Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 8: Camp Fear

I don't own anything except my OCs.

Intro:

A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.

The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.

He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.

The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.

A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.

"Ben 10!"

2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.

"Ben 10!"

3: XLR8 zooms into the right.

4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.

"Ben 10!"

5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.

"Ben 10!"

"Ben 10!"

6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.

7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.

"Ben 10!"

8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.

"Ben 10!"

9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.

10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.

"Ben 10!"

Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.

The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.

Ben gave a low-five to his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.

The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.

He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kid's sides, 5 on each side. Just as the title appears on a black background with green rays appearing from the title.

"Change it!" "No, you change yours!" "No way! It's your turn!" "Then forget it!" Gwen snaps back at her cousin at the table as Max drives the Rust Bucket along a cliff during a rainy and stormy night as the windshield wipers are on, while the elder feels his eye twitch in annoyance. "I already picked out the cake, and balloons and sent out the invitations! By the way, this one is yours." But Ben merely threw the invitation away as he crossed his arms with a frown. "What kind of person would plan their birthday party, 5 months in advance?!" "The one who is going to celebrate it on her real birthday, this year?"

"No way!" Ben frowns at Gwen as he speaks out. "Grandpa promised me he's going to take me to Adrenaland for my Birthday!" "But you can't miss my party, Grandpa!" Gwen exclaims as Max puts his foot down. "Listen you 2! You both shared the same birthday for 10 years! And if you don't start acting your age, neither of you will be turning 11, this year! Understand?!" "Yes, Grandpa..." Both kids spoke out in a dejected tone.

Ben then felt an itch on his foot and he started scratching it, taking off his shoe and sock to do it Gwen was disgusted as he placed it on the table. "Why are you scratching your smelly feet in front of me?" "Don't know... Ever since we got to this forest, my foot has been itchy for some reason!" "Here, Ben. This can kill all kinds of fungus." Ben grabs the bottle that was tossed towards him by the elder. "'Athlete's foot powder.' Well... I am an Athlete." "Oh, give me a break." Gwen rolls her eyes out.

But as Max kept driving, he was stunned at seeing a boy wandering in front and crying out. "They're coming! Help me!" The elder gasps and quickly slams on the brakes as the kids cry out. "Grandpa! Look out!" The boy quickly rolls out of the way, but accidentally falls down the cliff, hanging on a branch for dear life as the Rust Bucket comes to a stop.

Ben rushes out as he dials the glove with a grin. "Big Chill to the rescue!" FLASH "Oh, man!" Cannonbolt moans out as he gets the wrong alien. "Can't this thing ever get it right? Fine! I can work with this." Cannonbolt spun dashes as the boy lost his grip and fell, screaming as the alien dove after him, managing to catch him and curling him up into his shell.

Then the alien bounced on the ground, knocking down a few trees and sliding to a stop as he uncurled. The boy then stood up, shaking his head clear as his vision showed Cannonbolt's face. "Are you okay?" Yipping in surprise at the alien, the boy said nothing and merely fainted, making the alien grumble. "Guess that's a no, then..."

Once Ben was able to get the kid back uphill, he was carried into the Rust Bucket as Max examined him. "Well, other than a few scraps and brushes, he's okay. But he's out cold. Could be a while before he can wake up." "His name is Gilbert." Ben is surprised at what his cousin said and asks out. "How do you know that?" "He has a nametag." Gwen points out as Max shows the tag underneath a towel on his shoulders.

But Ben is more interested and grossed out at a purple splotch on his left arm. "Ugh! That is one nasty-looking rash!" "It's some kind of fungus. And the symbol above is of that of Camp Opinicon." Gwen points out as Max spoke out while Ben kept poking the rash as he stuck his tongue out. "I saw the sign for the camp a few minutes back. They must have a nurse."

The Rust Bucket reached the campground, only for the family to find it empty. The 3 rushed into the Mess Hall as the storm kept raging. The family looks around to see the place empty, with some overturned chairs and scattered silverware all over as Max calls out. "Hello? Is anyone here?" "Looks abandoned." "Yep! Defiantly abandoned." Gwen comments with her cousin as Max checks a tray of spaghetti and meatballs, finding it still warm, much to his surprise. "Food's still warm. They took off in a pretty big hurry." "Wonder why?" Gwen questions as she looks around, just as a lighting crash startles them as the lights go out.

