Naruto was chilling with Tony as he planned Peppers's surprise birthday party when suddenly he was hit with a rush of energy and memories getting Tony's attention.
"You good Buddy?" Tony asked concerned
Naruto took a minute as he sorted his new memories and let the rush of energy from his new power/abilities fade away before he opened his eyes and turned to Tony "Yea, just got a new batch of memories and abilities. Hopefully this will be the last batch of powers that I receive from my other self." before he created indestructible gloves like his other self-did to prevent himself from gaining any more powers/abilities
This got Tony's attention "What are those for? And what abilities/powers did you gain this time?"
"Basically, invulnerability without Sage mode, Heat Vision, Super Hearing, freeze breath, Flight, Increased Super strength, Telekinesis, Phasing/Density shifting, Camouflage, Telepathy/Mindreading, and Shapeshifting." Naruto answered causing Tony to give him a flat look "As for the gloves it's so I don't accidentally copy any other powers."
"Anything else to make you more godlike?" Tony asked
"Hopefully not." Naruto answered "Anyways get back to planning don't let me distract you."
And at that Naruto went back to meditating while Tony went back to planning
(A couple weeks later)
It was now time for Pepper's surprise birthday party, Tony had gotten everything in order and now it was time for everyone to show up. Naruto and Sakura were getting dressed when Sakura turned to her husband.
"So, are you going to let Fury know about your new powers?" she asked
"Nah, I trust his intentions but that doesn't mean that I will keep him updated. If there comes an opportunity to update him, I will in that moment. Until then no." Naruto answered before they headed for Tony's Mansion
(Tony's Mansion)
Naruto and Sakura walked up to Tony's door and saw him and Rhodey doing the finishing touches. The Outsiders couple made their way inside and made their presence known.
"You boys need any help?" Naruto and Sakura asked
"Nah. Just doing finishing touches, Naruto if you could stand by the door and make sure that Pepper doesn't come in till everyone has arrived that would be great." Tony said
"Yeah, sure thing." Naruto said before he made his way over to the door and stood at the side
(A Few Hours Later)
Everyone had finally arrived and Tony had called Pepper asking her to come by the mansion as he needed something.
Pepper pulled up to Tony's mansion and immediately took notice of the cars that were parked out front. She parked her car and made her way to the front door and saw that Naruto was standing to the side of the door. Pepper walked up and looked at him.
"What's with all the cars? And why are you standing out here?" Pepper asked suspiciously
"I am sorry Pepper, but I cannot say anything per Tony's request." Naruto answered before he opened the door allowing her in
Pepper immediately took notice of the fact that the lights were off and no one was inside, but there were multiple tables full of food, drink, and a table full of gifts. Naruto followed her in when the lights turned on and Tony, Rhodey, Sakura, Peppers's parents, and a bunch of her friends jumped out.
"SURPRISE!" they call called out shocking Pepper
"Tony, what is all of this?" Pepper asked still confused and in shock
"This is a surprise birthday party that I planned for you since I missed your actually one because of my capture and time in captivity." Tony answered before Pepper hugged him
"Thank you. This means so much to me." Pepper said before Tony got down on one knee causing Pepper to freeze as he pulled out a small box, as soon as she saw the small box she brought her hand to her mouth, heartrate kicked up, eyes tearing up.
"Pepper Virginia Potts, I know at first, I was a playboy, I was reckless, didn't care much for anything asides sleeping with as many women as I could. But my best friend brought me back to reality and showed me what was right in front of me. While I was in captivity, I realized just how much you meant to me. I don't want to live another second of my life without you by my side. Pepper Virginia Potts, will you make me the happiest person on earth and marry me?" Tony recited with as much emotion as he could muster
It took a few seconds for Peppers brain to process what was happening and what Tony said but eventually, she came back to earth and pulled Tony into a fierce kiss that lasted about 3 seconds before she released him.
"Oh, course I will marry you, I wouldn't have it any other way." Pepper said before Tony slipped the engagement ring on her finger before everyone broke out into cheers.
Tony then proceeded to pick Pepper up and kiss her while twirling her around briefly, Tony then turned around "Let's get this party started!" and with that, the party officially started
(The next day)
Naruto appeared at Tony's front door deciding to give Tony and Pepper the privacy they deserved and rung the doorbell. A few minutes later Pepper came down fully dressed and opened the door letting Naruto in.
"He should be down in his workshop working on designing a new suit." Pepper told him
Naruto nodded before making his way down to Tony's workshop, Naruto logged in mentally and opened the door getting Tony's attention.
Tony tossed Naruto an envelope, Naruto read it thru the envelope with his x-ray vision "Damn, it's already been a day and you guys already planned the wedding?"
"Yea, we spent most of the time after the party sorting everything out and reserving everything. Well, that was after I called up Legal and worked everything out to promote Pepper to Co-CEO, it is a family business so I thought it was fitting to give her a position right next to mine in terms of managing the company and such." Tony explained "I am going to need you to run security as the news from me promoting her is going to basically signify that we are an item."
Naruto nodded "Sure thing."
(2 Weeks Later)
The wedding went off without a hitch, and Tony and Pepper were happily on their honeymoon. Naruto had given both Tony and Pepper a bracelet just like the ones that his other self had given his girls, saying that he would explain more about them after their honeymoon.
During the Stark couple's honeymoon, Sakura had discovered that she was 2 weeks pregnant, they were going to wait until Tony and Pepper got back from their honeymoon to let them know as well as ask them to be the godparents.
(A month later - Morning)
Tony and Pepper had gotten back from their honeymoon about 2 weeks ago, and Tony had called Naruto asking him and Sakura to come over as they had big, important news.
Naruto grabbed Sakura and they made their way over to Tony's mansion. They showed up at Tony's front door and ring his doorbell. Tony answered the door and let them in, leading them to the table in the middle of the living room where they saw Pepper sitting.
Naruto and Sakura took seats on the couch as Tony took his seat beside Pepper "So why exactly did you call us over?" Naruto asked
Tony motioned for Pepper to break the news "I'm pregnant, I went to the doctor and I am about 2 weeks along."
Naruto and Sakura freeze from shock momentarily before they regain their bearings "That's great and all but what did you call us over here for?" Naruto asked
Tony then puts his arm around Peppers' waist "Well we wanted you to be the child's godparents."
Naruto smiled before chuckling causing Pepper and Tony to frown "What's so funny about what we asked?" Pepper asked
Naruto waved his hand defensively "It's not what you asked it's the fact that we were going to ask you the same thing as Sakura too is pregnant. But absolutely, we would love to be the child's godparents."
This shocked Tony and Pepper "We would absolutely love to be the child's godparents."
"Actually we are having twins." Naruto corrected
"Anyways we haven't eaten breakfast and Sakura needs to get to work, so can we go back to our place and cook breakfast?" Naruto asked
"Nah we haven't eaten breakfast either so we can make breakfast here." Tony answered
And with that both Pepper and Sakura headed for the kitchen to make breakfast for their spouses while Tony and Naruto headed down to the workshop.
(4 months later – Stark Expo)
Tony had figured out after 2 months of using the arc reactor in his chest that it was poisoning him, Tony had confided in Naruto and Sakura about his findings and asked Naruto if there was anything that he could do to help him. Naruto shrugged his shoulders saying that while he wanted to, he was instructed by an outside source to let him figure things out himself, or else he risked possible dire consequences on a universal scale. Tony opted out of telling Pepper just yet until he ran out of options, as well as to avoid stressing her out during her pregnancy. For the next 2 months leading up to the Stark Expo, Tony would try his damnedest and hardest to find a solution to his problem.
Naruto was escorting Tony from out of the Stark expo to the car that Happy was waiting in outside. As they reached the outside of the Expo only to see a beautiful woman in a purple top and black skirt standing next to the car talking to Happy. Naruto and Tony walked up to the car as Naruto checked her thoughts causing him to sigh before they decided to make their presence known.
