Inkaliber: Welcome back everyone! We have another chapter of Miraculous Gamer Guild ahead of us. If you find the title name as a reason to be excited, or if it gives you an idea what this chapter could be about, then you're in for a pleasant surprise.
Jazz: I'll say. Also, thank you for inviting me for this reading. I will admit that I needed time to fully adjust to everything that happened. Not to mention some of the people here really needed someone to talk to. Here's hoping that this chapter will be another good one.
Inkaliber: I hope so too. After all, this is one everyone's been waiting for. To start things off, however, let's answer some reviews.
glennish1966- Glad you like the chapter! You'll just have to wait and see how they react to Haley. You're about to get your wish as far as more Paris.
Fregreg- Yeah, I wanted to write it as Ellie and Jon finally talking about what was going on between them. They would feed her as much as possible, wouldn't they? That is a funny idea for an omake or something, though I don't think I'd have it be canonical.
Njistar- Glad you think so!
Speedykitten1643- Yeah, I wanted to write their attempt at flirting and getting together to be as adorable as it was awkward. It just felt right to have them contemplate actually taking that first step together. Glad my DnD advice was good!
P96822- Well I'm glad Deadpool thinks the Jellie pairing is adorable. I'm just glad you think it's a good chapter. I hope I can catch that slippery booger too.
Blackchilloo- Right now I am looking for a guy to put Sam with. As for Damian and Haley, it's already a possibility on my mind. We'll just have to see if it takes off or not.
The_Keeper_of_Worlds- Thanks!
Edward_Burgen- Yeah. While he could hear everything, that doesn't mean he saw what went on over text and chat messaging. Still, I'm glad I could make Clark's reaction on point.
myslef- You are correct about how young kids hook up. Something to keep in mind as there is a bit of a time skip from DP, ignoring Phantom Planet. That means that Ellie and the others in this group are young teens.
Herebutnotyet- Thanks for the hearts!
Classiccartoon27- Lol. Blame Archive for not doing notifications. I'm glad you like the DnD campaign so far. While it is a bit underhanded, the Justice League has information the Avengers need, and they don't know if they have time to ask nicely and debate over it. As for the next one, I wanted to show Ellie and Jon growing and exploring their feelings both for each other and as themselves. It'll definitely be interesting once she finally meets the rest of the Kents.
Mace- Yeah, I can see what you mean. I just figured I'd get a funny bit to use.
Nicoleispurple- Well of course he is. He isn't your normal person and to hear his son who was having trouble socializing now has a girlfriend is pretty exciting. Not to mention he's trying to be supportive.
Trix- To be fairly honest, I'm not sure that's a good idea. Unless he loses his fairies, he's actually a big story breaker. With the fairies, he can wish away some of the big stuff. So, it'd either have to be no fairies or their magic isn't working for some reason. Either way, I don't want to have a stigma where the kid team only wins certain fights because they can wish their way out of it.
Rocky- Thanks! I love their pairing too. I find the duo to be loveably adorkable.
Inkaliber: Alright! That should be everyone! It's time to get this thing started!
Jazz: That's good. If you don't mind, I just want to observe. I really don't feel like doing disclaimers or taking over.
Inkaliber: That's fine. I can start this myself. In fact, let's do so right now! I don't own Miraculous, Danny Phantom, Marvel, DC, or any other series that show up here. I do own any original characters, concepts, creatures, and places that work their way into the story unless stated otherwise.

Paris, France
Screams could be heard throughout the whole of Paris. A young man could be seen running from a pack of rabid dogs, a little girl running from a small hails storm, and a man in a business suit was running from… a sliding pile of paperwork. A storm cloud also hung over the entire city, sometimes raining down golden sand upon an unsuspecting passerby. It was rather obvious that a massive Akuma attack was going on. A pair of evil laughs could be heard over the panicking city.
A teenage girl with light brownish gray skin, grayish mulberry-colored lipstick, and brilliant violet eyes. Her hair was two tones with dark purple base and very pale blue bangs, while her large, pointed, low-angled twin-tails were striped with dark purple and very pale blue spirals. On her face, she had jagged black face paint that surrounded her eyes and came down to her cheeks as lightning bolts. She wore the following: a tight, muted-color purple and blue two-piece dress that puffed into a curved bell-shape around her waist, had small shoulder puffs with a narrow-ended-tube-shaped collar, and also featured five white lightning bolt patterns that have bright purple outlines; white gloves that reach her elbows with lightning bolts that reach up to her shoulders; muted purple tights with white low heel knee high boots that were angled at the "opening" near the calf; and white boots. In her hand was a dark purple parasol that faded to brighter purple at the tip and had a black handle with a double spearhead at the bottom.
Her companion was a young boy with pale, light grayish sapphire blue skin with white spots that resemble stars, brilliant gold eyebrows, and eyeliner. His hair was purple with curled tips and an upward position with a glowing dotted line on each part, making it look like octopus tentacles. His eyes were brilliant blue-violet with oval pupils and very pale violet sclerae, a yellow line over each one. He wore a dark purple bodysuit with a large collar, the inner lining of which being yellow, a nearly white glowing symbol on the chest, and thick lower arms with glowing dotted lines going down them. He was riding a dark purple pillow with very pale-yellow pointed tips, a dark blue stuffed bear with a galaxy on its stomach sitting in front of him.
These were the akumas Stormy Weather and Sand Boy respectively. Normally only one akuma could be put at a time, though it appeared that Hawkmoth got a power boost or something. Stormy Weather rubbed her current partner atop his head as she grinned.
"At this rate, we'll find your mother in no time." Snickered the villainess. "Then we'll make her pay for not warning us about that one movie. Who makes a horror movie that looks like a kids' cartoon!?" Sand Boy sounded his embarrassment as he removed the girl's hand from his head. He picked up the bear, hugging it tightly.
"If I can't unsee the horrors of that movie, then all of Paris shall be forced to live with their greatest fears!" cried the child. "Time to make our announcement." Stormy Weather grinned as the duo lowered to the street level, the storm surprisingly following them.
"People of Paris! There are high chances of possible sand showers and your worst fears coming to life until the end of time! If that isn't enough, we'll unleash a sandstorm that will erode away any hiding place you might think to find. That is our…" The duo gesture to the people who took the time to listen, their faces showing their corrupted glee.
