It was a month before start of the Kanto league and it had been four months since the New Island incident where Ash caught all of the clones as well as Mew and Mewtwo after which he went to get Primape, Haunter Sabrina's Father also gave him a Kadabra as a thanks and even Butterfree who rejoined him along with his mate while he was on the hill where he released him and now the family was living at the ranch, Ash also went to the safari zone and caught himself a Syther, a Ryhorn, a Kangaskan, a Nidorino and surprisingly a shiny Dratini which shocked Kaizer as it turned out to be an offspring of his Dragonair and told Ash he should take care of it and after that Ash left and went towards Grandpa Canyon where he not only caught the Aerodactyl but also found 3 fossils which Pr. Oak was all too happy to revive out of them came a Archen, a Tyrunt and a Kabuto.
After that his Rainbow feather started to shine which lead him a him a way which lead him towards mount Tensei where on the way he saw Entei, Raikou and Suicune which let him believe that he came closer to Ho-oh since they were his underlings and also on the way he met a boy whose name was Cross who had abandoned his Delta Charmander just like Damien before and Ash took him in and further on the way they met Cross again where Charmander evolved and in contrary to his other one this one listened to him, and when he arrived at mount Tensei he was attacked by Cross who stole the Rainbow feather after his Incineroar lost to the newly evolved Charizard and placed it on the rock where it then was engulfed in darkness and not only summoned Marshadow but also a Shadow Ho-oh but since Ash didn't have Mew or Mewtwo with him they didn't stand a chance end Ash was killed while protecting Pikachu who then unleashed a massive Discharge which got the attacking Pokémon out of the control of both Shadow Ho-oh and Marshadow after which when Ash when Ash awoke he found himself in Limbo and with the help of Pikachu he got out of it and when he woke up he found a new Rainbow feather next to him and surprisingly both Marshadow and the Shadow Ho-oh had stopped attacking which later turned out was because they were angry that a human without a pure heart had placed the Rainbow feather on its designated place and Ash did just that a few minutes later and placed the new Rainbow feather on the rock and from it appeared a beautiful Rainbow and on the end of the rainbow you could see a Shiny Ho-oh flying towards them.
When she arrived first, she healed all of the pokemon and then challenged Ash to a battle and although he lost the battle, he had still impressed the six so much that they joined him at the end and after saying goodbye to Cross who had learned his lesson, he went on his way home.
Later that week he heard a battle going on and when he arrived at the clearing he saw a Shiny Salamence being bullied by a Shiny Flygon, a Dragapult and a Hydreigon, when they left he asked the Wild Salamence and asked him what was going on and with the help of Mew Telepathy Ash found out that it was actually the child of two Salamences he found six years ago injured in the forest behind his home who told him that they were separated from their son when they were attacked by pokemon hunters because of their rarity and hoped that Ash would find their Child in his journey and bring her back to them.
Before he could tell her that the bullies came back and told Ash again with the help of Mewtwo that they would give Ash a week to train that weakling and if she were then able to beat them, they would then join him.
Over the week his Delta Charizard, Clone Charizard, Ho-oh and Pidgeot trained him and with the help of the Key Stone that her Father had given her for her fifth birthday, Salamence was able to mega evolve and was after a week able to beat the three bullies and they kept their word and joined Ash and Saphira (the name of the Salamence) also joined him as he continued his way back to Pallet town.
The next thing that happened was only a week later where he came across a poacher who had a lot of pokemon trapped in five Cages as well as four Eggs in a bag after defeating the poacher and calling Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny from Veridian City he looked at in the cages and what he saw in one of them nearly broke his heart in it were a Baby Latias, Latios, Articuno and Shiny Rayquaza who looked like they couldn't have been older than a year old from their size.
In the other cages he saw one which was filled with water where in were a Lapras, Horsea, Spheal, shiny feebas, shiny Magicarp and three two Delta pokemon a Snivy and a Dratini.
In the second one were 10 eeveelutions two of which he had read were extremely rare in Nucleon and Shadeon.
Lastly was a cage that contained a Water Type Charmander (the Charizard forms is from PokeBen10 on DeviantArt), an Ice type Charmander (the Charizard form is from BlueBlaze1994 also on DeviantArt), an Alolan Vulpix, a Shadow type Charmander (Charizard form by Karrthus on Furaffinity) and a Shadow type Trapinch (Flygon form by Charu on Furaffinity).
