Hi Cavaliershipping/Shigehika fans. Thank you for commenting on my previous fic. I am surprised that the ship that dates back to 2008 still has active fans on the internet eventhough it only has 27 views, but just you liking this fic is enough for me.
Trigger warning this fic is a T-rated romantic comedy fic that involves alcohol and violence (and not violent Pokemon battle). I write many alcohol involved fics for Shigehika (with this it's two fics already, do we need more? I think we do) because to me both Shigeru and Hikari have potential to be partygoers lol. Not to mention that Shigeru is already a canon partygoer as we saw from season 1.
Dawn supported Gary's arm on her shoulders as he walked fumblingly. It was hard when she herself also was still a bit dizzy from the alcohol. Now that they're finally 18, they finally got to visit the newest bar in the city together.
Just the two of them. They didn't have Ash, Kenny, Zoey, or Paul here with them because apparently, their other friends didn't agree with their idea of fun that involves alcohol and loud music.
"Dawn, do you know what rhymed with Abra? It's AbraKadabra." Gary muttered.
"Gary you're too drunk!" Dawn laughed, she thought she liked Pokemon poetry more than him. Turned out she was wrong!
Dawn didn't know he could had too many drinks. Girls were swarming up on him and while she was surrounded by guys herself, she was afraid he was kidnapped by one of random girl, so she chose to drag him back home.
They zigzagged until she accidentally bumped a scary looking guy.
"Sorry." Dawn simply said.
"Hey cutie," The scary looking guy called and stepped in front of them ,"Why don't you go with us instead of him?"
"Stay away from my friend, ugly wench." Gary said.
"You have a fine face, young man." The scary looking guy commented ,"Why don't you come with us too and show us what you can do?"
Gary smirked and quickly punched one of the scary looking guys. "This is what I can do."
Blood came out of his mouth and nose, causing him to crouched down on the ground. The other guy backed in fear when he saw his friend's teeth fell out, that was one powerful punch. He ran away leaving his friend.
"Aaah!" Dawn screamed in terror upon witnessing the violent scene.
"You bastard." The scary guy covered his bloody face and prepared to strike back.
Before he could move, Gary pulled his hair and jab him with his knees, causing him to faint. Dawn immediately covered her face with her hands.
She peeked through her fingers, it was impressing. She didn't know he also could fight beside being a Pokemon trainer and researcher.
The scary looking guy backed off and quickly pulled out his Pokeball.
"Staravia! Go!" The scary guy called his Pokemon.
Gary shook his head in disbelief ,"Fucker, how dare you involve innocent Pokemon in this lowly fight."
"Umbreon. Tackle Staravia once." he called forth his Umbreon. Staravia was down after one attack. The level difference was pitiful.
"Now it's time for your lesson." Gary grabbed the scary guy's collar and start punching him.
"Forgive me!"
"Gary, stop, please!" Dawn tried stopping him when she saw blood dripping from the scary man's nose. He didn't even get to call his Staravia back into his pokeball.
"Don't stop me Dawn. I need to teach him some lessons."
"No, stop, Gary!" Dawn panicked, this isn't Gary that she knew ,"Umbreon, can you do something?"
Umbreon looked at Dawn in panic. What should he do? If they both let Gary continue beating that guy, that guy might die or seriously injured. They don't want Gary to get into trouble.
Umbreon decided to tackle Gary and let him fell to the ground. Dawn quickly approached him as soon as she realized Umbreon knocked him unconscious!
"You both..." The scary guy gritted his teeth. His face is already swollen and full of blood.
"Don't even think about touching him!" Dawn cried while holding Gary in her lap while the scary guy came closer to them. But, when Umbreon jumped in front of him, he started to ran away, leaving his fainted Staravia behind.
"Your Staravia!" Dawn shouted to remind the scary guy.
"Just take him!" The scary guy skittered away, leaving Dawn, Gary, Umbreon, and his fainted Staravia behind.
Dawn tapped Gary's cheek several times but he was not reacting. Their other friends were right, this was a bad idea of fun! Then, she started crying.
"Gary.. he died protecting me." Dawn made a dramatic speculation that made Umbreon shivered in panic. Umbreon immediately checked on him just to find him clearly alive and breathing.
"Who am I going to make Pokemon poetry with? Look at that poor Staravia you saved, Gary. We could raise it like it were our own kid."
Dawn continue sobbing ,"Umbreon, if I give him a true love's kiss, do you think he will come back to life?"
Umbreon nodded. He just wanted Dawn to quickly try whatever she could to help Gary gain consciousness.
"Gary... I love you so much. Please come back to life. We could've started a family."
Just when their lips are near, Gary opened his eyes ,"...Dawn, what are you doing?" Aggresive wake-up call from his Umbreon earlier sobered him up.
"Gary? I thought you were dead." Dawn replied, her tears dropped on Gary's cheek.
He sighed and close his eyes again ,"I still am. Now, where's my kiss?"
Dawn wiped her tears and smiled as she placed her lips on his. She was glad he was alright.