"Can we help you?" Tony asked causing the woman to turn around
"Yes, actually I have something for you." The woman responded before she held out a letter with an official stamp on it that Naruto grabbed "You are hereby ordered to appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m." causing Tony to sigh as now he knew what Naruto groaned about
"Well, be there." Tony stated before he turned to Naruto "How far are we from D.C.?"
"Around 250 miles, nothing we can't do." Naruto answered before turning to the woman "Thank you, you have a good night."
Tony and Naruto got into the car as Happy drove off towards Tony's mansion
"We knew this day would come. Good thing you got a good attorney for a best friend." Naruto commented "Don't worry they will not be getting your suits." he added reassuring Tony
(The next day – D.C. – Senate Armed Services Committee)
Naruto, Pepper, and Tony had arrived on time with Pepper wanting to be at the trail to watch her husband. They had ordered Happy to wait in the car before they made their way into the committee room. They would have to wait a while before they could defend their case.
"Mr. Stark, could we please pick up where we left off?" Senator Stern asked while banging the gavel getting everyone's attention
"You have our full attention, Senator." Naruto answered
"Do you or do you not possess a specialized weapon, Mr. Stark." Senator Stern asked with a smile that irked Naruto
"It depends on what you classify as a weapon." Naruto answered with a straight face
"The Iron Man weapon." Senator Stern stated
"The 'Iron Man' Weapon is not a weapon." Naruto shot back
"How would Mr. Stark describe it?" Senator Stern asked
"It would be described as a mechanized, suit of armor with defensive capabilities-built in that given the right opportunity can be used offensively." Naruto answered with a matter-of-fact tone
"It is a weapon. It's a weapon, Mr. Uzumaki." Senator Stern stated
"I have clearly stated what the 'Iron Man' suit is and yet you chose ignorance insisting it's a weapon. What are you trying to get out of this Senator?" Naruto asked
"My priority is to get the 'Iron Man' weapon turned over to the people, and in turn the U.S. Army so it can be used properly to defend the U.S.A." Senator Stern answered
"Well, you can forget it. As it is not a weapon. Mr. Stark is in fact Iron Man, and you cannot have it as that would technically fall under slavery or prostitution." Naruto stated causing the crowd to laugh
"Alright look, I'm no expert in weapons, but we have somebody here who is an expert on weapons. I would now like to call Justin Hammer, our current primary weapons contractor." Senator Stern stated as he motioned to Justin Hammer causing Naruto and Tony to laugh
"This outta be good." Naruto commented
"I'd like to go on the record and say that I acknowledged Justin Hammer entered the room and am wondering if you are going to bring in an actual expert in weapons." Tony shot causing Justin to laugh
"Absolutely. I am no expert. I would defer Anthony Stark for that one. You're the wonder boy." Justin shot back before getting up "Senator if I may." as he picked up the mic
"While I may not be an expert, you know who was the expert?" Justin said letting the question hang in the air before he pointed to Tony "Your dad. Howard Stark."
"Really Justin, are you going to act like a man or a child." Naruto asked before Justin waved him off as he continued
"Really a father to us all, and to the military-industrial age. But let's be clear. He was no flower child. He was a lion. We all know why we're here. In the last six months, Anthony Stark has created a sword with untold possibilities. But insists it's a shield. He asks us to trust him as we cower behind it. I wish I were comforted, Anthony, I really do. I would love to leave my door unlocked when I leave the house, but this ain't Canada. We live in a world of grave threats that Mr. Stark will not always be able to foresee. Thank you. God Bless Iron Man, and God Bless America." Justin spoke before putting the mic down and taking his seat
"And do tell Senator. While Tony might not be able to foresee grave threats of the world what makes the U.S. Military anymore fit to foresee these threats?" Naruto asked as Stern disregarded him
"That is well said, Mr. Hammer." Senator Stern said "The committee would now like to invite Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes to the chamber." causing Naruto, Tony, and Pepper to turn around as they watched Rhodey walk down the aisle before he took a seat
"Hey Rhodey, didn't expect to see you here." Naruto and Tony said before Rhodey turned to them with a straight face
"Look, I'm here, deal with it." Rhodey said in a matter-of-fact tone
"I have before me a complete report on the Iron Man weapon, compiled by Colonel Rhodes. And, Colonel, for the record, can you please read page 57, paragraph four?" Senator Stern asked
"You're requesting that I read a specific selection from my report, Senator?" Rhodey asked for clarification
"Yes, sir." Senator Stern answered "Can you please read page 57, paragraph four?"
"You're requesting that I read specific selections from my report, out of context, Senator?" Rhodey asked trying to wiggle his way out of it
"Yes, sir." Senator Stern confirmed
"It was to my understanding that I was going to be testifying in a more comprehensive and detailed manner." Rhodey explained before Senator Stern cut him off
"I understand. A lot of things have changed today. So if you could just read…" Senator Stern said before he was cut off by Rhodey
"You do understand that reading a single paragraph out of context does not convey the proper message…" Rhodey said as they went back and forth
"Just read it, Colonel. Thank you." Senator Stern ordered before Rhodey opened up the report to the requested page
"Very well. 'As he does not operate within any definable branch of government, Iron Man presents a potential threat to the security of both the nation and to her interests.'." Rhodey read "I did however go on to summarize that the benefits of Iron Man far outweigh the liabilities. That it would be smarter to fold Mr. Stark into the existing chain of command. Senator." he added
Tony brought his face up to the mic "I'm not a joiner but I'll consider Secretary of Defense if you ask nicely. The hours can be amended a bit."
"I'd like to go on and show, if I may, the imagery that's connected to your report." Senator Stern said
"I believe it's a bit premature to reveal these images to the general public at this point in time." Rhodey spoke up
"Colonel, I understand. And if you could just narrate those for us, we'd be very grateful." Senator shut Rhodey down before he reluctantly agreed "Let's have the images." as he motioned to the screens before pictures began to fade in
"Intelligence suggests that the devices seen in these photos are in fact attempts at replicating the 'Iron Man' suit." Rhodey narrated before Naruto mentally demolished the Senates firewalls before turning to Tony nodding as he knew what Tony had on his personal servers before Tony pulled out his phone and started preparing evidence he had on his servers to his phone "This has been corroborated by our allies and local intelligence on the ground, indicating that these suits are quite possibly, at this moment, operational."
"If you don't mind senator we'll just borrow your screens for a hot minute." Naruto informed Senator Stern before Tony hijacked their screens causing Pepper to shake her head at her husband's antics
"It's time for a little bit of transparency Senator." Tony commented "Now, let's see what's really going on."
"What is he doing?" Senator Stern asked, concerned and confused
"If you will direct your attention to the screens…" Tony announced before he pulled up feed from his personal server "I believe that is North Korea." as Tony played a video of a North Korea's failed attempt
"Can you turn that off? Take it off." Senator Stern ordered Justin who got up and made his way to the screens
"Iran." Tony named off before playing another video of a failed attempt "No grave immediate threat there. Is that Justin Hammer? How did Hammer get in the game?" as he showed a video of Hammer Industries' attempt at making an Iron man suit before the video showed the suit twist to an unnatural angle as the pilot let out a scream before the suit went limp, as Justin finally managed to turn the screen off.
"Yeah, I'd say most countries, 5, 10 years away. Hammer Industries, 20." Tony finished off before Rhodey and Pepper gave him a look before Hammer came to the mic
"I'd like to point out that that test pilot survived that ordeal." Justin said in defense of the what was shown in the video
"I think were done it the point that he is making." Senator Stern said trying to get things under control
"The point is, you're welcome, I guess." Tony commented
"For what exactly, Mr. Stark?" Senator Stern asked
"Because I'm your nuclear deterrent. It's working. We're safe. America is secure. You want my property you can't have it." Tony answered "But I did you a big favor, I privatized world peace."
