Hey, hey!

Okay, so first I want to address that this chapter is an emotional chapter. I loveeee Hinata Hyuga and her character, so please don't think I'm putting her through the ringer because I'm mean! It's just my writing style and the vision for this story.

Triggers for this chapter are: Abuse. Childhood abuse. Depression. Substance abuse. Just some heavy somber moments.

This chapter is titled, 'Enabler' because as I stated a few chapters ago. Hinata would only be telling her secret, if her enabler would tell his. So, the time has come for that. I hope you enjoy it!

'Normal talking'

'Intense talking'

'Kurama talking'

'The only person in this world that could get Hinata to tell her secret was her enabler. Neji.'

Neji smiled as he held his blonde-haired nephew. The twins were six months now. His son was nine months older than them. It was hot in the summer and the family was at the lake. Taking the twins for a swim. They loved the water just as much as Hinata.

Neji looked at Hinata and smiled. Both Hyuga's were in the water. Neji wearing swimming trunks and shirtless. His hair still trimmed down the sides and was currently pulled up in a loose high bun. Hinata with a black one-piece bathing suit and a large black beach hat to block out the sun.

Hinata was holding Taika. She giggled as Neji made a fun face at his little nephew. They were older now, so they found delight in funny faces. "Neji. The bracelets are beautiful. For babies though?"

Neji smiled as Taika fell back laughing in Hinata's arms from his face expressions. He lightly bounced Taifū in his arms so he'd get a little splash. Taifū enjoyed the water and enjoyed even more Neji's shiny gold chained necklace that hung to his upper chest. "They like jewelry. Unlike my hyper son, your children don't break the jewelry."

Again Hinata giggled at Neji's humorous complaining. "Hanabi stressed you while Tenten was pregnant. You have yourself a miniature Hanabi." Neji chuckled at the reference. The four of them enjoyed the water and the two adults entertained the babies. Neji looked at Hinata and smiled at his sister.

"As you know. We share the same therapist. It's come to my attention, while our connection has been restored and we are closer than ever. Like we should be. I never apologized to you. For what I've done in the past."

Hinata looked up at Neji and tilted her head. "There is no need brother. If we do that. Then we'd have to talk about our whole childhood." Neji looked over to the grass. Tenten was lying on a blanket on the ground basking in the sun. Naruto was playing with little Ōchō. Playfully chasing him around to burn off his energy. Sasuke sat with Itachi. Both brothers playing a game of Shōgi.

"I…haven't talked about it either. With Tenten or with you. Barely with the therapist. It's something that I just cannot cross over."

Hinata frowned a little as she listened to Neji. She was having the same problem. She tried to dive into it, but she'd just change the subject. "I have the same problems. I feel as if I'll look…pitiful if I talk about it. Yet, it is a heavy burden that sometimes pushes my sobriety progression back and puts me into a dark place."

Neji looked back over at Hinata. The two had invisible pretend barriers around them. Both apprehensive on talking about their heavy topic. "I'm sorry Hinata. About everything I've done to you. Growing up, when my father died. That wasn't your fault at all. I should not have made you blame yourself for all those years. I shouldn't have let your addiction get that bad. I should have said something. I should have protected you better. I realize…I really hurt you and I feel like scum for it."

"You shouldn't!" Hinata flinched as she caught herself. That was a slightly higher volume than she wanted. She almost woke up the twins, who fell asleep on her and Neji's chest. "I'm sorry. You s-shouldn't f-feel that way. They made you that way. T-They destroyed our family. Konoha. Our past elders and councilmen. T-They destroyed you. Turned you against me. He turned you against me."

Hinata closed her eyes and regained her composure. She took several deep breaths and when she opened her eyes she saw Neji had did the same thing. Both falling into bad spaces in their minds.

This wasn't healthy. This dependence they had for one another wasn't healthy.

"I blame the same people Hinata. Not for my behavior though. For ruining your father. Crippling him. He wasn't a bad father to you in the beginning. He really adored you and was a great family man. However, I see where we are stuck. We cannot seem to blame him. Maybe it is how he died. We were all on such good terms that when he died protecting our family, we forgot all his sins."

Neji's smile turned somber. He thought his words over before he finally admitted his thoughts. "Me and Tenten just came from vacation with Ōchō. Out the village, it's so peaceful. We want to venture out to Amegakure. Maybe…we could move there and set up a secondary clan? It'll help the family's business and I can make sure everything is growing correctly. I think about this often Hinata."

