Inkaliber: Welcome back everyone! I'm happy that despite the short length of the previous chapter it was still well received. As a bit of a sneak peak, the connection between Jazz and Jason will be important after the Liar arc of the story.
Danny: Let's just hope you don't actually ship my sister with that guy. Doing it in the story's fine and all but I'd rather vet a guy before I let Jazz date them. The Johnny 13 incident comes to mind.
Inkaliber: Oh trust me. You'll get to vet him when… No. No-no-no-no! Why do people keep randomly popping up in my studio!?
Danny: Before you get mad, some guy called Deadpool found us out in town. He said something about temporal mitosis and knowing that he should have skipped the fifth chimichanga he had for breakfast. He brought us here since you'd be the guy to handle the situation.
Deadpool: You're welcome! I didn't want you to be surprised and mad!
Inkaliber: I'm already both, you nimrod!
Deadpool: Oh. Sorry!
Danny: If it's a bad time we can just…
Inkaliber: No. No. You're good. I'm just mad at the universe for throwing things at me that I can't rewrite or fix in a snap. Let me get to some reviews then I'll see what's going on.
Fregreg- Glad you like the chapter. A match between Jazz and Marinette would be pretty epic. As for the username list, I separate usernames into where they are found. If the usernames are not found in a server, they will go into an "other" category. I hope that clears things up.
Wingd_Knight- You've given me a lot to answer, lol. Looks like I'll have to double up my response. Here we go.
Yeah, when the chapter flow had Jen call the cops on Alya and Lila I just knew I had to follow up with that moment. Alya is normally a good person, but she's been strung along by the manipulative vrăjitoare. She has a lot of her own mess to pay for, if it's even possible that is. It is really important to keep power scaling in mind for a story like this, especially since I've introduced awakening. Danny and Chat are always on my mind when it comes to this.
Yeah this one kinda gave me those vibes too. At first it felt weird that the story flow would stop so soon, but this is kinda the start of Jazz and Jason's own arc. I hope that if this does come to a deeper relationship for Jazz and Jason, I can write it in a non-icky way for you. I can definitely guarantee you that the things you're looking forward to will pop up in spades throughout the entire story. It'll just take a bit of time.
The_Keeper_of_Worlds- Jazz would be pretty safe at this point. Danny and Jason would make "we take this to our graves" buddies. Glad I could create the right feels for these chapters.
PFN- Glad that you liked it.
glennish1966- Glad you like it so much! Who knows the identity of this Kimiko? Here's more for ya!
AlexDiAngelo- You'll just have to see, won't you?
Mace- Yeah. This one felt like it was going to be a rather short one, though I was surprised by how short it actually was. Those are some interesting suggestions.
N3ffy- Lots and lots of stars!
JackInqu13- I'm glad you like the story so far. I have a lot of fun planning out the friendship of this duo. I hope the same upon you, so enjoy this new chapter!
Omni-Trickery- Huh. Guess that means I've traded one square for another, lol. It will really be funny when EVERYONE realizes that they have a connection to the Waynes. So far only Marinette, Danny, and Tucker know about this connection. As for Billy Batson, while that is an interesting idea his powers do turn him into an adult in order for him to use them.
Rocky- First off, welcome to the story. Alya will definitely have to work hard if she ever does apologize. The path to redemption would be hard for her.
Inkaliber: That should be the last of them. Now I have to go deal with that situation. Jules, can you do the disclaimer?... Jules? Hey, where's Jules?
Chloe: She's currently hiding from Danny, like a girl with a school crush. I think this story has given her romantic fantasies. Rose is currently trying to get her to come out and say hi.
Inkaliber: I better hurry then. Could you take care of the disclaimer? This could take a while.
Chloe: Okay. The author don't own Miraculous, Danny Phantom, Marvel, or DC. He does own any original characters, concepts, creatures, and places that work their way into the story unless stated otherwise.