"Mr. Stark if I may make a suggestion." Naruto stated turning to Tony who nodded "Senator Stern, What if Mr. Stark made you 1 Iron man suit but only operatable by 1 person of Mr. Starks choice? But only for defensive purposes, you are not allowed to use it offensively. No invading other countries with this suit only defending America and its allies. We can iron out what defensive capabilities this suit would have with the person of Mr. Stark's choice. Does that sound like a deal Tony, Senator?"
Senator Stern leaned back in his chair debating the pros and cons of the offer, it took him a few minutes before he sat back up in his chair "That sounds like a doable deal. If I may ask Mr. Stark who would the person be that you would choose?"
Tony immediately turned to Rhodey "That would be my best buddy Rhodey."
"I can deal with that. Colonel Rhodes, I leave this matter in your hands now." Senator Stern said before he banged his gavel calling an end to the conference
"Oh and Senator Stern." Naruto said getting Stern's attention "If I or Mr. Stark find out that this suit has been used for anything other than defense I will personally hunt the suit down and destroy or confiscate it and make you pay for renigging on the deal."
"Is that a threat Mr. Uzumaki? Did you just threaten a Senator?" Senator Stern asked baffled at the claim
"No, I didn't threaten you. I simply stated what is to be expected if we find that you did not hold up your end of the deal." Naruto answered before he turned around to face Tony and Rhodey "Drop by Tony's place and we will get everything sorted out with the suit." with that Naruto texted Happy to get the car ready and Tony, Naruto and Pepper headed out.
(Later that Day – Tony's Workshop)
Naruto, Tony, and Rhodey were hanging out in the workshop, working out the fine details in what would be Rhodey Iron man suit when J.A.R.V.I.S. reminded Tony that his palladium core needed to be replaced. Tony reached under his shirt and pulled out the Arc reactor before it ejected the palladium core inside, Tony pulled out the core before putting it on his desk as he opened the cigar case revealing what was about 7 more palladium cores as he pulled one out and put it into the arc reactor as it pulled it back in and turned back on. Tony then put it back in his chest, as they got back to work on designing the suit that would be Rhodey's.
(The next day – Tony's mansion)
Naruto was hanging with Tony watching him struggle to find a replacement for his palladium core when Pepper came down the stairs, logged in, and opened the door.
"Honey the new assistant is here, why don't you come and meet her? Naruto you can come too." Pepper said before she closed the door and walked back up the stairs with her husband and Naruto shortly following suit.
Naruto and Tony made it up the stairs, finding the new assistant sitting a chair across from Pepper, Tony took a seat next to Pepper while Naruto chose to stand off to the side. Naruto could instantly tell that this new assistant was not everything that she seemed and he read her mind and scanned her more recent memories to determine if she was a threat or not. A few seconds later he found who she really was and what her real intentions were but decides not to go too into detail if Pepper and Tony asked.
"Nice to meet you miss Natalie Rushman, I hope you don't cause too much trouble." Naruto greeted causing 'Natalie' to adopt a taken aback expression
"I didn't even tell you my name. How did you know?" 'Natalie' asked as she turned to Naruto
'Because I can read your mind and have scanned your recent memories. Ms. Natasha Romanoff, don't worry I won't blow your cover as I see no harm in what you are doing.' Naruto told her mentally causing her to widen her eyes and jump getting Tony and Pepper's attention
"Is there something wrong Miss Rushman?" Pepper and Tony asked before they looked at Naruto "What did you do Naruto."
Naruto waved his hands defensively "Nothing bad, I can assure you. Just noticed that something was up with Miss Rushman and decided to investigate. But there is nothing to worry about she has a fresh bill of clean health in my books."
"Well anyway, this is one of Tony's best friends and our bodyguard when we go out in public. You should familiarize yourself with him as you will be around him more being our new assistant." Pepper explained getting a nod from Natasha
"I believe that I have met your brother from the Tech department. Menma I think it was. Quite a dashing man if I do say so myself." Natasha commented
"I'm sure he can be quite the charmer." Naruto said with a smile
"What department were you from?" Tony asked
"I was originally in legal but Mrs. Stark promoted me to personal assistant and now I'm here." Natasha answered
"Well it was nice meeting you Ms. Rushman but my friend and I have to get back down to my workshop and continue on what we were working on." Tony said before he got up and headed for his workshop followed shortly by Naruto
(A couple months later – Grand Prix – Monaco)
Tony and Pepper decided to attend the Grand Prix event in Monaco as they were sponsoring one of the companies in the Prix. Naruto went with them as per usual and Happy followed as he was their designated driver/Pepper's new bodyguard.
Naruto, Pepper, Tony, and Happy got out of the car with Happy carrying Tony's newest portable iteration of his armor and walked into the hotel that they were escorted to. They enter the hotel and are led to the dining area and are greeted by Natasha.
"How was your flight Mr. and Mrs. Stark?" Natasha asked with a smile
"It was excellent. Very relaxing and quiet." Pepper answered
"We have one photographer from the ACM if you 2 don't mind." Natasha informed them as she motioned to the man beside her holding the camera
Tony pulled Pepper close to him putting his arm around her waist as they posed for the camera, the man took their picture before they continued onto their table. As they made their way to their table Tony recognized a familiar face.
"Hey, Mr. Musk. How are things going? Those Merlin engines are fantastic" Tony asked before Elon Musk got up from his chair to greet the Stark couple
"Congratulations on making it official and the promotion. And things are great, I have some new ideas for an electric jet." Elon said as he shook Tony's hand
"You do? Well then, we'll make it work." Tony replied before they set their stuff down at their table and Tony and Pepper headed for the bar to get some drinks
"Do you want a massage honey?" Tony asked
"Tony now is not the place to be giving me a massage." Pepper answered as they made it to the bar getting the attention of Justin Hammer
"Anthony, Virginia! Is that you guys?" Justin called out from behind Tony as he patted him on the back "Hey, pal."
"My least favorite person on Earth. Justin Hammer." Tony cringed
"How are you guys doing?" Justin asked "You know you aren't the only rich guy here with a fancy car. You know Christine Everhart from Vanity Fair." before Christine made herself known by coming out from behind Justin "Do you guys know each other?"
Tony smiled "Yes I do."
"If I recall correctly I would have done something very stupid, and reckless with her had Naruto not been there." Tony commented
"BTW, big story. The new Co-CEO of Stark Industries and Anthony's wife." Justin said pointing at Pepper
"Justin please refrain from using my full name, I go by Tony." Tony corrected him "But yes we did recently get married, and we are very happy together." Tony added before he kissed Pepper who gladly returned it
Justin clicked his tongue "You could have done so much better Pepper." before Tony had and Naruto had to hold Pepper back from Slapping the shit out of Justin for the comment
"Justin you are lucky that Tony is nicer than I am right now and that I have 2 people holding me back otherwise you would be on the floor crying from how hard I was gonna slap you." Pepper said looking Justin dead in the eyes before she finally calmed down
Naruto turned to Tony "I think you better go sit Pepper down at the table before things get ugly. I'll bring you guys your drinks." before Tony nodded as he lead Pepper to their table
Naruto then turned to Justin "You are a very lucky man Justin. Don't say stupid shit. We all know you are a dick. No need to broadcast it." before Naruto ordered Tony's drink and got a non-alcoholic drink for Pepper and brought it to them
Christine turned to Justin "I have to go and grab a quote from Pepper for our Powerful Women Issue."
"What happened to your big spread on my for Vanity Fair?" Justin asked worried that he just muddied his image
"I'll come back to you when I'm done with her." before she followed after Naruto
When they got to the table they only found Pepper "Where did Tony go?" Naruto asked
"He went to the bathroom to calm down." Pepper answered before Christine sat down
"You don't mind if I grab a quote for my editor for our Powerful Women Issue would you?" Christin asked as she held up her recorder
"Not at all." Pepper said before Naruto went to go and find Tony
(Men's Restroom)
Naruto walked into the Mens restroom to find Tony looking into the mirror with his shirt unbuttoned and his arc reactor on full display with the 'weird' tattoo that the arc reactor was giving him.
Tony turned around to face Naruto "I want to race. Like in this Prix. I have my own racecar but have never used it."

