Chapter 4
The birds were chirping and the sun was beaming in the rooms. Rukia was so comfortable in her bed she felt as if she was on a cloud. Her body was seeping into the bed and she was not getting out of it anytime soon. Rukia moaned in pleasure as she switched sides to get more comfortable. She snuggled into the pillow snoring loudly and drooling. Rukia was not aware that she wasn't in her old apartment anymore; she was not aware that she was sleeping in her new employer's house. Rukia continued to sleep, not daring to open her eyes for anything well that was until she smelt bacon. Her eyes opened a bit as she looked around. She yawned and tried to wipe away the sleep. She waited for realization to come to her and for her to understand she was no longer in her old apartment. She shook her head and started looking for her bathroom supplies.
After ten minutes she found her soaps and toothbrush and paste along with decorations and towels. She went to the bathroom to set everything up only to be surprised with how huge the bathroom was. It was so big it could have been a second bedroom. The floors and walls were porcelain, the tub was magnificent and the shower was amazing looking. She almost screamed but held back and quickly started the shower and brushed her teeth. She ran to get some jeans and a white shirt with a panda outline on it. She put her hair up so as not to get it wet and hopped into the shower. The moment the warm water touched her she felt as if she was in heaven. The water pressure was perfect and she almost fell out from the hot spray.
Rukia wanted to stay in the shower and just let the water hit her in all the right places. The only thing that made Rukia get out of the shower was her stomach growling in hunger. Rukia stayed in the shower for ten more minutes before reluctantly turning the shower off. She dried off and happily changed into her clothes. She yawned and looked at the time and saw it was hitting eight. She went downstairs to the bacon she continued to smell. When she got downstairs she saw Oko at the stairs. He seemed to be waiting for her. He bowed and walked Rukia to the dining room. Rukia gasped at the waffles and pancakes on the table with eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. Rukia was damn near drooling.
"Good morning breakfast is ready. Since today is Sunday the girls always sleep in. I have made breakfast for everyone you have actually come down pretty early. Usually the women Ichigo hied slept in and didn't wake up until noon." Oko stated.
Rukia smiled, "Well I smelt the bacon and had to come down and see what else was gracing the breakfast table."
Oko laughed, "Yes, breakfast is ready."
Rukia silently cheered, "That is awesome umm I'll go wake the girls and then we can come down and eat that wonderful breakfast."
Oko bowed and went back to the kitchen. Rukia went to the elevator and walked to the girls' shared room. While walking Rukia saw a tall girl with a short blackish green boyish haircut. She had peach tan skin and honeynut eyes. She was scowling as Rukia walked to the girls room. Rukia decided to bow and introduce herself.
"Good morning my name is Rukia Sode. I'll be the new Nanny."
The girl rolled her eyes, "Another Seireitei trash woman. I could care less."
Rukia continued to smile as she was not going to let this girl take her out of character. She could tell she was going to have a problem with her.
"Actually I'm from Karakua." Rukia corrected.
The girl snorted, "A bumpkin huh? Well then you aren't here to just fuck Ichigo Kurosaki hmm whatever."
The girl walked away leaving Rukia alone. Rukia glared as she watched the girl walk away. She had no idea what just happened but she decided to ignore it. Rukia walked to the girls room and couldn't help but coo at them. They were sprawled out all over the queen size bed. Mia was snoring hard while Hana had her foot in Mia's face. Rukia giggled and went to wake the girls up. She started with Mia shaking her arm. Mia whined and turned away from her. Rukia gave Hana a shake and succeeded. Hana whined and opened her golden irises and yawned. She rubbed her eyes and looked at Rukia.
"Morning Rukie."
Rukia smiled, "Morning Hana breakfast is ready."
Hana scratched her head and then kicked Mia. She yelled and immediately woke up glaring hard at Hana. Hana smiled and got out of the majestic bed and turned to look at Mia.
"Breakfast is ready Mia come on."
Rukia watched Mia grumble as she hopped out of bed and grabbed Hana's hand and went to the bathroom. Rukia followed and watched as the girls brushed their teeth and wiped each other's faces. Hana didn't have to put on any creams yet since she wasn't headed outside or anything. The girls both grabbed Rukia's hand and walked to the elevator. Oko was there to greet the girls. He bowed and Hana ran to be picked up. She giggled and Oko walked to the dining room. He sat Hana down and Mia ran to sit next to her. Oko pulled up a seat for Rukia and she thankfully sat down.
Ran'Tao walked out of nowhere and sat down at the end of the table. Ichigo then appeared and sat at the head of the table. Oko sat next to Ran'Tao and started making his plate. The table was like a feasting table; everything was sprawled out and ready to be picked from. Rukia immediately went for the bacon and pancakes and waffles. She drowned it in syrup and dug in with no regards to manners.
"Hmm, very childlike." Ran'Tao stated.
Oko gave a small smile, "It's very refreshing."
