Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 16: They Lurk Below
I don't own anything except my OCs.
Intro:
A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.
The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.
He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.
The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.
A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.
"Ben 10!"
2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.
"Ben 10!"
3: XLR8 zooms into the right.
4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.
"Ben 10!"
5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.
"Ben 10!"
"Ben 10!"
6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.
7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.
"Ben 10!"
8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.
"Ben 10!"
9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.
10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.
"Ben 10!"
Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.
The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.
Ben gave a low-five to his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.
The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.
He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kids' sides, 5 on each side. Just as the title appears on a black background with green rays appearing from the title.
In the skies above the ocean, a hi-tech jet/helicopter flew across the water as Ben gazed out of the window in glee and awe. "Now this is cool! Picked up by a billionaire's private jet to check out his new hotel before anybody else! Now this is summer vacation! Thanks!" The boy exclaims as the Tennysons are enjoying the comfy leather seats and cool drinks served on board as the elder responds to his grandson. "I do anything for you guys, you know that."
Gwen asked Max. "Why didn't you tell us you knew Donovan Grand Smith?" "Must have slipped my mind." The jet helicopter lands on a pad that is part of a building that is floating on the sea with a couple of boats parked around it. The door opens as the Tennysons meet up with an elder man around Max's age and is wearing a dull red turtleneck sweater with white pants and black shoes and has grey hair in a backwards spike style with a widow's peak. Next to him is a boy around the cousins' age and is wearing an identical outfit, only he has red and white sneakers and black hair in the same style as his grandfather's.
"Max Tennyson! It's been way too long." "How are you, Donovan?" Max smiles as he shakes his old friend's hand. "Well, with 16 resorts worldwide, I say pretty good. Glad you decided to see how the better half lives, heh, heh." Donovan chuckles as Max introduces his grandkids. "These are my grandkids: Ben and Gwen." "And this is my grandson, Edwin." "Hi!" Both cousins smile at the boy, who scoffs as he looks away with crossed arms. "Whatever." The Tennysons were surprised at the response as they glanced at each other. "Ready to take the plunge?"
In response to Donovan's question, the group of 5 enters an elevator goes down arrives at an underwater station, and boards into a small round carrier. Donovan gives the man at the controls a thumbs up as the machine then goes down the Tennyson kids are in awe at seeing the undersea ocean before their eyes. As some whales pass by them, Max asks Donovan with a frown. "Are you sure this is the safest place to build a resort, Donovan?" "What? Worried about underwater fault lines?" "I'm saying you're right in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle!"
Both Ben and Gwen were shocked at what Max just said! The Bermuda Triangle?! As in the very place where tons of ships and planes have vanished without a trace over the years?! And they were under it?! But Donovan chuckles. "Growing up, you were always the worrywart, Max. Never the risk taker. I give you all the world's 1st and only underwater resort!" The man gestures to a huge, dome coating the fancy-looking resort as the kids and Max are amazed. "You won't believe what's down here."
Later, they walked the halls of the resort with the ocean surrounding them from open glass walls on every side. "The official grand opening is still a week away," Donovan said as Ben and Gwen ran through the halls while Edwin looked bored. "Only a few special VIPs are getting a sneak peek. It sure beats that rusty old bucket of bolts you sleep in, doesn't it, Max?" But Max just smiles. "You be surprised on what the Rust Bucket can do, Donovan."
The kids admired the fish swimming by as the elder men came by them they noticed a man in a diver suit, cleaning the windows from the outside as well. "I read about your resort in Pacific Monthly Oceana, Mr. Grand Smith," Gwen said as she looked back at the resort owner as Edwin noticed. "Very cutting-edge. Isn't the glass reinforced with..."
"Butt-kisser." Edwin coughed out. Gwen notices and frowns at the rich brat. "Micro-titanium threads: They can withstand ten atmospheres. Nobody gets wet here unless it's in one of the nine pools." Donovan explains to the red-headed girl. "Very impressive, Donovan!" Max said with a nod. "Well, for 2 billion dollars, it ought to be. But, you know, money isn't everything." "Did we change the family motto, Grandpa?" Edwin asked as Donovan blinked out.