Naruto shrugged his shoulders "I see no problem, if something happens its nothing that Sakura can't fix. You want me to tell Pepper?"
Tony nodded "You tell her and I will head down to the track to get suited up." before he buttoned his shirt and walked out followed shortly by Naruto

Christine had gotten her quote and went back over to Justin to get her spread on him. Naruto walked up to the table, getting Peppers attention.
"Where's Tony?" Pepper asked slightly concerned
"He is headed down to the track. He wants to race, he already owns one of the cars." Naruto stated causing Pepper to calm down as she knew that Naruto wouldn't let Tony do anything that would get him killed when Tony showed up on the T.V. in a Stark racecar Jumpsuit.
Suddenly the camera was focused on him "Well, what's the use of having a racecar if you aren't going to drive it."
Tony said before the driver in the racecar got out
Pepper flagged down Natasha "Natalie, get Happy for me. You never know what could happen."
(A couple minutes later)
The race had been going on for a couple of minutes when suddenly everyone watching the T.V. saw a Russian man in a jumpsuit walk out onto the track. The Russian man walked about 10 feet before he unbuttoned his jumpsuit and Naruto instantly saw the arc reactor on his chest. Pepper saw it too and turned to Naruto, they both nodded just as a racecar came around the corner. As the car got closer and closer the man didn't make any movements to get out of the way.
When the car got close enough the man swung his whip cutting the front of the racecar off as the racecar was sent flying over the man. Just then Happy walked up with Tony's newest suitcase armor, Pepper turned to Naruto who only nodded before they followed Happy out to the car. Pepper got in the back as Happy tossed the armor in the backseat with Pepper.
Naruto got in the passenger seat "GO, GO, GO!" Pepper ordered before the tires screeched as Happy floored it, sending Pepper back in her seat as the car shot off.
"Alright, I'll fend off this nutjob while you guys get Tony his armor." Naruto ordered before Happy gave him a look as if he was insane
"And what the hell are you going to do to fend him off exactly? You don't have a suit of armor like Tony, that guy will slice you in half." Happy asked worried for his higher up
Naruto smiled "Let's just say that I am a government experiment." before Happy busted thru the doors keeping people off the track as they sped towards Tony
2 minutes later they rounded the corner and Naruto opened the door before he shot into the air as the car continued on towards Tony as it passed his side. The camera's followed him thru the air as he did a frontflip before coming back down onto the track creating a crater as his suit bled onto him.
"HEY UGLY!" Naruto called out before he pulled the man towards him via Universal Pull
The man now seeing that Naruto wasn't going to leave him alone or allow him to try and kill Tony turned his attention to Naruto. The man threw one of his whips at Naruto, the whip grazed off him as if it hadn't even hit him as Happy tried to drive past the man. The man seeing the car driving towards Tony assuming that they were going to help threw his whip at the car only to be shooked as the whip froze mid-air. The man tried to pull his whip free but found he couldn't, he looked around puzzled as to what his whip could be stuck on, and saw Naruto with his hand extended almost as if he was grabbing the whip. Happy safely passed as Naruto held the whip in place, once Happy was clear Naruto released the whip from his telekinetic hold and the whip fell to the ground.
Pepper tossed the suitcase out and Tony got suited up, Happy then put the car in reverse and began driving back, only for the man to try and slice the car in half again only for it to bounce off some invisible forcefield that Naruto had erected. Happy and the car finally made it back to Naruto who then put himself between the man and the car.
"He's all yours now Tony." Naruto called out before Tony went to work on the man
After a couple of minutes of back and forth fighting Tony eventually grabbed both whips and tossed the guys over him and slammed him on the ground before walking up and ripping the arc reactor out of his suit as law enforcement arrived and took the man away.
"You Lose Stark!" the man said spitting blood in Tony's direction before he laughed "You Lose Stark!"
Tony looked at the arc reactor and had his suit analyze it finding that it was almost exactly the same before he crushed it and walked over to the car.
As Tony walked over to the car Naruto's suit collected back into his necklace, the whole ordeal being caught on camera. Tony finally made it to the car.
"Is everyone alright?" Tony asked
"Bro did you seriously just ask that with me here?" Naruto asked in a slightly are you serious tone
Tony chuckled "Just checking. So what exactly are we going to tell the public about what they saw?"
Naruto shrugged his shoulders "Just tell them that I am a government experiment."
(The trip back home - Plane)
Tony, Pepper, Naruto, and Happy were flying back home the same day as the incident after Naruto had given his statement on how he was able to do the things that everyone saw him do, saying that he was a science experiment that escaped, although Naruto would not reveal which 'lab' or 'government' organization did the experiments on him.
"It's just quite unbelievable. It proves that the figurative genie is out of the bottle. And Mr. Stark has no idea what he is doing. He thinks of the Iron Man suit as a Toy. I was at the hearing where Mr. Stark was in fact very adamant that these suits can't exist anywhere else, don't exist anywhere else, never will exist anywhere else, for at least 5-10 years, and here we are in Monaco realizing, 'Uh-oh. These suits exist now.'. And that doesn't even begin to cover his hired muscle/bodyguard, Naruto Uzumaki who claims that he is a government science experiment that escaped. Are we sure that what we saw at Monaco was all that Mr. Uzumaki was capable of? How are we supposed to feel knowing that Mr. Stark has a 'Super Powered' science experiment for a lapdog? Mr. Uzumaki was at the hearing as Mr. Starks attorney, he 'threatened' me if I didn't hold up my end of the deal with Mr. Stark. How am I, how are we supposed to feel about that, about a human with those capabilities running around amongst us." Stern said before Tony muted the T.V.
(The next day – Tony's mansion)
Rhodey walked in and saw Pepper and Natasha handling phones for crowd control for the incident in Monaco.
"Where are they?" Rhodey asked
"Down in his workshop." Pepper answered before Rhodey started down the stairs
Rhodey logged into the door and opened it to see Naruto and Tony sitting in one of his cars looking at information on someone named 'Ivan Vanko'
"Query complete. Anton Vanko was a Soviet physicist who defected to the U.S. in 1963. However, he was accused of espionage and was deported in 1967. His son, Ivan, who is also a physicist, was convicted of selling Soviet-era weapons-grade plutonium to Pakistan and served 15 years in Kopeisk prison. No further records exist." J.A.R.V.I.S. read off
"Tony, Naruto, you have got to get upstairs and get on top of this situation right now. Listen. I've been on the phone with the National Guard all day trying to talk them out of rolling tanks up the PCH, knocking down your front door, and taking these as they don't see 1 suit as enough anymore. They're gonna take your suits, Tony, okay? They are sick of your games." Rhodey informed them "You said that nobody else would possess this technology for 20 years. Well, someone else had it yesterday. It's not theoretical anymore."
"They are welcome to try. I'll be here to greet them. They know part of what I am capable of, let them come and find out the rest." Naruto countered
Tony then fell over trying to get up "Naruto get me another replacement core would you."
Naruto walked over to the cigar case that held Tony's palladium reactor cores and plucked one out before bringing it to Tony who pulled out his reactor and replaced the core before putting it back in, allowing Rhodey to get a look at the 'high tech' tattoo that the reactor was causing.
"Have you told Pepper yet?" Rhodey asked only for Tony to shake his head
"I don't want to cause her stress during her pregnancy." Tony answered
(Later that night)
That night Tony was getting ready for his birthday party and Pepper was helping him. This was the first time in about 2 months that she saw her husband shirtless and she got a clear view of 'whatever' her husband's reactor was doing to him. She called Naruto and Sakura in to check on Tony, Sakura 'checked' over Tony and lied saying that it was just an effect of using the reactor. Tony buttoned up his shirt silently thanking Sakura for not revealing anything before he put his watch on and they all walked out.
They walked out and were greeted by Rhodey "Tony, Naruto, I need to bring something back to the military they are getting impatience. Is it ready yet?"