That did it.

Hinata turned from the conversation and started to walk towards the shore. Neji looked at her retreating form and knew if he tried to stop her Hinata would surely snap.

He'd find her later. Talk to her soon. Before the day was over.

Naruto immediately stopped and watched Hinata walk on the grass. She had this poker face on and Neji wasn't too far behind her. With the same facial expression. Something happened. Something triggered the two. "Hinata?"

She smiled at him. A fake smile. Telling him now wasn't the time. "Hinata."

Hinata stiffened and flinched when she heard Neji call her name. She still turned around and looked at him. "We'll be going. I'll be by your house later this evening to talk. When the twins are sleeping." Neji looked at Hinata and arched his brow. This was non-debatable. She could tell by the sound of his voice and the look on his face. He wasn't going to accept her silent temper tantrum.

"Yes. I will see you then."

With that Neji gave Taifū to Naruto, and left with his family. Itachi and Sasuke looked up at Hinata. Her jaw was squared and she watched Neji leave with fire in her eyes. She was angry that was for sure, but Neji was the more dominant of the two and Hinata doubled down. Not wanting to argue with her right hand.

"What happened?" Sasuke looked up at Hinata and saw how her eyes didn't leave Neji's trail. She still had a sleeping Taika in her arms and frowned.

Neji was going to leave her. She knew she couldn't talk him out of this decision. She was going to be alone. Running the clan alone.

Hinata sat down on the ground softly and slowly detached herself from the situation. "Neji wants to leave Konoha. With his family. To settle in Amegakure."

She didn't look at Naruto or Sasuke. She just looked down at her sleeping son. She held Taika close to her and continued to look off in thought.

Taika and Taifū wouldn't leave her. Her boys would be with her forever. How could Neji do this to her? After everything. He said he would always be by her side. "He hates Konoha. I thought I could fix it. We…haven't talked about it yet."

Naruto sat down next to Hinata. Close enough so she could lean on his shoulder if she wanted to. She didn't. She was distancing herself.

If Neji left. Surely more from her clan would want to follow. Probably feeling the same way as him. She wanted them to be comfortable. She would encourage for any of them to venture out, but not her brother.

Hinata looked to be in thought. Her elbow rested on her thigh as she sat cross leg. Her chin was in her palm as the gears were turning in her head.

Neji dealt with Hanabi. He dealt with a lot of the internal clan complaints and all the recreational, unifying things. Hinata dealt with a lot of the politics. Finances. Punishments. Things like that. Even if a few Hyuga's went with Neji. She would still have to pick up where Neji left off and deal with the newly engaged Hanabi. Which, by the way, her and Hanabi haven't smoothed out their problems.

Neji would make sure profits and their clan in Amegakure grew though. She could count on him in that department and she wouldn't have to constantly go on trips to and from Amegakure to make sure their projects were being fulfilled.

Still. Neji would be leaving her. Betraying her and living his life stress free with Tenten. He was going to tell Tenten about their past.

"The meeting for the abolishment of the caged bird seal for the Hyuga clan has been passed. This would grant Hyuga's to travel with my approval and station elsewhere." A dark tone took over Hinata. A possessive look appeared in her eyes. "I will approve everyone, but not Neji."

Naruto frowned at her. "Hey." He snapped his fingers in Hinata's face and she blinked before she looked over at him. "Stop it. Don't go down that path Hinata." Naruto let out a heavy sigh when Hinata didn't reply back. She was being stubborn and she was angry right now. Two bad combinations because it meant she wasn't going to listen.

"Come on. Let's go. It's almost time for dinner."

Sasuke watched Hinata come out the twins room. She just put them down for bed and walked out to the living room area. Hinata was now in her lounging attire. Short sleeve white shirt and tan, thin sweatpants.

She saw Naruto and Sasuke waiting for her on the couch. Looking at the clock, Hinata saw it was 7:20 in the evening. Neji would be there soon. He knew what time the boys went down for bed.

Sasuke watched as Hinata silently sat in the middle of the couch. Where they left space for her. She didn't want to make it obvious that she was mentally having a fit, but they could tell based off her energy and some of the dark veins that scattered over her skin. "Neji has been anti-Konoha for some time. You know that right Hinata? It's been obvious since you two were kidnapped."