That was when Ben caught a glimpse of the Sumo Slammer's pin on Edwin's collar, causing them to perk up. "Hey, I'm in Sumo Slammers too! Where did you get that pin?!" "Sumo Slammers Slamdown 5 in Helsinki," Edwin answered. "We flew on my grandpa's private jet just to get it." Donovin pats his shoulder with a smile. "And Edwin says the pin's already tripled in value. The kid's got a business head. Grooming him to take over the empire one day. Gotta keep it in the family."
"Hmm... I wonder if Grandpa has done anything cool that I can follow in his footsteps?" Ben ponders out as he knows his grandpa had a few jobs during his youth, mostly being a plumber, but Ben is not sure a career of unclogging sinks and toilets for other people is considered 'cool'. But Max can't help but notice what he said and has a concerned look as if he wants to tell Ben and Gwen something.
That was when an alarm sounded, and they saw the lights flicker on and off slightly. They looked out to see the diver employee who was cleaning the windows lose his balance and get tangled up in the hose he was using he looked down to the filters that seemed to move in reverse as his suit started filling up with water. "What happened?" "A power surge must have recycled the water!" Donovan explains to Gwen.
"Is he going to be alright?" Ben asked. "If the sharks don't get him first..." Edwin said, watching the sharks swim into the area. Donovan exclaims "I can't have an employee be turned into fish food before the opening! The press will ruin me!" He runs off as Ben glances at Max as the elder nods at him, making the boy run off to a hidden area and dial the watch. "An underwater rescue needs an underwater alien. Going Water Hazard!"
Ben then smiled and slammed down the watch, the flash of green light briefly catching the attention of Gwen, and Edwin as the rich boy spoke out. "What was that?" "What was what?" Gwen acted clueless as she knew that the flash of light was her cousin, going alien hero.
Grey Matter walks out and groans at himself. "Dang it! The one time I'd be better off as me!" Grey Matter, nonetheless, just dives into the water.
Outside, the diver was surrounded by the sharks as they circled him and Grey Matter swam in. He grabbed onto one shark's dorsal fin and started punching it in the eye, recalling with his huge brain that a shark's sensitive eye is its a weak spot, blinding it and causing it to slam into the other one as they fight with one another as Grey Matter slammed into the diver's mask with a grin.
Just then, the filters reversed and blew them upwards back into the resort's tanks as Grey Matter was flung away. Max helped the diver up as Donovan came up. "You okay?" Donovan asked as the diver groaned out as his grandson looked around. "Where's your cousin?" Edwin asked Gwen. "Up here! Just hanging!" Ben said from a large submarine, hanging from the ceiling as the boy ask. "Anybody got a ladder?"
The newly recovered diver walked away as the group recuperated from the situation. "Well, I'll have to double his salary, but he won't breathe a word," Donovan said. "Anyway, who'd believe him? He said some 6-inch rat with 2 legs saved him. Ben and Gwen smirked at each other in response. "Buy him off." Edwin scoffed out. "That's the Grand Smith way." "Edwin, take the kids on a tour so Max and I can catch up on old times." As Donovan left with Max, the kids looked annoyed. "Oh man!" Ben said disappointed as Gwen blew her hair away and Edwin frowned.
"Oh, Max," Donovan said as they walked away. "It's too bad you didn't take me up on my offer 30 years ago when we were both dead broke. You wouldn't have had to spend your life unclogging drains and fixing toilets while I traveled the world." "You'd be surprised. Being a plumber does have its moments." Max said with a smirk.
The tour began at a water park-like area of the resort as the others smiled. "Nice!" Ben said, impressed as he put his hands on his hips. "Not bad. In the morning I have my own swim coach and personal trainer to work out with." Edwin admitted. "You're a swimmer?" Gwen asked. "Long distance. My grandpa says it builds character." Edwin said as he walked away. "'My grandpa says it builds character'." Ben mocked as Gwen laughed at the joke from her cousin.
The tour continued as they looked up to see a display of a submarine hanging from the ceiling. "It's called the Undersea Manta Ray!" Edwin explained. "It's my grandfather's." "Well, it looks cool..." Gwen said as they looked up impressed. "You wanna take it for a ride?" Edwin asked. "Definitely!" Ben grins out as Gwen looks worried. "Are you sure it's okay?" Edwin smirked at the girl.
Meanwhile, Max and Donovan were walking to the power control area where the technician nodded to his boss before walking away as Donovan explains. "A reverse power surge caused the whirlpool effect, but it's fixed now."