"Yea, it actually just finished. It should be down in my workshop, just remember to fly it out thru the garage and not make a hole in the roof. I trust that you thought of a better name than war machine for the suit." Tony answered
Rhodey scratched the back of his head "Yea that's still a bit of a work in progress." causing Tony and Naruto to roll their eyes
"Just make sure it doesn't insight fear or sound like a weapon." Naruto commented
"Sure thing." Rhodey said before he headed for the workshop to get the suit
(The next day – Randy's Donuts)
Tony had decided that he wanted to get some donuts at a local donut shop and Naruto went with him because why not. As Tony was ordering/picking out the donuts Naruto sensed Nick Fury walk up behind them.
"What do you want Fury. Here to reprimand me for what I did back in Monaco?" Naruto asked not even turning around getting Tony's attention
"Just take a seat." Fury ordered before he walked over to one of the stalls and took a seat
Tony turned to Naruto who only nodded, Tony grabbed the donuts that he ordered before Tony took a seat with Naruto opting to stand. Fury immediately took notice of the gloves that Naruto had on.
"Look I told you I don't want to join your super-secret boy band." Tony groaned
Fury laughed "No, no, no. I remember you do everything yourself. With the exception of your hired muscle." causing Naruto to glare at him "And Naruto don't even get me started on the headache that you have caused me. After your little stunt in Monaco, I have been having people in S.H.I.E.L.D. crawling up my ass demanding answers and that we need to get you under our thumb/control." before he motioned to the gloves "What's up with the gloves? I doubt you have a skin condition."
"I would appreciate it if you quit referring to me as hired muscle Fury. You know damn well that I am his bodyguard and best friend. Call it how it is." Naruto reminded him "As for your problem, technically I am under your control, just at my discretion. You can tell the people under you to fuck off for all I care. As for the gloves, I have recently figured out that due to outside sources I have gained the ability to permanently copy other people's abilities and powers upon physical contact. The gloves are so that I don't copy any more abilities or powers anymore thru physical contact with my hands. They are essentially indestructible so I don't have to worry about outside sources destroying them."
"And when were you going to tell me about the new power/abilities that you gained?" Fury asked slightly annoyed
"Who said that I needed to? I gave you a list of the abilities that I had at the time. You never said that I had to keep you updated." Naruto pointed out
"Will you give me an updated list?" Fury asked
"Nope. You don't need it, and if you really want to know then you will have to wait till I reveal each and every new ability/power. It is at my discretion to tell you." Naruto answered "Just because I said that I only answer to you doesn't mean you can order me around or order things from me per say." he added causing Fury to sigh and shake his head
"Anyways, Tony. How's that working out for you?" Fury asked before he took a sip of his coffee
"Look, I don't want to get off on the wrong foot. Do I look you in the eye or the patch?" Tony asked
"Just look me in the eye. Anyways, that high tech puzzle on your neck ain't looking so good" Fury said taking note of the 'effect' that the arc reactor was having on Tony
"Nice of you to join us, Natasha." Naruto said not even looking in her direction as she walked up, shocking Fury at the fact that he knew 'Natalie's' real name
"We've secured the perimeter but I do not think we should hold it for too much longer." Natasha told Fury before she turned to Naruto "That was quite the stunt you pulled in Monaco." she commented
Naruto turned to Fury "Did you really need to have the perimeter secured with me here?"
Fury turned to Naruto "How the hell do you even know Agent Romanoff's name?"
Naruto shrugged his shoulders "I noticed that something was off about her when I first met her as Tony and Pepper's new assistant so I read her mind to determine whether or not she was a threat."
Fury turned to Natasha "And you let him put his hands on you?" confusing Natasha
"Sir, with all due respect, he never laid a hand on me." Natasha corrected Fury
Fury then turned back to Naruto "How the hell were you able to read her mind without physical contact?"
Naruto smiled "One of my new abilities, Telepathy, as well as the one that you saw at Monaco, Telekinesis. Not only can I read minds without physical contact anymore but I can also rewrite and erase memories, as well as feel emotions." causing Fury to groan
"You are going to be the death of me." Fury commented
"I doubt that." Naruto shot back
"Can you all stop acting like I am not here?" Tony finally spoke up reminding them all that he was still there before he turned to Naruto "So that's what you meant by nothing bad when we first met her."
Tony then turned to Fury "Normally I would fire her but I doubt that you would let that happen." to which Fury nodded
"Meet Agent Romanoff, or Natasha Romanoff, seeing as Naruto already outted her first name." Fury explained before Natasha took a seat beside Fury
"Hi, I'm a S.H.I.E.L.D. shadow. Once we knew you were ill, I was tasked to you by Director Fury." Natasha informed him before she turned to Naruto "I do appreciate that you didn't straight up out me when you found out who I was." to which Naruto nodded
"Not a problem, I see no harm in what you are doing." Naruto said before he turned to Fury "I would also appreciate it if you didn't inject Tony with what you were planning on injecting him with, my wife and I are perfectly capable of keeping Tony in good health."
"Do me a favor and don't read my mind." Fury asked
"I can control it to a very good extent, while I don't actively read people's minds I still do hear thoughts of people very close to me as the proximity makes it hard to block out. I am actively working on reducing the proximity that it happens though." Naruto explained
"Anyways, you have been very busy Mr. Stark, married your assistant, promoted her to Co-CEO, and got a child on the way. You also made your best buddy a suit of armor." Fury explained
"1. I have had feelings for Pepper for a while, I just needed a little push to act on those feelings, Naruto gave me that push, 2. I promoted her to Co-CEO as Stark Industries is a family business and seeing as she is now family it's fitting, 3. My family business is none of your business or concern, 4. As you probably heard from the hearing with Senator Stern, I gave Rhodey, and by proxy the military a single suit for the sole purpose of defending the country, they are not allowed to use the suit aggressively, only defensively." Tony explained irritated at Fury nitpicking his life choices
"What do you want from me?" Tony demanded, this irritated Fury
"What do we want from you? Nah-uh. What do you want from me? You have become a problem, one of the 2 in this room, a problem that I have to deal with. Contrary to your belief, you are not the center of my universe. I have bigger problems than you, Naruto's whole situation being one of them, as well as in the southwest region to deal with." Fury ranted before he turned to Naruto "I assume that you will have your wife do something to take the edge off of the arc reactor's effect on Tony. We need him to get back to work." to which Naruto nodded
"I'll have her reverse some of the heavy metal poisoning that Tony is suffering from, but I can not have her fully reverse it per request of an outside source." Naruto explained getting Fury's attention
"And who might I ask is this outside source? You seem to be quite a bit more lenient with them." Fury asked
"I am not at liberty to reveal their Identity as they wish to remain hidden." Naruto answered causing Fury to groan
"Anyways, I have been looking for a suitable replacement for palladium for the past 2 and a half months. I've tried every combination, every permutation of every known element." Tony informed Fury
"Well, I'm here to tell you that you haven't tried them all." Fury told Tony before he motioned for Natasha to get up before he out of out the stall "Agent Romanoff will remain undercover in Stark Industries, but I have to get going." before he walked off followed by Natasha
Naruto then turned to Tony "Lets get you to my house so that Sakura can reverse some of the effects of the heavy metal poisoning." before Tony nodded as he got up and Naruto grabbed his shoulder and they teleported to Naruto's house before he called Sakura and told her he needed her to come home and reverse some of the heavy metal poisoning.
(Later that day – Tony's Mansion)
Naruto and Tony were in his workshop when suddenly Naruto perked up "Fury and others are here let's go greet them." before they both got up and went to greet Fury and his men.
When they got upstairs they found that Fury was standing in the middle of Tony's living room, with several men in black suits posted all around the house and outside of the house.
"Fury is all the agents really necessary? You don't need them with me here." Naruto asked
"One can never be too careful Naruto." Fury answered before he motioned for Tony to take a seat, as he sat down on the couch
"That thing in your chest is based on unfinished technology." Fury told Tony
Tony shook his head "No, it was finished. It just has never been particularly effective until I managed to miniaturize it and put it in my chest."
