Hey guys! Here we are again for another chapter! This one is another mixed chapter, so expect some in person interactions. It's time for details to be shared and connections to be shown. Things are about to get interesting.
Before that, however, let's answer some reviews.
L_GS: Maybe. Or maybe they met a long time ago and they just don't remember. You'll see at some point.
Fregreg: Glad you liked the chapter. I liked so many different aspects from everyone's ideas that I liked, and I couldn't just choose one. It was indeed a very good guess, though this Akuma basically just whisked the attack away, so the beans didn't even hit him. I wanted to show Danny getting stronger, as well as how important Juleka is starting to become to him. As for your guess on Maddie's punishment realm, I can't really talk about it.
4of7jkids: Awakening involves special rings, just like Chloe's did. The rings will be unique for each person. This was Danny's ghost powers evolving due to his obsession being endangered and, as you stated, emotional overload.
The_Keeper_of_Worlds: Glad it was to your liking! I figured even in his enraged state something integral to him would show through, at least this time. Chloe will definitely have some fun with any plans they have.
Njistar: Glad you love it! Rose and Juleka don't really know about Chloe and the others' plans. Still, you're probably right.

P96822: In a way he did, though it's not an awakening. Glad you liked it! You wouldn't happen to mean X-treme fight from the Digimon reboot? Think of the Purple Tigress moment as more of a hint to what could have helped. It's also a bit of a teaser, though she would definitely be more of a Ladybug to Danny.
All three of them in the same place would be a punishment to someone. Ben 10 is still kinda in the consideration stage, but those are some good ideas. It is interesting that no one has thought about that.
Classiccartoon27: I haven't seen that series, but it sounds neat. Oh, Hawkmoth felt defeat alright. It was obvious that he felt pain from that. Chloe's little war is definitely going to be interesting. Yeah, I figured that the chapter was getting long enough, and the orbs were supposed to be inescapable.
lilyofthestars: Glad you liked it! I had a lot of fun planning out the akuma fight, especially the scene where Danny digs deep into his power. We will see if Jack and Maddie are prepared or not. I'm happy that the outfits are such a hit! Here's the next chapter so guess now's the time to see if it is, lol.
Omni-Trickery: Ah! That makes more sense. I'd say that unless it's possible to be more intangible or less intangible, two beings that are intangible should be able to touch each other.
Just wait a chapter or so on that last bit. You'll see just what kind of things the JL and the Avengers are planning. It'll definitely be worth the wait, guaranteed.
TiamatDragoness: Glad you think so! Chloe will be helped in her schemes on a larger scale this time so things should be interesting. There will also be more of the Fentons in Paris, so don't worry about that.
Solarpunk_Witch: I can't wait to have all of the various subplots come together as well. Everyone has it in their heads that Danny and Marinette are Dick's lost siblings. Let's see what comes of that.
Speedykitten1643: I never get notifications for when stories update on Ao3. I think that's just a thing with this site. The vacation is definitely going to get interesting. We'll just have to see what happens.
Chase: We'll just have to see whether that happens or not, won't we?