Hinata hugged a couch pillow and looked off into the distance. "Yes. I-I know." Naruto leaned back with Hinata and rested one hand behind his head. Giving Hinata a nonchalant look. "I've been wondering. What is it exactly that you two just won't open up about? Tenten even voices that you two just clamp up and change the subject when your childhood pops up."

Hinata looked at Naruto with slight confusion. She noted that whatever move she made, Naruto sharply gazed at her. Studying her to see if she was lying. "You know everything. About me. My past. Neji, and his past. Our fathers. We've even done therapy together."

Naruto closed his eyes as he relaxed on the couch. She was lying. "Hinata. Stop it." He opened his eyes and looked at her. "Do you feel like Neji? Is that why you're so angry? He's actually taking the leap in trying to leave Konoha and you feel stuck. Fulfilling your dad's wishes by running your clan."

Hinata took several deep breaths. Leaving Konoha would be selfish on her end. Naruto's dreams were here. Sasuke's foundation and brother was here. Her own family and success was established in Konoha. She'd never leave here. She'd die here.

She was stuck.

"I asked Neji to move back when father died. He said no. Not even when Danzo was threatening us. He…didn't even want me to move back here. He was so upset that I did. He felt like I was going to get stuck. He…we. We didn't want to come back to Konoha after our kidnapping. We were just going to leave. Vanish forever, but…I couldn't leave Sasuke-kun and Naruto-kun."

She came back for them. All for them.

Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other before looking back at Hinata. Sasuke frowned because this was something he wished she just told them. "Why wouldn't you just TELL us Hinata?" She shook her head urgently. "I'm v-very happy now. I don't h-have those thoughts anymore. Konoha is my home. I have my family here. Neji just. He just cannot forget things. It bothers him."

Naruto squinted his eyes at Hinata. She was dancing around 'it'. Again. "What is 'IT' Hinata? Whatever eats at Neji. Eats at you too. You BOTH act exactly the same on the same subjects. It's not just the kidnapping. Granny diagnosed you and Neji with PTSD back then, but I have a feeling it's been there before the kidnapping. You two already were like this. So, what is it? Hinata? Look at me."

Hinata automatically looked over at Naruto. He wasn't angry, but he could sense there was just SOMETHING. "When are you going to admit, that back then they weren't training sessions?"

Her eyes widened at what Naruto said and there was a knock at the door. It was Neji.

Naruto tilted his head and gave Hinata an intense stare. "We are not done with this Hinata. We'll leave you and Neji alone, but know the secrets end tonight."

Sasuke had opened the front door and sure enough it was Neji there. He greeted Neji and left to the bedroom with Naruto. Hinata sat on the couch still hugging her pillow as she watched Neji shut the front door. "Hinata."

"Neji."

Neji could feel the coldness emitting off his little sister. "I'm sure many thoughts have run through your mind." Hinata looked at him and frowned. "I…thought about denying you. Making it hard for you to leave."

Neji smiled at her. She had so much fire now. So many wicked ways, like her father. "Aww. Unwilling to let me go." Hinata looked off to the side and hugged her pillow tighter. "I still need you nii-san. How could you d-do this to me?"

Neji sat on the couch beside her and chuckled. He looked so tired. "You have two husbands and two sons. You don't need me anymore Hinata. We're family. We will always be family."

Hinata finally looked at Neji and she just looked so hurt. "I don't understand. I did everything in my power to make you happy. Why aren't you satisfied here?" Neji leaned back on the couch. He was in lounging wear like Hinata. A tan hoodie, white shirt, tanned sweat pants with socks and sandals on. The two always thinking alike.

"Why? Hn. Are we really going to have this conversation? Where your husbands can hear." Hinata squared her jaw and looked down at the pillow. "I rather not, but…I don't think you will let me win this time."

Neji slowly nodded his head. "I'm not satisfied the same way you aren't Hinata. I…can't be in this village with this paranoia that someone is going to come for my family or me for my dōjutsu. I know and so do you. That list, those people and Danzo. There are probably more people walking around this place that thinks like that."

Hinata let out a sigh. She had the same thoughts. The same paranoid thoughts. Even if it wasn't a reality. It was something that ate at her.

"Walking in this compound. The same compound that pitted us against one another. Our first spar. How I didn't want to hit you anymore, and I was backhanded so hard that my nose bled. How grandfather kept hitting me, until I did hit you. Over and over again. You remember right?"