Danny grinned ear from ear as he messaged Juleka, doing so hidden behind his propped up textbook. He was currently in the middle of a study group, intent on getting a better grade in math. It was the only subject where he couldn't consistently get A's in so far, and he wanted to break that streak. Of course, this part was so boring that he figured it wouldn't hurt to dm his latest crush. He heard someone clear their throat, prompting him to look up and realize that all eyes were on him.
"If this is boring you, Danny, then maybe you can answer the question?" prompted a rather nerdy student. "The one on the board." Danny took one look at the board before looking back to his hidden phone.
"Gravity times sine is the answer." Spat the ghost hero. The others at the table looked to him in utter shock. The nerd who called him out pushed up his glasses, unaware what the distracted boy just said.
"Maybe the reason for your uneasy grade is…" The nerd blinked before looking at the problem again. "T… that answer is correct. How'd you know?" Danny shrugged as he looked to the problem again. He then looked to the others as he secretly used his free hand to phase his phone back into his pocket.
"In the equation, mass cancels out. That just leaves you with gravity times sine." A few of the other kids looked at him like he grew a second head, some of which were at other tables. It was clear that most of them were having trouble understanding the problem. Before he could be swamped with questions, the bell began to ring.
He closed his book as he nervously chuckled. "Sounds like the school's closing for the day. I gotta… get home. Glad we could get some studying in… heh." Danny quickly left the room, shuffling as fast as he could.
He opened his locker to collect his stuff, surprised that Sidney wasn't there to greet him. He quickly stuffed his curriculum in his bag before shutting the locker door. He walked down the halls as he passed by some popular girls.
"Can you believe that Johnny is back in town?" asked one of the girls. "You know, the guy with the number 13 on his bike?" Danny immediately jerked to a halt as the girls passed him by. He quickly ran into a broom closet before turning intangible, stealthily following behind them. The second girl shook her head in response.
"No way!" cried the redhead. "I heard he was one of the sweetest guys. Of course, he also turned out to be one of the biggest players. Still, he made me feel special." The brunette of the duo sighed in annoyance.
"Well he wasn't very sweet to me. I invited him to see a movie, but he told me to buzz off." The redhead gasped in response, Danny frowning at the same time.
"No way! He never says no to pretty girls like us." The brunette shook her head in response.
"Apparently he and some chick he's dating are doing something in town tonight. Either he's on the straight and narrow now or it was bad timing." Danny stopped following them as he tried to process the news. If Johnny and his girlfriend, Kitty, were up to something then he needed to find out what. He quickly returned to the broom closet, returning to normal as he walked out.
He quickly pulled his phone back out as he began to message Juleka. He originally had plans with her but his hero life was calling him. He just hoped she wouldn't be too mad.
GhostWatcher: Hey Jules.
Change of plans.
Some of my enemies are planning something tonight and I need to find out what.
I'm so sorry for bailing on you.
LadyTigress16: It's fine Danny.
I can understand how chaotic the life of a hero can be.
Just be careful, alright?
GhostWatcher: No problem.
Sam and Tuck will have my back.
Have a good night Jules.
LadyTigress16: You too, Phantom. (1)
Danny couldn't help the blush and grin that popped up on his face. It was nice having someone else in the know that was okay with his hero life. Sure he had the others but… this just felt special. Speaking of, Danny allowed his cheeks to cool off as he saw Sam and Tucker talking by the entrance. A frown came to his face as he approached the duo.
"Guys. I hope you're free tonight. Johnny and Kitty are back in town."
Later
After telling his parents that he was heading out to hang out with Sam and Tucker, as well as informing Jazz of the actual situation, Danny found the right moment to fly away from FentonWorks. He had a set destination in mind to meet Sam and Tucker at. They planned to stakeout while waiting for Johnny and Kitty to arrive, Sam providing tech and snacks that they'd need. He really hoped that he could get done with this soon so that he could try to make up some time with Jules. He was actually hoping to talk with her tonight.