Hey Ivan.
Yeah, I've got some time.
I was just helping Rose schedule a meeting for a plan to get some friends together in the romantic sense.
DrumSkull: Cool.
So, I'm doing this for both myself and Mylene.
We were allowed to go to the library during our grounding and were able to see each other.
While there, we agreed to look up everything Lila ever said around one of us.
Almost everything she told us was a lie, save for her mother being an Italian Emissary.
I asked Mylene to let me do the apologizing just in case this somehow got back to Lila.
Mousegirl15: I understand your concern completely, Ivan.
Lila can be really fierce when it comes to taking vengeance.
I tried to get her to stop lying as she was starting to go too far, but she threatened me in the bathroom.
DrumSkull: I'm sorry what!?
Marinette, why didn't you just tell us!?
You know we don't take crap like that around here!
Mousegirl15: Relax Ivan.
Remember to breathe so Hawkmoth doesn't try to akumatize you.
DrumSkull: Right.
Thanks for catching me on that.
Mousegirl15: No problem.
Anyway, with how everything was it probably would have backfired.
Plus, I was listening to Adrien and trying to take the high ground.
In all honesty I probably should have told him about the threatening.
DrumSkull: With how sheltered he is you really should have.
I may be known as a brute, but even I know that really doesn't work in Lila's case.
Mousegirl15: Well hindsight is 20/20.
Still, thanks for looking out for me.
Say, do you know when Mylene will be able to be online?
DrumSkull: I can't exactly remember.
It might even be today.
Mousegirl15: In that case, whenever you both are available, I might just invite you to a group I'm in.
It's both a gaming and a support group.
I started it with some American friends and some of the others are in too.
Just don't be surprised if you see Chloe and Sabrina in the group.
Chloe and I actually made up recently, so please don't be too hard on her if you see her.
DrumSkull: I'll have to see it to believe it.
She hurt all of us in her own ways.
If she really is better, she'll have a lot to prove to me.
Mousegirl15: She's actually on a personal journey so she might welcome the chance.

I feel like you deserve a direct apology from both of us.
Otherwise, I'm just hiding behind Ivan like normal.
I really am sorry for being silent on the whole matter.
I'm also sorry for listening to Lila over you, one of my closest friends.
It was wrong for us to put you in that bad of a situation.
Mousegirl15: As I told Ivan, I can't say that what happened was okay.
All I can say is that I appreciate you reaching out.
I really wish you would have let Ivan handle it.
Now we'll both be worrying about if Lila finds out about this.

I'm going to try and toughen up so that I can be helpful in scary situations like this one.
I wanna go back to the whole class being friends again, at least everyone but Lila.

I only said a long time because I can't tell you how long it'll take.
How far out of your grounding are you?
SmellyWolf10: I can only directly talk to you and Ivan.
My parents want to make sure that everything's okay before I start messaging anyone else.
Mousegirl15: Well I was thinking of inviting you and Ivan to a server some friends and I put together.
It's a support server and also a place to hang out.
SmellyWolf10: That sounds like so much fun!
Mousegirl15: I know, right!?
I will let you know that Chloe and Sabrina are in the chat too.
Chloe and I actually made up recently and Sabrina joined with her.
I know she's caused problems for everyone but if you do join us, all I ask is that you give her the benefit of the doubt.

Whether she's there or not, I probably won't talk much.
After seeing what Lila did to us, I'm kinda cautious around new people.
Mousegirl15: Well I did say it was also a support group.
If you ever want to talk about what happened there are members who are happy to help.

To be honest I think everyone in Paris needs someone to help them talk through their emotions.
Mousegirl15: Oh I can't agree with you more.
One of our members is studying Psychology so she might be a good fit to handle some of Paris's trauma.
SmellyWolf10: Sounds great to me.
Mousegirl15: Anyway, I have a commission to finish.