"So then what is on everyone's agenda today?" Ichigo asked.
Ran'Tao straightened up and gave Ichigo a serious look.
"I'll be headed to the…company and making sure everything is in order."
Oko wiped his mouth ever so delicately, "I'll do what I usually do sir I'll tend to the house."
"Speaking in code I see."
Everyone looked to see the girl with the greenish black short cut. She was wearing baggy pants and an oversized shirt. Rukia could see Ran'Tao turning red while Oko kept a calm demeanor but Ichigo was glaring daggers at the girl. Mia and Hana waved her in.
"Yumi Yumi come eat with us." Mia cheered.
Hana nodded, "Yup yup Oko fixed waffles they're so good."
Rukia gave a shocked look. Yumi looked nothing like her sisters or really Ichigo. The girl known as Yumi looked at the table and sneered.
"No thanks, I would rather not be poisoned." Yumi stated factly. Rukia gave a confused look. Yumi noticed and laughed, "Ah the new Nanny, try not to end up in a body bag like the last one."
Ichigo slammed his hand down on the table frightening Rukia and the girls. Ran'Tao scolded and stood up Oko put a hand on her to settle her.
"Yumi please escort yourself out." Ichigo boomed loudly.
Yumi laughed, "Whatever you say Kurosaki you're the head after all."
Yumi laughed loudly as she slammed the door behind her. Ichigo sighed and went back to eating as if nothing had happened. Ran'Tao on the other hand was seething. Rukia could tell that her presence was not needed so she looked at the girls and asked if they wanted to go out for a ride. They cheered and ran to the elevator to get to their room. Oko gave a small smile as Rukia walked away to help Hana get her creams and sunscreen on. Mia once again observed as Rukia showed her what cream was which and what it was for. Mia nodded invested and took mental notes. Once she was done Mia and Hana put on a pair of blue jeans Mia wore a pink shirt with a heart on it and Hana wore a black shirt with a cat sleeping on it. Rukia chuckled a bit but put Hana's hair in a ponytail and grabbed some sunglasses and an umbrella. It was just in case she was always prepared for the worse. Rukia walked the girls downstairs and was once again greeted by Oko.
"May I ask where are you going?"
"Oh I was going to take them to the park and then get some lunch, maybe a picnic." Rukia answered.
Oko nodded, "Sounds fun, be sure to have them home around seven for dinner they have school tomorrow."
"Of course we'll be back around dinner." Rukia stated.
Oko bowed, "Oh and what car will you be taking?"
Rukia gave a confused look, "Umm I usually take the bus or train."
"No ma'am while you're living here a car will be given to you to drive. Now follow me."
Rukia and the girls followed behind Oko outside. He walked out into an open garage. Rukia and girls scurried behind him. Rukia looked in the garage at the multiple expensive cars. Oko turned to Rukia and smiled telling her to pick her favorite looking car. Rukia looked at the numerous sports cars and electric cars and gave a small smile. She walked to the very average blue Volkswagen and smiled. Oko gave Rukia a look but said nothing as he walked ahead and got the keys from a wall behind the car. He handed Rukia the keys and a credit card then told them to have fun. Rukia happily took the keys and card then she and the girls hopped into the car.
Rukia looked at the time and saw it was hitting ten-thirty. She drove to a local market and held the girl's hand telling them to stay close to her. Mia and Hana helped push the cart so Rukia was able to keep them in her field of view. Rukia decided on a picnic with the girls once they were tired out at the park. She looked around and grabbed meats, cheeses, condiments and different breads. She grabbed the girl's juice boxes and herself a soda. She also decided to spend some money on herself and buy some baking supplies. She was thinking about making cupcakes soon and wanted to put a spin on them.
Rukia noticed while shopping that the Seireitei shopping markets were way more expensive and high class then the Karakua towns market. She also noticed that people were dressed for the market and she was feeling very underdressed. Mia asked if they could get a dessert for the picnic which Rukia agreed to. Hana and Mia giggled happily and walked to the cake section. Both girls grabbed a chocolate cake for themselves and smiled cheerfully. Rukia gleefully paid for everything with the credit card given to her and then drove to the nearest park. When Rukia got there it was hard to find a parking spot. The girls were getting anxious and started squirming around wanting to hurry and go play. Rukia opened the door for the girls, giving each one of them a bag stopping them from running off and getting lost. Rukia found a nice vacant bench in the corner where she would be able to see the girls when they left to play but just far enough from others. Rukia and the girls sat the bags down and Rukia gave them a stern look.
"Now look girls I want you to have fun but please be careful. Mia watch Hana and I'll be over here. If you need anything I'll be over here setting up the sandwiches and cakes." Rukia stated.
