Hello, please be warned this is the first time I have ever wrote a fanfic so this will be a horrendous experience for you. Read with Caution!
If you decide to read the trash I put out then please leave some constructive criticism so I can make this fic better
Ok, I did not expect anyone to actually read this and favorite/follow fic so thank you. I am especially surprised by Zap C. Cannon since I do read his Yugioh Gx fic (Go check it out) and have been for awhile, love it
"Now, to explain things in brief you are a digidestined summoned to our world, the digital world, with a purpose. As the digidestined of darkness your purpose is to help me with my goal of reigning over the digital world." Myotismon says while getting comfortable on a plush couch.
Yami and Hackmon do the same on the couch opposite of him, "Is that so? Well then I won't be of any use to you without knowing anything about this world and about digimon in general." Yami says as he looks at Myotismon trying to glean more information out of him.
Myotismon grins at this response to his glib explanation, "Of course, this world is the digital world where us digimon, digital monsters, live and survive. There are multiple levels to a digimon that can be accessed by digivolution." He explains "For more information I would ask for you to be patient and ask me tomorrow as I have things I need to do, in the meantime I would suggest you get some sleep and take tomorrow to acclimate to your new setting."
Yami narrows his eyes in suspicion as he can tell Myotismon isn't being entirely truthful, though after a few moments he stops as he can't bring himself to care. "Alright, so where do I sleep?" Yami says while yawning
"This Bakemon will show you to your room, he will also be your guide to the castle while I am busy." Myotismon says as he stands up to leave. "Now I bid you adieu.". Out of nowhere a horde of bats fly by and wrap around Myotismon, by the time they disperse Myotismon had disappeared.
"Alright come along human, lord Myotismon has ordered me to bring you to your bed chambers." the Bakemon said while floating away
As Yami and Hackmon go to follow, they stay a few feet away so they can talk without being heard. "You know we can't trust him right?" Hackmon whispers towards Yami. "We are pawns to him, pieces he will use and discard at a moment's notice."
"I know, but pawns that reach the other side of the board can be promoted." Yami whispers back, "And the only way for that to happen is for you to get stronger."
As he says this Hackmons eyes gleam with a manic light as he begins to smile, "Well then, let's win this little game we have gotten ourselves into partner." he whispers back
"Yeah" Yami says with a small grin, his eyes containing a tinge of warmth for the new companion he has obtained.
After a few more minutes of walking they eventually stop as Bakemon announces that they have arrived at their destination, as this happens Yami's face reverts back to its apathetic state as his eyes become lifeless once again.
"Alright we have arrived at your bedchambers, Lord Myotismon has decreed that the both of you have tomorrow to let the human acclimate to their new home. A map will be delivered to you in the morning and you are free to do anything you want within reason." the bakemon says before floating off who knows where
Hackmon is the first to enter the room and have a look at what it is like, Yami follows a beat later while closing the door to their room. Hackmon is excited by the room as it is comfortable and fancy. "Wow, this room is so much better than the cellar!" Hackmon exclaimed excitedly, "A proper fluffy bed that I can bounce on, this is the best!"
"Why were you in that cellar anyway?" Yami asks as he falls down on the bed and lays there listlessly.
"I was waiting for you, though it did feel strangely comfortable down there." Hackmon says a little confused about why it felt comfortable to sleep down in the cellar
"No matter, I think it's time we went to sleep anyway." Yami tiredly says as he starts to close his eyes. "Good night Hackmon."
"Good night partner." Hackmon says as he settles down for the evening as well.
(Time Skip to Morning)
Yami awoke with a start as a loud voice rang in his ear and a heavy weight pounced on his stomach.
"Hey, come on, wake up! It's morning, let's train!" Hackmon shouted first thing in the morning, "Early Hawkmon gets the Wormmon, come on!"
"Ugh, what time is it? And can you please stop shouting, i'm right here" Yami says a bit miffed as he starts to get up.
"Sorry not sorry, the Bakemon already delivered the map so get up" Hackmon says as he paces around the room.
"Alright alright, lets at least eat and get more information before we train ok?" Yami says in a bland tone as he runs a hand down his face. He then proceeds to look at the map that was delivered to them by a Bakemon, "The training grounds and the cafeteria are close to each other so stop being so impatient."
