No Such Luck…or Destiny's Deceit?

Ch 7: The Aftermath of Chaos

William opened the door to the Loud residence and was confused as to why it was messy. "What happened over here?"

"Mr. Adamson?" Leni said as she turned to meet William.

"It's Mr. Afton, Leni…" Luna said, irritated at her sister's stupidity.

"What happened over here, and where's Lincoln?" CC asked, looking for Lincoln.

"He's…" Lana said as she sighed. "Lincoln is at the hospital…"

"Is he visiting someone sick?" Elizabeth asked, concerned.

"No, that's not what exactly happened, Elizabeth…he was being given medical attention at the hospital because something was happening here while you guys were at Freddy's with your dad…" Lola said.

"Oh my word…what caused Lincoln to be in the hospital?" The father of the Afton family asked.

"You should be asking Lynn about it…she's the one who's responsible…" Luan said as she stomped upstairs to her room, and slammed the door shut.

Michael then took his seat from the Loud dinner table, and sat there while waiting for Lincoln's parents and two of the sisters to arrive. William then looked for something to eat, as he took a ham sandwich from Lynn Sr.'s fridge and munched on it. CC then plays with Fred Bear for a while, Elizabeth joins in and makes her Circus Baby plush Fred Bear's princess.

Once the older child of the Afton family heard the van pulling up to the driveway, he looked at the door slowly opening up to meet four familiar people.

"How did 'selling' Lincoln's furniture go?" Michael said, looking at Lori with a cold glare.

"Rita?" William asked, as he looked at Rita. "Why are you crying?"

"My only son is in the hospital because of 'her'…" Rita pointed at Lynn Jr. "She should be the one who you should ask about what happened here…"

"Can you explain why the house is messy and the TV is broken?" Elizabeth asked Lynn Jr.

"My brother got angry and told us off verbally, he even told me that I can't take a simple 'no' for an answer." The avid sports fancier said in defiance.

"It is true, Junior, that one time, you forced him to come to your game and he said 'no' and you threatened him to come to your softball game. You lost that one game and put the blame on him, I don't know why you even lost that game, you're a professional in sports and PE." Lynn Sr. narrated.

"You know what, Junior?" William said as he ate up his sandwich and pointed to the kitchen. "Into the kitchen, we need to talk."

Lynn Jr. went to the kitchen along with William, Michael then turned to Lori with a cold stare.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lori asked Michael, nervous.

The oldest Afton child pulled the older teen's shirt, making her stare into his eyes. "I know you sold Lincoln's furniture, Lori, Lincoln told me…now…" He had the look of anger in his eyes. "Why did you sell Lincoln's furniture?"

Lori didn't know the answer to Michael's question, just like a man losing the key to his house and he didn't know where it was.

"I get it now…" Michael let go of Lori. "You fools for parents and sisters," He pointed at Lincoln's parents and sisters. "sold Lincoln's furniture because it was tainted with bad luck."

Elizabeth heard what her brother said. "But…but, they would never do anything to hurt Linky…"

"They just did, Elizabeth…" Michael told his second sibling. "They treated him as some sort of imperfection, made him sleep outside for two months straight, and told him not to go to the beach until he wore that costume, they 'apologized' and believed he was not bad luck. It was a huge lie when they started seeing him as good luck in that thing, and that's why Stephanie threw away that costume in the dumpster." The Afton teenager narrated.

The ice cream fanatic had tears forming in her eyes. She never thought they would do something much worse like this to hurt Lincoln to the point that he would yell back at them. CC then slowly headed for the stairs, and slowly went up the steps until he sprinted off to Lincoln's room.

Lynn Jr. then chased after him as she ran to catch up to him, but the kid was too fast for her. The youngest of the Afton children then kicked the door open, to see that the room was stripped of its furniture, and Lincoln's belongings like his laptop. toys, comics, and even mini figurines were stacked in clear plastic. Shocked, he dropped his Fred Bear plush, and tears formed in his eyes.

"Hey, kid?" The athlete of the Loud family said when the youngest Afton yelled at her.

"YOU MONSTER!" CC yelled. "WHY WOULD YOU ACCUSE LINCOLN OF SOMETHING STUPID?!"

Shocked, William and Elizabeth ran upstairs to see what happened.

"Joseph? What the—" The Afton father was shocked as he looked around the space that was reserved for Lincoln. The bed was missing, the dresser was missing, and Lincoln's possessions were stacked in clear plastic. "Oh. My. Fucking. God…Lynn, Rita, GET YOUR FUCKING ASSES HERE, RIGHT NOW!"

Lynn Sr. and Rita looked at each other with worry on their faces, and oh boy, William was now angry about how Lincoln's room was deprived of its furnishing.

