Hey, hey! Short chapter, but it's a nice one for my hurt/comfort lovers.
WARNING: Kissing. Teenage kissing. Nothing further than that.
Enjoy :)
It was a lazy day. They deserved to have such a day to themselves.
Hinata was back now. Naruto and Sasuke would be leaving in the next few days and just so happened to get the blessing from Hinata's father to let Hinata spend unsupervised time with them. Only because Hiashi knew they wouldn't let Hinata wander off.
Naruto was lying on Sasuke's bed. On his back sprawled out across the bed. Sasuke was lying at the head of the bed on the pillow. He had his legs over Naruto's stomach and was content in his position. Hinata laid on Sasuke's stomach. Listening to the sounds it made as she was facing Naruto and watched his every move.
Naruto looked at Hinata and the two made eye contact. He smiled at her and Hinata returned the motion as gentle and beautiful as Naruto knew she would. "What are you thinking Hinata?"
Hinata closed her eyes when she felt Sasuke run his fingers through her hair. Freeing it on the covered bun she had. He liked playing with her hair lately. It brought him peace. "I want to know too. You think too much."
Hinata bit her bottom lip a little embarrassed from all the attention. She opened her eyes to see Naruto still staring at her patiently waiting. "I wonder how long my father will keep me restricted."
Naruto reached over to her and Hinata played with his fingers. The two enjoying the time they were slotted with one another. "Knowing your dad. Forever." Hinata actually giggled at this. She covered her mouth as her giggles turned into a laugh. "Naruto-kun!"
Naruto grinned at Hinata. "I'm a little serious. It will definitely be longer than Kakashi-sensei. Man…I wish you were still staying with him." Naruto closed his eyes for a moment and flinched. He didn't mean to say that out loud. Him and Sasuke just had a talk about not bad mouthing Hinata's father.
Shit.
Hinata looked at Naruto curiously. She waited for him to open his eyes and look at her. "I didn't mean to say that Hinata." Said person still looked at Naruto quizzically. "You don't…like my father."
It was a statement, because Hinata could see Naruto and Sasuke both held back when talking about Hiashi. After rehab. After everything Hiashi has done for Hinata. She could not hate him. They still haven't discussed many issues from her upbringing, and probably never will. Hinata has decided she was okay with never having closer if it meant her clan would thrive. "He's helped me. I cannot look at him with malice anymore."
Hinata could hear Sasuke let out a grunt. "Are we being honest with one another?" He moved Hinata's hair to the side and saw how it got so long it was already at the end of her neck.
She was a real beauty.
Porcelain, soft skin. That glowed in the moonlight. No matter how bad Hinata's addiction carried her and no matter how much weight she lost. She always had chubby cheeks that would get rosy.
Sasuke ignored his grown perverse thoughts that were starting to invade his mind. Where he was mentally was not where Hinata was. Sometimes Naruto was on the same mind frame as Sasuke, but still not yet there. Naruto still wasn't ready to cross to adult behavior yet with Sasuke. Very close though.
Sasuke figured when they set out on their travels Naruto would be more open. Considering he didn't have to hide being into a male with Jiraiya around. Naruto's godfather knew and accepted it already. He accepted it more than Naruto did.
Hinata turned and looked at Sasuke. Her eyes clear and focused.
Sasuke looked at Hinata interested. He studied her features more. "I notice now the difference. Your eyes when you were drinking compared to now. It's different. Your eyes are even clearer compared to when you stayed with Kakashi. They're focused and just different."
Naruto sat up to look at Hinata. He never thought about Sasuke or Hinata's personal space. Naruto was just Naruto and invaded their space at all times. He took Hinata's chin and turned her to look at him. Studying what Sasuke was talking about. "Oh! I see. It kind of reminds me of my eyes."
This caught Hinata off guard. Naruto had beautiful eyes. Especially to Hinata. Bright, blue beautiful eyes. Hers were boring and bland. Not the same. "How? How do they remind you of yours Naruto-kun?"
Naruto now was cupping Hinata's face. Enjoying feeling her skin. "When I get angry. Not like nine tails angry, just really upset. My eyes get darker. You've told me that before. When I'm normal they are a lighter blue and when I get really serious about something. Like a cool blue."