"Nightmare Forecast!" cried the duo. The people who stopped were suddenly doused with sand, a clown appearing before one of them and laughing creepily. The butterfly moniker appeared before both of their faces.
"Good work, Nightmare Forecast." Praised a feminine voice. A woman was wearing the Hawkmoth suit, the outfit looking purposefully baggier on her. "Soon the Miraculous Heroes and that foolish specter Phantom will come to fight for the people. When that happens, unleash their worst nightmares for the world to see! So says Hawkmoth!"
Back at the Fenton's hotel, Maddie was barricading the door and turning on some kind of ectoplasmic shield. Jack sat in his bed, cradled up as he was under the sand's effects. A ghost that looked demonic and frightening crashed into the ecto shield, banging to try and get in.
"Ghost!" cried Jack. "It's the same one that tortured my dreams all those years ago! Just keep it away from me! Keep it away!" Maddie sighed as she began boarding up the window to try and keep the sand out.
"I hope Jazz and Danny are okay." Stated the woman. "If it weren't for the heroes, I would have just said forget it and send them home. Phantom better not take advantage of this and attack them. If even one bit of ectoplasm is on their heads, I will scan the whole city for him." Maddie frowned as she looked down, as if remembering something.
She shook her head as she continued her boarding process. "They'll be fine." Meanwhile, in Jazz and Danny's room, Jazz was boarding up the windows herself as Danny was using the restroom.
"Danny!" cried the redhead girl. "Akuma causing mayhem! Looks like whatever plans you have might be canceled! You better get out there!" A groan was heard from the bathroom as the sink turned on.
"I was gonna see if Juleka wanted to take a walk in the park!" cried the halfa. He walked out of the bathroom, wearing the outfit Marinette made for him. "Be honest with me. Does it really look good?" Jazz sent her brother a small smile.
"Juleka would definitely say so." The boy blushed as she rubbed the back of his head. "Looks like this one creates extreme weather and drops sand that makes people's worst fears come true. I really don't want to know what your nightmares look like so… be careful." Danny frowned as he nodded his head.
"I don't want to see my nightmares come to life either. I'M GOING GHOST!" The rings formed around Danny as usual, sliding over him. He still had the horns from his strange outburst, two of the ice blades floating behind him. He turned intangible as he flew out of the building, Jazz turning on the ecto shield her parents forcefully installed in the room just in case her father's fear came for them.
Danny flew around the area, looking for the akuma that was causing this mess. He couldn't help but feel bad for some people on the ground as their fears were indeed pretty frightening. Others made it hard for him not to laugh, like a man running from a huge rolling pickle. The ghost hero remained on task as he looked around. He suddenly felt the hairs on the back of his head stand as he dove downwards.
"I missed!" cried Sand Boy. Danny watched as a cloud of sand sailed past his head and hit a nearby building. He turned around to see the villainous duo, his face hardening at the sight of them. "You're not very scary for a ghost." Danny looked the duo over, only to gain an uncomfortable look on his face.
"So, Hawkmoth really does use just about anyone. I'm uncomfortable fighting an actual living kid." Stormy Weather grinned as she aimed her umbrella at the ghost hero.
"Then hand over your miraculous and give up!" cried the teen. "Otherwise, you'll have to face both of us." Danny couldn't help but send the girl a deadpanned stare.
"Have you seriously not heard the news? I'm a ghost, not a miraculous user. I don't have a miraculous for you to take. Maybe take a chill pill, thunder lady." Stormy Weather growled as lightning began to form at the end of her weapon.
"My name is not Thunder Lady! It's Stormy Weather!" The villainess unleashed a massive lightning strike upon Phantom, the hero quickly dodging the attack. He spun around a few more bolts before diving into a building to avoid another blast of sand. He flew out of the roof before approaching the teen of the duo.
"Though I'm not a fan of fighting kids, I have no problem with shallow witches." Danny slashed at the girl with his ice blade, forcing her to block it with her umbrella. He slashed a few more times, cutting at the fabric on it. He ended up cutting it in half, causing the girl to growl in anger. Sand Boy conjured up a large ball of his sand as he too let out his own growl.
"Don't touch my babysitter!" cried the child. Danny had to run as the sand was lobbed at him, the frozen and broken umbrella following behind him. Stormy Weather glared at the hero as she gave chase.
"Give that back!" cried the weather-based villain. Danny flew through a few more buildings before coming to rest on the Eiffel Tower. He panted a few times, only to hear the familiar sound of a zip-wire.
"Looks like you got a head start on this akuma situation, Danny." Greeted Ladybug. He turned to face her with a small smile. She was soon joined by Honey Bee, the blonde looking miffed.
"I swear, I had to deal with Daddy trying to keep me away from a miniature poodle for almost an hour." Grumbled Chloe. "Why that's his greatest fear, I hope to never find out." Ladybug frowned as she looked over the frightened people of the city.
"Sand Boy wasn't this powerful last time we faced him. How is he doing this?" Danny brought the frozen umbrella forward, causing the lead local hero to gasp.
"Apparently he's working with another akuma." Revealed Phantom. "She calls herself Stormy Weather. Sand Boy called her his babysitter, so they must have been akumatized at the same time. Unless Hawkmoth can suddenly create two akumas at once, they might be tied to just one object." The sound of pole vaulting reached the trio's ears as Chat Noir landed on the fencing of the tower.
"Boy, am I glad I caught the brainstorm session." Huffed the feline hero. He jumped down to them as he looked over the umbrella. "I think Phantom's right. Otherwise, an akuma would have left Stormy Weather's umbrella, probably under the same change as that last butterfly." Ladybug nodded as she looked to the guest hero.
"Did they have anything that stood out with them?" questioned Marinette. "Sand Boy had a pillow that he rode last time we faced him." Danny nodded as he looked to the horizon, noticing that the cloud was quickly rolling their way.
"He had a pillow, though there was also a stuffed bear riding on the front of it." Revealed the halfa. "Stormy Weather had nothing else that stood out. I think they're almost here, so I'd be prepared if I were you." Before the others could reply, Stormy Weather crashed into Danny as she took him off of the tower.
"You broke my umbrella!" cried the teen. "You're a dead man!" Danny sent her a mock deadpanned look.