"No. Howard said the arc reactor was the stepping stone to something much greater. He was about to kick off an energy race that was gonna completely dwarf the arms race. He was on to something big, something so big that it was gonna make the nuclear reactor look like a small AAA battery." Fury explained before Tony poured himself a drink
"Just him, or was Anton Vanko in on this, too?" Tony asked
"Anton Vank is the flip side of the coin. Anton saw it as a way to get rich. When your father found out, he had him deported. When the Russians found out he couldn't deliver, they shipped his ass off to Siberia and he spent the next 20 years in a vodka-fuelled rage. Not quite the environment you want to raise a kid in, Ivan Vanko, the son you had the misfortune of crossing paths with, in Monaco." Fury answered
"You told me I hadn't tried everything. What do you mean I haven't tried everything? What haven't I tried?" Tony asked
"He said that you were the only person with the means and knowledge to finish what he started." Fury answered again
"He said that? My father said that about me cause that's not how I remember him treating me." Tony stated
"Are you that guy? Are you?" Fury asked "Cause if you are, then you can solve the riddle that is your heart." before 2 S.H.I.E.l.D. Agents walked in with a metal crate and set it down in front of Tony
"Did you know my father?" Tony asked
"As a matter of fact, I did. He was one of the founding members of S.H.I.E.L.D." Fury answered as he looked at his watch before he got up
"What?" Tony said shocked
"I've got a 2:00." Fury stated before Coulson and Natasha walked up "You remember Agent Coulson." to which Tony nodded before Fury started walking away "Oh and Tony remember, I have my eye on you." before he continued on his way.
"We've disabled all communications. No contact with the outside world. Good Luck" Natasha stated before she walked off heading for Pepper's office at Stark Industries
Tony then turned to Coulson "What are you here for?"
"I have been authorized by Director Fury to use any means necessary to keep you on-premises." Coulson answered
Tony looked to Naruto, then back to Coulson before he busted up laughing "You really think you will be able to do that with Naruto here?"
"Tony don't get cocky, I'll let him do it." Naruto stated with a smile that shut Tony right up
Tony then turned to Naruto "Can you at least go and get me a coffee at Starbucks?"
Naruto seeing that Tony couldn't leave the premises reluctantly agreed "Yea, sure." before he left to go and get Tony his Starbuck.
And with that Tony grabbed the metal crate and dragged it down into his workshop and got to work. Naruto returned shortly after with Starbucks.
(A few hours later)
Tony had been going thru his dad's stuff for about 2 hours and had been playing the tapes that were left to him. Tony had seen a message that his dad had left him in the tapes, telling him how much he meant to him, that he was his greatest creation, and that he knew he would do great things. All the while Naruto had been meditating when suddenly Tony got up getting Naruto's attention.
"I want to go see Pepper." Tony stated before he called Pepper
"Hey Honey, need something?" Pepper asked answering the phone
"Are you alone right now?" Tony asked back
"Yea, I'm just in the office why?" Pepper answered
"Great, see if you in a second." Tony said before hanging up the phone as he turned to Naruto
"You mind giving me a lift to Pepper?" he asked
Naruto got up from meditating "Sure, hold on." before he grabbed Tony and they were gone in a flash
(Pepper's office)
Pepper had just put down her phone and was now expecting Tony. A few seconds later there was a flash of orange revealing Naruto and her Husband. Pepper got up from her seat to go and greet Tony, Tony hugged his wife and gave her a kiss.
"I missed you being cooped up in my workshop." Tony said
"I miss you too Honey, but as you can see I was working. But now that you are here can you do something about your stuff in the corner?" Pepper asked pointing to the pile of stuff in the corner that was Tony's, there was something particularly big covered by a cloth that caught Tony's attention
Tony walked over to the cloth and pulled it off
"You guys do know that I can just seal it away for easy storage." Naruto said as Tony just stared at the massive replicate of what was supposed to be a Stark Expo.
Pepper turned to Naruto "Are you serious?" to which Naruto nodded
"Do you have a sheet of paper?" Naruto asked before Pepper handed him a blank sheet of paper, Naruto grabbed the sheet of paper before writing crawled onto it.
Just then Natasha and Happy walked in "Mrs. Stark, wheels up in 25."
"Great, just finishing something up." Pepper said before she turned to Naruto "I can trust that you guys will take care of Tony's stuff in the corner, right?" to which Naruto nodded
"Boss how did you get here, I don't see your car parked outside?" Happy asked confused
"I brought him. Don't think too much into it, some things are better left unsaid." Naruto answered, that satisfied Happy considering the whole Monaco incident
After that Pepper gathered her things and left with Happy following behind her. Natasha continued to gather stuff that was on Pepper's desk.
"Shouldn't you be in your garage working on a solution to the problem with your heart?" Natasha asked sending Naruto a glare causing him to chuckle
"You don't scare me, Natasha. I've faced animals scarier than you." Naruto commented at that Natasha walked out to catch up with Pepper
Naruto then walked up to the pile of files and other stuff that was Tony's and set the paper down before he piled it all on the paper. Naruto then channeled some chakra before pushing it into the paper and all the files disappeared in a puff of smoke. Naruto then rolled up the piece of paper and put it in his pocket, before Tony turned to him.
"We are taking this replica with us. I feel like it's the keep to the puzzle." Tony said before Naruto sealed it away in a separate paper that he grabbed from Pepper's desk before he grabbed Tony and they teleported back to Tony's mansion with the 2 papers.
(Tony's Mansion)
Naruto and Tony had reappeared in Tony's workshop in a flash of orange. Naruto unsealed the replica and Tony quickly put it together.
"J.A.R.V.I.S. scan and Vac-U-Form a digital wireframe. I need a manipulatable projection." Tony instructed as J.A.R.V.I.S. scanned and created a holographic copy of the replica
"1974 Stark Expo model scan complete, sir." J.A.R.V.I.S. announced as Tony 'lifted' and 'moved' the holographic replica
"How many buildings are there?" Tony asked before J.A.R.V.I.S. highlighted all the buildings
"Yo, Naruto what does that look like to you?" Tony asked rhetorically
"Kinda like a cluttered model of an atom." Naruto answered
"My thoughts exactly." Tony stated before he put his finger in the unisphere "Highlight this." before it became orange as Tony enlarged it
"Get rid of the footpaths." Tony said before he swatted them away
"What are you trying to achieve sir?" J.A.R.V.I.S. asked
"I'm rediscovering a new element, I believe." Tony answered "Lose the landscaping, shrubbery, trees, parking lots, exit, entrances." as he started swatting things away
Soon only a few things were left "Structure the protons and the neutrons using the pavilions as a framework." as J.A.R.V.I.S. did what he was told and rendered the model.
Tony facepalmed before he blew up the hologram "Dead for almost 20 years, and still taking me to school." before Tony clapped his hands shrinking the hologram into the palm of his hand
"The proposed element should serve as a viable replacement for palladium." J.A.R.V.I.S. informed
"Thanks, dad." Tony said gratefully
"Unfortunately it is impossible to synthesize." J.A.R.V.I.S. added
Tony then turned to Naruto "You wouldn't be able to help me with this would you?" causing Naruto to open his eyes from meditating
"Well, what do you need?" Naruto asked
"I need a particle accelerator to synthesize this new element. I don't think that they would et me borrow the big one, so I need a smaller, miniature one. Do you know anything about Particle Accelerators?" Tony asked causing Naruto to chuckle
"Yea, I know a lot about them considering my other self helped build one and a particle accelerator is the reason I have the powers I have now." Naruto answered "I can make one about the size of your workshop. If you need."
"Lets do it then, what do you need help with?" Tony asked rubbing his hands together
"Don't really need any help. I'll just have to seal away your cars temporarily so that we have enough room." Naruto answered before walking over to each car and stomping his foot
When he stomped his foot grey symbols/writing crawled out from under his foot settling under each car. Naruto then bent down and channeled chakra into the writing and each car disappeared in a puff of smoke amazing Tony. Naruto then got to work on creating the parts that he needed to make Tony the miniature particle accelerator. It took Naruto about 2 hours to fully complete it, meanwhile Tony worked on making the new core that would be put in the particle accelerator as well as a new reactor to for the modified core.