"Over here Danny!" cried the voice of Tucker. Danny cut off his train of thought as he looked down to see his two friends setting up a fake picnic at a nearby park bench. Tucker was waving at a nearby grove of trees, signaling him that it was safe to land. The ghost hero quickly turned intangible before lowering into the trees. He soon ran out of the miniature forest in his human form, huffing as he did so.
"Hey guys." Greeted Danny. "Everything set up?" Sam nodded as she pulled out some binoculars from her bag.
"Binoculars with thermal vision so that we can see the void they leave or the flames of Johnny's bike, a regular thermos with some hot chocolate because we're not old enough to drink coffee, disguises in case we need to follow more directly, and the agreeable snacks of popcorn and pretzels." Listed off the eccentric goth. "All we need now is a Fenton Thermos for the two lovebirds to share." Danny grinned as he pulled out the required item. They were about to get started when Tucker began to reach into his backpack. He pulled out some sticks of beef jerky, a grin on his face.
"And I brought the man's snack of beef jerky if anyone wanted any." Added the slightly muscular geek. Sam gave him a scowl as Danny shook his head with a disappointed smile. "What?" With no one saying anything else, the trio quickly began their stakeout.
There were a few spats amongst the group, such as Sam getting mad at Tucker for accidentally shoving the beef jerky in her face, but the night mostly went by uneventfully. They soon ran out of snacks as they continued to wait for the ghost couple. Tucker took another drink of hot cocoa, only for it to empty before he could be satisfied. "Are you sure they were talking about the right Johnny?" Danny groaned as he rubbed his temples.
"I'm pretty sure Johnny 13 is the only Johnny with the number 13 on his bike in town." Reassured the halfa. "I'd rather not take any chances with our luck. He and Kitty could be up to something big, and big usually means bad when it comes to ghosts." Sam sighed as she rolled her eyes, only to scowl as she saw something. She cleared her throat, getting the guys' attention.
"They're here." Revealed the goth, her words proven by Danny's ghost senses going off. The trio soon assumed their positions as they tried to get a better look. Soon a motorcycle with the number 13 encrusted in the color silver screeched to a halt. It looked like it had fresh maintenance, its chassis and exposed engine glistening in the moonlight. What caught the groups' attention was the passengers riding the bike.
The driver was a guy with pale-white skin, short blond hair that looked rather greasy, green eyes, freckles on his cheeks and a hint of stubble on his chin. He wore a long gray jacket with a white shirt underneath and the sleeves pushed up, black pants, and gray boots. He also carried two belts, a green-and-gray one worn around his waist and a gray studded belt that hangs down his hip. He was accessorized with a green skull necklace, black fingerless biker gloves, and a green-and-gold ring worn on his left hand. This was Johnny 13, the guy the girls at school were talking about.
Sitting behind him was a girl with pale greenish-white skin, shaggy green hair, red eyes, thick eyeliner, purple lipstick, and eyeshadow. She wore a black cropped tank top, a red jacket, a red skirt, green tights, fishnet stockings, and black high-heeled boots. She was accessorized with a green pendant, a purple scarf, and a green-and-gold ring. This was Kitty, Johnny's girlfriend. It was clear to the observant citizen that these two were ghosts, but few in this town were as observant as the trio currently stalking them.
The trio quickly packed up their fake picnic as they tried to move closer, doing their best not to be seen. They hid behind a set of trees as Kitty suddenly looked their way. The ghost girl sighed as she leaned forward onto her guy.
"Can't we just go now, Johnny?" questioned Kitty. "I don't want them to find us." Danny frowned from his spot, the duo being clearly audible from his hiding spot. That sounded rather suspicious to him. He heard Johnny sigh as he shook his head.
"Hey, the less trouble we make the more likely we can avoid Phantom today." Reassured the blonde ghost. "So what if they find us? Let's just take tonight to enjoy time, just the two of us." Kitty sounded her interest as she hugged the biker tighter. Soon the traffic light they were waiting at turned green, allowing them to move on as intended.