"I mean, what part of ghost don't you get?" The halfa relished in his opponent's furious face before sending her flying into a department store. She rolled across the ground for a bit as Danny floated in front of her. The frozen umbrella changed shape into a form of shield as the hero floated above the floor. "Looks like you're all bark without your little tool."
Stormy Weather looked to the side, noticing a barrel with umbrellas in them. She smirked as she pulled one out, the dark mist of akumatization flowing over the object. In an instant it transformed into another instance of her weapon, causing Danny to groan as he shook his head. "Me and my big mouth."
The ghost boy cried out in shock as a huge gust of wind sent him out of the shop. The others tried to get closer to him, only to dodge as three clouds of sand nearly hit them. Sand Boy growled as he lowered into their view.
"Why won't you guys stay still!?" cried the young villain. "You heroes make everything difficult!" Chat Noir smirked as he leaned forwards a bit.
"If I didn't just have lunch, I'd say it looks like you're past your bedtime." Joked the cat hero. "Why don't you just take a rest and hand over your akuma." While the joking was poorly timed, Ladybug decided to piggyback off of her first partner's opening.
"We don't have to fight, Michael." Stated the yoyo user. "Just settle down and we can help you find your mother." Sand Boy seemed to be thinking on this proposition, feeling conflicted. He grabbed his head as his sand swirled around him. The butterfly moniker appeared over his face once more.
"Don't listen to them!" roared the female Hawkmoth. "If your mother finds out, she will most likely never let your babysitter return. They are trying to trick you!" Sand Boy's eyes opened in a fit of rage as his sand spun around him like a storm. He roared as they formed into spikes.
"Leave me alone!" roared the boy. He sent the sand at the group, causing them to dodge yet again. Honey Bee growled as she flew high into the air.
"Looks like we don't have a choice!" cried Chloe. "We'll have to try taking out his pillow. If that doesn't work, we go for the bear." Ladybug and Chat Noir nodded at the idea. They moved around as they tried to find a good opening for an attack.
Back with Danny, he continuously dodged lightning bolts as he led Stormy Weather away from the fight. He fired a normal ecto-blast back at the girl, though she used a torrent of water to block the attack. The villainess flew towards him as she prepared her umbrella like a bat. The halfa crossed his arms as the umbrella shield appeared in front of him, causing the girl to run into it. The cloth of the shield stretched like a trampoline before sending the villainess flying backwards.
"Looks like it's time to bounce back!" punned Phantom. He then tried firing an ice blast at the akuma, only for her to reciprocate from her umbrella. The clash resulted in a huge iceberg forming in the middle of the street. Danny took advantage of this as he used his intangibility to fly into the ice. Stormy Weather growled as she flew above the ice.
"I've got you now!" cried the weather villain. "Black Ice!" She shot a darker looking attack at where Danny once was, creating an area of black ice. She looked around, attempting to find her opponent. She then felt a tap on her shoulder, causing her to turn around.
"Leave ice to me, snow princess." As soon as the last word left his mouth, Phantom punched Stormy Weather away from the area. At the same time, the others were having a tough time reaching Sand Boy and his pillow. He kept making sand rise in a way that would catch them if they hit him, forcing them to find a new angle to hit from. Chat Noir groaned as he stretched a bit.
"This is getting us nowhere!" cried the feline hero. "We need to break through his defenses somehow! If we don't, it'll only be a matter of time before he catches us with that sand! Any ideas?" Ladybug frowned as she stood in a ready stance.
"It's obvious at this point that Sand Boy has the akuma." Stated the lead local hero. "I think a good old fashioned lucky charm might be our best bet." Honey Bee nodded as she floated mid-air.
"We'll buy you time to make one and come up with a plan." Stated the bee themed hero. She looked to Chat Noir with a grin. "Time to do our jobs. Between my buzzing and your puns, we should be able to annoy him enough to keep his attention on us." The blonde boy of the group grinned as he spun his staff.
"Sounds like a plan." Agreed Chat Noir. "Let's get this yarn ball rolling." He then pole-vaulted towards Sand Boy with a cocky grin. "Hey Sand Boy! You must be from Egypt, 'cause you're in 'de-Nile' about how bad your aim is."
"AM NOT!" cried Sand Boy in rage. He tried to hit Chat Noir with sand again, only for the hero to dodge. He growled as Honey Bee flew in circles above him.
"Strike one!" cried the bee hero. Sand Boy tried again, only for Chat to dodge while striking a model styled pose. "Strike two!" The young villain growled as he created another huge glob of sand. He turned his attention to Honey Bee as he threw the attack towards her.
Chloe smirked as she flew out of the way of the attack, watching as it fell to the ground due to gravity. "Strike three! Looks like we'll need a new pitcher! Sand Boy might need a tee to bat." Sand Boy growled as he gathered up a lot more sand.
"SHUT UP! SHUT-UP-SHUT-UP-SHUT-UP!" The annoying duo continued to dodge as huge amounts of sand were focused their way. Ladybug smiled at the scene, happy to have her teammates help. She spun her yo-yo around a bit before slinging it up into the air.
"Lucky Charm!" cried the lead hero. A swarm of butterflies were unleashed from the object, quickly forming the shape of an object. The construction was complete as the item fell towards Ladybug. She quickly caught it in her hands, only for her face to scrunch up in confusion. "A net?"
It wasn't just any net, but one typically used in circus stunts such as trapeze and tightrope walking. "What am I supposed to do with this?" She heard a growling as Sand Boy stopped his attack all together.
"ENOUGH! I'm sick and tired of you guys dodging all the time!" The young villain lifted his hands to the cloud above them, causing its surface to turn gold. The trio felt terror take over them as they realized that it would be rather difficult if that amount of his sand were to drop. "TRY DODGING THIS!"
Sand Boy was about to send the massive sheet of sand down on the group when some screaming caught his attention. "What's going…" His question was cut off as Stormy Weather crashed into him, knocking him and the stuffed bear off the floating pillow. Chat saw his chance as he reared back his arm. He launched forward as destruction energy began to form in his hand.
"Cataclysm!" cried the cat hero. He struck the pillow, causing it to turn into dust. Sadly, no butterfly came from the wreckage. "That leaves only one option." Stormy Weather groaned as she got up.
