Years after an accident left the Digi-heroes believing Davis Motomiya had died, his friends find that he had instead been transported to a world unlike any they have seen before, causing them to travel to this world to bring their friend home. 47. Chapter 47

Back within the war council chamber of the Infinite City, TK, Mikey and the remainder of the gathered Digi-heroes and heroines of the DDF and Dark Imperium continued to watch the battle within Eiganjo upon the holographic monitors alongside the representatives of the Realms of Nexus as they waited for their reinforcements from the Digital World to arrive.

At first, those of the Digital World felt a sense of frustration at being left behind as their allies, friends, the Davises, Kari and Rika fought against the Urgothian threat, but found themselves in awe when the red haired hybrid rejoined the battle, now an Arbiter of the Light Realm and with a new partner as she fought alongside her former archenemy, the Dark Empress, a sign to those watching that the times had changed and that indeed their war between both factions of the Digital World had ended.

As Kazu was about to commenting on the need to move to Nexus with most of his friends now a part of this world, the brunette fell silent as he and the rest viewing the battle saw Shelog, the leader of the Dark Urgothians, appear before Kari and Rika, where the viewers had already witnessed the vile creature's bloodlust and now found themselves deeply worried for the Dark Empress and the newly anointed Arbiter's safety.

Watching briefly to see TK, Patamon, Mikey and Shoutmon leave the chamber in order to find out where their reinforcements were, the Conclave member returned his gaze upon the monitors as he said with a growing seriousness. "This does not bode well for either, they cannot take on Shelog alone."

Hearing a small chuckle, however, the representative of the Light Realm looked upon Azaghast, who then said with a sense of confidence. "Do not underestimate our newest Dark Lord. She is far more powerful than you may think."

'I am in agreement with Lord Azaghast.' Finubar commented, the Conclave member turning his attention upon his ally within the Light Realm as the Cyber King then said. 'I have witnessed both Lady Kamiya and Lady Nonaka in combat, especially before the latter's ascension. Both are extremely powerful and should be able to hold their own against the madness that is Shelog.'

"Let's hope it's enough." Tai remarked to himself as he continued to watch the monitors and prayed for his sister's safety as she and Rika now faced another leader of the Urgothian hordes.

As the battle raged further across Eiganjo and the protectors of Nexus continued to battle the Urgothian invaders, the five Davises, along with Faustian, the newly summoned Ravana and Ophanimon: DM all found their attention drawn to one sight in particular, to see the leader of this assault, Shelog herself, who was now confronting Kari and Rika.

However, each also found themselves locked in combat with the vile invaders, preventing them from coming to the duo's aid against the ruler of the Dark Urgothians, who kept a sadistic smile upon her face as she eyed the Dark Empress and the newly anointed Arbiter.

"Your beloved is in danger!" Imperius growled as he pushed back against a Light Urgothian legionary as he was back to back with both Light Davis and Dark Davis, growling lightly as he then offered the two champions. "Go, we will hold them back!"

"You cannot hold them back alone!" The Archon yelled in reply as he pushed down a Dark Urgothian horror, knowing that his allies would not last long without his help.

"Do not underestimate Kari or Rika either, they are far more powerful than you think." Dark Davis then remarked with a small and prideful chuckle as he beheaded a group of Urgothians that charged at him, the Shadow knowing full well the power of both his beloved and their red haired friend.

Giggling with a dark glee as she brought her bladed arms upward, Shelog expelled an inhuman shriek, before she rushed at both Kari and Rika with blinding speed, the bloodthirsty being ready to cut them down her foes before they could even blink.

However, and much to the surprise of the Dark Urgothian ruler, as well as those who were watching the pair battle for the first time, Kari and Rika easily dodged all of Shelog's strikes, the Dark Empress and the red haired Arbiter easily able to keep up with their opponent's speed, which both infuriated and delighted Shelog in the knowledge that she would have a real fight on her hands.

"Yes… YES…! Finally, foes worth killing!" The Dark Urgothian ruler shrieked with a further mad delight, laughing maniacally as her darkness seeped from out of her form and rushed toward Kari and Rika.

Taking the form of spider-like legs, the darkness of Shelog struck hard and fast, ready to skewer the pair and to end them with a painful demise.

Acting in unison and countering Shelog's attack, Kari and Rika slammed their staves into the ground before them, their actions forming a barrier of Dark Mana and Light Mana that easily blocked the attack by the shadow spears, to Shelog's emotions of frustration and intrigue.