The girls nodded and ran off together to the slide. Rukia giggled and got out the ingredients she got to make a sandwich. Ever so often Rukia would look up to see the girls playing together and running around with other kids. It warmed Rukia's heart seeing kids play together. Her siblings rarely got to go out and play; they each dealt with their own depression with their parents dying and having to move with their aunt; they rarely had fun as kids. Rukia set the sandwiches up and cut them into small finger sandwiches. Rukia could hear the girls screaming in joy. After a good thirty minutes the girls came running over to Rukia completely out of breath. The two sat on the other side of the bench and put on hand sanitizer that was on the table for the girls. Rukia handed the girls plates with four finger sandwiches on them and their cakes with spoons. Rukia made herself two regular sandwiches and happily ate them.
"Oh these are yummy." Hana announced.
Mia nodded, "Yeah and they're adorable. Oko never made these before."
Rukia chuckled, "Finger sandwiches they're the best."
Rukia handed the girls their juices and got out her soda. They ate and looked around at the nature surrounding them enjoying the sounds of the birds. Looking at the colorful butterflies that flew around them and the sounds of bees pollinating pretty flowers. It was nice and comforting. Hana asked if they could walk on the trail together. Rukia of course obliged so once they were done Rukia and the girls cleaned up and threw their trash away. Rukia and the girls marched down the trail and looked around. Hana played with the butterflies catching them and playing with them. Mia on the other hand looked at caterpillars and beetles. Rukia kind of distanced herself not liking bugs of any kind. After a good two hours out Rukia decided it was time to go. Rukia drove around for a bit and then asked if the girls wanted to head to the lake. Rukia looked online and saw a nice little lake she and the girls could chill at. Hana and Mia both cheered.
"Wow Rukie this is the most fun we've had with a Nanny." Hana stated.
Rukia gave a small smile and then sped to the lake. It was a nice experience. It wasn't nice enough outside to jump in the lake but the girls just ran and played tag together. Rukia chuckled and went to play tag with them. She was enjoying her day with the girls. It was a nice day overall. The girls did put their feet in the lake and splash around for a bit. Rukia looked at the time and saw it was time to go. It was a nice drive back, the guard let her in with no complaints and Rukia was happy that the girls were normal sweet little girls and not spoiled stuck up children. Hana asked if Rukia could help her bathe and Rukia of course agreed. No one was around which threw Rukia off a bit but she shrugged it off. It was only six and they were told dinner would be ready at seven.
Rukia walked with the girls to the elevator and walked them to their room and then went down to hers. She took out clothes for herself for a nice hot shower after cleaning the girls. She got her towel ready and then went back to the girls room to clean Hana and show Mia the creams she uses. Mia and Hana were ready for their shower. Rukia giggled a bit and went to work starting the shower. She made it nice and warm and told the girls to get in. She washed the girls ever so delicately soaped them up and rinsed them down three times. Once done she dried the girls and showed Mia the creams and explained them again. Rukia then helped the girls pick out some pajamas. Mia chose an orange pair of night pants and a silk button up nightshirt. Hana chose a pretty little black night dress and Rukia put her hair in a ponytail and then told the girls she had to take a quick shower herself.
The girls asked if they could hang in her room which she agreed and decided to turn on a baking show for them. Rukia almost fell in heaven when she let the streaming warm water hit her body. She moaned quietly to herself and just let the water massage her body. It took a good thirty minutes before Rukia had to drag herself out of the shower and dry off much to her dismay. She saw the girls invested in the baking show and gave a small smile. She checked the time it was just hitting seven so Rukia quickly changed and walked downstairs with the girls together for dinner. To Rukia's surprise Oko wasn't there, actually no one was there. Rukia huffed and started searching the house with girls for where everyone was. She stopped when she heard Ran'Tao screaming.
"So we're just going to let that little bitch roam around and possibly put the family in danger?"
Rukia's eyes widened, she didn't want to be nosey and her gut feeling was telling her to get away from the door. She dragged the girls to the kitchen and decided to make them something to eat. She wasn't the best cook in the world but she knew how to whip something up out of nothing in desperate times. Rukia made some beef stew and white rice. It was simple and easy. The girls ate happily and so did Rukia. Once done she walked the girls upstairs tucked them in and wished them a good night. She then walked to her room and continued the baking show. She was so curious on what Ran'Tao was talking about or more so who. It plagued Rukia for the rest of the night that she had trouble going to sleep that night. She knew something wasn't right.
A/N Sorry I'm late but Happy New Years wanted to get this out asap since I updated parents life I wanted to update this one as well. I hope this one is better than my old version. Not many reviews on how the story is doing but eh I take that as a good thing. To those who do review, thank you. I really appreciate your feedback and everything. Unfortunately as stated on Parent Life I am going to be going back to school soon before I go back. I want to upload one more chapter for each story but I don't know if I'll be able to get them out. If I can't, I hope this chapter satisfies you a bit. Again comment review like follow and enjoy the new years. I hope there are very few mistakes after dealing with the reboot of Life isn't easy I think I drained myself. I won't be posting tomorrow since it's my b-day lol but hopefully before school starts I can post something.