Hinata ran her hands through her hair and gripped the back. So they were finally going to talk about it. Immediately Hinata's skin started to pale and she became sweaty. Her black veins slowly itching across her face. "Yes. I do."

Neji's voice cracked and he was losing himself at this moment. A needed moment. "I turned into a monster and this compound reminds me of my demons every day. I don't need that energy around my family Hinata. Make no mistake. Your father was legitimately trying to train you, but your grandfather. He was beating the crap out of you Hinata. Out of both of us until he grew too old to continue. Remember when he wanted to make a 'man' out of me and broke my arm. During breakfast. Fucking BREAKFAST. Remember how your father did nothing?"

Neji took on a hysterical look on his face. His past catching up to him and bringing out the true reason why he was so cold for so long. "Broke my arm. Broke your leg. Blacked my eyes, and dislocated your jaw so many times I lost count. You mumble so BAD because of that. He called me an orphan when my father died, and kicked you out of the compound in the middle of winter until you caught pneumonia two days after your mother died. Don't act like you do not remember ANY OF THIS! Don't act like you can't stop fucking flinching every five seconds Hinata!"

Hinata stood up from the couch. In her fit she covered her ears. Looking at Neji with fear in her eyes. Why?! No one had gotten her secrets out of her. Not Naruto or Sasuke. Not her therapist. Not Kakashi. NO ONE. The one person she trusted more than life itself was telling their secrets that they packed in a box and buried. Now Naruto and Sasuke knew how messed up she really was. If Neji didn't stop they would soon think she was a freak. "That is enough. Neji…please don't do this."

Neji looked up at her. He shook his head. "You remember it all perfectly fine. Just like I do. How you would send Hanabi out with her friends or with a helper when it got too bad. We both tried very hard so she wouldn't see what was going on. Even your father would take her away so she didn't have to see the mess he created."

Hinata looked at Neji as she still had her ears covered. Clearly she could hear him. "Don't DO THAT. Do NOT talk about father like that! He was YOUR father as well. He gave you LIFE. You do not turn your back on family. REMEMBER! All these years! That's what you and father would tell me. FAMILY IS ALL WE HAVE!"

Neji stood up from the couch. Angry that Hinata would back away from him when he tried to approach her. He lunged for her face with one hand, gripped her jaw roughly and snatched her back to him. "Shut up. You COWARD! How can you walk these halls with your children? How can you BE HERE? This was our HELL. All for a dead man's wish."

Hinata pushed him and followed it up with a hard smack to his face. With all her might, encased with pure anger. Why did Neji always do this to her? Always trigger her like this.

He triggered her because he was forcing them both to face their realities.

Neji stumbled two steps back, but quickly recovered. "Tenten doesn't know any of this because I'm too mentally fucked to tell her. I'm ashamed. I know for me to be a better person for her, I have to go Hinata."

"THEN GO!" Hinata's eyes widened and tears cascaded down her face. "JUST LEAVE ME! Leave me here. I don't need you! I don't need anyone! Everyone can just leave me! No one saved me back then, no one saved me through the pain. No one stopped everything from happening. YOU! You were supposed to be my protector and you left me back then. When I needed you the most! Just like right now! I HATE YOU NEJI HYUGA! You came back to me though…you said you would be here for me, but you LIE! No one is supposed to know about our hurt Neji. It's not meant for outsiders to know."

Neji's breathing calmed as he started to get ahold of himself. She wasn't wrong. After his father died, he did abandon her. He left her side and left her to the wolves. He'll never forgive himself for that. He could see Hinata never forgot. She never forgave him. She never forgot anything that happened. She was hurting just as much as him. She was collapsing right now. Just sputtering all the angry thoughts that nestled in her head for years.

Neji shook his head. He walked up to Hinata and hugged her tightly. Even as she tried her hardest to escape his hold. She punched him. Clawed him and pushed against him so hard. He wouldn't let go though. "I'm so sorry Hinata."

Hinata was mentally losing it. She couldn't take this. This was too much. "LET ME GO! You're not supposed to tell! You're not SUPPOSED TO TELL!"

Hinata hopped in place and was having the worst fit of her life. She was terrified because Neji was saying everything they were hiding. Naruto and Sasuke didn't know it was this bad. That she was this broken. They didn't know about her grandfather…

She could feel their chakra in the bedroom escalating to pure rage.