Lowering the barrier of Darkness and of Light, the Dark Empress and the red haired hybrid then rushed forward, their blades ready to strike as the darkness around Shelog reformed into four spider-like legs from her lower torso as the Dark Urgothian ruler charged forward to meet her foes head on.

Moving together and fighting as a team, Kari and Rika leapt and dodged strikes from Shelog's shadowy legs and her claws, before parrying strikes with their blades, the two former enemies and rivals working as one as they tried to take down their foe, where Kari blocked a strike from Shelog's right arm blade, which allowed Rika to leap into the fray and to then slice the arm clean off with her light blade, an action that caused the Dark Urgothian to shriek in pain for a moment as she staggered back a little, the severed arm dissolving into the black blood.

Remembering the battle with Velgoth, however, neither Kari nor Rika were shocked or surprised when Shelog's arm merely grew back and regenerated, an action that caused the Dark Urgothian to laugh insanely as her darkness then reformed along her being, changing into four shadows wings as she then took to the skies.

Refusing to allow their foe any form of combat advantage however, Kari and Rika took to the skies themselves, where the Dark Empress brought her weaponry together before her as her darkness grew, splitting off to form six shadowy skulls that circled around her, while the shadow of a Dragon's skull took shape above her head, each gathering Dark Mana within their jaws, which were then unleashed as a powerful blast toward Shelog.

In response, the Dark Urgothian ruler closed her shadowy wings around her form to shield herself from the attack, laughing wickedly to the pain she felt as the dark energy blast tore through her wings and burnt off some of her skin, but left her mostly intact.

Retracting her damaged wings as her body quickly healed, Shelog was about to counterattack, before she noticed that she was now surrounded by an army of light fox spirits, each of which were gathering Light Mana within their mouths as the spirits prepared for their own attack.

Aiming her staff toward Shelog, Rika focused and unleashed her attack as the fox spirits fired their energy toward the Dark Urgothian leader.

However, much to Kari and Rika's surprise, Shelog continued to laugh like a mad woman in response.

Moving at near blinding speeds, Shelog used her arm blades to deflect each and every one of the Light Mana blasts sent her way, the reflected attacks struck down other Urgothians and blasted apart several buildings below in the process.

Before either the Dark Empress or the red haired Arbiter could react, Shelog then closed the distance between them, the vile being grabbing the pair by the throat as she rushed back down to the streets of Eiganjo, where she slammed Kari and Rika into the ground and dragged their struggling bodies a few feet before throwing them forward, the action causing the pair to skid across the ground for a moment before they regained their footing.

"Come, come, little ones, there is still so much more fun to be had!" Shelog said with a dark delight as she crossed her blades and remained battle ready, before she added with an insane smile. "Show me that you are worthy of dying at my hands!"

Growling somewhat toward Shelog's taunting, Kari swung Darkbringer and sent forth a wave of darkness, but growled with a further frustration to see the Dark Urgothian ruler merely jumped over the attack.

However, and using the combination of Kari's attack and Shelog's arrogance to her advantage, a tactic she had long learnt during her years as a Digimon Tamer and fighting in the war, Rika then leapt into the air, brought her sword before her and summoned a series of talismans made of pure light, which then shot toward Shelog.

Landing upon various parts of her body and infusing themselves to her, Shelog instantly felt the talismans' effects as her body then came crashing to the ground, the seals upon the light parchments increasing the gravity around the vile being's form as they tried to restrain her and allow Rika and Kari a chance to strike Shelog down for good.

But before the Dark Empress or the red haired Arbiter could react, Shelog began to laugh maniacally, where Rika watched in horror as the talismans burned away from the darkness of Urgoth, giving Shelog her freedom once again.

Quick to her feet and returning to battle, Shelog charged at Kari and Rika, who found themselves once again on the defensive as they dodged and parried their foe's strikes, the pair groaning somewhat as they tried to analyze their foe and find any points of weakness within her madness.

As Kari and Rika continued to dodge further onslaught brought on by Shelog, the Dark Empress defended herself as she brought both Darkbringer and Voidrender up and used her weaponry to block another strike from her foe's bladed arms and her spider-like appendages.

Growling lightly, Kari could feel the strain pushing against her, while Shelog continued to smile upon the brunette with a dark and sinister glee.