Max quickly switches on a flashlight and spots an annoyed Gwen as she gestures with her thumb at Ben, eating the food. "What?! I haven't had lunch and I'm hungry!" "You kids have your phones, right?" "Duh! Never leave without them." Ben responds as he pulls his out and switches the flashlight function as Gwen does the same. "Well, at least someone remembers something important, for once." Ben didn't like the way his cousin was talking and glared at her while butting heads, making Max roll his eyes in response. "Hey! Are you calling me stupid?!" "Don't need to, you just did!" "Well, maybe If you would let it go and just change the date!" "Never!" "Well then, never plus 10!"

Just then, a crash from the kitchen is heard as the family goes to investigate, seeing the place is just as messy as the dining room. As they kept looking, they spotted white eyes in a pantry, making them freak out for a second. Only to calm down when the light revealed 2 little kids that are a couple of years younger than Ben and Gwen. "Is it safe to come out?" The 2 asked at the same time as Max asked them. "You 2 okay?" "For now." The boy responds. "What happened? Where did everyone go?" Max asks the kids and the boy responds. "We heard a weird noise outside, but..." "We're too scared to come out." The girl answers meekly. "I'm Andy." "And I'm Mandy. We're twins."

Just then, a boom of thunder scares the twins as Max asks out. "Where's the camp nurse? I need to speak to her." "G-g-gone." "Along with the others." Mandy finishes her twin. Max didn't like the answer as he tried the camp phone, only to get nothing and check his cell to find no services as well, making him sigh. "Well, looks like the storm took out the landline, and no services here as well. Come on, kids! We'll drive back into town."

The group headed back to the RV they all got in as the storm was clearing up and they all got towels to dry off. But as the elder turned the key, he was surprised at a strange noise coming from the engine, making him and Ben check under the hood. "Oh, great! Looks like some sort of Fungus is clogging up the engine! Looks like we're stuck here for a while, sport." But Ben merely smirks out. "Not to worry, Grandpa! Just leave everything to Upgrade's repair services and we'll be good to..."

But as Ben is about to slap down on the Gauntlet, Max stops him as he explains. "Ben... After what Andy and Mandy have been through, I don't think an RV that suddenly became Hi-Tech, covered in a digital line paint job, and can talk to them, is something they need." "Aw, man!" "Besides, I'm getting a funny feeling about this place, and I think we need to check it out." "I guess..." Ben rolled his eyes in response as they got the others and went into one of the cabins.

Max places Gilbert down on one of the beds as Gwen notices the tween sleeping with some drool coming out, making her grimace in disgust while her cousin puts more powder in his shoe as the twins notice. "Athlete's foot?" "Everyone in camp gets it around here." "You kids stay put and keep an eye on Gilbert. I'll rustle up some grub from the Mess Hall." Max left as Gwen got a look of dread. "Grandpa Max, rustling up something from a messy kitchen with unknown supplies?" "Now that's a scary thought," Ben comments as he puts his shoe back on.

"There's got to be a care package, here!" Gwen cries out as she searches, along with Ben as well. They manage to find it under the bed, only to begin fighting over it as the twins groan out. "Can't you guys just share?" "Like it's bad enough sharing the same birthday with this know-it-all for 10 years straight?! You don't get it!" "Ben! They're twins! As in born on the same date, like we are?!" "I knew that..." Ben mumbles out.

"THEY'RE HERE!" Gilbert cries out as he wakes up, startling the others as Gwen sits up and asks. "Who's here?" '"GAHHH!" "That's Grandpa!" Ben cries out as he goes to the door, only for Gilbert to tackle him. "NO! Don't go out there! They'll find you!" "Relax! I'm sharper than I look." Ben smirks out as he glances at the glove. He went out as he made his way past the Mess Hall as he dials his glove towards Diamondhead's icon. FLASH

He holds out his arms as his left one gets engulfed in pale green, translucent-like crystal, which transforms into a muscular, blocky arm with four fingers, made from the substance. The same thing happens to his left arm as well. He then turns around as 2 huge blade shards grow out his back along with 2 mini ones above and below it. He then turns around as he grows as tall as an adult as a sleeveless jumpsuit appears on him. His head becomes engulfed in crystal as his head changes into a strong-jawed head as he poses.

Diamondhead kept sliding on a crystal bridge through a forest, trying to find Grandpa Max. He kept leaping and sliding as he traversed through the woods. "Come on, grandpa! Where are you?" He looked up and saw a construction crane on a hill. "That looks like somewhere to start." He rushed uphill as fast as he could and saw that the woods on the other side of the hill were like an entirely different world altogether. Giant mushrooms lined up instead of trees and other kinds of infected fungi dotted the landscape. The entire place looked like something out of a natural nightmare.