As soon as the Loud parents got upstairs to Lincoln's former room, the father of three children yelled at them.

"WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU CONSIDER SELLING LINCOLN'S FURNITURE OVER A SUPERSTITION?!" William yelled.

Lynn Sr., feeling exposed, tried to think up of an answer as to why the loving fuck would he consider selling his son's furniture. "Well, actually…we have mistakenly sold Lincoln's furniture…instead of the old ones in the garage?"

"But I don't see any of the old furniture in said garage." The Afton father said as he stared into his friend's eyes. "Tell me the truth…"

"Fine…" He said. "We sold Lincoln's furniture to everyone in the neighborhood, just because we thought it was tainted with bad luck…when we found out that some men who were carrying the furniture, broke it…we decided to uh, you know? Trash it?"

Hearing that made William slap Lynn Sr. "YOU THINK, I AM STUPID ENOUGH TO KICK ONE OF MY CHILDREN OUT OF THE HOUSE BECAUSE OF A BAD LUCK EXCUSE?!"

Rita then fidgeted with her fingers for a bit. William slapped her too, leaving a huge red mark on her face.

Elizabeth had anger coursing through her veins, and she pointed a finger at Lincoln's parents. "YOU FAILURES FOR PARENTS, HOW DARE YOU HURT LINKY?! YOU SOLD HIS FURNITURE AND KICKED HIM OUT OF THE HOUSE FOR TWO MONTHS, ALL BECAUSE OF A BAD LUCK EXCUSE!"

They realized the rage of the little child. Lynn Sr. and Rita would never expect a kind little child like Elizabeth to actually yell at them. They lowered their heads down in shame as they headed to the kitchen to think about what the actual fuck had happened over the last few months.

The next day at the hospital…

Lincoln woke up to find himself in a hospital bed with people he didn't know. "You guys are not my parents…" He said as he moved away from them.

"We're one of your father's best friends…" Henry said.

"Oh…" The 11-year-old Loud as he deactivated his fight-or-flight response. "Are you…perhaps, Mr. and Mrs. Emily?"

"Yes, sweetie…" Valerie answered.

"What happened yesterday…?" Lincoln asked.

"Your 'sister' caused a mess back at your house, so we might have to isolate you from your family for a while…" Henry said.

"Good for me, I don't want to see my 10 bastards for sisters anyway…" His expression shifted from irritation to concern. "But what about Mom and Dad?"

"Don't worry, you'll meet them soon enough." The matriarch of the Emily family said, as she opened the door to meet two familiar people.

"Hey, Mom and Dad!" Lincoln greeted his biological parents, when he noticed the distraught expressions on their faces. "What's wrong?"

"William and the rest of his children found out about what we did with you a few months ago…" Lynn Sr. said as he rubbed the back of his head nervously. "If you see the red marks on our faces, William slapped us last night and told us off verbally…"

The 11-year-old said. "Mr. Afton, Michael, Elizabeth, and CC found out, and good thing…Mrs. Afton didn't just yet, if someone does not add more fuel to the fire…"

Lynn Loud Sr. and Rita Loud took their respective seats next to their sole son, Lincoln Loud.

"What happened with Lynn?" Lincoln asked.

Lynn Sr. sighed as his voice spat some venom upon the mention of his fifth daughter. "I used the belt on your sister, and she's now grounded from playin' or watchin' sports playoffs or turn anything into a sport. Gotta say…your sister is quite annoying (and disgusting), considering how she doesn't attend to her personal hygiene and her armpits smell like rotten eggs…" He retched at the thought of smelling Lynn Jr.'s armpits.

"Yeah…" The 11-year-old Loud chuckled. "When Lucy kicked her out of their room, she begged me so many times to let her stay in my room. I can't even get some sleep because she snores as loud as someone blasting their speakers at full volume…she then turned my room into a stadium when she saw the absence of balls and played lucha libre with me…"

"Usually…I don't have my irritations with Lynn, but there was this one time when me, your dad, you, and Lynn were playing a card game called solitaire, she then wins and brushed it in front of our faces by showing that head-up-her-ass attitude…" Rita said, irritated.

"Lincoln?" Hearing that voice, the parent-child trio turned to see Michael and his friends.

"Why are you with 'them'?" Robert said as he pointed at Lynn Sr. and Rita.

"Hey Robert…" Lynn Sr. said. "I know you're mad at me but—" The Loud patriarch was interrupted when the teen told him, his tone rising with every word.

"Shut. The. Fuck. Up." He said as he stood next to the wall.

To be continued in Ch 8…

A/N: Sorry if I took too long to update this chapter, I was hoping to stop this chapter after Lincoln's conversation with Henry and Valerie. But I decided to stretch it even further for more results. Please leave a review, and I'll see you later.