'This is becoming pathetic!' A voice then echoed within Kari's mind, their remark causing the Dark Empress to widen her eyes as she recognized it as one of the Obscarian rulers that resided within her power.

Blinking once, the former Digidestined of Light once again found herself in the mental plane the Emperors and Empress of the ancient Dark Elven empire resided in and found the same four beings who had judged her fit to carry on the legacy of their civilization now seated upon their thrones before her.

"If you don't mind, I am a little busy here!" Kari said with a small growl, part of her hoping that Shelog would not take advantage of the situation as the brunette was left to wonder how much time was truly passing in the outer world.

"Yes, and you are performing horribly!" One of the Emperors, the one who had been the most critical toward the fallen Kamiya then remarked with a growing frustration. "You are allowing that horrendous abomination of Nexus' mis-forgotten past to make a mockery out of you!"

"You are relying too much on the Dark Mana of Nexus to combat this Urgothian fiend, but you are much, much more than a Dark Lord of this world." One of the Empresses then commented, her words causing Kari to pause as the realization of what the Obscarians were trying to tell her came into full view within her mind.

"You are more than a Dark Lord of Nexus, you are more than the Dark Empress of the Dark Imperium, you are Empress of the Obscarian Empire! Take our power and show these abominations the true meaning of the Darkness!" The second Emperor then bellowed with a firm authority within his voice, before Kari blinked and found herself still blocking Shelog's strike, finding that no time had passed since the Dark Empress entered her mindscape.

Closing her eyes and concentrating, Kari realized that even though she finally had the full power of the Obscarians under her control and at her command, the former Digidestined of Light had yet to fully use such power within Nexus, mostly out of respect for those who are friends and allies of her beloveds and her desire to show this world that she was not a threat to them.

But Shelog and the rest of Urgoth's children were a threat, a threat to her beloveds, to those they cared for and protected, as well as a threat to the future Kari desired to have with her Davises, and the Dark Empress would not let them stand in the way of all she had worked for.

Smiling gleefully, Shelog's joy then turned to confusion as she felt a surge of energy flow through the Dark Empress.

Opening her eyes and revealing they were now glowing with a dark purple energy, Kari expelled a mighty battle cry, pushing the Dark Urgothian ruler back with a powerful burst of energy that caused the fiend to skid a few feet across the ground, regaining her footing as Shelog's own darkness dissipated a little.

Having shielded her own eyes from the sudden blast, Rika then brought her arm down and looked upon Kari with a shocked expression as she saw a tornado of dark energy now circling around the brunette, with a shadowy dragon's head forming near the top of the vortex as it expelled a deafening and mighty roar.

Shock and awe continuing to fill the red haired Arbiter to the sight before her, Rika could still sense the Dark Mana within Kari, but it was currently mixing with and slightly overshadowed by a darkness the hybrid had become familiar with in the past five years, the darkness of the Obscarians, which now felt ten times the strength it was since the last time she and Kari had fought one another.

"What is this Darkness?!" Imperius questioned in shock as he, the five Davises and most of the combatants felt the power within Kari being unleashed, a power that unnerved the Arch Arbiter of the Host of Valour.

Hearing the Shadow chuckling, however, Imperius felt his nervousness grow as he faced the Dark Lord, who was still within his Mana Form as Dark Davis said with a sense of pride. "Finally, she is using her Obscarian power to its fullest."

"Her vitals are optimal and her energy levels, though high, are well within her ability to control now." Water Davis then remarked as he observed Kari briefly in order to make sure that his beloved would now be ok using the Obscarian power without any harm befalling her as Fire Davis, Nature Davis and Light Davis smiled to themselves within their own Mana Forms, each knowing that now, the tide of the battle would turn in Nexus' favour.

"A power that once helped seal Nexus away from Creation will now fight for its future." Auriel commented with a growing hope within her tone, her words calming and even inspiring the Light Realm forces who had become weary of the dark and dreadful power they now sensed.

Keeping her glowing eyes upon Shelog as two of the shadowy spider-like legs that emerged from her flowing cape vanished and were replaced with a pair of shadow-like wings similar to what she had used as merely the Dark Empress, Kari then brought Voidrender before her being, where she then tapped the bottom of the staff onto the ground, an action that caused several dark portals to open up behind her, much to the surprise of all watching.

From the vortexes emerged a massive legion, shadowy warriors clad in black armour with gold trimmings and spikes, an aesthetic those who had seen the Dark Ark and the Obscarians in the past recognized, along with Shadow Dragons and mounted warriors who rode upon shadowy steeds, which began to march past the Dark Empress and toward the Urgothians pouring through the openings within the city's wall and the Breach beyond.