"Not to tell. That is something our grandfather and our elders told us to do Hinata. To hide everything going on. Our hell was supposed to stay inside the compound. We aren't supposed to let outsiders know what is happening to us. Those people are gone now. We don't have to follow those rules."

Hinata let out a sob. Her hands dangling to her side and her eyes squeezed shut as Neji still hugged her. "I…can't let anyone know. It's too hard to admit. Our grandfather, he made me into a freak. A tainted freak Neji."

Neji shook his head. "I…think you did an amazing job with hiding everything from Hanabi Hinata. You did your job. As a big sister. Or…grandfather and his friend. They were very perverted old men. Adults that got their rocks off on touching children, like we were prostitutes from the red light district. We were children, and they should not have done what they did to us. Touch us that way, and I will leave it at that. We did what we could to survive and endure. Now we can live our lives the way we want to Hinata."

Hinata buried her face into Neji and let out a loud, miserable cry. She wanted to cover it, so no one would hear. "Why did this happen to us? Why can't you stay? I can't…I can't do this. I don't understand why father stopped protecting us. Why nii-san? Why? Why?"

Neji smiled as he felt Hinata finally hold him in return. "I don't know Hinata. I will never know. We have to talk about it to the people we love, and move on. Grow from it. Will you come with me to Amegakure? I don't…really want you to stay here. It makes me literally sick, at the thought of you staying here. Of me failing you again Hinata."

Neji swallowed a lump in his throat and let two single tears fall down his face. "It's not good here for you Hinata. You don't have to punish yourself anymore. You saw your mother drinking, so you did it as well. To hide the pain just like she did. Just admit it. Nothing was ever good in this family. In this compound. You made it better. We did it together."

Hinata nodded her head at this. She pulled back and looked at Neji. They both took in how disheveled they looked and laughed. Hinata straightening out Neji's shirt. "That's why I have to stay. I want this family to be great Neji. It…does hurt some days. The memories come to me very frequently, but as each day goes on. As my bond with my husbands and children grow more and more. I can find peace. I see that things are changing for the good. I am not a little girl anymore. I can defend myself."

Neji eyes widened slightly and a somber smirk covered his face. He ran his hands through his loose hair and chuckled as he backed away from Hinata. "My. Has my sister grown up. I thought I'd be able to guilt trip you to go with me. What you said sounds better though. For the clan. Not for us. What if I begged you? To please come. Please, for me."

Hinata let out a laugh mixed in with a sob. Her bottom lip quivering. "This is what leaders do. We sacrifice. I will sacrifice so you will be happy Neji. We both cannot go. One must stay, for the Hyuga's who want to stay in Konoha, and I will take that burden until the day I die. No more tears Neji. We have to endure the rest of this moment. Now…I understand we will be separated."

Neji nodded his head as well. "For the first time in your 20 years of living. Unless I change my mind."

God. He wanted to change his mind so badly, but he was just so far gone mentally that he had to leave. Tenten and his son outweighed his connection with his sister.

Hinata shook her head. "No. I understand why you want to leave Neji. I support it. It's the right choice. Best for you and it will help our clan. Whoever wants to follow you I will grant them permission to leave as well. The Hyuga clan will be successful around the world."

Neji smiled as his face turned red. He was trying not to cry. "Our children will not be close, like how we wanted. I…feel like I'm losing a part of myself. This is worse than when your father died."

Hinata's face mimicked Neji's. "Well. I believe we got over that death so fast because Hiashi was an excellent leader, but a horrible father. He ruined us and tried to make up for it with Hanabi. I understand what you are doing Neji. I will ensure we take trips to you. While the academy is out we will spend breaks with you and the clan in Amegakure. Could be for weeks, could be for months. I won't let you go that easily."

Neji smiled at this. A genuine, bright smile. He walked up to Hinata and the two leaned their foreheads together. "Thank you, Hinata. I…truly love you little sister." Neji separated from her and Hinata quickly lunged in and gave him a big hug.

This caused Neji to laugh. "My house is yours. Do with it as you wish. We will make the move within a month or so. I will keep you updated."

Hinata nodded her head and the two talked a little more before Neji deemed it too late to be out and decided to go home.

When Neji left, at first Hinata just stared at the door he left out of. Stuck frozen. Lost for a few moments before she decided to move. She made tea and coffee for her husbands. To calm her nerves, and also stall on time, because right now, her hands were shaking.