"Are you okay?" questioned the villainess. Sand Boy rubbed his head as he nodded. Upon noticing the heroes' approach, the duo scrambled to their feet. The younger of the two villains quickly grabbed his teddy bear as he held it tightly. Ladybug frowned as she and the others stood before the duo.
"It's over." Declared the lead heroine. "Hand over your Akuma." Sand Boy held his bear tighter at the demand.
"No!" cried the boy. "I won't let you tear up Starlight! Aurore gave him to me! He's my treasure!" Marinette smiled as she bent down to Sand Boy's height.
"He'll go back to normal when it's all over. I promise." The young villain looked conflicted as he shuffled closer to Stormy Weather.
"I… I need to hug something. Does anyone have a pillow?" Chat looked around a bit, spotting a pillow in a chair on a balcony. He jumped up and grabbed the item, not noticing the concerned look on Danny's face. He jumped back down and presented it to the boy.
"Here you go." Offered Chat. "We'll give you the bear back once the Miraculous Cure is over." Danny's eyes widened as he noticed Stormy Weather's smile.
"CHAT NOIR!" cried Phantom. "DON'T…!" It was too late, however, as Sand Boy flashed his own vicious smile. He yanked the pillow away from Chat as Stormy Weather blew him backwards with her umbrella. Sand Boy added his sand to the attack, hitting the cat her directly.
"NO!" cried Ladybug. Chat coughed as he tried to clear the sand from his mouth. His eyes widened as it began to swirl in front of him. A shadowy figure appeared from the sand, the identity being difficult to discern. The individual crossed his arms as he looked down at Chat.
"I will not have my son anywhere near those delinquents." Growled the being in a demonic voice. "And you can say goodbye to your little girlfriend for your attitude." Chat suddenly had a frightened look on his face as he held his hands out.
"Father, please!" cried the cat hero. "You can't do this to me!" The figure suddenly turned around, his slow steps actually seeming faster as he basically began to slide away.
"This discussion is over." Chat cried out for the figure representing his father to wait as he chased off after him. The pillow in Sand Boy's hand changed into his mount much like the umbrella did for Stormy Weather. The duo laughed as they floated into the air. They held up their hands as the entire storm turned golden.
"Looks like our Nightmare Forecast is coming true!" cheered Stormy Weather. "A nightmarish sandstorm, as predicted!" Sand Boy's eyes lit up as he held his teddy bear in his free hand.
"Hawkmoth's greatest dream will finally be realized!" added the younger villain. "Your miraculous are as good as ours! If you hand them over now, we might spare the city! Otherwise, prepare for the worst nightmare you have ever…" The sound of a metal object spinning through the air cut through the evil duologue.
A boomerang with a bird design stabbed into Sand Boy's pillow, sticking between his legs. He looked down as the object began to beep rapidly. He picked it up as the beeping increased. A purple gas began to emit from it as the boy looked towards his akumatized babysitter. "Aurore?"
In an instant the gas was sent into the boy's face, causing him to become drowsy. He fell over, causing everyone's eyes to widen as he dropped his bear onto the pillow. A black portal opened behind the boy, catching him before he could even begin his free-fall.
"MICHAEL!" cried Stormy Weather. A second boomerang came her way, forcing her to block it with her umbrella. It beeped as well, only to explode instead of releasing a gas. She flew backwards a bit, only to have her leg noosed by a wire and rod. She found herself pulled towards the nearby roof, rolling across the ground until finally coming to a stop.
"I'm going to give you two options." Stated a masculine voice. The villainess propped herself on her arms as she turned towards the person who attacked her. Her eyes widened as she saw Nightwing from both the Titans and the Justice League standing before her. "We can do this the easy way and you surrender, or we can do this the hard way where I take you down." The butterfly moniker formed over Stormy Weather's eyes, the female Hawkmoth being in the same amount of disbelief as her.
"Nightwing!?" cried the true villainess. "We can't let him tell the Justice League about this! It's already bad enough that we're potentially on the Avengers' radar! Burn him to a crisp and find Sand Boy!" Stormy Weather prepared her umbrella to zap the hero as she stood up.
"Where is Sand Boy!?" cried the villainess. "What did you do with Michael!?" Nightwing prepared his staff as he took his usual stance.
"He's safe and waiting for this situation to be over." Reassured the Gothamite. "Now I won't ask again. Surrender." Stormy Weather shot a huge bolt of lightning at the hero, forcing him to dodge to the right. She kept her umbrella pointed at him as she charged up another bolt.
"The Justice League isn't welcome here! Hawkmoth will have the Miraculous, and there's nothing you foolish heroes can do about it!" Dick sighed as he shook his head.
"I warned you." The hero sprinted forward, dodging yet another bolt of lightning. Stormy tried to take off into the air again, only to find herself being hit in the gut by Nightwing's staff. He then used the momentum to throw her back onto the roof, spinning his staff around back into his ready stance. He then ran up to her as he forced her to block an attack with her umbrella, causing Honey Bee to whistle.
"I have to admit, he does a better job with a staff than Chat." Stated the bee hero. "Think he can give him some pointers?" Ladybug ignored the joke at Chat's expense as she looked over the area. Her idea vision popped up as she saw Nightwing and Stormy Weather light up in the ladybug pattern. The same happened with some lamp posts nearby and the net in her free hand.
"I've got an idea." Stated the ladybug hero. She looked to the non-compromised duo as her a smirk appears on her face. "Phantom, help Nightwing get her hovering in the air and keep her from running away. Honey Bee, while they're distracted, get the akumatized object." Danny nodded as he suddenly took off into the air.
The ghost hero watched as Dick effortlessly dodged another lightning blast from Stormy Weather. It was like watching a professional athlete playing dodgeball with a fourth grader. Danny made an ice cube to surround Stormy Weather as he flew down to his friend.
"Welcome to Paris." Greeted Phantom. "We have a plan. You and I keep her distracted while the others get the akuma and set of the Lucky Charm. Chat's out of the picture for now." Nightwing nodded as he smirked, at least until he noticed the ice wall cracking.
"Sounds like a plan." Agreed the leader of the Titans. "I'll follow your lead then. After this, you're gonna have to tell me what brought about the horns." Danny nodded as he too turned towards the nearly shattered block of ice. He held two of the ice blades in his hands as Dick split his staff into two batons.