"The Obscarian Shadow Legion." Azaghast remarked in awe from the war council room as all present looked upon the sight in shock and disbelief, where the ancient Dark Lord then informed those present. "Immortal warriors summoned by the Dark Elves in their darkest of hours, returning to the shadows when their need has passed. This battle has just become interesting."

Seeing new foes to kill, the Dark Urgothians rushed toward the line of Shadow Warriors as the Light Urgothians marched in line behind their brethren, where the dark horrors of Urgoth practically ran into a woodchipper as the shadow warriors moved with precision, cutting down the vile beasts with quick and fluid motions, before breaking ranks and rushing to battle the oncoming and more disciplined Light Urgothian legionaries.

As the Shadow Legion clashed with their new foes, those watching the fight briefly saw as one of the shadow warriors was stabbed through the chest by a dark Urgothian horror, where the warriors armour and form merely dissolved into shadows before his attacker was skewered by several of his kin.

Enraged and delighted toward this new development, Shelog refocused her attention upon the Dark Empress, the Dark Urgothian ruler clashing her bladed arms together as she prepared to continue her dance of death with the former Digidestined.

However, and faster than even the vile fiend could see, Kari appeared before Shelog and slammed the tip of Voidrender into the Dark Urgothian's face, the overwhelming strength placed into the attack sending her flying backwards and slamming through several buildings in the process.

Before the abomination could regain her footing, the Dark Empress then appeared behind Shelog in the blink of an eyes, with Darkbringer and Voidrender turning into shadows and melting into Kari's form, a powerful dark energy started to course through her hands, which she then slammed down upon Shelog's form, sending the Dark Urgothian ruler crashing into the ground below with a powerful and devastating shockwave.

Sensing that their Mistress was in danger, a number of Dark Urgothians quickly and instinctively moved to attack the Dark Empress, their retaliation was brought to a quick halt however as the brunette merely brought her right hand up and snapped her fingers, causing her attackers to quickly dissolve into shadows as they were wiped from existence by the sheer power of the Dark Empress.

Landing back upon the ground, Kari then closed her eyes and focused briefly as she sent forth some of her energy toward her two partners, who both felt their energies increase from the power of the Dark Empress.

"This… this is new… and so much better…!" Ophanimon: DM said with a growing might as she felt the darkness flowing through her, before AscendedVeedramon looked on as his beloved was then cocooned in a sphere of darkness and Data particles.

"Ophanimon: Darkness Mode, Slide Evolution…!" The former Digimon of Light declared with a growing might as the dark cocoon grew in size, before it then exploded with a powerful force, one that forced AscendedVeedramon to shield his eyes from the sheer power expelled.

When the shockwave vanished, the Light Mana infused form of Veemon then looked to see Gatomon's new Mega Level form, which showed off a creature that at first reminded the AscendedVeedramon of Magnadramon, but her new form appeared to be something more and much bigger.

Retaining a draconic appearance much similar to Magnadramon's, the increased dark power from Kari had left behind a more feral, wild and ferocious form of her second Mega form.

Replacing the pink feathers Magnadramon held within her appearance, the giant dragon's body consisted of deep black scales which ran down from her chest and along her arms and her legs.

A set of gigantic wings adorned the dragon Digimon's back, before she spread her wings out, released another powerful surge of dark purple energy as the Digimon gave an earth shattering inducing roar, announcing with a powerful might in her tone. "DarkTiamatmon!"

Though in awe by the sight of this large and powerful dark dragon, AscendedVeedramon then looked to see a large number of Dark and Light Urgothian fliers heading in his and DarkTiamatmon's direction, the action causing the Dark Dragon Digimon to face her new foes and to bellow with a further might and power. "Dreaded Flare!"

Unleashing a powerful stream of black flames from her maw, DarkTiamatmon easily destroyed her attackers within her inferno, their bodies dissolving into ashes and burning their Black Blood into nothingness, before the dark dragon and her Light Mana infused companion rejoined the battle with a renewed sense of duty and might.

At the same time, Faustian felt the power of the Obscarians now flowing through him and giving him a newfound power as his body changed as well, the Shadow Demon gaining an extra set of arms that were made of shadows, while a pair of black feathered wings emerged from his back, which gave Faustian an appearance that rivalled Belezar's in terms of power and intimidation.