The trio soon popped their heads out as they watched the duo riding at the speed limit, or at least five above. It was baffling to see the rambunctious lovers doing anything by the book. Sam frowned as she stepped out, putting her hands on her hips.
"Okay, they're definitely up to something." Commented the Goth. "They must have seen us and decided to play it safe." Danny shook his head in denial.
"My ghost senses were a bit off this time, but that doesn't exactly prove your point Sam." Denied Danny. "Regardless, we'll need to be fast in order to catch up to them." Tucker frowned as he put his stuff in his backpack.
"I know what that means." Sighed the geek. Danny turned back into Phantom as he tried to grab both Sam and Tucker. He yelped as a zap came from Tucker.
"Are you kidding me!? I told you to lose that shirt already and get a new one! That hurt man! Seriously!?" Tucker chuckled as he shrugged.
"Sorry man. I seriously don't know what's going on." Sam noticed Tucker look off to the side, frowning as her paranoia began to take over. Before anything else could be said, Danny successfully grabbed his friends, carrying them into the air as they followed the biker and his girl. They had to hide on top of buildings a few times as Kitty took glances back, but there were no close calls as far as they knew.
Soon they found themselves waiting on top of a building as Kitty and Johnny came to a stop. The duo were walking into an ice cream parlor, Johnny holding the door open for his girlfriend. The Amity trio quickly pulled out their disguises, which consisted of a bunch of goth clothes and some wigs. "Seriously? This again?"
"You got any better ideas?" asked Sam. "We are literally pressed for time here." Tucker sighed as he walked to hide behind a building. Danny found a different spot to change, coming back as his human self while adjusting the purple wig. A slight zapping noise was heard from where Tucker was.
"Everything alright over there Tucker?" asked Danny. "That sounded like a fairly decent shock." The geek chuckled as he walked out from cover, holding what looked to be a taser.
"I decided to carry a taser, just in case someone tries to jump me when I'm walking home alone." Explained Tucker. "It was mainly my mom's idea. I accidentally dropped it and it burnt my hat a bit. No biggie." Danny groaned as he shook his head.
"Remind me to get Nightwing to teach you better dexterity man. You could have hit yourself with that." Tucker chuckled in embarrassment as the ghost hero suddenly grabbed him and Sam yet again. They flew down to the ground, making sure to land away from the parlor. Danny set the duo down before walking into the establishment.
The place seemed to be in one piece despite the ghostly duo that had walked in previously. Said couple could be seen looking over the different flavors. Johnny grinned as he looked to Kitty.
"Pick whatever you want, Kitten." Reassured the biker ghost. "I did some odd jobs around town, so we've got money to spend." Kitty grinned as she pointed to one of the flavors.
"Triple chocolate chunk in a waffle cone." Ordered the ghost girl. "I had the exact same set up on our first date." Johnny chuckled as he nodded his head.
"Alright then. In that case, I'll take the classic vanilla in the same cone." The man at the back quickly fulfilled their orders as a lady at the register rung up the order.
"That'll be $6.15 son." Explained the woman. Johnny handed over the exact change, surprising Danny. The woman quickly handed him his receipt as he dropped a 1 dollar bill in the tip jar. "Thank you kindly." The lovebirds quickly took their seat as the hidden trio walked up to the counter.
"I'll just take a boba tea please." Ordered Sam, doing her best to skew her voice. Johnny and Kitty didn't seem to notice as they walked over to a table to sit at. Danny cleared his throat as he tried to do the same.
"Banana Chocolate Mystery in a waffle cone." Ordered the ghost hero. The man sounded his interest as he began to put the ice cream together. He looked Danny in the eye, something that made the boy slightly nervous.
"You know, we don't get many people ordering this one." Admitted the man. "Back in my younger years, when I lived in Gotham, a couple and their kids came to our humble shop. All the kids ordered the exact same thing." Danny hummed in interest at the short story. Tucker smirked as he looked over the flavors.