Nino quickly knocked on the door to the Césaire apartment. He had recently been ungrounded due to his efforts to clean up his act. He talked with his parents several times about the situation with Alya and Lila. With how the girl had responded when he brought up the fact that what she did to Marinette was wrong, he really needed to put his foot down. With the help of his parents, he came up with an ultimatum to give to the girl.
That is, until his mother received a panicked call from Mrs. Césaire. Apparently, something was wrong with Alya, to the point where even her older sister couldn't get through to her. Upon hearing something about locking herself in her room, the boy had to run over to see what was happening. Thus, the reason he was here, and his foot tapping increased the more he thought about everything. The door was soon opened by Mrs. Césaire, a look of concern on her face.
"Thank you for coming on such short notice." Greeted the woman. Nino quickly walked in, being followed by the matriarch of the household. "She snuck out recently to be in the city with Lila. After she came back, she started rambling the word 'no' repeatedly." Nino looked towards her in concern.
"Why would she do that?" questioned the concerned boyfriend. "Did she tell you anything?" The woman shook her head in denial.
"All she would do was mumble about cats and some 'Ali' person. I wish we didn't give her access to the internet again. All she does is print out completely random photos and take read thread from my sewing kit. She hasn't come out of her room for the past week. I was too scared to call the police as I thought she might be sent to a psychiatric ward or something."
Nino came to a stop as he caught a glimpse of Alya's door. To his shock it looked like some of the red thread and paper shreds were sticking through the door. "I hope you have some way to reach her. I'm more worried now than I was when she was being prosecuted for the slap." Nino slowly approached the door, hesitating a bit before knocking.
"Yo Alya? It's me, Nino! You're scaring your folks and you're honestly starting to scare me. Open up!" To his surprise the door was unlatched suddenly, causing it to fly open from pressure.
The boy eeped a bit as he stood on one foot. He quickly regained his resolve as he walked into the dimmed room. It looked like the reason for said dimness was a piece of paper obscuring the ceiling light. Nino removed the object from the fixture, finding that it was a cut out of Jagged Stone's crocodile. Upon looking to the rest of the room, he found that it looked like a conspiracy theorist's room or a cartoon investigator's office during a hard case.
"Jagged Stone never had a kitten." Whispered a familiar voice. "He had a crocodile for a long time. How could he ever take care of a kitten without his crocodile eating it? Then there's the claims to know several people who died before she was ever born…" Nino slowly turned towards the owner if the voice, his eyes widening in shock.
Alya was standing on a wooden chair, pinning up a picture of a cat that was "X"-ed out with red highlighter to her wall. Her hair was disheveled, and it was obvious that she hadn't bathed during her time in the room. Her shirt was torn in some places and her cheeks were tearstained with mascara that had been there for a long time. She completely ignored her boyfriend as she walked over to the other side of the room. He cleared his throat as he tried to get her attention.
"Alya? What are you doing? This is a huge mess! You look like a huge mess!" He was ignored once again as the girl began to cut out a picture of Prince Ali, Rose's celebrity crush.
"Then there's Prince Ali's charity. The one she mentioned working with doesn't exist. She even got the location wrong. Then there are no shown symptoms of mental disorders that would bring about a lie disease. That sounds so stupid!"
Alya threw her marcher at the wall, creating a red smear. "Why did I even believe her in the first place!?" The girl then posted the picture to the wall, ignoring it as it fell to the floor. She grabbed another picture and walked back towards her bed, intent on cutting out a certain piece. Nino finally grew a spine and stopped his girlfriend in her tracks, holding both of her arms in place.
"Alya Césaire! Look at me and stop for a second! It's me, Nino!" Alya said nothing for a moment, her eyes seemingly adjusting to the sudden interruption. Tears began to form in her eyes as her face twisted in a form of recognition.
"Nino…. Nino? Oh my gosh… NINO!" The girl suddenly wrapped her arms around the boy, sobbing into his shoulder.
Nino was suddenly hit with a wave of body odor, a clear sign that her disheveled look was no exaggeration. In spite of this sensory attack, he didn't push the girl away. Instead, he pulled her deeper into the embrace. Her mother was standing at the door, just as shocked as he was by the state of the wannabe reporter's room. Alya didn't move from the spot as she remained in her boyfriend's embrace.
"I'm here, Alya. Just tell me what's wrong." The girl finally let go of him as she looked him in the eye.
"I've messed up so bad. I've created a monster I don't think I can stop on my own. I need help, badly."
And just like that, another chapter is complete! Ivan and Mylene are finally free enough to send their apologies to Marinette. Mylene also shows an interest in trying to overcome her fearfulness. Also, Nino and Alya finally see each other. Of course, it's not the happiest of reunions as Alya seems to have let the weight of her actions affect her in a negative way.