When Hinata finished she quickly went to check on the twins to make sure they were still sleeping before she went to their bedroom. Sasuke was sitting on the bed and Naruto was leaning against their dresser.

Both were already in their pajama's. Both males had on black short sleeve shirts and Naruto with black loose shorts and Sasuke with dark red pajama shorts. Naruto had his arms crossed over his chest and looked at a spot on the floor near Hinata.

"Hinata. That was a lot."

Hinata nodded her head in agreement with Naruto, and walked to Sasuke to give him his tea. He accepted, but immediately put it on the nightstand for later. She walked up to Naruto and he took the coffee off the tray Hinata had. He looked at Hinata in her eyes and his hands twitched to touch her.

Yet, he didn't. Flashbacks of their teenage years came flooding in his mind. How Hinata didn't like to be touched. How they literally had to coax her into letting them see her bare stomach. This was why. This is why she hated human touch. Human affection. Naruto didn't know if it was even okay to touch her anymore. He felt like he violated her from the very beginning.

Hinata reached over and held Naruto's hand. Letting him know nothing was his fault. "I…wish to talk to you and Sasuke-kun. Please."

Naruto nodded his head and the three sat on the bed. Hinata faced Naruto and Sasuke as both of them leaned on the head of the bed. Sasuke eyed her. She knew they heard everything.

This is what she always pushed down. What she wouldn't share in therapy. The reason Neji tripped out on the day they got married. Sasuke shook his head before he looked at the pillow Hinata was hugging. Sasuke was quiet for so long and just so emotionally drained, his voice was cracking. "We can leave with him Hinata. Naruto being Hokage and me staying in this village for my family is not as important as you. We can take everything Hyuga related and just leave."

Hinata shook her head and smiled at Sasuke. "I told you before. I want to stay. We have a good family here. Things are getting better."

Sasuke nodded his head slightly. Kind of understanding and kind of not. "I am not upset for you not telling us any of this. It was a trauma that you pushed down and tried hard to forget. In your head, for years. None of it happened."

Hinata sipped on her tea and gave a weak smile. "Yes. Suppressing it surely didn't help with my sobriety in the past. I believe I shouldn't have kept it a secret for so long. Maybe you all would have understood why I always wanted to be home for Hanabi. Why my, self-worth for myself wasn't there. Why I never wanted to be a ninja. Why I flinch so easily."

Hinata looked up and looked at Naruto and Sasuke. Her face was red now. Trying so hard to hold herself together. She took a deep breath and just let it all out. "It wasn't training. I was beat. I was belittled. Abused. My grandfather was a pervert. He touched me and Neji until I was 10. My family figured it was better for me and Neji to hate one another instead of bonding together to retaliate. My life, growing up, was utterly horrible. My life was bad before my mother died, and it only grew worse afterwards."

Hinata ran her fingers through her hair. "My mother, I loved her so MUCH. Yet, she loved drinking more. She drunk herself sick. She hated this family. She hated how she had to choose which of her children lives would suffer. She hated the monster this village made of my father. I loved her so much, but she couldn't pull through the darkness for me. She couldn't conquer her addiction for me. I…I was so scared I was going to be just like her. I was so scared I was going to let Sasuke-kun and Naruto-kun down."

Naruto looked over at Sasuke and saw how red his face had gotten as Sasuke strained not to cry. Naruto's throat felt heavy as he strained over the same thing. This is why Hinata feared to be a mother. She thought she wouldn't be able to control her addiction, or protect her children, like her mother couldn't.

Hinata let out a sob as she covered her mouth to control herself. "Naruto-kun and Sasuke-kun do not deserve my stress and burdens. I'm so very sorry."

She felt like such a disappointment to them. Like such a freak. A tainted FREAK.

People like her didn't deserve to have beautiful love like this.

Naruto's jaw squared and his chakra spiked. His tail wrapped around Hinata and hugged her tight. "It was just your grandfather that abused you? Touched you? Is there ANYONE still alive that did these things to you Hinata? Don't lie to me. What I'll do, is for your benefit Hinata."

Hinata shook her head urgently at Naruto. He would surely spill nothing but blood. Hinata knew that. "No. No one else is alive. I promise Naruto-kun. What happened, was very well kept a secret. Many of the people in my clan had no clue what was happening to me and Neji. It was…degrading. If anyone found out that my grandfather was so...sick."

