Transformers Prime: No Autobots Are Idiots.
Chapter 2: Meet Orange Beetle.
(Transformers Prime Universe #192,394,596,203,495,867,019,183. Wednesday, April 20th, 1988, third person POV...)
Outside of the now technologically advanced Autobot Outpost Omega One base, Orange Beetle, Bluefly, Bumblebee, Rockskipper, Taildog, Stormsmasher, Blazejet, Windout, Arcdegree, and Elita One were undergoing combat training with some members of NEST from different countries across the world displaying how to use the moves of their native martial arts styles.
Arcdegree witnesses a NEST Kung-Fu master do an upward cannon kick, and she imitates the move.
The Kung-Fu master remarks in Chinese, "Chūsè de gōngzuò, húdù. /Excellent work, Arcdegree."
Arcdegree replies in Chinese, "Wǒ de mùdì shì qǔyuè. /I aim to please."
Even though the Autobots knew that the Decepticons haven't found their way to Earth yet, they also knew that it's a matter of time before their enemies do manage to get to the planet.
Rockskipper remarks as he blocks Arcdegree's triple Phalanx Kick attack, "Is that all you got, Arc?"
Arcdegree blasts Rockskipper in the chestplate, making him fall to the ground.
Arcdegree answers, "Nope. That... is all I got."
Arcdegree then helps Rockskipper up.
Elita One then says, "Excellent work, Arcdegree. But you're gonna have to produce improved strategies since Vehicon Troopers this time around are likely to be tougher."
Arcdegree replies, "True enough, Elita."
Elita One then says, "Okay, Orange, Rock, you two give each other what you got."
Orange Beetle grins at that.
Rockskipper charges towards his opponent, and he tries to uppercut Orange Beetle, but he moves out of the way and launches a flurry of eighteen jabs, crosses, and overhand punches before kicking Rockskipper in the head twice real fast.
Rockskipper then says, "You want the pronghorns? You got 'em!"
Rockskipper loads his blasters and opens fire.
However, Orange Beetle was able to evade the shots except for one.
Orange Beetle shrugs off the shot, but Rockskipper charges him, and unloads punches and kicks left and right.
After getting an uppercut, before he could even hit the ground on his back, Orange Beetle switches to his vehicle mode and rams into Rockskipper.
Orange Beetle then transforms back into robot mode and does a back-front flip kick and ground pound sitting attack on Rockskipper.
Elita One then says, "Not bad, Orange, not bad at all. How's about you and I go one on one?"
Orange Beetle then says nervously, "Um... I ain't too sure that's a good idea..."
Elita One then remarks teasingly, "Scared of losing to a girl older than you?"
Orange Beetle scowls before charging.
Elita One dodges all of Orange Beetle's attacks, but Orange Beetle unexpectedly does a double-legged nonuple 360 roundhouse cannon kick combined with the Wing Chun fist beatdown.
After the last punch, Orange Beetle does the same combo moves that the four iterations of Spider-Man from the Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions video game do in the same situation – despite the fact that the video game wasn't gonna be in existence until 2009 or 2010 – and then Orange Beetle does a double uppercut to Elita One's chinplate, sending her flying into the closest wall.
Elita One shakes herself loose from the small hole, and she remarks, "Wow, for someone like you, Orange, you sure know how to fight."
Orange Beetle nods in response.
Bumblebee buzzes, "You okay, Elita?"
Elita One answers, "Yeah, but I wasn't expecting a big combo move like that."
In the base, Ratchet finishes examining Elita One for damages and he says, "There's minor damage to your chestplate and to your back, but I'd recommend you stay in the base and not do any training for the next three days."
Elita One replies, "Understood."
Optimus Prime then comes up and says, "I did not expect that you would actually lose a sparring match, Elita. What happened?"
Elita One answers, "I was caught off guard by Orange Beetle's tenacity and proficiency in servo to servo combat."
In the time it takes to tell, Elita One was taken to her quarters to rest and recuperate further.
Smokeedge was spending his days on the monitors or on patrol, or even exercising. He knew those things were mundane, but he didn't know how else to pass the time besides training, even though he's known to not be lazy.
Smokeedge then looks in the Covenant of Primus, and he sees a datatrax where the Nightowl Trines will arrive on Earth in this universe.
Smokeedge then says, "Let them come. We could always use a lot more air support."
The End.
(Author's notes: See you all in chapter 3: Meet the 12 Trines.)