Naruto's thumb pulled on Hinata's bottom lip and he licked his lips. The action didn't go unnoticed with Sasuke. He arched a brow as he watched Naruto.
Naruto moved his eyes to look back at Hinata's eyes. "When you weren't sober. Your eyes were cloudy. Like the sky. Just gray and void of life. As you got sober and when you stayed with Kakashi-sensei. You started to get some color back. Like a hint of lavender in your eyes. You started to make more eye contact and I could see a spark. I don't think the commitment was there when you stayed with Kakashi-sensei like it is now with your father. Now your eyes are clear. I can see more then gray. I can see your passion. I can actually see that you want to be around me and Sasuke."
Naruto leaned over and pressed his forehead against Hinata's. He closed his eyes and took several deep calming breaths. Taking in Hinata's scent. He was going to miss her SO much.
Naruto let out a dark chuckle as he pulled away and laid back on the bed. His eyes closed and his brows furrowed together. "This is hard. It's not fair." Naruto pinched the bridge of his nose and held his emotions in so he didn't end up letting a tear slip out or something. He licked his lips and let out a wobbly smile.
Hinata quickly made her way over to him. Naruto wanted to reject her touches because if he felt anymore affection from Hinata. It would surely break him.
Hinata leaned over Naruto and ran her fingers through his hair. He didn't wear his forehead protector and looked so young and innocent. They all were. Naruto felt how Hinata felt. They were going to miss one another.
She kissed his forehead and watched a single tear escape his eyes. "You weren't supposed to see me like this Princess." He took several deep breaths because he didn't want to ball his eyes out and cry. He wasn't a crier, so Naruto had no clue why he was crying now.
Secretly he knew why. He was in love for the first time in his life and this was hurting him to his core.
"I like to see you like this. I like to see Naruto-kun happy, sad, angry. Even hyper." Naruto laughed at this. Hinata was trying to make him laugh and feel better. He still had his eyes closed and bit the bottom of his lip. "You're not making me feel better Hinata. You're making me feel worse because I'm going to miss everything about you."
Hinata paused for a moment and thought over what she was going to do.
She lifted herself up and laid on top of Naruto. Her front flush against his, and she hugged him. Her head laid on his chest and she listened to his heart beat. Her own eyes becoming watery as she listened to his steady heartbeat. "It sounds beautiful Naruto-kun. Everything about you is pure."
Her voice. It was so soft and gentle.
Naruto held her and finally couldn't hold himself together anymore. He was going to leave Hinata in a few days. For who knows how long. It wasn't fair. He just got her back. She was his again.
He cried.
Naruto and Hinata hugged one another and silently cried to themselves as they realized the beautiful thing they had together would have to be paused. For an unknown time frame.
Sasuke watched the two of them. The situation was depressing and Sasuke himself was getting an itchy throat from watching them. Sasuke wiped a single tear that fell from his eyes quickly and looked off to the side.
They were 15. Why was life so dramatic and hard for them already?
"Stop it you two." Sasuke had his arms crossed over his chest and refused to look at Naruto and Hinata sit around and sulk. "You're ninja's. It could be worse. You could be mourning over one of you being dead. Instead it's because we're going on a training trip. So…just stop it."
Naruto nodded his head. Agreeing with Sasuke. Hinata nodded her head in Naruto's chest and sat up to wipe her face from being wet. She looked at Naruto and smiled brightly at him. Actually showing her teeth.
Naruto sat up and held her cheeks and kissed her. He kissed her several times and each time Hinata matched his urgency.
Naruto pulled her down with him to lay back on the bed. He ignored the inappropriate thoughts that crossed his mind though. Hinata was breaking every last rule she made for them right now. Kissing with her tongue. Lying on top of him. Invading his space and pushing his thoughts to want more from this, but Naruto knew better.
Hinata was recovering. She didn't need anything else to focus on. Hinata needed to focus on herself. She needed to grow as a person.
Naruto smiled as he pulled Hinata away and gave her an eskimo kiss. "You just want me to pack you away in my travel bags and sneak you with me. Don't you?" He was taking big breaths to calm his nerves and Hinata giggled at Naruto. The two slowly getting a grip on themselves.
Hinata was sitting up all the way now. Straddling Naruto, but everyone knew it would not progress from here. She felt Sasuke maneuver on the bed and advance towards them on his hands and knees. "I don't like your father Hinata."
