aunt can patch you guys up." Jordan gets up and they all head up with Clark flying the boys home as Naruto, Scampi, and Rose speed home.
(Kent Kitchen)
Jonathan was sitting in a chair as Sakura patched him up with the first aid kit. While Jordan was standing, leaning against the island in the kitchen as Scampi and Rose were leaning against the wall off to the side, and Naruto was next to Clark.
"So, you saved your brother." Lois stated
"I wasn't sure what happened. That's why I didn't say anything. All I know is, when I fell, I felt something come over me. It was a strength I'd never had before. I felt…control. I don't really know it's hard to explain." Jordan explained
"Yea. When you hit the ground both of us felt a brief energy build up before it dispersed. That was probably your Kryptonian side/genes kicking in/awakening." Scampi commented
"I know how scary this can be Jordan. When I first acquired your fathers' powers by accident it was hard to describe, hard to control. In fact, I believe that I had an outburst causing me to have to release my heat vision right into my hands so I could reabsorb the energy and not cause damage. It took me a few days to get everything under control and about a week to where I didn't just destroy everything that I touched. To tell you the truth, I am part Kryptonian and so are your cousins. You see when the particle accelerator exploded at S.T.A.R. Labs, which is now Uzumaki Industries, the energy that it released did something to my body. Gave me the ability to copy anyone's powers/abilities that I came into physical contact with. I only found out about it when I gave your father a hug when he informed your aunt and I that he wanted us to be your godparents, well this was back before several of the earths merged and create this one but that's beside the point." Naruto explained getting a shocked expression from Jordan and Jonathan
"Wait so you're telling me that there are other earths besides this one like the whole multiverse theory is true?" Jordan and Jonathan asked their uncle skeptically
"Yea, there was a whole crisis where the entire multiverse and all earths were destroyed, but the Green Arrow with the help of the Spectre was able to recreate the multiverse and Earth-Prime which is our earth unknowingly merging several earths together to create this one, your father was one of the paragons before Lex Luthor rewrote reality and replace himself with your dad, my entire family actually was duplicated and lead a similar life before we merged with them. Currently, I am the only one that can really break the barrier between worlds for some reason. Normally speedsters like the Flash, XS, and Impulse should be able to run fast enough to break thru the barrier, don't know why they can't." Naruto explained
It took a second for Jonathan and Jordan to get over their shock "So what's gonna happen to Jordan?" Jonathan asked
"We aren't entirely sure yet. Jordan's powers are manifesting very differently than mine did." Clark stated
"I'll run some tests to see what changed with his body." Sakura stated as she finished patching Jonathan up
"We will help Jordan in any way we can. Train and hone his abilities as they show up so that he can manage them and grow with them. Jordan isn't going to be alone on this journey he will have his family to fall back on." Naruto added
"Yeah, it's probably like learning to drive a car, you know? If cars were indestructible and had giant death lasers for headlights." Jonathan commented earning a slap to the back of his head courtesy of Naruto
"Apologize to your brother right now." Naruto instructs
"Yeah. Right." Jordan says before walking out not giving his brother a chance to apologize causing everyone to frown at Jonathan
"Too soon. I know. Sorry." Jonathan says before getting up to go and apologize
Clark moved behind a chair and leans on it "You were right Naruto. I should've told them a long time ago. Jordan could have killed someone tonight."
"We have to be on the same page moving forward." Naruto, Sakura, and Lois say
"I think I know what my mom meant when she said to come home. She knew how busy we are in Metropolis, how absent I'd been. I tried to convince myself that the boys would be fine and that it was okay for me to be gone so much but I was wrong." Clark explained
"You think your mother wanted us to move to Smallville and live on a farm?" Lois asked
"Yea, it's a simpler life. More time with each other, be part of a community, and now this? I think she felt that this family needs Smallville." Clark answered
"It's going to be a huge change, but I think she was right." Lois commented
(The Next Day)
The adults plus Lana were gathered at the kitchen table with Lana presenting the offer that she managed to acquire.
"I pulled some strings, and got you $2,100 an acre, which is very much above market value in Rice County." Lana explained
"Wow, that is very generous. Um, but we decided we're not selling." Clark said getting a shocked and confused look from the woman
"You're not?" Lana asked
"No, we got a loan from a family member and we are going to buy back the farm and reopen it. Run it the way my folks and I used to back in the day." Clark explained
"So, you're staying." Lana said surprised
Clark and Lois nodded "Well, we're going to talk it over with the boys but more than likely yes. It would be a good change for this family."
"Okay. Then do you have a check for the remaining balance off the loan?" Lana asked
Clark pulled out the check that Naruto had written him and handed it to Lana. She grabbed it and checked it to make sure that everything was in order and saw that it wasn't Clark's name on the check but Naruto's.
Lana turned to Naruto "I figured as much when they said that they got a loan from a family member."
"Lana I was wondering if you knew that a couple of months before those reverse mortgages were offered, a company had secretly acquired your bank." Lois asked
"No, I didn't know that." Lana answered confused
"Galaxy Holdings, whose majority shareholder is Morgan Edge." Clark told her
Lana scoffed "Why would someone like Morgan Edge be interested in a bunch of family farms in a town like Smallville, Kansas?"
"That is a very good question." Lois answered
(Outside with the kids)
Sarah was sitting on the table next to Rose while Scampi was standing next to Jordan and Jonathan.
"How's everyone doing after what happened last night?" Jordan asked
"Tag Harris broke his arm. Other than that, nobody else got hurt." the brunette answered
"Anyone say what caused the explosion?" Jonathan asked wondering if anyone saw anything
"My dad said it was probably just a little methane pocket." Sarah answered before everything went quiet
Jordan decided to break the silence and apologize for what he did that night "Look, I should've never kissed you last night."
