Predacon Vlog: X/G, Y/A #4
"I have come back from taking my momentary vacation and have let my cameras gather any more intel regarding our new subjects. I have played the recordings and discovered something very intriguing.
The Queen has made long alternating tunes to her Sparklings to help them into stasis. It must be something similar to a song in the Predacon language.
I must have the Queen teach me.
... -- ...
The stars were out in Nevada, with the moon shining like a diamond. Clouds of dark pink and purple mixed in the sea of navy blue with the shining diamonds of the stars, making it look like something from a phone wallpaper.
Sitting on the rooftop of her 2-story apartment, was Serenity. She stared up at the galaxy above her, the gentle breeze swaying her braids in the wind. It felt like ages since she had some alone time like this; just her and her thoughts, the outside world surrounding her with its hidden beauty. She felt at peace like this...
"Serenity! Where's my smoothie?!"
Of course, SHE had to ruin it...
Sighing in irritation, she jumped onto the balcony leading to her room. Greeting her arrival was her cold and selfish older sister, Riley. She acted like she owned the world, and always dressed in revealing clothes and tons of makeup. Especially tonight, her lingerie was definitely over-the-top, and Serenity mentally vomited at the look.
"Go make it yourself, Riley. Just like how you always make it your hobby to go to clubs and get wasted all the time." She said, walking past her and going to the garage.
Of course, her bratty older sister followed her in disgust. "For your information, Miss Snob, I am one of the most popular dancers at Club Sugar, so I have to be there for my fans~." Riley's voice was thick with self-bragging and selfish control, it made Serenity cringe.
"Well, guess what? Mom needs you more here, at HOME, than at that stupid place with sick nobodies. So either you grow up and act like your age, or prepare to be kicked out!" And with that, Serenity slammed the garage door right in Riley's face, which made her screech and bang on the door.
"You pathetic piece of trash! Make my smoothie, now!" Serenity ignored her, walking through the various hills of stuff that her father left behind when he moved away with another woman.
Honestly, she didn't mind it. It gave her a new challenge: to fix whatever she can find to the best of her ability. The muffled screaming and banging of her older sister died down slowly as she walked deeper into the garage, her mind drifting to finding her most prized possession.
It was the last gift from her father before he left, which made it extra special. In the far back of the garage, was a black, leather guitar case. It was slightly scuffed with marks all over the front, covered in stickers with stars and butterflies. The moonlight coming from the garage window made the perfect spotlight for the guitar case.
Slowly walking closer, memories of her childhood with father flashed in her mind... painful, but happy memories that she will forever cherish. Her glasses glared subtly from the shine of the silver handle, hiding her far-away gaze in her chocolate brown eyes.
Taking a breath, Serenity gripped the handle of the guitar case and picked it up, putting it down on a slightly junky table filled with tools and metal wires. She slowly snapped off the locks lining up the side, and opened the case.
Inside, was a purple and navy blue acoustic guitar. It was well taken care of, to the point that it looked brand new. Engraved at the bottom in silver, was her name in cursive. She lightly grazed her finger over it, a small smile appearing on her face."... It's been a long time since I touched this..."
Gently picking up the instrument, she put the black strap over her shoulder and gripped the pick in her left hand. Preparing her fingers on the fingerboard, she played a simple tune, the music vibrating from the strings and echoing gently in the garage.
Smiling a bit bigger, she started to play a melody on the guitar, a lullaby her mother and father both sang to her when she was little. It made her tear up, the broken reality that now her family won't ever be complete again.
But through the tears, she continued to smile and play the lullaby. Even if the family wasn't what it used to be...She was grateful for the moments from the past... and for the present and future.
Back at the base, staring up at the night sky, was Galaxy. Her protoform gave off a sense of a ghost as she stood still in the night; mixing in with the colors of the clouds and stars.
Melancholy surrounded her Spark as she stared wistfully at the nebula above her, remembering the last words her Carrier whispered to her.
'Please... find your sister... And... live on... for me...'
Her optics glazed over at the moon, its calm glow reminding her of her Carrier's warm smile. Oh, how she missed it.
Her Spark burned with rage at the Decepticons for causing her family's destruction. She despised them to their inner circuits, and even if she mauled them all...
It wouldn't bring her mother back.
Taking a shaky breath, she closed her optics...
And hummed the last lullaby she heard from the Predacon Queen. Instead of her voice however... was a harmony of a violin and a flute.
Galaxy knew that one day, her Spark would give out and she would see her... mother, as the humans call their Carriers. She knew that death was inevitable.
However, she also knew that it wasn't her time yet. She still had to find her sister, and stop the Decepticons from taking over Earth.
Also... The humans were very fun to interact with, with their talks about "school", and their hobbies made Galaxy always excited for the next story time.
Carrier...
Mother...
Please wait for me...
I have much I want to do here before I see you again. And I hope... my stories will make you smile again.
Well.
Happy 2024, everyone! Finally, another chapter is out! I do hope you all enjoy this!