Hinata leaned her forehead against Sasuke's. The two taking one another in. Sasuke looked down at Hinata's fingers and played with them. Collecting his thoughts. "I do not like him, but I understand that now he is important to you. So is Neji. Your family comes with having you. Just like the nine tails comes with Naruto. My family burdens come with me. I get it. I will respect it."
Hinata smiled at this and gave Sasuke a peck on the lips in gratitude. He frowned at this. Almost like a pout. "No. Kiss me how you kissed Naruto."
Hinata blushed deeply. Her and Naruto had a moment of weakness she supposed. Hinata usually had more composure of herself. Still, she kissed Sasuke the way he wanted because she enjoyed the calm energy Sasuke emitted when she kissed him.
Naruto emitted protection and Sasuke emitted calming comfort.
Naruto played with Sasuke's fingers that were on the bed and was surprised when Sasuke reached for his hand and held it tightly. Not allowing Naruto to pull away. Silently showing his feelings for Naruto as well.
This brought a smile to Naruto's face.
Hinata cradled Sasuke's face and furrowed her brows into the wet kiss. "Sasuke-kun." She said his name softly. She was enjoying this too much again. Confusion was in her voice on top of her enjoyment and Sasuke picked up on it.
He pulled away and bit Hinata's bottom lip before regaining some of his composure. "I know." Sasuke leaned back to look at Hinata's face. She looked happy. He felt happy himself. Naruto looked happy. They were all happy like this and it wasn't going to last. This was torture.
Still. Sasuke held that cocky smirk of his because he still had to be Naruto and Hinata's rock. He couldn't break right now. "Breaking the rules you created Princess."
Hinata hid in her hands and made a squeal when Naruto tried to remove her hands from her face. He laughed when doing this and Hinata giggled as well. "I know! I t-told you it is hard to control m-myself!"
They tussled and played for some time. Happy and content with each other. With the small world they built for one another. Finally they settled down and Sasuke decided to find snacks around his kitchen and shared them with Naruto and Hinata on his bed.
The three were actually actively indulging in a cup of ramen, when Hinata looked up from her cup to stare at Naruto and Sasuke. Curiosity danced in her eyes. She was staring at Naruto so hard he started to notice and looked up at her. "What?"
Hinata still looked to be in thought, but she pushed herself to ask. "D-Drinking alcohol is recreational for the right people. Our peers will soon do it. Do you or Sasuke ever want to try drinking one day? Have you already?"
Naruto's answer was immediate. "No, to both questions. Well for me it's a hard no Hinata. It's never crossed my mind to try doing something I know you struggle in not submitting to. So no. I won't be drinking."
Hinata frowned at this and looked at Sasuke. Just for him to shake his head no, in agreeance with Naruto. "You don't have to do this for me. I will learn and adapt to be okay if you and Sasuke want to drink recreationally."
Sasuke arched his brow at her. He always wondered when Hinata's first addiction manipulation tactic would come him and Naruto's way. Kakashi was right. Hinata was very smooth with it. To the point she probably didn't even notice her addiction trying to resurface.
"That is your addiction talking. Telling you to encourage us to do something forbidden for yourself. Alcohol causes people to think and act differently. If me and Naruto were under the influence. What's to stop you from convincing us to let you drink too?"
Hinata looked at Sasuke shocked. "I would NEVER do that." Honestly she was a little hurt he believed this. She wouldn't do that…she would try her hardest not to do that at least.
Sasuke tilted his head as he looked at Hinata. His cup of ramen forgotten. "There is so much I never thought you would do. Like down a bottle of rubbing alcohol. Willing to murder your insides for an instant high. I see what your addiction can push you to do, and I'm sure me and Naruto have only seen the tip of the iceberg. You try really hard for me and Naruto specifically not to see you at your worse. Even though you've seen us at our worse."
It was a little weird how Hinata boxed Naruto and Sasuke in this world away from her actual reality. How she didn't want them to see her true demons. They would have to one day.
Naruto nodded his head at this. "You've seen me go nine tails not once but twice. You've seen my poor living conditions and the fact I really didn't even know how to do proper hygiene until I got on team seven. You hear the villagers talk absolutely horrible things about me. You've seen me at low points Princess."