"You know what?" questioned the geek. "I'll have what he's having." The man nodded as he prepared another scoop. Sam quickly handed over her credit card as the man passed the ice creams out. They were about to walk off when the man quickly came back with a glass of cola.
"Hey, on the house." He handed the drink to Danny, surprising him. He accepted the glass as he nodded.
"Oh, um… thanks." The worker nodded as he walked back into the freezer area. The trio quickly found a corner near Kitty and Johnny's table to eat their ice cream at. Danny looked over the ice cream, wondering exactly why that flavor drew him in. Shrugging, he decided to take a taste of it.
His mouth felt like it was hit with an avalanche of flavor. He could practically hear the giggles of a child in his head as the banana and chocolate graced his tongue. He smiled as the mystery part of the name hit him. "Caramel. The mystery is caramel."
"Heck yeah it is." Grunted Tucker in his disguised voice. "It's dang good." Sam glared at the duo before head bobbing back towards their targets. The trio soon fell into silence as they listened for the voices of the ghosts. They soon got their wish as Kitty moaned at the taste of her frozen treat.
"This feels like living all over again." Sighed the ghost girl. "Isn't this nice, Johnny?" Her boyfriend nodded in response.
"Oh yeah." Agreed the biker. "I think we honestly need moments like this. Days where we can just get away from the infinite realms and just be us. It's hard having ghosts like Walker breathing down your neck every moment of existence." Danny frowned, leaning back a bit in order to catch more of the conversation.
"I can't agree with you more. Things are so crazy back there that it feels like paradise here in comparison. We kinda messed things up a bit the first few times we were out here. I don't think 'he' would let us stay if he finds us on his turf." Johnny sighed as he shook his head.
"If Phantom comes making a stink about it, you leave him to me. I'll try talking him into letting us stay at least for today. Things will probably blow over once someone else does something stupid." The hidden trio looked to each other in confusion, wondering just what was going on. Danny decided to down his soda, only to yelp as something cut his lip.
"YOWZA! That hurt!" The entire shop looked to him, surprised to see a bit of blood leaking from his lip.
"Oh my gosh!" cried the woman at the register. She quickly grabbed some paper towels as she ran over to the group. "I'm so sorry sir. I thought we threw that cup out. Darn it Carlos!"
Johnny and Kitty looked to each other. They kept their cones on them as they left the building, apparently not liking the heat of the moment. Danny used one of the napkins to hold the area as the woman took the cup away. Sam watched as the cashier yelled at a young man in the back. The older man from before ran over to check on them.
"I deeply apologize for this. If I knew the cup was cracked like that, I would never have given it to you. Is there any way I could make this up to you? Any way at all?" Danny sighed as he removed the paper from his lip, surprised to see that the bleeding had already stopped.
"I…it's fine." Groaned the boy. "It was an accident on your part. I'd watch that guy more closely though." Sam frowned as she looked to the older man. She looked to be ready to tear him a new one, only for Tucker to clear his throat.
"Maybe we should head out." Suggested the geek. "It's getting late." Sam looked over to Johnny and Kitty's table, finally realizing that they left.
"Let's go, Don." Agreed the true goth. "We better get you home." Danny nodded in understanding as he followed his friends out. They watched as Johnny and Kitty began to drive off. Danny was about to change and go after them, when he noticed a kid chasing his ball out into the road.
"Hey!" cried Danny. "Get away from the road!" The kid grabbed his ball, only to pause as he heard a honking noise. He looked up just in time to see a truck barreling straight towards him. Danny was about to forsake his secret when he heard Johnny's tires squeal.
"Shadow!" cried the biker. Soon his shadow extended, changing shape as green eyes popped up. The entity quickly flew over to the kid, grabbing him just in time as it lifted him into the air. Kitty then grabbed the boy from the creature as the duo stopped by the sidewalk, the truck from earlier already gone at this point. She sighed in relief as she set the boy down.