"I…HAVE…HAD IT WITH YOU HEROES!" cried Stormy Weather. She broke through the ice with a tornado, sending the ice everywhere. "This ends now!" The girl suddenly rushed the duo, causing them to smirk. They almost moved in sync, dodging in opposite directions as their opponent speared the open air.
She then spun in a circle, sending a wave of high-pressure air towards the duo. Danny went intangible to dodge the attack while Dick used a nearby roof entrance to jump over it. The Gothamite bashed Stormy Weather in the face with one of his batons while Phantom went in for a kick at her leg. She tried to get in a sneaky lightning blast, only for Dick to move her arm up so she'd hit nothing but air once again. She roared as she used a huge gust of wind to send the duo flying away from her.
Back on the ground, Ladybug and Honey Bee got to work tying up the net. They both took opposite sides, trying to make sure the object would do its job. Chat Quickly ran by as they were finishing up the net. Instead of looking on in a pleading manner, he was now looking rather angry. He suddenly stopped for a moment, causing the figure to stop as well.
"Finally." Sighed the voice. "Are you done with the pointless begging?" Chat growled as he turned away from the figure.
"Yes." Answered the cat hero. "I am. I'm done letting you walk over me when you don't actually care. I'm done letting you dictate my life, or who I spend it with. If living in your shadow means never seeing my friends again, then I'm taking the leap of faith and going my own way.
The shadow of his father narrowed its eyes, not pleased by his words. "If you'll excuse me, I have a job to do." He began to walk away from the figure, causing it to growl in anger as it ran at him.
"YOU UNGRATEFUL BRAT! I WILL NOT HAVE MY SON RUNNING AROUND PLAYING SUPERHERO!" Chat turned as he prepared to defend himself, only for Honey Bee to fly by him.
"Venom!" cried the bee themed hero. The stinger once again formed on the end of her hand as she stabbed the figure in the side. The nightmare was frozen in place as it fell over. Chloe sighed as she turned towards Chat. The cat hero nodded with a sad smile.
"Thanks." Stated the Chat Noir. "I really needed someone else to deal with him." Honey Bee sighed as she shook her head.
"You can repay me by helping Ladybug finish the net while I get the akuma." The local pun maker nodded as he rushed to the last lamppost. He tied it up as Honey Bee flew up towards Sand Boy's abandoned pillow. She quickly grabbed the bear, sending a thumbs up towards Nightwing. The Gothamite understood as the local flying hero pointed to the area below her.
"Looks like it's time to wrap this up." Observed Dick. "Ready to really tick her off?" Danny grinned as he prepared the few weapons he currently had activated.
"SNOWFLAKE DISK!" roared the phantom hero. Three more of his ice blades appeared in response to his call. Each blade attached to the end of the makeshift umbrella shield, more ice forming to create the image of a snowflake. Danny spun around a bit before throwing the weapon. It spun at high speeds as it approached its target.
"That won't work on me!" cried the villainess. She slid under the attack as she ran for the heroes, though some frost did form on her suit. She looked back for a moment, only to bend forward as air was forced out of her lungs. Nightwing had hit the girl with a tiger palm strike, his batons having been turned back into a staff as he held it behind him. The sound of zapping electricity filled the air, though it didn't come from Stormy Weather.
"There's a saying back where I'm from." Began Nightwing. "Don't dish out what you can't take." He moved his hand to where the tips of his fingers were touching his opponent. Suddenly the taser function of his gloves were activated, causing Stormy Weather to scream as she was tased. She took a few steps back as Nightwing resumed his first ready stance.
"You… you jerk!" Stormy coughed a few more times before flying into the air. "This ends right here, right now!" A slow clap filled the air, causing the villainess to turn towards the source.
"You're right about that, Stormy." Agreed Ladybug. "This is where the fight stops. Now, Honey Bee!" Stormy Weather heard a buzzing above her, prompting her to look up. Her eyes widen as she saw the bee hero of the city holding the stuffed bear in her hands, ready to rip and tear.
"No!" The villainess's cry went unheard as Honey Bee ripped the head off the bear. This time they were correct as a purple butterfly flew out of the stuffing of the bear. Stormy Weather felt her power leave her as she fell towards the ground. She fell right into the net, bouncing a bit as it moved up and down.
"No more evil doing for you, little akuma." Ladybug assumed the normal position as her yoyo opened up. She spun it around as she prepared to sling it at the evil butterfly. "TIME TO DE-EVILIZE!" The yoyo flew high into the air, catching the butterfly in its grasp.
She pulled the yoyo back to herself, catching it in her grasp. She opened it up again, releasing a normal white butterfly. "Bye-bye little butterfly." Chat set about recovering the net as Stormy Weather turned back to normal. In her place was a blonde haired girl with a much more toned down version of her hairstyle wearing a light blue mini dress that reaches slightly below her hips with short puffed sleeves with tiny white lace lining on the edge, a small yellow cloud pattern, a white Peter Pan collar, a white broad band around the waist, three layers of frilled edges at the hem, and small white lace lining at the dress openings and second frilled edge, and light yellow dress shoes with thick-heeled moderate amber soled.
"Where am I?" questioned the girl. She gasped as she looked around. "Where's Michael!?" A black portal opened once again. Raven and a young boy with fairly light skin, dark indigo-ish grey eyes, and black hair with deep sapphire reflections. He was wearing teal-and-white one-piece pajamas with an owl hero's logo in the center of it, socks with orange and white stripes, and dark blue slippers.
"Aurore!" cried Michael. He ran away from Raven as he hugged his babysitter, the duo sighing in relief. Chat smiled as he handed the net back to Ladybug.
"I'll have to turn back soon, so let's make this quick." Stated the cat hero. Danny and Nightwing joined them from one side while Honey Bee joined from another. Ladybug nodded as she reared her arm downwards.
"MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!" cried the local hero. She threw the net into the air, causing it to explode into a massive swarm of ladybugs. The swarm flew all over Paris as per usual, removing the nightmare creatures and reverting the damage. The insects then flew into the cloud, causing it to dissipate. In Hawkmoth's lair, his female replacement growled as she slumped to the floor.
"Gabriel." Sighed the woman. "I failed you. Now the Justice League is sure to get involved. In the end, however, that may be a rather tantalizing opportunity." The window closed as the woman was left to her thoughts.