"Must keep a lot of juice to keep this place lit up," Max observes as he glances around. "That can't come from the mainland, we're too far offshore..." Donovan explained to his old buddy. "Volcanic vents on the ocean floor, we tap into them like a big steam generator." They walked towards the generator with some of the workers. Inside one of the generator's panels, a purple light was glowing, catching Max's attention. "What's behind that panel?" Max asked.
"Nothing, it's just a backup generator. Now watch this." Donovan said before nodding to one of his employees. She nodded and pressed her button and the generator let out some steam power as three engine workers pulled down on some levers, letting out more steam.
On the surface, the workers watched the pressure levels rise as the resort let out a green light that illuminated the surface.
"I have enough energy to illuminate the outside so bright, it's visible 500 ft above sea level," Donovan said as the camera shifted down to the sea floor. "Now for my prized possession: the Undersea Manta Ray." Donovan and Max walked up to the area, only to find the submarine wasn't there and neither were the kids. The elders gasped as Donovan growled. "Edwin."
Said rich grandson was piloting the Undersea Manta-Ray through the ocean as it dropped down from the resort's garage with the kids as its passengers. They all gazed out the windows in awe and wonder as they looked at the marine life passing by them. Some jellyfish passed by them with a smile. "Wow..." Gwen admired as some fish that looked like they came from off-world passed by the windows. "Some of these fish look prehistoric." "Tell me about it. I think they may be even aliens..." Ben breathes out.
The Manta Ray continued on its voyage through the ocean floor. But as they passed by some rocks, some alien squid drones took notice of them and immediately followed them. They possessed six mechanical tentacles with flexible ribbed joints; two of the tentacles had mechanical claws on the ends. On the bottom of their bodies are mechanical parrot-like beaks. They had glassy, glowing cyan heads with white lines that represented circuitry. Below the head is what appears to be a purple eye.
The Manta Ray passed by them as Gwen looked downward to see that the ground below them seemed to be glowing. "Okay, now that's weird." Suddenly, one of the robot squids appeared at her window and attacked the glass in front of her, snapping its beak at her. "And that's weirder!" Edwin gulped as another squid appeared by them and attacked his section.
Soon, an entire swarm of squids appeared and started attacking the Manta Ray relentlessly. Soon, they managed to crack the glass and water started flooding the submarine, causing an alarm to sound out as the others gulped nervously. "Tentacles... Why did it have to be tentacles?!" Ben groans out as he feels his tentacle-phoebe surfacing.
"What do you think those creatures want?!" Edwin asked. "Something tells me that it's not to play Marco Polo!" Gwen groans out. "We've got to get back to the hotel! Floor it!" Ben cried out as Edwin nodded and engaged the controls again, driving the sub back towards the hotel with the squids following it. Not far afterward, they saw they had wandered right into an underwater minefield.
"Uh-oh..." Gwen said nervously as Edwin carefully drove the sub away from the mines. Too bad the squids weren't that smart as one of them crashed right into a mine, detonating it and setting off a chain reaction of explosions that rocked the submarine. And yet still, the squids refused to let up as Edwin finally reached for the radio. "Grandpa, do you copy?"
Gwen glances at Ben as he looks a bit scared, but as he glances at his cousin, who has a worried look, Ben remembers his encounter with Steam Smythe and bucks up, taking a deep breath as he frowns and gets out of his seat and quickly moves to the back. As he shuts the door, he starts dialing the watch as he frowns. "Turn me into Cannonbolt, you're dead meat!" FLASH
Ben felt barnacles grow out of his being as he felt his insides filling with water a hard exoskeleton armor formed on his body he felt his fingers turn into claws his feet change as well and a hard hood grow over his head with his black mask formed as he posed.
"Okay, now we're talking!" Water Hazard said as he glanced at himself. He dove out of the sub and rocketed towards the cyber squids. He made his water knives and sliced through 2 of them. Another one tries to grabble him from behind, but Water Hazard used his strength to break free and tore off some tentacles and then punched straight through the glass dome and swam after the sub.