"That was too close." Sighed the ghost girl. She sent a small frown at the child. "Run home to your parents, kid. Maybe after that, you'll learn to take your life more seriously. We sure as heck didn't, and it's not as fun as it sounds."
The boy nodded his head in fear as he quickly ran away with his ball. She groaned as she sat down on the bike again. Johnny rubbed her shoulders to try and help her relax.
"Calm down, Babe. It's over now." Kitty nodded as she tried to enjoy the sensation. Danny's surprised look turned into a smile as he looked over the duo. He crossed his arms as he nodded his head.
"You know what?" questioned Danny. "I don't think they're up to anything. If anything, I think their only plan was to have a date without anyone bothering them. I know I'd be annoyed if something in the ghost zone kept interrupting a moment like this." Sam and Tucker looked to each other once again, seeming to consider their friend's words.
Danny was about to walk over to the duo, only to feel his ghost sense go off once again. Soon a glowing green wheel cuff clamped on the back tire of Johnny's bike, causing the ghostly couple to jerk in response. Soon various ghosts in riot gear flew down, surrounding them as they prepared ghostly batons. Soon a pure white ghost with green eyes wearing a white trench coat with a black handkerchief in the left pocket, a black belt, white khakis, black boots, black gloves, a black tie, and a black and white fedora floated into view. "Warden Walker."
"You punks broke the rules." Growled the ghostly warden. "You'll be coming with me." Johnny growled as he gestured to the area around him.
"Oh come on!" cried the biker. "You have no jurisdiction here! Besides, what rule did we even break?" Danny motioned for Sam to pull out the Fenton thermos as he became intangible. Warden Walker quickly pulled out a paper, displaying it to the duo.
"The two of you came to the land of the living without a permit. That's against the rules." Kitty growled as she prepped her hands.
"Since when was that a thing!? Ghosts have been coming here without one before!" The police ghosts batted their shields with their batons, an attempt to display aggression.
"The idea hit me when you drove past my prison in reckless abandon. Punks like you need to be reminded why I am the law." Kitty quickly blew a kiss at one of the riot ghosts, causing a pink heart to soar towards him. He blocked it with his shield, only to vanish from sight. "You idiots! She can banish you with a blown kiss!"
The riot ghosts tried to attack the duo, forcing them to dodge. Shadow quickly picked up Johnny's bike, thankfully saving it from destruction. The enemies quickly flew after the trio, apparently readying a big attack. Kitty shot ecto-blasts at them, but they quickly raised their shields. Before any of them could do any damage, however, they all felt a sudden chill.
"You guys should cool off!" cried Danny from behind the ghost police. He blasted them with his ice powers, freezing most of them instantaneously. Walker growled as the hero turned his attention towards him.
"Phantom. You still owe me an afterlife sentence." Danny rolled his eyes as he cracked his knuckles.
"Not gonna happen. Also, when it comes to ghosts, I'm the law in the land of the living. The portal belongs to my family, so consider your permit law vetoed." The warden clearly didn't like his authority being undermined as he snapped his fingers. The remaining riot guards rushed the hero, their weapons ready.
Danny quickly sunk into the ground, causing the specters to miss. He then popped out again, socking two of them in the jaw. They both landed on their backs, seemingly knocked out. He then picked up one of their shields before bashing it into another. The two from earlier started to rise, only to be sucked into the Fenton Thermos courtesy of Sam.
She quickly did the same for the frozen guards before they could break free. Danny chuckled as he kicked another ghost her way. "Come on guys! I'm not even trying! All that training must be paying off if…"
Danny was cut off as one of the guards snuck up behind him, trying to choke him with its baton. The hero tried to fight the force, but this spirit had a bit more tenacity than the others. The guard smirked as he looked back at his boss.