Back at the scene of the battle, Michael's mother ran over to the authorities who were keeping the duo company. While what was said couldn't be heard, it was obvious that Aurore wasn't in any trouble. Chat and Honey Bee's miraculous started beeping, causing the duo to look between each other.
"Normally I'd love to do our signature victory tradition, but I'm about to change back." Revealed Chat Noir. "Unless I want to reveal my identity to all of Paris, I need to leave." Dick nodded as he and Raven looked amongst the group.
"In that case, I'll ask everyone here to meet us at the Eiffel Tower as soon as you can." Requested Nightwing. "There are important matters we need to discuss with all of you, including you Phantom." He didn't give them much chance to reply, other than a quick nod, as he and Raven departed in another black portal. The other heroes quickly separated as they returned to their current abodes.
Marinette landed on her balcony as she turned back to normal. Tiki popped up beside her, looking drained from the fight. They entered the hero's room, where the kwami was given a cookie for her hard work.
"The situation has changed, Tiki." Sighed Marinette. She sat down in her rolling chair as she gave today's events some thought. "I'm certain Dick told the Justice League about everything that's happening here. Now I'm left wondering if he's talking to us on their behalf or planning to offer us help in their absence." Tiki flew over to her holder's shoulder, sitting down with an almost finished cookie.
"All we can do is find out the truth for ourselves, Marinette." Stated the kwami. "Whatever the case, you know Nightwing is the kind of person to help however he can." Tiki finished the rest of the cookie with a smile. "We'll be alright in the end." Marinette nodded as she looked to her hands.
"You're right, Tiki." The designer stood up as she looked to her roof. "Let's go see what he wants." She quickly ran back to her balcony, Tiki not far behind. Soon she as Ladybug began making her way to the Eiffel Tower, the other Miraculous Heroes arriving in their own way. Danny beat them there first, however, as he landed on the top viewing platform.
"Well, we're all here." Stated the ghost hero. "No sign of Nightwing or Raven. Are you sure there's no mock Eiffel Tower that he could have mistaken it for? I feel 'baguette' to ask the question." Ladybug and Honey Bee groaned as Chat Noir grinned.
"Not really." Answered the feline. "I have a 'feline' that they're running late. Either that or they 'ghosted' us due to a League emergency. We'll probably be here a bit." Honey Bee frowned as she felt her wings flitter without her doing so.
"Either someone invisible is here, or something is about to happen." Stated the bee themed hero. "Something just made my wing move by pulling on it." The heroes looked around, trying to get a good view of the area. Suddenly, white lines formed over them as an energy began to form. Before any of them could say a word, the group found themselves being warped away from the city of Paris.
Watchtower
Before their eyes, the group now stood in the midst of an unknown building. People in purple suits and some other costumed individuals walked around the area. Danny suddenly got a feeling as he slowly turned around. The Miraculous Heroes saw his face go from confused to dumbfounded as something caught his attention. They turned around as well, now sharing his expression.
"We're… in… SPACE!" cried Danny. He flew over to the window in an instant, his face squished up against it. "I've always wanted to go to space! I feel like an astronaut!" Chat rubbed his eyes as if he was in denial of the current situation.
"I'd normally make a pun, but I'm having trouble believing all of this is real." Stated the cat hero. He was about to step forward, only to have someone accidentally step on the tail of his suit. He cried out indignantly as he pulled the belt away from the man, coming face to face with Guy Gardner in a janitorial uniform.
"Keep yer costume to yourself." Growled the angry lantern. "I'm trying to…" His eyes widened as he saw who was in front of him, Ladybug already seething as she leveled a glare at him. "Oh sh…" The Parisian heroine growled as she stepped between Chat and Guy.
"You!" cried Marinette. "I recognize that voice anywhere! You're that Green Lantern who thought our calls were a prank!" Honey Bee and Chat joined her in her frowning as they crossed their arms. Guy sounded his discomfort as he took a step back, only for Martian Manhunter to fly in between them.
"You will find that Guy Gardner is being made to think upon his actions." Stated the green man. "In fact, he should be getting back to his current assignment." Guy grumbled about never visiting Paris as he returned to mopping the floors. Another gasp was heard as Danny flew over. He was floating in front of Martian Manhunter, almost looking like his pupils had turned into stars.
"Martian Manhunter!" cried the ghost hero. "I'm meeting an actual alien, in the flesh! You're one of my favorite members of the Justice League." The sound of a man clearing his throat got the group's attention. The guests looked to the source, watching as Nightwing walked over.
"Sorry for the sudden pickup." Apologized Dick. "We don't know how far Hawkmoth's akumas can transfer information back to him, and I'd rather not have him listen in on our conversation." The others nodded in complete understanding. "With that out of the way, welcome to the Watchtower: home of the Justice League. They're waiting for us in the meeting room." Chloe blinked as she felt a similar excitement to Danny slowly filling her.
"When you say 'they', do you mean the leading members of the League?" questioned Honey Bee. "As in the founders, including Wonderwoman!?" Dick smirked as he looked back at the excited blonde.
"Follow me and you'll find out." Chloe couldn't help but follow along like Sabrina would as the others and Martian Manhunter followed behind them. A few heroes looked their way, most likely surprised by the age of the new arrivals. Dick typed in a code when they reached the door, forcing it to open. All was silent inside as the group entered the room.
The atmosphere felt tense to the guests as they were met with the awaiting faces of the Justice League. Batman, John Stewart, Aquaman, and even Wonderwoman seemed to be looking over the group in order to gauge their capabilities and authenticity. The smiling faces of Flash and Superman did ease the tension slightly. Danny was doing his best not to geek out in this serious moment, though it was hard with THE Superman sitting right in front of him. Batman decided to open the discussion as the door closed behind the group.
"Thank you for coming, Miraculous Heroes." Greeted Bruce. "Your presence is also welcome, Phantom." Danny shuffled nervously as he looked to Nightwing.
"Please tell me you only told him about Phantom." Begged Danny. Nightwing tapped his ear before pointing to Superman. The ghost boy paled as he remembered that the Kryptonian had super hearing. To his and Nightwing's surprise, the Man of Steel winked at them out of Batman's view. Wonderwoman decided to stop the room from going silent as she stood up.
"It is an honor to meet all of you, young warriors." Greeted the Amazon. She turned her attention specifically to Marinette with a soft smile. "Especially you, Ladybug. My mother held Tiki before you." The current Ladybug's eyes widened as she straightened her nervous posture.