"I've got a bad feeling about this..." Diamondhead mumbles out as he glances around and decides to head for the large hole in the ground. As the alien approached it and looked down at the hole in the center of the mushroom forest, a bunch of purple tendrils burst out of the ground and wrapped around him. "Tentacles! I hate tentacles! Why did it have to be tentacles?!" He cries out as he generates spikes all over him, tearing the tendrils off as he forms his arms into spikes and fires tons of crystal shards that take care of the rest of them. Diamondhead then leaps down into the abyss, deciding to go underground to find his grandfather.

The crystal alien lands on his feet slides down to a stop and sees Max being dragged downwards by the same tendrils. "Grandpa!" "Ben!" Max cries out at his grandson. Suddenly, more tendrils gagged his mouth and dragged him further down into the abyss. "Give him back, you overgrown weeds!" Diamondhead cries out as he chases after the tentacles, slicing through any tendrils that come his way.

Only to time out as he stumbles forward in his human form. "Oh, man!" Ben shouted. "Not now! Grandpa!" Ben then hears a sound as he looks around and a bunch of orange mushrooms suddenly grow eyes and limbs and two sets of jaws open upon their stalks as they approach the boy while the kid yipes in surprise. Ben quickly books it, running as fast he can from the mushroom men.

He had reached a corner when a blue-green plant shot upwards under his feet and tried to chomp down on him, but Ben stumbles off with a yell and lands on his back in the dirt. The brown mushrooms dogpiled the kid as he landed... or so they thought as the boy was standing off to the side and gasped as the mushrooms noticed him once again.

The kid turned and ran again down the tunnels with tendrils and mushrooms chasing him down the tunnel until he reached the end and immediately climbed up the wall without looking back. Once Ben reached the surface, he found a bulldozer next to the hole. Ben, getting an idea, jumps in and tries to start the construction machine. "Come on, how do you work this thing?" The tween mumbles as he tries to engage the gear shift. As he tried to get the machine started, the mushrooms and tendrils crawled up the hole and glared at him, going for the boy hero.

"I'm taking you guys out at the root!" Ben shouted as he fired up the bulldozer and put it into reverse. The bulldozer then shot forward and pushed the mushrooms back down into the hole. Unfortunately, this did nothing to the tendrils as they wrapped around the machine and lifted them. Ben quickly leaped out and ran as the tendrils pulled the bulldozer down into the hole. "Okay, so much for that idea..." Ben mumbled out in dismay as the tendrils tossed the bulldozer back outwards and it flew onto the hill, destroying an outhouse and sign as Ben made a run back for camp.

Ben rushed back to the cabin and slammed the door behind them, taking deep breaths from running so long. "You are never going to believe this! But there are-" Gilbert cries out. "Killer mushrooms! Everywhere!" "And they've taken over the whole camp!" Gwen cries out as Ben is surprised that they already know about the plant mutants. "Right... And they got grandpa!" "Oh, no!" Gwen cries out in dismay. "They must be a dormant species that came alive when the camp dug in this new area. That's what I was trying to tell you when your RV almost ran me over! We've got to get out of here!" Gilbert explains and suggests.

"I'm not going anywhere without my grandpa!" Ben said with a frown and narrow eyes as he went out the door. "Make that the 2 of us!" Gwen added as she followed him out the door as the campers did as well. The group kept walking as they headed towards the forest. "What do you think they want?" Ben asked. "I took this advanced botany class, last semester," Gwen explained. "And-"

Suddenly, the ground shook and a gigantic white spore mushroom shot out from the ground, startling them. "They want us! For plant food!" Ben cries out in shock. "Oh man!" Gwen said, trying to shake the thought off as they ran back into the cabin for shelter. They didn't get far, however, as even more mushrooms rose from the ground in the cabin. "Everyone out!" Ben ordered as they all ran away as the cabin was demolished by the mushrooms growing out of the ground. They all stood back-to-back as an entire forest of white mushrooms grew from the ground and they all gasped out. "Okay, they stopped. That's good, right?" Ben asks as he stares at the white mushrooms.

"It's worse." All eyes were on Gilbert as he explains. "Those are puffballs, containing billions of mushroom spores! If those mushrooms mature and release those spores..." "They could spread over the entire state, or even the entire country!" Gwen realized. "That does it!" Ben said as he pulled his cousin away. "I'm going XLR8! I'm going to save Grandpa and start chopping these things down!" "Actually," Gilbert said, walking up. "The only way to eliminate a mushroom is to destroy its mycelium." "It's... what?" Ben asked with a raised eyebrow. "It's brain!" Gwen explained.