Thankfully none of them apart of the four baby legendaries were hurt and they were thankful for him saving them as they joined him already before Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny arrived at the scene where they put the four in the back of the truck with Ash to keep them calm which he did and the four started to trust him even though they were hurt by a human they knew he cared for them as he save them from the person that hurt them as they drove towards the Pokémon center and when they arrived they put the 4 in the emergency Room to keep them from getting seen as Ash stayed by their side while they healed from their injuries it took nearly three day for them to recover from their injuries and Ash wanted to release them they also decided to join him.
After that Ash went back to pallet town to train for another 2 months before the Indigo league.
When he arrived at the ranch, he reunited Saphire with her parents who were grateful for it and as a thanks they gave him the ability to turn into a Salamence with pitch black scales, Golden wings and a blue underbelly.
Also, over the time Ash had found out that he had Psychic powers which he was learned how to use thanks to Mew and Mewtwo as well as how to use his Salamence body.
Anyway, Ash was at the ranch after giving his Pokémon their training regiment for today and looking after the newly hatched Togepi, Beldum, Elekid and Magby that hatched from the four Eggs in the cages which Ash found kind of ironic with the Egg from Grandpa canyon was also a Togepi and he slowly began to train the four of them.
Ash's Mew had told him she could feel a big amount of power nearby which turned out to be a Lucario with Golden fur instead of blue and white fur instead of beige, Ash caught him after defeating him with his now Annihilape after which Ash also found out thanks to Lucario that he had Aura powers and he was now trained in that as well.
Ash also decided to take care of his Charizard's obedience which was cleaned thanks too it losing to his four other Charizard as he saw that if he would listen to Ash, he would be stronger.
Over the rest of the time Ashs Pokémon evolved into their final forms apart from those where he already had their final forms like Venusaur, Blastoise or Vulpix, what was a surprise that also the four new Pokémon had already evolved in their middle stage.
Another thing was that Ashs Pikachu, and the clone Pikachu somehow evolved into two different Raichu with Ashs evolving into an Alolan Raichu.
Also, the four baby legendaries and Lapras saw him as their older brother.
A few days before the beginning of the league Ash went with his Kantonian Ninetales, Rapidash, Charizard, Lucario, Nucleon and Shadeon on his way towards the Indigo Plateau.
When he was close to the pokemon center he saw a limousine and an injured runner in front of it when he looked up, he saw that Team Rocket ballon where they held a torch that he knew was the flame of Moltres which was help as the held as the symbol of League and he knew that because of him being the son of the Kanto champion Red and had already been to the Indigo league 2 years ago there also was an ambulance that took care of the injured runner.
"Haha, we have stolen the torch for our boss" the three said while flying away.
"No, they are getting away with the Torch" Mr. Goodshow said.
"Charizard Flamethrower, Lucario Aura Sphere, Nucleon Hyper beam, Shadeon hyper beam as well" Ash said as he summoned the four pokemon with Nucleon Shadeon and Lucario riding on Charizard's back and they send team rocket flying with said attacks and Lucario caught the torch with his Psychic powers.
When Ash arrived at the place Mr. Goodshow asked him" Hey Ash it is good to see are these your Pokémon" in the meantime Charizard Landed next to Ash and Nucleon and Shadeon jumped from him and onto Ash's shoulders while Lucario stood next to him as Ash took the Torch.
"Yeah, they are I saw what happened here and decided to help out" Ash said as he petted Charizard's snout with his free hand as the dragon was purring at the touch having changed back to his old self after his beating.
Mr. Goodshow then told him that they had a problem Since the Limousine had crashed and wasn't able to drive + the torch runner was injured, and the officer Jenny had to secure the pothole, but he had to get to the pokemon center before the torch runner.
"I could take the job as a Torch runner and for the other thing you could use this" Ash said as he took out another Pokéball" Rapidash go" as the Fire horse appeared on the field" would you take Mr. Goodshow to the Pokémon center" Rapidash nodded before Mr. Goodshow jumped onto her back and they headed towards the Pokémon center.
Ash returned his Pokémon apart from Lucario and then started to jog towards the Pokémon center with Lucario next to him.
(Meanwhile at the Pokémon center)
Misty and Brock were waiting for Ash to arrive when they saw what they thought was Ashs Rapidash with Mr. Goodshow on its back.
When he arrived a news reporter asked" Mr. Goodshow what happened we heard an explosion and then we saw an air balloon being hit by for attacks and who's Rapidash is that."
When Mr. Goodshow climbed of Rapidash who went over to Brock and Misty which answered their question as Mr. Goodshow said" on our way here we were attacked by a group called team Rocket which injured the runner and our Limousine but thankfully we were saved by a trainer that participates in the tournament who also is the trainer of the Rapidash and he is on the way with the torch".
This shocked everyone about the fact that a group of thieves would try to steal the symbol of the league.