Back at the Manta Ray, the squids that were still attacking the sub were still slamming against the glass and more water was pouring into the sub as the human kids panicked. Edwin noticed they were missing one. "Hey, what happened to your cousin?" "He... Went to the bathroom." "Oh... Wait a second! There's no bathroom on this thing!" "Just drive!" Gwen frowns at the rich kid.
"Edwin!" Donovan scolded over the radio. "You know the Undersea Manta Ray is off limits!" "Grandpa, we're under attack by some robot squid creatures and we're sinking!" Edwin shouted. "Edwin, if this is some kind of-"
"It's no joke, Donovan! Look!" Max said as he ushered his friend to the window of the control room they gasped when they saw a glowing light from the sea below as several creatures swarmed up into the resort through the hole in the garage.
Water Hazard swam to the Manta Ray and used his water blades to slice the squids off. The other notices and confront the alien hero, but Water Hazard camouflages himself as they get confused and stop, just for the water ninja grabs one by the tendrils and yanks it towards him, smashing his fist straight through the metal and pulling out some parts as he then grabs 2 by their tentacles and slams them together. Just then, some water-throwing stars appear and slice through the rest of the squids as Water Hazard can be heard. "Tentacles! Why did it have to be tentacles?!
He then noticed he is surrounded but then spins rapidly and generates an intense whirlpool, sucking and throwing all the cyber squids into the rock walls as they break. He then creates his water knives and attacks the rest of the cyber squids, slicing and dicing them while throwing in some kicks. "Oh yeah! Ocean ninja power for the win!"
Meanwhile, the squids were also attacking the resort, causing the water to leak in there as well, despite the supposed titanium threads lacing the glass. "We've got to evacuate the resort!" Max said. "Overrun by aliens..." Donovan pondered. "There goes my five-star rating."
The Undersea Manta-Ray continued its trek, but it was filling up with water way too fast. "We're not going to make it back!" Edwin said as Gwen worried about where her cousin was. But just then, Water Hazard sliced off the squids from the glass. Edwin was shocked and confused. "What just happened?" He looks around, only to exclaim in surprise when Water Hazard appears in front, with a visor that covers the front of his head but allows him to still see. "Where did that thing come from?!"
"Relax..." Gwen said to calm Edwin. "Looks like he's on our side." Edwin raised his eyebrow in confusion. Water Hazard smashed through one squid as he held his hands together and generated a ball in between forcing it to change shape and fired it, turning into a large ninja throwing star, made from water as they sliced and diced through the cyber squids. "Sweet! I've got to remember that move!" The alien spoke to himself at seeing how cool and powerful Water Hazard is when he is in his element.
But just then, he noticed the watch was timing out as the symbol started blinking red. "Oh, no! Not now!" He quickly propels to the hatch as he tries to pry it open.
"There's a boat beside the platform," Donovan said as his workers gathered for evacuation. "Take it!" "No!" Max said. "I'm not going anywhere without my grandkids."
A flash of red came from the sub's opening as Ben stumbles out, breathing deeply from barely making it inside before the watch timed out as he's slightly soaked. Edwin drove the Undersea Manta-Ray towards the surface and back towards the hotel with the squids following them there as Max and Donovan ran for the garage inside the hotel.
Max looked into the water to see the sub closing in on the hotel as he put his hand up. "Get ready to close the door!" He told Donovan as he waited for the precise moment when he would be ready. Once the moment arrived, he put his hand down. "Now!" Donovan pressed the button and the door closed just as the Manta Ray entered the garage, closing directly on a squid.
Unfortunately, this wasn't enough as the squids finally broke through the glass, causing the garage and therefore, the hotel, to start to flood with sea water. This caused an alarm to sound with a red light shining down on them. "We're flooding!" Donovan shouted. "They broke through the glass!" "I knew you shouldn't have taken it!" Edwin shouted to his grandfather. "Edwin, quiet! I'm sure it has nothing to do with-" "Taken what, Donovan?" Max asked.
"Nothing. Edwin doesn't know what he's talking about!" Donovan quickly spoke out. But Edwin frowned as he spoke back. "How would you know? All you ever hear from me is what you want to hear!" That was when the squids crawled up from the Manta Ray as they realized they made it inside. "Let's go!" Max said as they all ran for the elevator as fast as they could with the squids chasing after them until they reached an elevator and they all rushed inside before the door closed behind them, leaving the squids behind. "Donovan, what is going on? Why are these 'cyber squids' after your resort?" Max asks his friend as the rich elder sighs out.
