After the first rays of the sun decided to penetrate through the small window into the room where Dawn was sleeping, she immediately opened her eyes. After all, today was an important day for her, she would finally be given her first Pokemon, and how lucky it was that this event would happen on her birthday.. Although she was not completely sure that she was really already eleven years old, but still that was the least of her worries.
The girl quickly got up and began to get dressed, she didn't know what time they would come for her because, out of joy, she forgot to ask about it.
After getting dressed, she sat on the bed and waited. To her surprise, Commander Rivay came into her room. Rivay was in high spirits as always.
"It's so good that you're already ready, we don't have to wait for you, and there are still a couple of details left that need to be done before the Pokémon are handed out."
Hearing this, the girl's smile slowly began to disappear...
-You will need to dye and cut your hair into the hairstyle that all fighters wear, and also take the oath of allegiance to Team Galactic.
Dawn nodded silently and followed the commander. She felt slightly disappointed at the delay in getting the Pokémon, but tried not to show it. Rivay led her to a small room where there was a chair that looked like a hairdresser's and a large mirror on the wall.
"Sit here," he said, pointing to a chair. - Our hairdresser will do everything right.
A minute later, a young man entered the room with cutting tools. Without further ado, he began to process Dawn's hair - cutting it according to a certain pattern, characteristic of all fighters of the organization. Looking at her reflection, the girl looked at her hairstyle with indifference, although she was satisfied with the old one, but an order is an order. Fifteen minutes later, the hairdresser finished the haircut and began dyeing her hair turquoise. After finishing his work, he left. And Dawn looked with interest at her new short haircut in the mirror.
Well, now you fully correspond to the image of a fighter," Rivay stated. - All that remains is to say the oath, and you can receive Pokemon.
After transforming her hair and appearance, Rivay took Dawn to his office - a spacious room with a minimalist design, where various paintings hung on the walls.
It's time to take the oath," Rivay solemnly announced, standing at his desk. Dawn stood at attention and recited the Pledge of Allegiance, pledging her dedication to the cause of the organization. Rivay then took out a piece of paper - a formal commitment to join the ranks of Team Galactic
"Put your signature here," he ordered, pointing his pen to the empty space below.
Dawn quickly scribbled her name on the paper in splayed handwriting.
"That's great, now everything is official," Rivai smiled, taking the sheet.
After which Rivay took out a pokeball from the desk drawer in which the girl's future first pokemon was located.
Here, take this pokeball, it belongs to you now," Rivay said, handing the ball to Dawn. With trembling hands, the girl took the pokeball and began to carefully examine it. The word "Lucario" was engraved on the side of the Pokeball. "Wow, this is really not a weak Pokemon, although it is not the strongest, but in the right hands it can become a formidable opponent." - Dawn thought. She basically knew his characteristics and behavior, so it wouldn't be difficult for her to handle his training. In addition to the Pokeball itself with the Pokemon, there were also about ten ordinary empty Pokeballs nearby.
Before you let him out, come here," Rivay called. He stood near a large painting in a decorative frame hanging on the wall opposite the table. The painting was in the style of abstract expressionism, hanging on the wall of the office. On the canvas, colorful strokes depicted what It was an indefinite silhouette, emitting chaotic flashes of color.
What do you see in this picture? - Rivay asked thoughtfully.
Dawn frowned, peering at the scattering of abstract shapes. She managed to make out the outline of a human figure stretching through the raging whirlpool of colors.
Looks like a person... trying to break out of something," she answered uncertainly.
A barely noticeable smile touched Rivay's lips. He was clearly satisfied with this answer.
-Curious. The commander said. - Before you leave, your two future partners are waiting near the elevator that leads to the exit from the base. And since this is your first day as a full-fledged fighter, you can still get to know your Pokemon and partners. I also allow you as a group to leave the base to catch new Pokemon for your needs.