Sasuke grunted his agreeance. "We can all remember my low points on this team. From the moment we were assigned as teammates. I was the first one to almost die while on a mission. Fall victim to that snake monster and his annoying curse mark. My…family. I can't overcome that and the constant anger and bouts of mood swings it brings me. You've seen me at horrible moments."
Hinata looked down at her food and started to pick at it. "You both have seen me at very low points. You know all of my secrets. I just…I just wanted to know if something like drinking was an interest to you. I didn't want you to think I would use you so I could drink."
Why would she risk losing them? Hinata wouldn't tell Naruto or Sasuke, but that was one of her worst fears.
Naruto smiled as he looked at Hinata. "I'm not drinking just so you'd feel comfortable. I'm not drinking because I don't want to. Yes, seeing you struggle makes me want to steer clear from it, but also, I just don't want to." He took a bite of his noodles and eyed Hinata. His eyes shifting to that cool blue color to show he was serious and that he was finished with this conversation.
Even Sasuke knew to drop a topic when Naruto got that look.
A smirk played on Naruto's face as he eyed Hinata. "So. We know all of your secrets? I disagree Princess." Hinata blinked at Naruto. He was being so mischievous. "What do you want to know?"
Naruto eyes shifted to Sasuke for a moment before he looked back at Hinata. Mischievous as ever. "When did you start liking Sasuke? Since you've always liked my boyish good looks. When did you feel the same for Sasuke?" Hinata giggled at Naruto's silliness. How he was making light of his question, but still wanted an answer.
Sasuke looked interested in the question. He silently stared at Hinata with the cup of noodles in his hand waiting for the answer. Naruto looked at Hinata as a grin stretched across his face. "Did you finally start to fall for the Uchiha charm, Princess? Hmm?"
Hinata finally stopped giggling and smiled at Naruto. "That is hard to answer. We've been on a team for quite some time." She bit her bottom lip in thought and slightly embarrassed. "I will say when I wasn't sober. I was not a fan of Sasuke-kun at all. It was hard for me to separate him from other people that talked down to me in my family."
She looked at Sasuke and saw the slight guilt on his face. He knew he hurt her. He knew he had said some horrible things to her to bring her down. No different than her abusive family.
Hinata smiled while thinking of a memory. "On Naruto-kun's birthday. Last year at the ramen stand when Sakura, Ino and many girls were all over you. You looked for me. To see if I was watching. You wanted my attention."
Naruto had never seen Sasuke light up red from a blush of embarrassment, but there it was. Who would have thought Hinata would have noticed that. Naruto had noticed, but he really thought Hinata wasn't paying attention to him or Sasuke.
Hinata smiled as she stared at Sasuke. "It was authentic. I thought it was rather cute. I felt the same way when Naruto-kun would try to make me laugh when he saw me looking rather rough after a training session with my father."
Hinata saw the signs. Even when her addiction was at its peak.
Sasuke cleared his throat and put his cup of ramen down as he avoided looking at Hinata. She knew. This whole time. She knew he liked her. "Hinata. The day we were assigned the mission to get that stupid cat. That is when I found out I had feelings for you. That those feelings were more than wanting you to be my comrade."
Hinata looked at Sasuke and the two made eye contact. She looked like she didn't believe him. He arched his brow at her. "You don't believe me?"
Hinata blinked and didn't really know how to say what she was thinking. "Sometimes, it's hard for me to believe you and Naruto-kun really care for me, but I am working on accepting such feelings."
Hinata looked away from Sasuke and appeared to be flustered again. "Why do you and Naruto-kun kiss each other without me around? It umm…makes me feel left out. I have not kissed either of you alone."
Naruto blushed at the bold question. For the first time looking uncomfortable with a question. Sasuke grinned at this and looked at Naruto. "Naruto is still in denial." Said person sent Sasuke a harsh look. "SHUT IT."
Sasuke kept his grin on his face. "What? You do want to kiss when we're alone. For some reason you don't want Hinata to see. What you think she won't see you as manly anymore?"
Naruto was crossing a line from being flustered to flat out angry. "Teme I SWEAR." Hinata placed a hand on Naruto's and he closed his eyes and refused to look at Hinata. "Can we NOT talk about this?"
Hinata still looked at Naruto. Slightly hurt by his words. "I-I don't understand. You and Sasuke-kun will be together for some time. I don't…I don't understand why I cannot be included."