"Okay, I lied..." Donovan said. "The underwater volcano thing didn't work. The resort was doomed! I was about to become the punchline to a bad joke. Then I found this other energy source on this weird spacecraft way down below the sea. It was like nothing I'd ever seen before." "And I'd bet you anything that those aliens want it back!" Gwen said as Ben added out. "Yeah, the same ones with the underwater parking lot full of boats and planes."
They arrived at the top floor and ran outwards only to see that the flooding and squids had reached this level too, causing them to run down the hallway before they reached another room Max pressed a button that caused the door to close, blocking the water and squids as they slammed into the door. "30 years on the job and I never found out who was behind the Bermuda Triangle. And now they're coming for us!" Max mumbles to himself. They all ran away from the site before huge dents and flooding formed in the door behind them.
Soon, the staff and crew had made it back to the opening where the boats were arriving back up onto the area they moved upwards on the lift as Donovan looked upon the destruction in disappointment. "Look on the bright side, Grandpa: You still have 15 resorts worldwide." Edwin points out. Donovan then engaged the control on the lift as they started to lift it.
Suddenly, they felt the boat stall the group of 5 were confused, only to gasp in surprise as they saw massive metal tentacles rip the boat apart with the kids on one side and the grandparents on the side that were still heading up. "No!" Edwin gasped as they saw the lift fall down the shaft along with the squid. "Donovan, stop this thing!" Max shouted as Donovan shouted. "I can't!"
The kids all gasped as they saw they were traveling back down to the flooded resort. "We're going to get flattened! We're not going to make it!" Edwin cries out. "Yes, we will!" Gwen reassured. "Now put your head down and brace for impact."
Ben nods as he quickly slaps down on the core morphs into Big Chill and grabs Gwen and Edwin, flying above the water and the squids. "Hold on, guys!" Big Chill cries out as Edwin notices and gasps out. "Whoa... Who is-" Edwin asked as Gwen points out. "Just another good alien, trying to help us out." As they kept flying, the alien moth dodged the tentacles from below and even phased through some. "Look out!" Gwen and Edwin shouted as they suddenly crashed into a plume of water, falling as they crashed down into the water as they resurfaced Big Chill mumbled out. "Great! My wings are too wet to fly! Well, at least I can still swim."
"Yeah... Lucky for you, Ben." Edwin said as the alien's eyes widened. "Ben? You're mistaken. I'm Big Chill." "He's right! He's just another friendly alien." Gwen adds out. "Yeah, right! Good aliens, showing up to help us while your cousin always happens to be gone. How dumb do I look? So how do you do it?" Edwin asked. "Edwin... If the aliens are after that energy orb, it must be very important. We have to get to it first." Gwen points out. "Okay," Edwin said. "But it's on the other side of the resort." "We'll never make it through the water!" Big Chill said. "Who said anything about swimming?" Gwen asked as she spied the air ducts.
Back on the surface, a thunderstorm had hit the area and was brewing while Max and Donovin were trying to communicate for help in getting the kids out safely. Donovan groaned as he hung up the phone. "The navy's closest sub is in Key West. It'll be about a half hour before they get here." "Is there any way to communicate with the kids down there?" Max asked. "No, I already tried. The flooding must have ruined the lines."
Meanwhile, down below, the kids were sneaking through the air ducts as Gwen asked Edwin. "Edwin, there must be a faster way to get to the orb-" Gwen stated as they heard a creaking sound. "Uh-oh." The air duct's pipe suddenly gave out and came down causing them to fall back into the flooded hotel like a slide. Fortunately, they crashed into a garage that held some jet skis housed in them. "Now we're talking!" Big Chill said as Edwin got onto one while Gwen got on another. Suddenly, Big Chill was yanked under the water as Gwen gasped at their turmoil. "Ben!"
Under the water, the alien moth was face-to-face with another squid as he quickly phased through the tentacles and times out, turning human, and quickly swam up to the surface and climbed back up onto Gwen's jet ski. "Drive!" Gwen nodded at her cousin engaged the jet ski and drove away with the squid following her. Meanwhile, Edwin drove his jetski towards it while carrying an oar that he slammed into the squid and nailed it right in the eye. As it sank into the water, more cyber squids started chasing after the kids. "Thanks..." Ben said with a smile. "Thank you," Edwin said. "That was awesome." He then looked ahead and gasped. "Hey, look out!"