"You guys know way too much about Mushrooms, you know that?" Ben comments. He walks off when Gwen stops him. "I'm coming as well. He's my grandpa too." "Look, Gwen, we may share a lot of things over the years. But we don't share this." Ben states as he shows the device in his hand Gwen understands what he is saying. "Be careful."

XLR8 kept zooming through the forest until he stopped at the hill, overlooking the mushroom forest, just to see more of them popping up as he raised his visor briefly. "This doesn't look good..." He zips down the hole and comes to a brief stop, keeping a careful watch out for the purple tendrils from before, and looks around for his grandfather as the alien advances further down the tunnel. "Grandpa? Are you here?" XLR8 asked. Suddenly, the brown mushrooms from before sprouted upwards and he immediately ran away further down the tunnel.

Back at camp, the group hides behind some targets at the archery range. "If we can make it to the dining hall, we can barricade ourselves in the kitchen," Gilbert suggested. "And fight these things off with what? A spatula?" Andy asked in disbelief as his sister covered her face with her hands. "We are so dead meat!" Mandy cried out in dismay. "Oh, I hate it, hate it, hate it here!"

Suddenly, the ground shot up from underneath them and a giant mushroom sprouted up with the twins on it. They screamed as the cap opened green tendrils wrapped around the twins and the mushroom swallowed them up. Gwen quickly went to get something to get the twins out.

Back in the tunnel, XLR8 reached a split path as the purple tendrils surrounded him on their left side and he quickly used his claws and superfast speed to slice them up before they could grab him. "Keep your roots to yourself!" He shouted as he took down the right path mumbling in determination. "Hold on, Grandpa! I'm coming for you!" He then spots something on the ground and picks it up. "Grandpa's hat! Must be getting closer." He took off again with the hat.

Gwen fires some arrows with her new bow, perching at the mushroom as it releases toxic gas from its stem. She smiles, pleased. "Bullseye!" She shouted as the mushroom fell over. Gilbert and Gwen pulled the twins out as they recovered, only for it to be short-lived as more identical mushrooms rose from the ground and surrounded them as Gilbert gulped. "Move it!" He shouted as they turned and ran for the mess hall.

As they ran, they were stopped once they reached the rock-climbing wall and the mushrooms sprouted up from the sides, trapping them. "We need to get to higher ground!" Gwen shouted. "But the rock wall is only for the older campers." Mandy states, only to hear a noise as they all glanced back "Call me crazy, but right now, I think some camp rules are meant to be broken." Gwen stated as they looked and saw glowing green eyes in the shadows and knew those didn't belong to her cousin.

In the deepest part of the tunnels, Max suddenly came to and looked around the area and saw that he was bound by the roots. "What the..." In a clearing in front of him, XLR8 came in, cutting the roots away with a determined look on his face as he looked up to see him. "Grandpa!" The alien exclaims as he runs up and starts cutting his grandfather free. "Ben..." "Save your strength." He said as he kept pulling at the roots. "I'll have you free in just a-" BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP FLASH "NO! NOT NOW!" Ben exclaims in dismay as he is now human, just as some purple tendrils lunged at him. "Ben!" Max cries out in shock as his grandson is engulfed in tendrils. "Grandpa!" The boy cries out as his vision goes dark.

Gwen scaled the rock-climbing wall with Gilbert, Andy, and Mandy close behind her. "Come on! We've got to keep moving." Gwen orders as she looks over the ledge and spots the Mess Hall on the other side of the mushroom-filled campgrounds. They looked up and saw a zipline by theme as Andy and Mandy struggled to grasp the first line on the zipline. "Me first!" Andy shouted. "No, me!" Mandy retorted. "Does it matter?!" Gwen scolded. "Now zip it!" Mandy took the line, stuck her tongue out at her brother, and zipped down the line, followed by her brother, then Gwen, and finally Gilbert, who screamed down the line.

Back with the elder and his grandson, Max, and Ben struggle in the roots as Ben wiggles his hands free to get to the watch. "Ben... Can you see if you can turn into Heatblast?" "Trying! The watch must need more time to charge..." Ben struggles as he keeps fiddling with the glove, only for it to glow green. FLASH

Vines grew out of the device as they engulfed the 10-year-old, encasing him in a green shell. The shell grew legs as black pods grew out of his back. He pulls the flaps open to reveal his transformed head as he poses.