Naruto slowly opened his eyes and forced himself to look at Hinata. "I don't know. It's not every day that everything I do is accepted by someone Hinata."
He gave this bitter smile as he spoke. "I'm learning to accept the affection just like you are Hinata. Just like Sasuke is. It's not easy for me either. Especially when my whole life everything I've done was frowned upon. Could you imagine if the villagers found out I was a bisexual guy? Holy fuck that would be horrible."
Hinata frowned at this. "Naruto-kun. I am not the villagers." Naruto this time puffed his cheeks out in frustration. "I know that Hinata."
Sasuke rolled his eyes as he watched Naruto and Hinata. They could be so annoying sometimes with not being straight forward. Sasuke leaned over to Naruto and looked at him. The two looked at each other face to face. "If it makes you feel better Hinata. Naruto never starts it. He just waits and mopes until I kiss him."
Naruto turned his head from Sasuke. Annoyed that he was the center of the topic. Sasuke tilted his head as he continued to look at Naruto. Waiting for Naruto to look back at him.
Naruto looked off to the side and his eyes got cooler by the second. "It must be nice to be comfortable in your own skin. You never had to feel like how me and Hinata felt Sasuke. Rejected every second of every day by everyone. So stop being a prick about it."
Sasuke continued to look at Naruto. He leaned over and used his nose to turn Naruto's head to look at him. "You're right. I don't know how it feels to be you and Hinata. I don't know what it feels like to start off behind and always be behind. Being born alone with nothing and no one. I don't know how it feels like to have an abusive family. To be mentally and physically abused and tortured by adults that are supposed to love and protect you."
Sasuke stiffened and his jaw tightened as he looked at Naruto. Sorrow filled his eyes, "I know how it feels to have a mother that loved me. A father that protected me. A brother…who I thought was someone that I could look up to and adore. I had a clan and I was happy. I know how it feels to have everything…and have it all taken away from me, and having to watch it. Over and over again."
Naruto felt like a complete and utter asshole as he looked at the hurt in Sasuke's eyes. The young Uchiha looked off to the side and closed his eyes. "Naruto. You and Hinata didn't know how to let me in. You thought I wouldn't understand either of you. I knew how to let you in, but I was too scared to. I was scared that you would understand me and see that I'm flawed. That I can't protect you and Hinata so easily."
Sasuke opened his eyes when he felt lips on his. Naruto kissed him this time. He cradled Sasuke's cheeks and gave him a deep, passionate kiss.
Hinata watched the two and smiled. She held both her hands to her lips and looked so happy to see Naruto opening up to Sasuke. Building a deeper connection for the three of them.
Both males sensed Hinata just staring at them and Naruto smiled as he kissed Sasuke. "You're so weird Hinata." Naruto said this in between kisses, but didn't stop kissing Sasuke. The young Uchiha accepted the affection and let Naruto control the moment.
Naruto toppled over Sasuke and held him close to his frame. "I'm sorry." Naruto finally stopped his kiss assault and sat up from his position over Sasuke. "I know you're hurting Sasuke. Just like the rest of us."
Sasuke was taking deep breaths as he laid on his back on the bed and looked at Naruto and then Hinata. "You're not the only one upset with how everything is going Naruto. I want you to be comfortable. I want Hinata to come with us. I don't want to be separated. Just because I don't show it like you, doesn't mean I don't feel the same."
Hinata rested her head on Sasuke's chest and laid with him. Followed by Naruto.
Sasuke took a deep breath and felt at ease now that he had the comfort of Naruto and Hinata. He really didn't want this to end. He didn't want to leave Hinata.
Hinata wrapped her arms around Sasuke's frame and kissed him through the fabric of his shirt. "When you get back. I will make sure Sasuke-kun and Naruto-kun are never alone again. We will never be alone once this is over. We will always find happiness in each other."
Naruto and Sasuke smiled at what Hinata said. They liked the sound of that.
End of chapter!
So, a little foreshadowing on Hinata's addiction. She's going to have a big challenge in the future and that'll be the worse Naruto and Sasuke will see her in her struggle. That is a few chapters down the line.
I wanted to have a chapter that better show cased their bond and affection for one another. A nice NaruHinaSasu chapter all around. So, I hope you enjoyed it.
See you Wednesday!