"I've got him!" cried the spirit. "I've got…" His words were replaced by a scream as something shocked him. Tucker had a hand on his back, his supposed static problem causing the spirit to let go of his friend. Danny quickly flipped the guard over his shoulder, sending him straight into the Fenton Thermos.
"You've been 'Thunder Tuck!'" cried Tucker. "Get it?" Danny took a few deep breaths as he tried to ignore the bad pun.
"You know what I said about getting a new shirt?" questioned the ghost hero. "Forget everything I said. Just try not to wear it so much, alright? Also, leave the puns to me." Tucker chuckled as he nodded his head, embarrassed by the moment.
Warden Walker looked around, quickly realizing that his posse was captured. He growled as he looked towards Danny. He pulled out a piece of paper and a pen.
"Fools!" cried the warden. "You think you're above the law? I am the law! With just one warrant I can have you all arrested in a matter of…" Walker's words died as a large ringing rang through the air.
The ghost enemy fell over, revealing Shadow as the entity held a rusted sign in its grasp. Team Phantom sent small frowns at the being, causing it to throw the object back into a garbage pile where he supposedly grabbed it. Danny sighed as he grabbed the Fenton Thermos from Sam.
"Warden Walker, you're under arrest. You and your men will be deported back to the ghost zone. I'd read you your rights but sadly, there aren't any ghost rights yet." Danny cut off the joking as he sucked Walker into the thermos. Shadow quickly flew back over to Johnny, resuming its place at his feet.
"Listen Phantom." Began the ghost biker. "If you think we're going in there with those bozos, you've got another thing coming. I got something to say to you and…" Danny sighed as he tossed the thermos to Sam before flying into the air. He shot the cuff of the motorcycle's wheel before lowering down.
"Really? No 'thanks for saving our butts from another of Walker's stupid rules, Phantom?' I'm a little hurt." The ghost couple looked to each other, confused by the situation. Kitty looked towards Danny with a small frown.
"So… you're not gonna send us back to the Zone?" questioned the ghost girl. "Don't you usually shoot first and ask questions later?" Danny chuckled as he shook his head.
"That's usually because you guys are causing trouble. To be completely honest I probably would have come after you, if you didn't save that kid earlier." Johnny's eyes widened in shock as Kitty's eyes narrowed.
"You were spying on our date!? How did you even know!?" Danny reverted to normal, still in his disguise.
"I heard some girls talk about how Johnny refused to do anything with them since you two had something planned tonight." Kitty looked to Johnny in a mix of surprise and content as he chuckled with a shrug. "I decided to see what you guys were up to before immediately starting a fight. If it wasn't for that sharp glass back in the parlor, that kid from earlier probably wouldn't be going home right now." Johnny sighed as he slumped forwards.
"Look, Phantom, we just needed a break from the Zone." Revealed the biker. "Walker was making things hectic for us and after a while things just get so boring. This date was supposed to be just the two of us, spending time away from all that. You're still sorta alive, so have a heart and don't make us go back right now." Even Sam couldn't help but frown in sympathy as Danny nodded his head.
"Promise me one thing. Promise me that you'll stop causing trouble here in the living realm. I can understand if you're trying to do the right thing, but no harmful schemes. If you can do that, you two can roam around Amity Park more often." The couple looked at each other in shock before smiling at the ghost hero.
"Y…you're being serious, right?" asked Kitty. "This isn't some cruel joke?" Danny placed his hands on his hips as his smile became mischievous.
"Do you want the deal or not? Walker and his men are probably very lonely right now." The ghost duo quickly waved their hands in defense.
"Nah man!" cried Johnny. "We want it! We're just surprised is all. Ghosts don't usually let others roam around their haunt this easy." Danny chuckled as he rolled his eyes.
"Just don't go telling everyone about this, alright? I don't want every ghost using it as an excuse." The couple nodded their heads. Danny gestured off into the distance. "There's a theater over that way if you guys want to end this night on a movie."
He then looked to the duo again as he crossed his arms. "Just do me a favor and don't make me regret this decision." Johnny grinned as he and Kitty hopped on his bike.