In response to his new power, Faustian wasted no time in testing his abilities as he stretched forth his shadowy hands as darkness formed beneath a number of Urgothians on the ground below, the horrors shrieking in panic as they were dragged into the darkness by ghostly hands and brought into oblivion.

Smiling to herself to see what her powers had down for her partners, Kari kept her focus as she sensed Shelog, the Dark Urgothian ruler lunging out of the dust cloud formed by her impact as a massive wave of darkness formed behind the vile being, which transformed into spears she planned on using to skewer the Dark Empress and to end her painfully.

But just as Shelog was mere inches from striking at the brunette, the Dark Urgothian found her body restrained as Kari held her left hand back behind her, a powerful force holding Shelog back as she struggled to break free, before looking to see the Dark Empress turn and face her, the former Digidestined of Light's eyes blazing with a dark purple light as both Darkbringer and Voidrender reformed within her hands.

Bringing both weapons before her and pointing Darkbringer toward Shelog, the darkness around Kari transformed into the head of a massive dragon, which was accompanied alongside two smaller dragon heads and a series of smaller skulls, all of which began to gather dark energy within them, energy that they unleashed as a powerful blast toward the Dark Urgothian ruler.

Wrapping her own darkness around her form as a means to protect herself, Shelog expelled what sounded like a mixture of a painfilled cry and insane laughter as her darkness was incinerated by the powerful attack, before her own body was sent flying backward, sent crashing through several buildings and eventually slamming into the city's wall, all of which left a burning trail of devastation in her wake.

All around the battlefield and from the war council chamber within the Infinite City, many were in awe and shock by the power Kari had now displayed, with the members of the DDF especially glad that the Dark Empress was no longer their enemy, while the five Davises each held a continued pride for their beloved and her feat of strength.

Approaching the dust cloud where Shelog had crashed into, Kari remained on alert as she watched a shambling figure emerge from the dust, the horrid and wretched form of the Dark Urgothian's body after the devastation caused by Kari's attack, where the Dark Empress watched as her enemy's body regenerate at an alarming rate, her broken limbs snapping back into place and her skin reforming as the Black Blood quickly healed Shelog's wounds, where the Dark Urgothian expelled an insane chuckle, loving her current position and that she had worthy prey.

Staking a step forward and ready to continue fighting, Shelog then shrieked in pain and annoyance as several spears of light, each resembling Rika's staff, slammed into her form, the spears pinning the vile fiend to the ground as she struggled to release herself from her newly restrained position.

Turning to her right, Kari watched as Rika landed beside her, where the red haired Arbiter commented with a sly smirk. "Just because you now get to show off your full power doesn't mean I'm going to let you fight alone."

Smirking behind her face mask in response toward Rika's sense of friendship, Kari nodded toward her friend's words, before the pair watched as Shelog shattered the light spears and returned to her feet, just as a pair of Light Urgothian angels flew down and floated on either side of the mad fiend.

"Enough of this game, Shelog, retrieve the Catalyst at once!" Elezar said through her two puppets, which then took off back toward the battlefield as the Light Urgothian ruler's words not only being heard by Kari and Rika, but by those watching from the Infinite City, as well as the five Davises, who were all shocked to the knowledge that their enemy was looking for something, something that was no doubt crucial toward their plans.

Pointing Darkbringer toward Shelog as a sign of intimidation and wanting answers, Kari questioned with a threatening tone. "What is this Catalyst?"

In response, Kari narrowed her eyes as Shelog once again expelled an insane giggle, before the Dark Urgothian ruler looked upon the Dark Empress and told her with a dark glee. "Silly, silly little thing… YOU are the Catalyst!"

Upon hearing Shelog's confession, all five Davises, their partners, Faustian, DarkTiamatmon and AscendedVeedramon turned their gaze upon Kari, Rika and their opponent, while the red haired Arbiter quickly looked upon the Dark Empress with her own shock, confusion and concerns.

Shocked herself, Kari was about to demand more answers from Shelog, before a mechanical sound, one very familiar to the Dark Empress, caught her and Rika's attention as they looked up and toward the wall, watching as a series of metal tentacles latched onto one side of the wall and hoisted someone upward to the top, where Kari saw the Urgothian she met in her vision, Gizar, the Water Urgothian ruler, now looking down upon her.