After Naruto got done making everything Coulson came down "I heard that you broke the perimeter."
"That was a few hours ago. Where were you?" Tony asked
"Doing stuff." Coulson answered "Anyways I have been reassigned. Director Fury wants me in New Mexico." before he turned to Naruto "You should be getting a call from Fury as well."
Naruto waved him off "Yea, I know, I felt something too."
Tony turned to Naruto "What exactly did you feel?"
"A surge of energy that couldn't have possibly been man-made. This planet isn't advanced enough to have put off what I felt. It wasn't electricity, dark matter, anything that has been discovered by man." Naruto answered "Anyways Tony let's get this thing synthesized.
Tony then handed Naruto the core that Tony had made, Naruto placed the core in the compartment he had created for it and went to another section that he made so that he could input energy into the mini particle accelerator. Coulson watched as Naruto grabbed onto 2 metal rods as sparks started to dance around his hands as Naruto started channeling a massive amount of lightning chakra. Naruto did this for about 30 seconds before Tony told him to stop. At this Coulson left, with him being needed in New Mexico.
Naruto then pulled out the modified core as Tony brought over the new arc reactor and Naruto dropped the modified core inside.
"Congratulations, sir. You have created a new element. The reactor has accepted the modified core. I will begin running diagnostics." J.A.R.V.I.S. announced
(A few hours later)
Naruto was meditating while Tony waited for J.A.R.V.I.S. to finish running diagnostics when suddenly the phone rang.
"Incoming call with a blocked number, sir." J.A.R.V.I.S. announced
"My phone privileges have been reinstated. Lovely." Tony said before he answered the phone
"Hey, Tony, How you doing?" Ivan chuckled "I doubled cycle."
Tony turned to Naruto who was already way ahead of him and had already started mentally tracing the call as he motioned Tony to keep him on the line so he could do it.
"I'm sorry you doubled what?" Tony asked confused as to how the hell a dead man was speaking from the grave
"You told me double cycle's more power. Good advice." Ivan answered
"You sound pretty sprightly for a guy who is supposed to be dead." Tony joked
"I could say same." Ivan said back "Now, true history of Stark name will be written. What your father did to my family over 40 years, I will do to you in 40 minutes, I think that I will start with your wife."
This enraged Tony and Naruto "You leave my wife out of this. This is between you and me." Tony demanded
"Ivan, I suggest that you rethink your plan, cause it won't end well for you." Naruto warned
"Ah, Uzumaki. Quite the little show that you put on at Monaco. Good to know that you are with Tony as well. That means that Mrs. Stark is alone." Ivan said "I hope you are ready." before he hung up the phone
Tony turned to Naruto "Tell me you were able to trace the call." he said panicking
"He was routing it thru to many satellites. I managed to pinpoint it to a general area. Tri-State area. Manhattan and outlying boroughs." Naruto answered "Calm down Tony. You know I would never let anything happen to your family."
This calmed Tony down a good bit "I want you to go and cover Pepper. I've got my bracelet in case I need you."
Naruto nodded before calling Pepper up "Hey Naruto, what's up?"
"Are you alone? Are you in a car? Tony wants me to cover you as Ivan Vanko is still alive and threatened your life." Naruto answered
"No, I'm with Happy and Natalie heading to the Stark Expo to see Rhodey's suit unveiled. It's happening during Justin's presentation, see if we need to take legal action if he copied anything." Pepper explained
"Good, I'll meet you there." Naruto said before he hung up the phone "Alright, I'll cover Pepper you get suited up and head for the Expo. If Ivan plans on dealing damage to your family name it will probably be at the Expo." and with that Naruto suited up and took off as Tony walked over to the new reactor and popped it into his chest
"Sir." J.A.R.V.I.S. attempted to speak up
"I don't want to hear it. You want to run some tests, run them. And while you're at it assemble the suit while you're at it, put it together." Tony instructed
"Sir, we are unclear as to the effects…" J.A.R.V.I.S. attempted to reason with Tony
"I don't want to hear it, Jarvis." Tony demanded as the new reactor went to work and the heavy metal poisoning reversed before their very eyes as it glowed brightly "Ah, that tastes like Coconut and Metal."
(A few minutes later – Stark Expo)
Naruto flew to the Stark Expo and had been waiting for Pepper and company. Finally Happy had pulled up with Pepper and Natasha.
Pepper and Natasha had gotten out of the car "Keep the car running." she told Happy before they walked up to Naruto
"Where is Tony?"
"He is on his way here." Naruto replied "We should get inside, the presentation is starting.", Pepper nodded as Naruto led the way with Pepper and Natasha not far behind
Naruto, Natasha, and Pepper took their seats as the presentation got started "That's what I'm talking about. Thanks for coming. Ladies and gentlemen, for far too long, this country has had to place brave men and women in harm's way, but then the Iron Man arrived, and we thought the days of losing lives were behind us. Sadly, that technology was kept out of reach. Save for 1. That's not fair. That's not right. And it's just too bad." Justin spoke before Naruto, and Pepper rolled their eyes
"Oh, Lord." Pepper sighed
"Regardless, it was an impressive innovation, one that grabbed headlines the world over. Well, today, my friends, the press is faced with a quite a different problem. They are about to run out of ink." Justin continued before some people ran out onto the stage and grabbed the podium that he was standing out "Get that out of here." before Justin paused "Ladies and gentlemen, today I present to you the new face of the United States military. The Hammer Drone!" as he pointed in what seemed to be a random direction.
"Army!" as drones rose up out of the stage on a stand sporting large artillery guns like a sniper or tank
"Navy!" as he pointed in another direction, these ones sporting what looked to be like missile launchers
"Air Force!" as he pointed in another direction, these ones didn't seem to be sporting any kind of weaponry
"Marines!" as before a final batch of 'Hammer Drones' were raised onto the stage for everyone to view, these ones were covered in camo paint but didn't seem to have any weaponry either
"Yeah! Yeah! Whoo! That's a hell of a lot better than some cheerleaders, let me tell you. But as revolutionary as this technology is, there will always be a need for man to be present in the theater of war. Ladies and Gentleman, today I am proud to present to you, the very first prototype in the Variable Threat Response Battle Suit, and its pilot, Air Force Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes." Justin spoke before he motioned to an area in front of him, and out rose Rhodey in his 'Peace Keeper' Suit.
Rhodey saluted and was quickly followed by the 'Hammer Drones' and Justin "For America and its allies, Hammer Industries is reporting for…" but he was cut off by a low rumbling in the distance.
Everyone turned their attention to the skies and watched as Tony approached the stage. Tony flew up to the stage and landed before the crowd erupted in cheers.
"We got trouble." Tony informed Rhodey
"There are civilians here. I'm here on orders." Rhodey responded as Tony walked up to his side putting his hand on Rhodey's armored shoulder
"All these people are in danger. We gotta get them out of here. Not sure if Naruto will help but we have to get them out of here." Tony explained "Listen, I think that he is working with Vanko."
"Ivan Vanko is alive?" Rhodey asked skeptically before Tony walked up to Justin
"Where is he?" Tony demanded
"What?" Justin asked acting dumb
"Justin now is not time for your games. Where is Vanko?" Tony demanded not taking any of his bullshit
Just then something began to hack into the PeaceKeeper "Woah, Woah, Woah." as the minigun on the PeaceKeeper sprung to life
"Is that you?" Tony asked confused
"Nope, that is not me. I can't move. I'm locked up. I'm locked up!" Rhodey said confused as to what was happening, just then the Hammer Drones sprung to life aiming at the crowd
Naruto immediately suited up catching everyone around him minus Pepper and Natasha by surprise as he could mentally hear/sense Peace Keeper's suit being hacked along with the Hammer Drones being activated and ordered around.