"She was?" questioned the heroine. "I suppose I never asked Tiki who the past Ladybugs were." Diana smiled as she nodded her head.
"If not for Hawkmoth and this unideal situation, I would ask to see Tiki once again. Right now, however, there is much to discuss." Aquaman stood up as he bowed politely to the group.
"Allow me to be the first to apologize for any grief the League may have caused." Declared the king. "If I or Wonderwoman had heard of the Miraculous being active in Paris sooner, we would have done our best to offer aid where it was needed. I also would have given advice for appeasing Plagg if he were to ever be angered." Chat Noir held up his hands in defense.
"So far I haven't had that kind of trouble with him." Reassured the cat hero. "Just give him some smelly cheese and he'll be chill. Working together, we make the strongest destruction user 'pawsible.'" Everyone in the room sent Chat deadpanned looks, Batman even leveling his infamous "bat glare", only for Flash to start cracking up. He laughed for a few seconds as everyone's attention turned towards him, stopping as he caught his breath.
"That's a good one." Stated the Scarlet Speedster. "Gotta use that on Cheetah sometime." He soon noticed the eyes on him, causing his expression to sour. "What?" Green Lantern shook his head as he repeatedly tapped his pointer finger against the table.
"Can we get back on track?" questioned John. "These kids have lives to get back to." Clark nodded as he leaned forward in his chair.
"John is right." Agreed the Kryptonian. "With the situation in Paris being this severe, compounded upon by Nightwing's report of the recent incident, the Justice League feels the need to act." Wonderwoman stood with her back to the table as she looked over the group of young heroes.
"For the record, we have no plan to take over this war or take away your miraculous." Reassured Diana. "We simply wish to provide much needed aid. This is both in the form of having capable League members on the ground, as well as offering to help you expand your proficiency with your Miraculous. Even you, Honey Bee, in your awakened state have much untapped power that could boost your potential." Chloe looked away at the attention, blushing as her favorite League member was acknowledging her potential.
Batman gave his colleague a look that said "you're telling me about this later" as he typed into a holographic keyboard. A map of Paris appeared mid-air, a few "x" marks of different colors dotted across it. The detective gestured to the hologram as the young heroes were awestruck yet again.
"We have already determined key points of interest, both for Hawkmoth's potential location and for akumatization hotspots." Revealed the Dark Knight. "We're also carefully constructing a team of heroes that are both emotionally and mentally sound. Not to mention a handful of magic users who can hopefully narrow down Hawkmoth's lair. I would like to speak with the guardian before we make any major moves in Paris." Marinette sighed as she shook her head.
"The guardian is wary of letting others get involved in our situation." Revealed Ladybug. "I only recently gained his approval to bring in more permanent Miraculous holders and even then, he must approve of them." Batman showed no change in emotions as he nodded his head.
"Leave that part to me. I'm familiar with the Miracle Guardians. Of course, as the only one among us that is capable of purifying the akumas, you must decide whether our involvement is welcome in your city." Ladybug looked down as she thought over everything that the League was offering. She nodded her head as she returned her attention to the older heroes.
"If you can get the master to agree, any help will be more than welcome. My best interest is to ensure the people of Paris are free to feel their emotions in a healthy manner." Superman nodded his head with a small smirk.
"We'll move forward to phase two of team composition." Declared the Man of Steel. "We've removed candidates from the list who do not fit the sensitive nature of this mission. Now we just have to begin evaluations for those who can spare the time. It's important that each candidate has the lowest chance of becoming akumatized." Batman turned off the hologram as he turned his attention directly to Danny.
"There's one more matter to discuss." Revealed Bruce. "We've been keeping an eye on the situation in Amity Park. From what Nightwing has told me, the situation there is worse than we originally thought. More specifically in the form of the Ghost Investigation Wing and the Anti-ecto policies of Mayor Vladimir Masters." Danny groaned as he leaned backwards a bit.
"Tell me about it." Grumbled the ghostly teen. "The Guys in White are so trigger happy that I have to protect civilians from them sometimes. Don't even get me started on Vlad. He's been a pain in my tail ever since I met him." Flash gestured to the ghost kid with a sympathetic frown.
"Yeah, well welcome to the club for those suit guys." Stated the Scarlet Speedster. "They used different names when trying to go after us. I still feel bad for ya, seeing as your city doesn't have your back like ours do. Granted to the untrained eye they do have a lot to hold against you." Superman sent Flash a quick glare before returning his attention towards Danny.
"In any case, the League would also like to offer assistance to you as well." Revealed Clark. "After reviewing footage and news articles, we've determined that many moments that are said to prove your status as a menace are mostly misunderstandings or propaganda. One day many of us will be gone, hopefully from old age. The world is full of young heroes, well young in spirit for your case, and it's better to prepare them for bigger threats in the future than handle everything on our own." Danny looked amongst the members, slightly unsettled by how Batman seemed to have his eyes fixated on him.
"I'm flattered, honestly." Began the ghost hero. "Aren't you guys going to have your hands full with the situation in Paris though? Seems like that takes up importance over some ghost stuff. If it weren't for the fact that I'm the only person in town powerful enough and competent enough to fight the bad ghosts, I'd be pitching in to help some too." Batman stood up as he nodded towards Nightwing.
"Nightwing has volunteered to personally take over the full case." Informed the Dark Knight. "He has recommended a hero to watch over you in his absence, as well as a new base of operations with the help of one of our subsidiaries." Danny looked at Dick, receiving a secret thumbs up from behind the hero's back.
"I know a guy who has a lot of free time on his hands." Declared Nightwing. "He agreed to do me a favor on this one. I'll talk with you about the details later. That is, if you're interested." Danny grinned as he nodded his head.
"Well, if it means I get to see more of my favorite heroes, I don't see why not." Accepted Phantom. "I look forward to working with you." Batman looked between the duo, his eyes squinting. His instincts were telling him this had something to do with the ghost boy's secret, as well as a nagging feeling at the back of his head. Knowing the look Bruce had formed, Superman decided to stand up from his seat.
"Sounds like we have everything settled then, for now." Stated the Man of Steel. He approached Danny and Marinette, stretching out a hand to each of them. "We're happy to be of assistance. Any time you need assistance, just give us a call." The two young heroes nodded to each other before happily shaking Superman's hands.