Naruto kept his eyes on Hinata. His dangerous aura not wavering. "You told me, when we first got back from our training mission, that you wanted to move back to your compound. That you wanted to lead your clan. This was before your dad died. This was your passion. Now, if that day in the river never happened. I'd agree with Sasuke and I'd pack us all up and LEAVE. We'd be going with Neji because fuck this. That would have been enough for me. My final straw Hinata."

Hinata whimpered as his tail tightened on her. One tail took her tea from her and the other pulled her closer to him and Sasuke. "I'd burn this whole village down for you. You know this. I'd do anything for you. I understand why this was kept from us, but it hurts me to know you were hurting this whole time."

Naruto hugged Hinata. She immediately hugged him back. "Let's tear down the compound and rebuild it. New everything Hinata."

Sasuke watched as Hinata squeezed her eyes tight. A small sob escaping her. "The abandoned Uchiha compounds are behind your compound. A few acres. Let's tear it all down. Connect it all and rebuild. Prepare for the future."

Hinata nodded her head as she looked at Sasuke. "Okay. We can do that." Naruto leaned back and kissed Hinata's forehead. "You won't be alone Hinata. You know that." Hinata sat up and ran her hands through her hair. Her face became red again from holding back tears. Sasuke watched as tears built up in her eyes, and how her bottom lip trembled.

A lump formed in his throat and Sasuke leaned over to wipe a single tear that fell from her. Hinata looked at him and smiled. It was a sad, depressed smile. "I know I'm not alone. I just…I won't have my brother around. It feels as if I am truly losing someone in my life. I haven't felt this way since my mother died, and I picked up her habit. It-It hurts. It's painful and I cannot drink the pain away. The urges I feel, I have to ignore it. I have to ignore the cravings and for the first time in my life, I have to actually acknowledge and accept my misery."

Hinata curled into herself and whimpered until she finally just cried. "This…This is g-good misery. I-I have to e-experience this n-now. I've been a-avoiding it, because…it's, it's just so painful."

She cried and waled in sorrow until sleep consumed her. Naruto watched as Sasuke cuddled with her and how he soon fell asleep as well. Naruto crawled out of bed, stood up and went into the living room to pick up the phone and made a phone call.

"Hey. Kakashi. Do you have a moment?"

When Hinata woke up that morning she was cuddled into Sasuke's embrace. She jolted awake when she thought about the twins and what time it was. Sasuke pulled her closer to him and kissed her shoulder. "Naruto has the boys. You have milk stored in the freezer and he used it. He's making breakfast now while Kakashi plays with the boys."

Hinata relaxed a little and looked at Sasuke. She wrapped her arms around him and buried her face in his neck. "I'm sorry. About everything."

Sasuke rolled his eyes at this. "If you apologize one more time for your miserable childhood. I'm not going to hold you while you sleep anymore." This brought a smile on Hinata's face that he wanted to see. Sasuke continued to look into her beautiful eyes before he cupped her face.

"You are taking a great burden on your shoulders Hinata. I love you for it every day. You are a remarkable woman. Koibito." Hinata blushed at the compliment and bit her bottom lip. Sasuke gave her a genuine smile before getting up and going to freshen up with Hinata.

Kakashi watched as Hinata and Sasuke came out the bedroom. He was sitting on the couch, and smiled as her twins were using their 'grandpa' as a climbing post. Kakashi was dressed down to his turtle neck and had it extended to cover his face. Both his eyes were uncovered and he smiled at Hinata under his mask.

"You came to save me from the baby warriors." Hinata giggled as she walked over to retrieve her boys. She had her baby cover on so she could immediately start to feed them to loosen up her heavy breasts.

Naruto was in the kitchen cooking and peaked over to see Kakashi looking at Hinata. Sasuke had walked into the kitchen and eyed Naruto. Sensing that Naruto had orchestrated this whole thing.

Hinata shyly would look up at Kakashi as she fed the boys. He looked at her nonchalantly and grinned. "You're going to make the boys hefty. Feeding them on demand still." Hinata smiled and giggled nervously. "I swear they are just teething. I don't mind if I spoil them a little sensei."

Kakashi hummed at this. "You know I am Hokage now. So, I know Neji is requesting to transition to Amegakure with his family." Hinata hummed at this. "Yes. He has many things to work on. With our clan and with himself."