"EVERYONE GET OUT OF HERE!" Naruto called out, at that Tony took to the sky as the Hammer Drones started firing at him shattering the glass
"Naruto, keep Pepper and the crowd safe. I'll handle the skies." Tony ordered over comms
"You got it." Naruto replied before PeaceKeeper and several squads of Hammer Drones engaged thrusters and took to the skies after Tony.
Naruto erected a telekinetic shield that caught all of the glass keeping it from falling on the crowd as they watched the glass just float in the air before Naruto directed it to the stage and dumped it all on the stage. All in the span of 3 seconds, after that the rest of the Hammer Drones sprung into action and jumped off the stage. Naruto then turned to Natasha, "Find Hammer, Get answers I'll be right behind you. I've got to make sure that everyone gets out of here safely. Take Pepper with you."
Natasha nodded before she ushered Pepper towards the back room of the stage as Naruto started speeding around getting everyone to safety outside away from the Hammer Drones before he rejoined Natasha and Pepper as they made their way backstage.
"JUSTIN." Naruto called out as they reached the backstage room
"He has locked us out of the mainframe." one man said
"Who's locked you out of the mainframe?" Pepper asked as she made her way over to Justin followed quickly by Naruto and Natasha
"Please, please, go away. Go away." Justin insisted trying to shoo them away "I've got this handled."
"Have you now?" Pepper asked sarcastically before she turned to Naruto
Naruto having read her mind moved her aside and made his way to the table, only for Justin to get in his way "Justin get the fuck out of my way so I can fix this mess before I move you forcefully."
Justin reluctantly moved "Kyle get up and let him take a seat."
"I don't need access to the computer to breakthrough." Naruto commented before he mentally broke thru the firewall and the mainframe and shut down the Hammer Drones "Done. Natasha the signal came from Hammer Industries. Ivan must be there." before Natasha nodded and headed for the car
All while this happened Pepper called the police getting Justin's attention "I need NYPD, please."
"No, no, no!" Justin panicked as he tried to take the phone away from Pepper
"Justin, I dare you to lay a hand on Pepper. Give me a reason to break your arm, please. You don't know what I am capable of but I can guarantee you that I can easily snap your arm like a toothpick." Naruto barked instantly making Justin back down
"You and Tony are so lucky you have an escaped government lab experiment for a bodyguard." Justin said
A couple minutes Naruto and Pepper heard Natasha thru the computer "Reboot complete. You got your best friend back."
"Thank you very much, Agent Romanoff." Tony said "Naruto, is Pepper okay? Is she safe?"
"Yeah, she is fine right beside me." Naruto answered
"Well done with the new chest piece. I am reading significantly higher output and your vitals now all look promising." Natasha said
"What does she mean your vitals now all look promising?" Pepper asked before Tony and Naruto facepalmed at the can of worms that Natasha had just opened "You mean to tell me that what I saw on your birthday was something?" before she turned to Naruto "And you let him keep it from me? Both you and Sakura."
"Pepper it's not their fault. I wanted to keep it from you as I didn't want to cause you any unnecessary stress because of your pregnancy." Tony admitted trying to diffuse the situation
"Tony you got a big target headed your way. I am reading significantly higher energy readings from this one and I can't shut it down." Natasha announced before she went silent
A couple seconds later NYPD showed up and took Justin away. Naruto told them that he would take care of Pepper and they all headed out. Naruto suddenly picked up something a ways away with his super hearing, suddenly Hagoromo spoke up.
"Sir, Nick Fury is calling, do you want to answer?" Hagoromo asked
"Yes, answer the call. Fury wouldn't be calling if it wasn't urgent." Naruto answered before Hagoromo picked the call up "What's up Fury? Must be important if you are calling."
"It is, we have a situation down in Harlem, Hulk and 1 other by the name of Emil Blonsky. Apparently Dr. Banner was trying to find a cure, Emil got his hands on some of Banner's blood and now shit has hit the fan. Can I ask you to run crowd control and make sure that not too many people get hurt?" Fury asked
"Yeah, I'll do what I can to keep damage and casualties to a minimum." Naruto answered "Let me just drop off Pepper at home and I will be right there."
After Naruto hung up the phone he turned to Pepper "I have to take you home and come back. There is a situation in Harlem that requires my attention." Pepper nods before Naruto created a clone that grabed Pepper and teleported to Tony's mansion before Naruto suits up and flies off towards Harlem.
(Harlem – a minute later)
As Naruto got closer he saw the damage that Emil and Hulk had caused, as he flew by Naruto uses Gale Palm and put out fires before he headed towards the sound of gunfire. Naruto saw what he assumes is Emil hanging onto a helicopter with Hulk hanging on by his foot.
Naruto saw it was going to crash and went to intercept it much to the surprise of the pilot and Thaddeus Ross, Hulk, and Emil. Naruto caught the plane before it crashed and set it down gently.
"Emil let go of the helicopter before I make you." Naruto commanded
Emil growled before he let go of the Helicopter and charged Naruto. Naruto simply batted him away before he turned to Hulk "Banner. I know you are in there, take care of Emil. I'll make sure that nothing happens to these people."
Hulk could easily sense the strength and power of Naruto and nodded before he turned his attention to Emil and charged him. Naruto then got the Helicopter back in the air repairing the helicopter enough to stay airborne via his Technopathy.
Naruto and everyone in the helicopter watch as Hulk and Emil duke it out. Emil managed to slug Hulk hard enough to send him to the ground. Emil then attempted to jump at the helicopter but was swatted back by Naruto. Emil seeing that it wasn't going to work went for a ranged approach and grabed a chain with 2 cinderblocks attached and swung one at Naruto only for it to shatter on impact. Hulk then grabed the chains and begins to choke out Emil, just as Hulk is about to kill Emil Betty called out.
"STOP!" Betty said before Hulk looks at her
Hulk reluctantly lets go of Emil as Army and Police close in on the rooftop. Naruto walked up and placed his hand on Emil's chest and drained him of the Natural Energy that he absorbed turning him back into a man.
"What the hell did you just do?" General Ross called out from the back of the helicopter
"I drained him of the Natural Energy that he absorbed. That's what caused his transformation." Naruto answered before he grabbed Emil, placing a seal on him so he wouldn't be able to absorb any more Natural Energy, and flew up to the helicopter tossing him in the back "Might want to put some restraints on him. He is an unstable one." before Naruto turned back to Hulk
"Go. You know as well as I do that you can't have a relationship with Betty as long as Ross is in the picture." Naruto told him before he mentally imparted him with knowledge of how to contact him if he ever needed
Hulk growled before spots lights turn on from a nearby helicopter signifying that he needed to flee unless he wanted to be caught again. And with that Hulk began jumping from building to building getting away from the helicopters. Naruto then turned around to face Betty and Ross.
"Why the hell did you let him get away? He is a wanted man." Ross asked demanding answers
"The only reason that he is a wanted man is because you branded him as one. When in reality he isn't, I know that you just want him so you can create super soldiers." Naruto answered before he turned to Betty "You and him are not meant to be together as long as General Power Hungry is in the picture. Move on." causing Betty to laugh and Ross to growl before Naruto took off into the sky's headed back home.
(The next day – Random Warehouse)
Fury had called Tony and told him to meet him at a secure warehouse. Naruto went with him because he knew what it was about and decided to come with him for the hell of it.
"So let me get this straight. You only want me as a consultant for your Avengers Initiative?" Tony asked as he looked at the folder in front of him
"We only want Iron Man, and seeing as you are Iron man but not all the time this is what we came up with." Fury corrected
Tony then looked at Fury "Am I to assume that Naruto is also part of this Avengers Initiative?"
"Something like that yeah." Fury answered
Tony pondered for a second "Yea, sure I'm in." before he stuck his hand out for Fury to shake.
Fury took his hand and shook it "I'd like to welcome you as a consultant to S.H.I.E.L.D., Mr. Stark."