"You know what Phantom? You're pretty cool when you're not shooting at us. Catch ya later!" The duo quickly rode off, Kitty cackling in excitement. Sam walked over to her secret crush, a concerned look on her face.
"Are you sure this is a good idea?" questioned the goth. "They can be a bit much, especially when they have a fight." Danny sent a small smile her way.
"Only time will tell." Answered the ghost hero. "Anyway, I gotta get these guys to the ghost portal. See you guys tomorrow!" The ghost boy turned back into his ghost form before flying away. Tucker smiled as he looked towards Sam.
"I gotta get home too." Revealed the geek. "I promised my folks that I'd be home by curfew. Goodnight Sam!" The boy quickly ran away from the area, surprising Sam with his newfound speed. If Tucker can run that fast, maybe she should take up Nightwing on his training.
Sam quickly left the area too, not wanting to receive a grilling from her family. As she left, a few more patrons of the ice cream parlor began to leave. In the back, the old man was seen looking over his store. The cashier sent him a nod as she changed the sign to the closed side. They both walked to the back, inputting a code into a keypad.
They arrived in a room that did not belong in an ice cream parlor, a lab with a small amount of equipment. The man who prepared Danny's broken glass of soda, Carlos, was seen preparing the blood from the cut area in a vial. He smiled as he placed the container in a machine.
"And we're all set." Proclaimed the scientist. He looked back to the others with a curious frown. "Are you sure that kid was him? He doesn't fully match the description?" The owner of the store sent a small frown at Carlos.
"Even if his disguise was decent, I could tell that he had the right features." Reassured the owner. "I can feel it in my gut that I've seen that kid before. I just wish you could have made the event more discreet. I'm trying to run an actual establishment here." Carlos shrugged as he turned his attention back to the machine.
"This isn't exactly simple science. If I only have blood to work with, I need blood to compare it too. We need the same amount of it or else the findings can be skewed. Now be quiet and let the machine do it's magic." The scientist finished inputting settings into the machine before starting it up.
The machine scanned both samples, moving at a slow pace. Once it stopped the sound of whirring and clicking filled the room. Soon the device quickly printed out a piece of paper. Carlos picked it up as he read over it, only for his eyes to widen. "Oh my gosh."
He looked to his colleagues in surprise. "While there are anomalies in his DNA, he's a 75% match. We'd need stronger equipment to get a better look, but it's highly likely that we actually found one." The woman and the owner looked to each other, the same shock apparent on their faces. The old man carefully removed the vial of Danny's blood from the machine before sticking it in a zip lock bag.
"Get the sample to Wayne Tech immediately."
Chloe: Wow… and I thought things were gonna calm down after that fight. Something's definitely off, but he won't let us look ahead that far. It's utterly ridiculous.
Inkaliber: Well that's because I don't want anyone spoiling it. The chapter flow may be going differently from what I expected, but I'll hold onto what I think should happen for a long time. So please, don't look too far into it.
Chloe: Alright. So, what's the verdict?
Inkaliber: Well it looks like it's mainly the Fenton kids that popped up here, including Danielle. At this point I'm thinking that someone is intentionally forcing dimensional mitosis. Before you ask, this is not any of your faults. If it was, the affects would be more random.
Chloe: The thought's still there. Anyway, what's gonna happen now?
Inkaliber: Well I'll be closing out the chapter. Then we'll get everything settled off screen. Head into the living area and I'll meet you there.
Chloe: Okay.
Inkaliber: Heh. Smart kid. This is gonna be a regular thing until I catch the culprit, isn't it?
In any case, what did you think about the chapter? Did you like the fight? How about Johnny and Kitty's introduction? What is up with Tucker's shirt?
Danny: Is that really the only important question to ask?
Inkaliber: Get back to the living room. Anyway, let me know what you guys think down below and I'll try to get back to you ASAP. This is Inkaliber, signing out.