Meanwhile with Brock and Misty" I guess that is where he is" Misty said as she was astounded how beautiful Rapidashs fur was shining.
There was some time before Ash came around the corner" and there is the Torch runner and what is that Pokémon next to him" the Reporter said as Mr. Goodshow answered" Well it is a Lucario a Pokémon native to the Sinnoh Region but normally it has Blue fur instead of Golden and beige fur instead of White" everyone is astounded at this fact.
When Ash arrived at the Pokémon center, he gave the Torch to Mr. Goodshow before going over to Misty and Brock leaning against Rapidash after being exhausted from running.
"Man, that was exhausting but at least it was for a good thing" Ash said as he tried to get back to normal.
"True but what pokemon is that and how did you get it" Misty said as the two asked themselves that question.
"Well two months ago 'She' suddenly found an extreme high power and at first thought it was a legendary but it turned out to be this Lucario"Ash said as he petted Lucario's head.
At first both were confused who she was but then remembered about Mew being female and guessed that he wanted to keep it a sacred.
After getting his breath back Ash returned Rapidash and Lucario Misty asked where Pikachu was, and Ash told them that he is at the ranch along with the other Pokémon.
"Although I still have to register myself for the League and the deadline is in half an hour" Ash said as the three walked into the Pokémon center when he entered, he saw someone he recognized from the last two years watching the League from the VIP box as well as meeting him after last year's final" Adam" Ash called out as said person turned around.
"Ash it is good to see you" Adam said as he walked over to the three" I am guessing you are entering your first tournament this year" he said as they shook hands.
Ash nodded" yeah, I am ready for the tournament and would like to face you in it."
"Would hope so as well but who knows anyway see you later" Adam said and with that he left the Pokémon center.
"Who was that and how do you know him" Misty asked confused.
Ash told them how he was the son of Red and because of that he could watch the Indigo league for free and that Adam was a two-time league winner and that he had met him personally after he won last year's league.
Misty and Brock were astonished by the fact that Ash was the son of the Kanto League champion.
Ash then went up to the counter and asked the Madame at it" I am here to register myself for the Indigo league."
"Very well I need your Pokedex and your badges" she said as Ash gave her the Pokedex and the badge case that Pr. Oak gave him after scanning the badges and putting the Pokedex in the computer she got his information" with this you are registered, this year's format has changed first there is a group face where you are put in a group with 3 other trainers where you battle everyone once and the one with the most points will move onto the mane tournament where all battles will be 6vs6 battles. The groups will be posted tomorrow, and the KO face will be posted when the group face is over. The Opening ceremony will be held today at 8 pm. Lastly these" taking out two Badges" have been registered to you by your father one is for the VIP box and the other is for the VIP Hotel it also allows your friends to enter" she said before handing both badges, his Pokedex and the badge case back to Ash" In your hotel room will also be badges for your friends and a Computer to look up your opponents and to register your team."
"Thanks" Ash said as he put back the Badge case and Pokedex in his pocket and put the badges around his neck" have a nice day."
"Thank you and good luck in the tournament" the Madame said.
Ash was about to leave when Gary (like in most of my stories Ash and Gary have a friendly rivalry) and Cross walked in Ash was surprised to see Cross here since he didn't think he would travel around the region after greeting them Ash, Misty and Brock went towards the VIP hotel as they entered, they were greeted by the receptionist as she told Ash where his room was and he thanked her and they went into the elevator and drove up to the Ashs room and when they entered Misty was shocked how Luxurious it was, it had a King sized bed, a television, a pc, a toilet and a shower.
On a Table there were around 10 badges of both VIP Boxes ones and VIP Hotel ones After giving both Brock and Misty two each Ash said" You should probably get to your room if you want to ask me something I will be here" both nodded as they left the room and Ash put his clothes in the cupboard and then went to the PC and phoned Pr. Oak.
He asked Pr. Oak if he could send him Togetic, Articuno, Latios, Latias and Rayquaza after greeting him and telling him that he had already arrived and that his father had bought them rooms. After Pr. Oak had send him the Pokémon, he wanted he ended the call.
After playing a bit with the 5 Ash decided to visit Misty to let Togetic play with her Pre evolved form.
When Ash had sent out Togetic and explained what Pokémon it was Misty asked" how did you get her."
"Well in the 5 months between when we separated and now I one day found a poacher that had four cages with Pokémon in it and a bag that had four eggs in it after arresting the poacher the pokemon joined me and she hatched from one of the Eggs" Ash said as Misty was shocked about what happened along with Brock who just had entered the room.
"But what were the other Pokémon in the cages" Misty asked.
