The threat of mad magpies continues hanging over the Rats, Dietrich, and Anah as the search begins for a magic sword and adder-stone, but internal conflicts and past traumas may prove to be just as destructive as the magpies themselves.

Pre-story to "Change of Ways" introducing some of the characters and providing a background for them. Troy makes a grave mistake and Dietrich pays quite dearly for it, ending up gravely injured in an Allied field hospital.

A bit of household cleaning leads to Moffitt recounting the time his schooling was delayed due to a bout of serious illness.

Troy drags a less-than-willing Dietrich into a quest to secure a century-old cache of gold bullion said to be hidden in a cave near his ranch in Wyoming. They're not the only ones in search of the gold, though.

Set directly after the the events of the Rat Patrol's final episode, the story follows Dietrich's path into an unsteady future, joining his ways with the Rats and even less expected individuals.

David Troy is used to being the older brother of the The Rat Patrol's leader, be the ramifications good or bad-but this time, he's not the only one being used as bait.

Dietrich agrees to help somebody out on Christmas Eve and ends up on an unexpected road trip along with the Rats. Series

The Rats and Dietrich find themselves engaged in war with chaos-driven magpies while seeking out the next parts to Jules's prophecy, with the magpies using bolder tactics. Fortunately, under Dietrich and Troy's leadership, the Rats do their best to maintain an upper hand, but battling supernatural forces means having to be prepared for an unthinkable blow against one of their own.

When Troy takes over duties for the injured Capt. Boggs, he doesn't know what he'll have to contend with. Paperwork, Arab kidnappers, Dietrich - all of it blows up any idea of a peaceful day at the 'office.'

Based on a concept by The Sailing Rabbit: There is never a time when one or more members of the Rat Patrol and/or their extended families is not nervous or worried about something.

Troy's smaller stature proves to be beneficial in a mission to blow up another ammo dump.

Moffitt and Anah do their best to take care of his son when he becomes sick with the flu.

Dietrich's attempt to help Troy through a low point in his life leads to an impromptu road trip out to the Pacific coast.

Anah receives another mysterious prophecy, this time focused on Moffitt's son and a restless population of magpies bent on wreaking havoc across Britain. She's unwilling to discuss it, after many years of seeing the Rats and Dietrich happy and unburdened, but knows she has to tell the truth somehow and soon, otherwise the happiness will cease to exist.

Moffitt insists that tea must be hot. No exceptions. Tully decides to change his mind, with a little help from Anah.

It should have been an easy adjustment after it became official to become a cohesive unit with their new British member. But there had been a hitch in the plan. For Whumptober 2023 #19 "I'll take one final step, all you have to do is make me." "I'm not as stupid as you think I am."

How Dietrich came close to sending Sgt. Troy off to a POW camp ... for the duration.

Antarctica is the largest desert on Earth - of course Moffitt has to see it for himself, and takes his wife, Vanora, and cobra companion, Anah, with him.

Sgt. Troy receives something he can always treasure from an unlikely source.

Whumptober 2023. When Kurt Hilfer, Dietrich's driver, questions Troy's honor, Dietrich sets him straight.

At any point, anywhere in the world, it's guaranteed that a member of the Rat Patrol is battling some injury or illness. Fortunately, they have each other and their families to help them out through any and all bumps, bruises, and ailments.

Hitch is on his own to rescue Anah, Moffitt's Egyptian cobra companion, after she is kidnapped by a traveling circus.

Takes place immediately following The Zeus Raid Part 2. The mission within a mission concludes