Thanking Rivay, Dawn hid the Pokeball with Lucario along with the empty Pokeballs in a bag on her belt and headed out of the office. She couldn't wait to meet her new Pokemon, but she understood that according to the regulations, it couldn't be released inside the base. Dawn entered the elevator and went down to the floor where the main entrance was located. Two young men with the appearance of experienced fighters were already waiting for her at the door - her new partners.
Seeing Dawn, Rick happily waved his hand and loudly called her name, attracting attention. It seemed that he had not changed at all since their last meeting and remained the same annoying and unceremonious guy.
Hey Dawn, are you our new partner? What a success! - Rick declared loudly.
After the girl heard the screams, she immediately recognized Rick and immediately had annoying thoughts - "It's impossible for this talkative guy to become my partner!"
And next to Rick stood a tall, broad-shouldered guy with a gloomy, almost gloomy expression on his face.
Boris," he said abruptly
Dawn intuitively felt in him some kind of dull threat, some kind of dark aura, a mixture of anger and indifference.
Dawn looked at her partners appraisingly. "Just like in the books - cheerful Rick and his complete opposite, gloomy Boris," the girl thought. Out loud, she only briefly introduced herself in response: "Nice to meet you."
After 15 minutes, the heroes exited the elevator leading to the surface. First of all, going out into the street, Boris took out a pack of cigarettes and lit a cigarette, inhaling the bitter smoke. Rick, meanwhile, unfolded a hiking map of the area.
- Well, partners, where are we going? — Rick asked. "I suggest we start searching in that area!" - He pointed his finger at a wooded gorge on the map. - There are rare Pokemon there!
Dawn narrowed her eyes, peering into the distance. Somewhere out there, in the thicket of trees, a dangerous but exciting hunt could be waiting for them.
- Let's go! - Dawn shouted, urging her partners to move on.
The trio of trainers moved in the direction Rick indicated through the dense forest. We had to walk slowly, making our way through the thicket, stumbling over tree roots. Suddenly Dawn heard a rustling in the bushes. She motioned for her partners to stop and hide. "Who could it be?" - Dawn thought.
The trio was on alert, waiting for someone to appear from the bushes. And to be on the safe side, they decided to release their Pokemon. And as expected, Chimchar jumped out of the bushes.
Seeing the monkey, Dawn immediately commanded her Lucario to use Sphere Aura to weaken the Pokemon to make it easier to catch, since she didn't have many empty Pokeballs.
Although Chimchar dodged the first blow, the second still hit the target, and the Pokemon fell on its back. After which the girl threw her pokeball at the defeated pokemon, and it caught it.
After the Pokemon was imprisoned in a pokeball, a second chimchar ran out of the bushes, the appearance of which indicated that he was clearly dissatisfied with the fact that his friend was grabbed and he ran towards our heroes. Boris immediately commanded his Hitmonchan to suddenly attack the entire Pokemon on them. Since Boris's Pokemon was already well trained, he, of course, knocked out the rather weak monkey with one blow, and in such a way that it showed no signs of life.
"I hope it was the last one," Boris said indifferently.
"Well, that was quick - okay, let's move on, we don't have to hang around here all day," Rick said with a grin.
After this, the heroes decided to go further in search of new Pokemon. And after a while, the trio noticed that the Pokemon Starly was sitting on a tree branch.
"I'll try to catch him unnoticed!" - Dawn whispered and began to carefully sneak towards the tree, hiding in the bushes.
When Starly was about five meters away, Dawn jumped out of cover and threw a Pokeball, catching the singing bird by surprise. The Pokemon did not have time to react and was locked.
"Great throw!" - Rick praised.
"Thank you! Why don't you guys catch Pokemon yourself?" - Dawn asked.
We have enough of our own Pokemon. And those Pokemon that are found here are not particularly interesting to us.
"As you know," the girl answered. After which our heroes continued to search for Pokemon for Dawn and thus Rampardos, Gabyte and Bibarel were caught. And she couldn't catch any more because she ran out of pokeballs.