The cousins gasped as they saw the squids in front of them. Gwen and Edwin then engaged the controls on the jet skis and drove away from the group with a shout and a glare as they avoided all the squids with skillful ease. This continued until they eventually reached a ramp formed from the support beams of the resort. A squid then dropped down from above and grabbed onto the back of Ben and Gwen's jet ski with a glare the squid hung off the back of the jet ski as they continued, sparks flying from it as the jet ski flew off the ramp and lands on another piece of metal, knocking the squid off as they continue.
Donovan sighed as he looked at a picture of him and his grandson on a phone. "Your grandkids sure look up to you, Max..." Donovan complimented. "What's your secret?" "Well, I don't expect them to be mini versions of me," Max said. "I let them be themselves, faults and all." "You brought them here because they wanted to come? Not because you did. Am I right?" "Well, yeah. This whole trip was for them."
Donovan sighs out. "I can't remember the last time I did anything else for Edwin... that I didn't want. I just hope that they get out okay." "Hey, grandkids have a way of rising to the occasion. Plus, I don't know what I'm going to tell their parents if I show up without them." Max smiles out, having fate in Ben and Gwen.
The jet skis pulled up to the generator and Edwin pressed a button that opened it up, revealing the glowing pink energy orb nested within. "If that orb could power that whole resort, just imagine what those aliens did with it." "My guess would be stealing all those boats and planes!" Ben said to his cousin.
Edwin put his finger on his chin and then beamed up. "Maybe if we reverse the generator connections, it would turn its outward power inward!" "...Which would cause the whole resort to implode!" Gwen continued. "...With all of the aliens in it!" Ben realized with a grin. "Good thinking, Edwin!" Gwen smiles as the rich boy nods back. "Thanks! But we still need to get out of here." "I have an idea!" Ben smirks out.
The robot squids swam towards the glowing pink light from the energy orb as Edwin began working on the mechanics to reverse the orb's polarity he focused while the squids closed in on them as the rich kid was finished. "Done!" Edwin said as he engaged the controls of the jet ski and they all rushed back towards the garage.
"How much time do you think we have?" Gwen asked Edwin. "Not much." They then arrived at the old rusty ceiling submarine as the alien boy cried out. "Get in!" "That thing's your escape plan?!" Edwin asked in disbelief. "It's just for show!" "And when I'm done with it, it'll be for go!" Ben said as he activated the glove and transformed into Upgrade. He then melded with the submarine, coating all the metal with his green and black alloy as the others looked out from within.
The squids approached the energy orb as it suddenly fluctuated and pulsed out, sending out waves of energy from within that blew the squids back. That was when the camera shifted outwards to reveal the outside of the resort going up in a ring of explosions, taking out all of the aliens with it as the Upgrade-coated submarine flew outwards, propelled by the explosions as they surfaced.
The storm above dissipated, revealing sunny blue skies as Max and Donovan ran out they saw that next to the dock, the section of the ocean began to bubble up as the now normal submarine surfaced they ran outwards as kids emerged with grins as the elders smiled in relief at them being okay. "How did you get that sub to work?" Donovan asked as they all regrouped. "It hasn't run in 90 years!" "It's like I said, Donovan. Grandkids have an amazing way of rising to the occasion." Max said with a smile.
"The good news is that all the aliens are toast!" Gwen said with a smile. "The bad news is so's the resort, Grandpa..." Edwin said, but his grandpa just smiled in response. "Hey, who cares!" Donovan said, leaning down to his level. "You're all okay and that's all that matters. You'll have to fill me in on the details, Edwin." Edwin looked back at the others with a smile as he winked at them. "Most of them. And by the way, the name's Eddie, Grandpa." They both then hugged as the Tennysons all smiled at each other.
Donovan looked up to Max as he finished hugging Eddie. "Thanks. For everything." "No problem," Max said. "Well, so much for your one-of-a-kind resort, Donovin." He adds as he adjusts his cap. "Yeah well, it just gives me some time to focus on my next one. It's going up on the moon. Max, how about you and your grandkids be my first guests?" "No thanks!" The Tennysons spoke at the same time as they all laughed after.