"Wow. Okay, this is awkward. Good luck." Jonathan said patting Jordan on the back and walked away followed by Scampi and Rose
"Look it's not your fault. You didn't know about Sean, and I'm just really sorry about how it all went down. I just wanted to hang out with you. You were so sweet that summer that we met, and then well yeah, I saw you take that pill at the funeral…" Sarah explained with Jordan developing a smile "I just thought that if someone like you had issues, then someone like me wasn't so messed up."
"I think maybe it means we're both just a little messed up." Jordan joked getting a chuckle from Sarah
"Yeah, maybe you're right. Do you think that you can keep it a secret? You know, one person finds out, then everybody knows, and it's just…" Sarah begin before Jordan interrupted her
"Yeah. yeah, yeah, yeah. Your secret's safe with me." Jordan reassured her
"Thanks." Sarah responded before her mother called out
"Sarah!" Lana called out getting their attention
"Well, that's my cue. See you around." Sarah said
"Yeah." Jordan said with a smile before Sarah started walking towards her mother with Jordan going over to where his brother and cousins were
"Well, that didn't look like a total disaster." Jonathan joked
"Yeah, yeah, look. Um, Jon, about the powers, uh…" Jordan started not knowing exactly what he wanted to say
Jonathan stopped him before he could start "It's all good. Powers are overrated anyways. Plus, it just confirms what I've known to be true all along, that my skills on the field are all-natural."
"Yeah?" Jordan joked
"Yeah." Jonathan said before he started walking toward the adults
After Lana and Sarah leave everyone heads back into the house
"I still cannot fathom that you said that to her." Jonathan said
Everyone entered the kitchen
"Hey, boys. What would you guys think about staying here a little longer than any of us planned?" Clark asked
"Like a couple of days or something?" Jordan asked causing all the adults to look at one another before Lois spoke up
"More like permanently." Lois said
"I have school. Practice, the team." Jonathan said matter of factly
"We know, we know. It's a big conversation." Clark said before Lois continued
"Yeah, we'll have it tonight at family dinner. We just wanted to give you guys both some time to process what this would really be like before we do." Lois said
"Okay." Jonathan said simply
"Well, until then, you 4 follow me out to the barn. I wanna show you a few things." Clark said as he motioned them to follow
The kids looked at one another before Jordan spoke up excitedly "Like Superman things?"
"Like how to attach a plow to a tractor." Clark answered
"What? Seriously?" The kids asked
"Wait why do Scampi and Rose have to come as well?" Jordan asked
Clark motioned to Naruto "Your parents and I made an agreement/deal. I give them a no-interest loan to buy the farm back and you guys move to Smallville, away from the hectic life in Metropolis, allowing Clark to spend more time with you boys as a family. Your aunt and I also have been looking to move away from all the drama in Central City and this provided the perfect opportunity. We will also be living here, so we can help Jordan train and control his powers when they emerge as well as Scampi, Rose, and potentially even Jonathan." he explained
"So, what you're telling us is that we don't really have a choice in the matter?" Jonathan and Jordan asked
"Who else is going to look after the farm? I don't know how to run a farm. I'm just here to help the family." Naruto answered
"Those fields aren't going to plow themselves." Lois butted in as Clark started to head out to the barn followed shortly by the kids
"Okay, but Dad, we have questions. We just found out our dad's Superman amongst other things." Jonathan spoke up following after Clark
"Yeah, thousands and thousands of questions…" Jordan added as everyone followed after Clark
(After dinner)
Lois and Sakura had made dinner, everyone ate, and Naruto and Clark had done the dishes.
"You kids want to see something awesome?" Naruto asked with them all nodding Naruto walked over to the stairs and pulled up a portion of the floor underneath the stairs revealing the foundation underneath the house.
Naruto saturated the ground around him with Chakra before he began. They watched as Naruto began to move his hands and the earth smoothly shifted to fill in the underneath of the house not moving the pipes at all. Once Naruto was done moving the earth around, he jumped down into the hole/trench he created, Naruto then stomped on the ground and wood seemed to come out of the ground creating a stairway, complete with walls and a ceiling down to the bottom of the trench.
"Clark do me a favor and get the flashlights so the kids can see down here." Naruto said before Clark quickly grabbed 2 flashlights and turned them on before everyone headed down the newly created stairway
Once everyone was at the bottom Naruto continued his work as he continued to make hand gestures with the earth bending to his will. Soon there was enough space for 2 rooms, Naruto once again stomped on the ground and made more gestures as wood came up from the ground creating walls, ceilings, and doorways, wood then bleed out from the ground beneath them raising up about an inch creating the floor in both the newly created hallway and rooms. After that Naruto stopped his movements.
"I'll create doors later to put in the doorways, as well as wire everything down here and put lights in. But this should work when everything is said and done as our rooms. I can expand further, if need be, in the future." Naruto explained as Jordan and Jonathan were gobsmacked
Jordan was the first to speak "What you just did would have normally taken a week to complete in a few minutes. How the hell did you do that?" with Jonathan nodding
"I saturated the area around me with Chakra and simply manipulated the earth and added wood where needed." Naruto explained "This wood can withstand a nuke, a punch from me or your father at full strength as well as anything else that could possibly happen to it. I will be adding something to reinforce the rest of the house later so that not even a nuke would be able to damage it." he added
After that everyone headed up the newly created stairs. Once they were out of the stairway Naruto stomped his foot again and made more gestures as wood grew from the existing floor in the house and formed a doorway.
"Alright that's it we can head to bed now." Naruto simply said as everyone dispersed and headed to bed