"Wildvine?! Why would you pick him?" Max questions in surprise as his grandson is now a humanoid plant alien with green skin, and 4 long and thick fingers on his hands, he has patches of light green on his shoulder, forearms, and back of his hands with 4 vine-like legs. He has a single green eye and flytrap-shaped flaps with teeth covering his head, and pods on his back that he can use as explosives or smoke bombs. He lastly has the symbol on his chest. Ben is now his green, plant-based alien: Wildvine.

The alien plant responds. "Got me, Grandpa! I didn't ask for him..." Suddenly, spikes grew out that shredded the roots, freeing him as he smirked at his fingers that grew spikes as well. "But who am I complaining?" He frees his grandfather. "Let's get out of here, Grandpa!"

"You aren't going anywhere." Said a voice sounding out from all around them. Wildvine glances up in surprise. "Did you hear that?" "Hear what?" Just then, more roots drag Grandpa beneath as Wildvine tries to help, only to get caught as well. They were dragged down beneath the Earth as they hung in mid-air. They looked down and gasped as they saw a giant pink mass growing underneath them with tons of plants and spores growing out from it. "I communicate with all vegetation on a telepathic level." The alien hero gasped in fear at the horror before them.

The others were still going down the zip line with Gilbert freaking out from fear. Unfortunately, one of the sentient mushrooms climbed onto the starting area and glared and bit down on the line, breaking it and sending Gwen, Gilbert, Andy and Mandy falling, bouncing off the mushrooms to the ground. They managed to recover as the twins screamed as they were surrounded by tons of sentient mushroom troops.

Gilbert, shivering with fear, turned and spotted a shed on their side. "In there!" He cries out as they run off as blue roots shoot up from where they are standing and shoot after them. Gilbert screamed as the roots shot after them, but they all made it in as Gwen immediately closed the door behind them.

Gwen starts panting as she leans on the door, slowly recovering from the attack as she gains strength. "We wouldn't even be here right now if you didn't make us hide in the kitchen!" Andy shouted as Gwen noticed the twins were arguing and fighting with each other. "Me?" Mandy asked. "It was your idea in the first place!" "Well, you didn't have to listen to me!"

"Stop it!" The older girl cries out with a glare as the twins point at each other. "He/she started it!" "It doesn't matter who started it or whose fault it is." She spoke. "What matters is that your family and you need to stick together." "Okay..." The twins glance at each other and sigh out at the same time. "Good," Gwen said, picking up a baseball bat as she tapped it on her hand with a frown. "Because we're going to need to fight our way out of here."

"Let me guess, veg head? You're the Brainiac?" Wildvine questions out at the thing. "I prefer Mycelium." The brain said as it revealed a maw with tons of razor-sharp teeth. "Ben? Who are you talking to?" "Mushroom Head, over here, Grandpa," Wildvine explains to the elder. "It's like Wildvine can hear him. Oh man, why couldn't you be a vegetarian?" "Struggle as you may, you can't stop me. Soon, I will consume every living creature on this planet." "Oh, yeah?!" Wildvine quickly broke free by sprouting spikes all over his body and lashing his arm up at the ceiling, springing up as he dropped his back pods as well, sending bombs that exploded around the Mycelium and blew part of them up.

Wildvine then frees Grandpa as he swings around onto a branch and sets him down safely, all while the overgrown mutant brain tries to communicate. "Surely as a plant, you must understand the wisdom of sharing a single intelligence." "Yeah! I don't like sharing my things. Ask my cousin!" Wildvine grabs a bunch of pods from behind him and leaps up, spinning and chucking them as they blow up all over the brain body Wildvine starts slicing and tearing off several bits and roots.

Meanwhile, Gwen and the campers shouted out as they charged into battle against the living mushroom sentries. Gwen was armed with her baseball bat, Mandy with a paintball gun and mask, Andy with a hockey stick and mask, and Gilbert with a leaf blower and baseballs. Gwen immediately charged up and swatted the mushrooms back with her bat causing it to go flying back into the giant mushrooms with a shout. She then smacks a few more around with her bat as well. They immediately charged into the herd with no mercy on their minds.

Mandy fired several paintballs at the mushrooms while her cousin fired hockey pucks at them with his stick, bouncing them off and knocking them out. One of the mushrooms tried to get the jump on them, only to be blown away by Gilbert's leaf blower that launches a baseball as he chuckles with a smile. "Nice shot." The twins said in unison before getting a worried look on their faces. "Uh-oh." They then ran off when they saw a giant swarm of mushroom sentries charging them from behind.