Hinata finally focused her eyes on Kakashi and saw that he was just patiently waiting for her to engage with him. "Did Naruto tell you?"

She was sure Naruto called Kakashi last night.

Kakashi shook his head. "No. All Naruto did was ask, if I wanted to come over for breakfast. Which I haven't in a while, so I agreed. Unfortunately I will get Naruto's cooking."

Hinata laughed at this before she cleared her throat. "I know I told you thank you back when I was a Chunin. For always being a father figure to me. I was very scared to tell you about me and Neji's past. I still struggle to bring it up. Me and Neji struggle to talk about how we were abused. Forced to fight one another. Neji was beat just as bad as me, and my grandfather…he disrespected me multiple times with inappropriate touches. Neji as well."

Kakashi took a deep breath and sat up from his relaxed position on the couch. Listening as Hinata continued. "I really pushed to be there for Hanabi. I didn't want her to be hurt like me and Neji were. I didn't want her to pick up a drinking habit that me and my mother shared. Neji is leaving because the paranoia of this village and the triggering memories from coming to this compound is too great for him. I understand."

Hinata bit her bottom lip and looked to the side in thought. "You. Really truly were a father to me. More than just a sensei. My father didn't protect me. He let everything that went on continue. He never investigated it because he didn't want to. You protected me. I am truly blessed to have you come into my life. I would be honored if my children could call you grandfather. If you would take them in as your own blood."

Hiashi told Hinata he loved her on his death bed. He also spent years telling Hinata she was useless. A junkie. Good for nothing and that she needed him.

Kakashi wasn't vocal of his relations with Hinata, because that wasn't his style. He was always there though. He told her she wasn't scum. She wasn't a junkie. That she was good at things and was needed by her peers. That she didn't need her family to grow, that she could do great things by herself.

Hiashi terrified Hinata. Kakashi comforted her. Hiashi hit Hinata. Kakashi never did such a thing.

Hinata used to believe Hiashi was her sole protector. She clung to the memory of her being kidnapped from Cloud village for so long. It was the only positive memory she had of her father. Even rehab from Hiashi, there was no real connection from the two. It was all business.

Kakashi protected Hinata differently. Since being introduced to team seven. Every step Hinata took, Kakashi was there. Every advancement in her career. Every happy moment in her life. Every heartache. Every relapse. Every recovery. Kakashi was always there. Silently supporting her. Silently rooting her on.

There was a difference in being terrified of disappointing your father and being heartbroken if you disappointed your father. Hinata felt heartache anytime she felt like she disappointed Kakashi. Which Kakashi would always say she never could disappoint him.

She's never heard that from Hiashi. Ever.

Hiashi was wrong. Hinata was Kakashi's daughter. Since she was 13 years old. Hiashi's biggest mistake was giving her away to Kakashi that night, because he never truly got her back.

Kakashi smiled at Hinata. He pulled his mask down and Hinata saw him give her a bright smile. His smile, was as beautiful as Hinata imagined it would be. "I would be honored, to have such a right and title, from you Hinata. It fits anyways, because I tell everyone you are my child already."

With that Kakashi pulled his mask back on and relaxed again beside Hinata. She leaned her head onto his shoulder and smiled in content.

This was a small step. Admitting what happened. There are still hard times ahead for this family.

End of chapter.

So, took some time, but Hinata's big secret is finally out. She's hurt. She's broken, and it will not all be fixed in one day. Trauma is not fixed in one day. Just like addiction isn't fixed in one day, but with a better foundation with her lovers, it will not be as painful to get over.

In this chapter I wanted to show that not only Hinata was damaged. This is a Hyuga-centric kind of story, and I wanted to show that Neji was affected as well. From the beginning of the story, I tried to show their hidden connection. Leading up to this. Now the two are separated. The first time in their life. When they are used to going through their worst moments together. So, it will be hard for both Neji and Hinata to fully heal without enabling one another.

The next few chapters (about 3) will go over just how bad Neji and Hinata enabled one another. How being separated leaves them open and vulnerable. How it terrifies them. It's never happened to them before. Of course, you will only see more of Hinata's trial than Neji's.

Also, Kakashi will be 'Dad' for my whole story. That's what I've been building him up to be in this story. It's too sweet to pass up.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. See you Saturday!