'If I wasn't concerned with how Juleka would react, I would never wash this hand.' The handshake soon ceased as Batman nodded his head.
"We'll be in touch." Stated the Dark Knight. "The Martian will return you to your prior location. I have some details to go over in private. This meeting is adjourned." Flash took this moment to instantly rush out the door, most likely to the cafeteria.
The others soon began to pour out, leaving Batman alone. He looked down as his head swelled with thoughts of the meeting that just occurred. Phantom was definitely triggering something in his head, though it wasn't by the spirit's design most likely. He mentally noted that he should see John Constantine about checking his mind. He lifted his glove to look at a watch-like device, pressing a few buttons on it.
Outside, in the empty hallway, Natasha Romanov had just gathered all the details she needed to report to the other Avengers. This was exactly what they needed to get in on this fight and provide their own aid. Before she could even step foot around the corner, both ends of the hallway closed down. "Did you think I wouldn't notice you sneaking onto the Watchtower, agent Romanov?" The redhead glanced back to see Batman, using his famous glare on her.
"Should I be flattered or concerned that the Batman knows who I am?" questioned Black Widow. Batman didn't respond to the question as he remained where he stood. A stand off ensued as the Avenger turned to face the Leaguer. Natasha suddenly threw small taser disks at Batman, the Gothamite countering with his signature Batarangs. The woman had to dodge as the bigger projectiles kept moving after clashing with her own.
The duo brought the fight close quarters as the Black Widow tried to knock Bruce out with a kick. He blocked it before blocking another kick as his opponent spun to stand on her other foot. He then grabbed a punch that was sent his way, forcing Natasha to stand still.
"How did you get in here? How much do you know?" The redhead smirked in response to the questioning.
"When you've been a spy for as long as I have, you can break into anywhere. Let's just say you're not the only one keeping tabs on those kids right now." Bruce pushed the woman backwards a bit before taking a few steps back himself.
"Next question. I could have caught you the moment you stepped foot in the Watchtower. You would have been confined before serving a prison sentence. So how are you still here?" The Black Widow thought over the question, only to relax her stance.
"You wanted me here for that meeting. It's why I was able to return the same way I did." Seeing as the fight was potentially over, Bruce returned to standing tall.
"We have ways of checking the validity of each employee that enters the Watchtower. I made the call to see what your purpose was before acting. Halfway through the first meeting you witnessed, I was able to hack your tech." Natasha's eyes widened as she quickly pulled out a small device. "You'll find the details we've gathered on the Paris situation in a folder labeled 'Andre's Creamery', as well as the absence of any controversial data you've collected being expunged."
Natasha's face turned stoic as she put the device away. "You get one question before I have you removed from my satellite." The redhead knew of only one question she could ask.
"Why go through all this trouble for a spy? Most members in the League would have seen me thrown in prison the first chance they could." Bruce nodded his head in understanding.
"In this situation, any competition between the Justice League and the Avengers is detrimental to Paris. If we're going to be working in the same vicinity, cooperation is a must. If the Avengers and SHIELD need more information, contact me. Commissioner Gordon knows how." The door behind Black Widow suddenly opened.
She looked behind herself, watching as two actual guards approached her. "These men will show you out." Natasha had no choice but to comply as the men stayed on both sides of her, forcing her to walk with them. Once they turned the corner, Bruce returned to his thoughts on the situation. There was much to analyze.
Paris, France
In a darkened room, a man was resting in a queen sized bed. His features were obscured by the shadows, though it was clear that he was awake due to his focus on the other side of the room. The door quickly opened and closed, an obscured woman walking in. A lavender Kwami with butterfly-line features fearfully floated behind her. She removed a broach for her attire, clearly the Butterfly miraculous as the floating creature was forced to fly into it.
"I apologize, sir." Began the woman. "I failed to capture the Miraculous of the Miraculous Heroes." The man growled as he clenched his fist. He went into a coughing fit, forcing the woman to put the Miraculous on the bedside table and hand her superior a glass of water. He carefully took a drink of the liquid, sighing as it gave him relief.
"Curse that interloping spirit." Growled the man. "If Phantom had never shown his face in Paris, I would not be in this state and the Miraculous would be mine! Holy Rocker was the strongest Akuma to date! Even then, he was child's play in the face of a powerful spirit." The woman stood tall as she looked to her superior.
"I'm afraid Phantom and even the Avengers are no longer our only concern." The man continued to look towards the other side of the room as he waited for the rest of the news. "The Miraculous Heroes were aided by Nightwing, a recognized affiliate of the Justice League. It is highly possible that they are now becoming directly involved in our business here in Paris." The true Hawkmoth stayed silent for a few minutes before shifting slightly in his bed.
"Cease Akuma activity until I have recovered. I want to be at my best when Dupont Highschool starts back." The woman's face clearly turned to one of confusion as she furrowed her brow.
"Haven't you pulled Adrien out of that school? Why is it still important?" Hawkmoth looked towards the woman, revealing that his left eye had gone blind. The image of a slash was visible on the eye, causing the woman to feel uncomfortable. The villain grinned as he brought the glass of water to his lips.
"A certain pawn of ours is returning to the school when it opens. With the pain and rise in emotions she caused last time, imagine the akuma I could create with Adrien out of harms way." The villain's laugh rang throughout the room.
Inkaliber: That's another chapter done and done! And before the weekend's conclusion. Nightwing and Raven provided support in a tough battle for the Miraculous Heroes and Phantom. The Justice League now moves forward in planning their involvement in Paris, Bruce making a shaky alliance with the Avengers through Black Widow. What did you think about it, Jazz?
Jazz: It was honestly interesting. I've had fun looking through the story and trying to piece together all of the hidden details. I'm going to compile everything from this chapter in my notes.
Inkaliber: Alright then. I'll just close out the chapter. Wonder how much she's been able to piece together. Maybe I can ask her to help me with this dimensional mitosis dilemma. I'm so close but I can't seem to get it.
Anyway, what did you guys think of the chapter? Did you like the idea of Nightmare Forecast? How about the Justice League directly meeting with the Miraculous Heroes and the apparent alliance that has now been forged with the Avengers? Let me know what you think down below, and I'll try to get back to you ASAP. This is Inkaliber, signing… I feel like I forgot something.