- Well, we're finally done with Pokemon. – Rick said joyfully. I think in order for us to work better as a team, we should share our stories about how you joined here. So Dawn, what do you even remember after amnesia?
- Well, yay... as always, the girl began stuttering - I remember how I fell from a cliff and hit my head on the ground, after which I immediately saw Commander Rivay, who, according to him, accompanied me, since the police were looking for me because I was engaged in the resale of Pokemon, but since I don't remember anything, I can neither prove nor refute my guilt.
"Wow, that's right," Rick said with great interest. "Although if I were you, I wouldn't trust Commander Rivay that much, he's kind of shady himself, always hiding something."
- Well, I do not know. "I've told my story, now it's your turn," the girl said with a malicious smile.
- The police are definitely looking for me, I already know this for sure because I was involved in theft, at first I started by quietly taking money out of people's pockets, and then I switched to Pokemon and just started stealing capsules with Pokemon and, of course, selling them, it turned out that this was much more It's more profitable than just picking pockets, but unfortunately my luck failed me and I got burned and, like most in this organization, escaped from the police, after which I met with foot soldiers or commanders and was recruited into the organization. Now it's your turn Boris - Rika turned to his partner with a cheerful expression on his face.
Boris crossed his arms and turned his head to the side - My story shouldn't bother you
"Well, I didn't expect anything else from you," Rick said with a chuckle.
After the conversation, the heroes decided to return to the base, since they had nothing to do anyway.
On their way back, they came across a Pokemon trainer. He looked like a ten-year-old boy with glasses and black hair parted in the middle. He was wearing a Pikachu T-shirt and a backpack.
- Well, stand there. Rick told that coach in a commanding tone as he walked towards him.
Seeing our heroes, the boy immediately became nervous, as he already guessed what would happen to him next.
- Let's empty your pockets and take out all your money. Rick said
"Okay, okay, just don't touch me," the coach said with fear, after which he gave them everything they asked for.
-Now let's get out of here. After Rick's words, that coach quickly ran away.
And when he disappeared, Rick, of course, divided the entire sum between three - This is how we basically earn our living.
Dawn was delighted with this since it was her first earned money, although she tried not to show it.
Looking at Rick, the girl said - this is a risky activity.
-What did you think? Rick answered with a smile. - We were lucky, a few months ago I actually met a guy who walked with his Pikachu, so he solo took out the entire team I was in, after that I had to spend several months in the hospital.
After these words, Dawn began to think: Are there really such experienced Pokemon trainers?
- Most likely yes, although by appearance you can't say that he is a very good trainer, since he is younger than you, but he has so much knowledge as if he has been training these Pokemon for decades. – Rick said this with a serious face.
- Yes, most likely they recruited just anyone as usual, and this is the result of this. Boris suddenly decided to intervene in the conversation. Exhaling smoke from a cigarette.
-I doubt it, since there were quite experienced people in my squad. Well, let's not talk about bad things, let's go back to base.
Boris exhaled smoke and threw the cigarette butt on the ground. - At least the only smart thought from myself for today. Walking back, the heroes saw a wounded Pokemon lying on the ground. Looking closer, Dawn was able to determine that it was Pachirisu, unfortunately, she had run out of all her pokeballs and she couldn't catch him, and she could only look at the pokemon with pity.
Boris looked at Dawn and coldly asked her, "Do you really want to help this Pokemon?"
-Not no. The girl said, fearing judgment from her partners.
After these words, Boris smiled silently, as he was pleased with the answer. – Glad to hear, otherwise I really hate weaklings who feel sorry for all sorts of Pokemon.
At these words, the girl could only smile demonstratively. And they went back to the base, and after a while the three were already in their rooms, since there were no orders anyway, and our heroes were already tired.
Returning to her room, Dawn took out a pokeball with Lucario and thought about the fact that tomorrow she would have her first real task as part of the team. "I wonder what they will have to do? I hope it won't be too difficult... In any case, together with Rick, Boris and their Pokemon, they will cope! It's time to rest and gain strength for tomorrow."