Hackmon just rolls his eyes and then proceeds to open the door and walk out, Yami follows and manages to catch up to him before he could get too far. After a few minutes of walking they arrive at the cafeteria where upon entering the once noisy room falls silent as all the other digimon there didn't know a human had joined their ranks.
While all the digimon were left surprised and gaping, Hackmon and Yami simply go about gathering the different food options that were available and once finding an empty table set to eat what they had got. A few moments pass before an uproar occurs, the digimon are flabbergasted by this new human arrival and start to talk loudly and start being rambunctious about the new arrival before Myotismon appears in a flurry of bats.
"Settle down now." Myotismon says as he appears from the flurry of bats, as he says that the whole room drops dead silent again with the exception of Yami and Hackmon continuing to eat their meals without a care in the world. "Now that I have your attention I shall introduce Yami-boy to you all, he is the digidestined of darkness and as such he will be joining our cause to reign over the digital world."
Yami, while not interested in what is happening around him, gives a token wave and just says hey before returning his attention to the food in front of him.
"Now that that's settled I shall be taking my leave now." Myotismon says with a flourish of his cape before walking out the door, fodder digimon clearing a path for him as he walks by.
As he leaves the cafeteria chatter begins to resurface, though there are now whisperings about the new addition and furtive glances towards Yami. Some minutes of this pass by before a white feline approaches the table where Yami and Hackmon are sitting.
"So this is the digidestined of darkness, I expected someone more like Myotismon." the white feline says before jumping onto the bench next to Hackmon. At this Yami turns his dull gaze from the food on his plate to the white feline that just jumped next to Hackmon.
"Ah, hey Gatomon. How are you?" Hackmon questions as he continues to eat the food that is piled high on his plate. "Also I find it a good thing that my partner isn't like Myotismon."
"I'm doing alright, and I didn't say it was a bad thing that he isn't like Myotismon. I just said I expected him to be, I mean with a title like that any digimon would." Gatomon answered while stealing a bit of Hackmons food.
"So who is this, Hackmon?" Yami questioned as his apathetic gaze tried to pierce through Gatomon. Gatomon shivered and felt uncomfortable as she knew such an expression shouldn't be on a child so young.
"Yami, this is Gatomon, my one and only friend before you came along. Gatomon, this is Yami, my new friend and partner." Hackmon exclaims while trying to stop Gatomon from stealing more of his food.
"Hmmm." is all Yami says as he turns his attention back towards his food, seemingly not too interested by Gatomon.
"Is everything all right with your partner? He seems so distant and dull." Gatomon whispers to Hackmon, a little worried for her friend
"He's fine, anyway let's go train now Yami." Hackmon says in response to Gatomon before shouting to Yami.
"Ok ok, I finished my food anyway. Let's go." Yami says in exasperation, getting up to put away his plate and walk towards the exit of the cafeteria.
"Alright! See you later Gatomon, I'm going to go and get stronger now!" Hackmon exclaims excitedly, also getting up and bolting towards the exit of the cafeteria to catch up with Yami.
A few minutes of walking pass and the two partners arrive at the training grounds, as they go into said training ground a voice stops them in their tracks.
"Hey! You there! Get over here!" the voice thundered as it tried to command the newly arriving Yami and Hackmon.
Yami, in response to the thundering voice, turned his listless gaze towards it. Hackmon on the other hand didn't give it any thought.
"Just ignore Nanimon, the one we want to train with is Wizardmon." Hackmon says as he continues to walk like he didn't hear anything.
"Hey I heard that! Anyway Wizardmon isn't here right now, so if you want to train it will have to be with me! And because of that comment I'm going to double it!" the newly named Nanimon yelled over to Hackmon.
"Awww what, ugh fine." Hackmon says in complaint and trudges over to Nanimon disgruntled.
"Don't get all whiny with me maggot! Lord Myotismon himself tasked me with training the two of you!" Nanimon shouted with an authority that Yami and Hackmon ignored completely.
"Why do I have to train as well?" Yami questioned blandly while stretching out
"Because I said so! Now run maggots!" shouted Nanimon as he scowled at Yami and Hackmon.
"No, I'm good," Yami said in response before going to sit down and put his back to a gnarled tree. "You can train if you want Hackmon, i'll be over here"
As Yami closed his eyes he could hear Nanimon raging, he didn't really care though and just ignored him. Hackmon on the other hand laughed at what Yami was doing before getting on with training.