Gwen, Andy, Mandy, and Gilbert ran through the maze of mushrooms while trying to outrun the mushroom swarm and eventually reached the camp lake. "Oh, man..." Gwen groaned before she looked and saw a boat by the lake and got an idea. "Everyone thinking what I'm thinking?" They all then picked up the boat and used it as a shield/battering ram for them as they ran towards the swarm. "Charge!" The Tennyson girl cried out as they rammed down the mushrooms with reckless abandon and kept charging like a bull in a China shop. "Take no prisoners!" Gilbert shouted as they finished, and they set the boat down and ran for the mess hall again.

Unfortunately, a vine reached out from behind and snagged Mandy up by the shirt, sending her screaming up into the air. Andy gasped as he noticed and reached into his duffel bag and pulled out a pair of ice skates. He then tied the laces together and twirled them around in his hands. He tossed them like a bladed bola, which sliced the root in half, freeing his sister, who flew into him, crashing onto the boy as Mandy took off and dragged her dazed twin along as well. The group made it into the Mess Hall as Gwen shut the door. "Hope Ben and Grandpa are having better luck than we are..." She mumbles out in worriment.

Wildvine kept leaping around, slicing and tossing bombs at the Mycelium. "Resistance is futile. For even if you destroy me, you cannot possibly destroy the billions of spores I am about to release into your atmosphere." "I'll worry about them next, spore brain!" Only for the hero's luck to run out as the watch times him out as Ben glances at himself. "Seriously?!" Just then, more roots snatched him and Max up as they were lifted towards the mouth. "Grandpa... Sorry." Ben mumbles out in terror.

But Max frowns as he kicks some roots with his boot. "That's okay, Ben. Besides, If I'm going down, I'm going to at least take the fun out of this fungus!" "Fungus..." Ben's eyes widen in surprise as he gets an idea about his grandfather's words! "That's it!" "What's it?" "Grandpa! Didn't you say the footpowder kills any kind of fungus?" Ben said as he kicked his legs back and forth and kicked off his shoe, which was filled with athlete's foot powder, into Mycelium's mouth.

It groaned in pain and started pulsing back and forth and foaming at the mouth. The kid wiggles his arms free pulls out from his pocket the bottle of the powder and throws down the entire bottle of foot powder into Mycelium's mouth. Mycelium howled in pain as it frothed back and forth as its roots came undone, freeing Ben and Max, sending them falling on their butts as they looked up as Mycelium exploded in a pool of mushroom juice.

Back with the campers, the Mushrooms manage to get into the Mess Hall and surround the kids. But as one was about to attack, it stopped dead in its tracks as it shriveled up and died, falling to the floor. The rest of the swarm followed suit, leaving a bunch of dead fungi in the hall as the others looked confused. "What just happened?" Gilbert asked. "My cousin just happened." Gwen smiled, recognizing Ben's handiwork.

They walked out of the mess hall with satisfied smiles on all their faces as they looked on. "This camp rocks!" Andy and Mandy cheered, pumping their fists. "I can't wait to come back, next year!" Gilbert said. Suddenly, they looked ahead and saw Ben and Max, dripping and covered in mushroom juice as they groaned miserably. "You both did it!" Gwen exclaims. "Not yet. We still need to stop those things from releasing the spores." Ben gestures to the puffballs until he gets another idea. "Hey! Didn't you say everyone gets Athlete's foot?" Andy nodded in response to the question as they went to the nurse's office and found tons of powder bottles. "Any ideas on how we're going to get this stuff, above?" Gwen smirks out. "I think I do."

A cloud of athlete's foot powder was bathed over the mushroom spores, killing them almost instantly as Gwen flew on Big Chill's back and kept sprinkling the powder from the duffle bag on her. The Tennyson girl chuckled as the moth soared through the skies.

"Nice work, Gwen," Ben said as the trio sat at a table at a pizza parlor as they smiled, after dropping the camp kids back to their parents. "Thanks! And I've been thinking." Ben looks down in thought. "I guess I can have my birthday, anytime. You take the real date." "That's nice of you! But you did save the world and me, back there. You take the real date." "Okay!" Ben smiles out. "Well. Guess you both can agree on anything." Max mumbles out with a smile. That was when the pizza was delivered and the only topping on it was... "Mushrooms?!" Both kids asked out in disgust as they backed away slowly. "Gross!" "Well, almost anything..." Max said, munching on his pizza, enjoying the taste as his grandkids lost their appetite from the toppings.