From the Breach, meanwhile, a legion of Water Urgothians and their constructs surged from the vortex, rushing into the battle with blinding speed, speed that even forced the Shadow Legion on the defensive as they adjusted to the presence of these newer foes.

"I TOLD YOU WE CAN BRING DOWN THE VEIL! TOGETHER, WE SHALL OPEN NEXUS TO ALL CREATION AND BRING URGOTH'S DESIGNS UPON ALL THAT EXISTS!" Gizar declared with a maddening joy, before detaching himself from the wall and flying downward in an attempt to grab the Dark Empress and bring her back to Urgoth's realm so that their great plan could commence.

Before the Water Urgothian ruler could reach his prize, however, a blue energy barrier appeared before him which forced Gizar to come to a sudden halt.

Turning, Gizar looked upward to see Water Davis floating down to the ground, the Arch-Savant still within his Mana Form as he glared upon the vile Urgothian scientist.

"You will not touch her." The water variant of Davis declared, showing a rare sign of anger within his voice as he glared upon the Water Urgothian ruler, who expelled an angered shriek in response, before dozens of flying Water Urgothians then rushed down from the skies in order to strike down the Arch-Savant.

Seeing the vile forces of the Water Urgothians rushing toward Water Davis, Cybrian landed behind his partner and unleashed a barrage of plasma blasts upon his foes, while AscendedVeedramon swooped down from the skies so he too could engage the vile beings that were trying to attack the water variant of his partner and best friend.

Sensing his Digimon partner approaching, Water Davis brought up his right hand, where the D-3 that was within Light Davis' possession then teleported and manifested into the Arch-Savant's outstretched hand, the screen shining brightly as Water Mana was poured into the Digivice.

Sensing the Water Mana, allowing it to flow through his being and to grant him a newer form of Digivolution, AscendedVeedramon was soon cocooned in a sphere of blue energy and Data particles as he declared with might. "AscendedVeedramon, Slide Evolution…!"

With a powerful outburst of Water Mana, the sphere then dissipated and revealed a new Mega form for the Digimon of Miracles, one made from the power of the Water Mana which now flowed through his entire being.

Resembling UlforceVeedramon, the newly formed Digimon had blue energy flowing where his golden trims would normally be, while his wings were constructed purely out of Data particles, giving this newer form of UlforceVeedramon a cybernetic appearance, who then declared with a monotone voice. "CyberVeedramon…"

Looking upon a swarm of cybernetic Urgothian jellyfish that were heading his way and now acting in battle quite similar to the logistical side of his partner's water variant, CyberVeedramon held both of his arms forward as Data particles surrounded his hands and formed a pair of energy cannons, while within his new eyes, the cyber knight Digimon concentrated as he scanned his surroundings and locked onto each and every one of the approaching enemies with calculated precision.

"Plasma Assault…" CyberVeedramon announced, remaining fairly focused as he unleashed the barrage of plasma energy blasts, which shot throughout the area and struck down all the Urgothians heading his way before they could even counter his assault.

"Plasma Sabres…" CyberVeedramon then declared, the cyber knight Digimon remaining battle ready as his arms then morphed into plasma blades, before the Water Mana infused form of Veemon rushed down and joined Cybrian as they worked as one to hold back the advancing Water Urgothian forces.

'He'd better not start talking like that in bed…' DarkTiamatmon thought to herself, the dark dragon Digimon impressed by her beloved's new form, alongside the clear strength he possessed, but frowned at his seeming lack of emotion, much similar to the Arch-Savant at times, before the former Digimon of Light shook her head and refocused herself on the battle around her.

As his partners kept the Water Urgothians back, Water Davis focused his attention upon Gizar, the mad Urgothian scientist charging at the Arch-Savant with his claws drawn, forcing Water Davis on the defensive as he dodged Gizar's onslaught of claws and tendrils.

"You risk everything on a theory?!" The Arch-Savant questioned as he fired an energy blast toward Gizar, who easily moved his body to dodge the attack, before sending his tendrils forward in an attempt to skewer his foe, watching as Water Davis phased in and out of reality to dodge the strikes.

"IT IS NOT A THEORY, IT IS REALITY, A REALITY ONLY WE HAVE THE COURAGE TO MAKE REAL!" Gizar declared as blue energy gathered within his mouth, energy he sent forth in the form of a powerful energy blast, an action that caused the Arch-Savant to form an energy barrier before his being in order to block the attack as the Water Urgothian ruler added with a dark joy. "SOON, WE SHALL BE FREE OF THIS PRISON, AND ALL OF CREATION WILL BE OURS!"