"You will see in the tournament, but we will have to go the opening ceremony will happen in only 15 minutes" Ash said as the two nodded before turning to the two young pokemon playing with each other" don't let it get out of hand you two while we are away" Ash said as the two nodded.

While the Ceremony went on Team rocket tried to steal the flame again and when Ash tried to stop them, they send the fire towards him instead of hitting Ash it turned into the avatar of a Moltres and Ash heard a voice in his head which he guessed was the one from the moltres' Chosen one we are happy about how much you take care about our brothers and sisters as well as about the little once and as a thanks we have left something in your room for you continue as you are' with that the voice went silent again as the fire bird crashed into the machine and sending team rocket flying and miraculously the bowl landed back at its designated place before moltres avatar went back into the bowl.
After that the opening ceremony continued and Ash saw Adam, Gary, AJ, Damien, Cross, Joe and Giselle in the crowd of 2048 trainers.
After the end of Mr. Goodshow's speech Ash, Misty and Brock went back to the VIP hotel and wished each other a good night, Ash also left Togetic in Misty's room and when Ash entered his room, he was surprised to see a baby Lugia, Zapdos, Moltres, Groudon and Kyogre sitting on his bed.
After playing with them and the four other baby Legendaries he had Ash went to sleep with the baby legendaries laying around him.
As he fell asleep, he woke up and found himself in his mindscape next to his Salamence form and when he stood up, he asked" did you call me here" the Salamence shook his head and pointed one of its paws behind Ash and when Ash turned around he was shocked to see a fully grown version of each baby legendaries he had apart from Latias and Lugia" how did you get inside me".
They then explained that Arceus had seen how Ash was in a sibling relationship with the baby legendaries and gave him the ability to turn into their fully grown version.
"Ok but where is the Lugia form" Ash said as he felt a sudden shiver run down his spine.
"I am right behind you" Ash heard a menacing voice from behind him and when he turned around, he saw a Pitch black Lugia with crimson red underbelly, masks, back spikes, and tail spiked and all of it was dangerously Sharp.
"H-h-h-hemos h-h-how a-a-are you inside my body" Ash said shocked to see the leader of all shadow Pokémon in his mindscape since he saw how he died in a vacation his family did years ago protecting Ash from a blast by an out-of-control Uyrane where he told him that he did it because Ash was the first one to see him as more than just a monster Ash run over to hug the gigantic Lugia.
"Well back when I died my soul entered your body but was in a statis like state till Arceus came here to leave the bodies to enable you to turn into the legendaries and when he saw me, he gave me this body" Hemos said as he hugged Ash back.
Ash asked Hemos if there was a possibility to bring him back to the real world to which Hemos answered that it was possible, but they would need his brother or his brother's mate.
Ash then told him one day they would meet them one day and then Ash and one of the two would revive him which made him smile as Ash went back to sleep and Hemos asked the other ones" He is really someone who can even move the darkest heart" as the others nodded at this.

After catching the new legendaries and sending them to Pr. Oak he looked up his group and saw he was in a group with two boys called Mandy the astounding and Pete Pebbleman as well as a girl called Jeanette Fisher whereas he has to face Mandy first in a week of time on the water field.
Ash, Misty and Brock decided to watch the matches from the main stadiums VIP box since it had four full HD Televisions one for each Stadium.
When they arrived, they saw that surprisingly all gym leader apart from Erika were there and like always it was because she was more interested in her perfume then the most important tournament in the season.
"Giovanni, I feel sorry for you that Madame Boss brings your reputation to the ground so that you nearly weren't excepted as Agatha successor since she wants to step back and become the new 8th gym leader" Ash said as Giovanni nodded.
"Yeah, but I can't do anything against it since she uses Ariel and Silver to pressure me into doing what she wants" Giovanni said in a sad tone" at least Mewtwo got free and didn't become a weapon for her."
"Well, you are kind of right" Ash said as this comment confused the others as Ash then told them what had happened at New Island.
"At least he has found a friend, kind of reminds me of Hemos when we were at the vacation" Giovanni said remembering how Hemos sacrificed himself to save Ash.
"True" Ash said as he inwardly smirked and heard Hemos voice inside his head 'if only he knew' Ash nodded in his head to that comment as just then the first matches began over time Gary and Cross also joined them in the VIP box.
Over the week Ash saw all of his rivals win their first match as well as a trainer who had only used a Darkrai, 2 brothers from Sinnoh and a guy who until now had only used Eeveelutions.(it is probably easy to guess who they are)
Then a day before his match against Mandy and chose his normal Kingdra, Electrebuzz and Magmar against what he thought would be a Seedra, Exeggutor and Golbat.
And now it was time for Ashs first ever tournament battle.