"The multiverse does not exist to serve you." Water Davis retaliated as he pushed the energy barrier forward and sent forth the energy, which cancelled out Gizar's attack, before it rushed toward the mad Urgothian, who moved out of the way as several of his tendrils were incinerated in the counterattack.

Watching as his limbs quickly regenerated, however, Gizar looked upon his opponent and said with a dark and sinister pride. "NO, IT EXISTS TO SERVE URGOTH'S EXPERIMENTS!"

Unleashing another maddening shriek, Gizar charged toward Water Davis once again, the Arch-Savant countering and fighting the Water Urgothian ruler with all he had in order to make sure he could never get his hands on Kari, less not only would Nexus perish, but the rest of the Multiverse with it.

All around the city, the battle for Eiganjo, with Water Davis keeping Gizar occupied as CyberVeedramon and Cybrian aided the forces of Nexus and the Obscarian Shadow Legion in driving back the Water Urgothian reinforcements, while Fire Davis, Light Davis, Nature Davis and Dark Davis continued to lead the assault against the rest of the Children of Urgoth swarming throughout the city.

At the same time, Kari and Rika continued to battle Shelog, the Dark Urgothian ruler now on the defensive as she assessed the Dark Empress' power and tried to find a way to capture her without damaging the brunette… at least not too much.

However, it appeared as though Elezar was the one to lose her patience as she spoke through all the Light Urgothians upon the battlefield and declared with annoyance and superiority. "Enough of this, call forth the Domini!"

Hearing the Light Urgothian ruler's words, the five Davises and their allies of Nexus each held expressions of shock and dread as Shelog, Gizar and most of the remaining Urgothians then began to shriek loudly toward the skies above.

It was then, and as though in response to this action, that three more Breaches opened around the main vortex outside of the city, one in the sky above and the other two alongside the main portal as a sense of dread gripped the hearts of Nexus' defenders.

"Domini?" Haru questioned, his tone of curiosity and concern as he looked around the war council chamber and toward the representatives, who shared the same sense of fear and concern upon the faces of those who could express the emotions.

"They are the closest things the Urgothians have to the Dragon Gods of Nexus." Ainz explained in reply as he turned to face those newer to Nexus, continuing as he then said. "Like the rulers of the Urgothians, each Dominus is a fragment of Urgoth's will made manifest, each a powerful force that would take the combined efforts of all the realms to bring down."

"However, to this date, our forces have only needed to handle one Dominus at a time, and now, they must face three at once." Queen Cerine remarked with her own concerns, her words allowing those present to understand just how dire the situation was for those protecting Eiganjo.

From the first vortex, the Dominus of Darkness emerged, where Kari and Rika looked to see a vile being whose size more than rivalled that of VemonMyotismon's own.

Its appearance consisted of a skeleton's torso and four bone-like arms, while a spinal cord ran down to the ground and acted almost like a snake's tail for the creature to slither upon and to traverse its environment.

Within its upper right hand, the abomination held a staff made of bone that had large spiked nails emerging from the top, while a series of banners rested upon the beast's shoulders, each with Urgothian script written upon them, a sight that barely distracted from the Dominus' face, a skeletal face which had a split jaw and a single eye socket that glowed with a dark red light.

Taking in its sights, to see its enemies, the monster expelled a fearsome and mighty shriek that chilled those defending the city to their cores.

Out of the next Breach, the Dominus of Water emerged, the fiend resembling a massive blue eye surrounded by silver spikes and a series of tentacles as the creature hovered through the air, its gaze falling upon the city and its protectors, who each sensed the powerful energy within the Dominus' twisted form.

Finally, and emerging from the Breach in the sky, was the Dominus of Light, a being with a humanoid head with no mouth and torso attached to a horrid construct, one with a series of mouths running along its frame and ending at a larger mouth at the centre of the beast.

Sensing the great power within the trio of Domini and knowing that they had to contend with Shelog and Gizar as well, Kari, Rika, the Davises and the rest of the defenders of Eiganjo prepared to defend the city, no matter the cost.

Author's note: The battle for Eiganjo continues, and while Kari has given the forces of Nexus the upper hand, the heroes have learned what the Urgothians are after and have unleashed their greatest weapons in order to claim it. How will this battle end? Stay tuned as the adventure continues.
