My Pov

MYAAAAAH!

A large blue fireball suddenly shot past me and nearly hit the boys.

"Whoa!" I heard all three yell. I looked and saw Grim. Oh no.

"Grim, calm down!" I yelled.

"Myuh-uh! He ain't walking away after insulting me like that!" Grim exclaimed.

"Watch where you're aiming, raccoon!" Ace snapped.

"No one makes fun of Grim, Master of Fire! I'm gonna burn that fiery mop head of yours!" Grim said. Ace seemed to get ticked about the comment about his hair.

"Mop head?!" Ace asked, anger evident in his voice. He then drew a pen from the breast pocket of his blazer. "You've got some guts tryin' to fight me! I'm gonna turn you into a frizzy toy poodle!" Grim shot another large fireball at Ace, but a huge gale of wind appeared from nowhere and evaporated the flame.

"Is... is Ace doing that? "Ran asked, shielding her face his her arms. Must be. Ace and Grim began to go back and forth. A small crowd began to gather to watch the fight. What is it with men and fighting?

"We've got to stop them somehow!" Arley said. He turned to Deuce. "Deuce, are you good with conjuration?"

"What should I do? Ice magic? Or maybe ropes?" Deuce asked.

"Anything would help at this point!" I said. Deuce seemed to get an idea. He took out the pen in his pocket and held it up.

"Come out, literally, anything! Something heavy!" Deuce yelled. Deuce's pen glowed from a brief second, and I here a whistling sound coming from above. I looked up just in time to see something black land on Ace. It was a cauldron.

"The hell?! A pot?!" Ace exclaimed.

"A cauldron of all things... did I go too far?" Deuce asked.

"At least it landed on one of them." Arley said. Grim was simply laughing, calling either Ace lame or Deuce's attempt at conjuration lame. Ace and Deuce started having a back and forth between each other, with Deuce trying to get Ace to stop and Ace telling him to butt out. That's when Grim took the chance to attack.

"Your wide open!" Grim yelled, shooting fireballs at Ace. Ace managed to push the cauldron off of him, grab his pen and use wind magic to deflect the fireballs. However, one of them ended up hitting the Queen of Hearts statue!

"The statue!" me and Ran cried. Ran had her hands over her mouth and I just stood there in shock.

"Holy friggin' crap! The Queen of Hearts statue is completely toast!" Ace yelled. He looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

"The statue of the Queen of Hearts..." Arley mumbled. He was in shock too. He was even shaking a little.

"He.. he didn't just-!" Deuce stammered. He couldn't even talk.

"It's your fault! You shoulda just let me roast ya!" Grim said. What?

"Who in their right mind would?!" Ace asked, clearly annoyed.

"ENOUGH! What is going on here?!" All of us froze as the headmaster appeared.

"Not the whip of love! We gotta get outta here!" Grim yelled. However, both Ace, Grim and Deuce were all hit with the whip.

"As if the likes of you can flee from me!" Crowley scoffed. He let out a sigh before turning toward me and Ran. "Did I not just warn you all, 'no more incidents'? Then you go and BURN one of the Great Seven's Statues?" Ran and I both bowed our heads.

"We're so sorry, sir!" Ran exclaimed.

"We are truly sorry!" I said. However, I could see the fury in his eyes. We are in deep trouble.

"This is blasphemy against a renowned figure! There is no possible way I can turn a blind eye to this!" Crowley yelled, slamming the bottom of his cane onto the ground with such force. "ALL OF YOU ARE EXPELLED, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!" All of us look at him in shock.

"No..." Ran whimpered.

"I'm... expelled...?" Arley whispered.

"Sir, please! There was be something I can do to avoid expulsion!" Deuce pleaded.

"You only have yourselves to blame." Crowley said, as he turned to walk back to the school.

"Sir! We'll do anything!" I cried. That's when he stopped. He looked back at us.

"Anything?" he asked. All of us nodded. He seemed to think for a moment before telling us this; there was a chandelier in the cafeteria that had magical candles that never went out. This was due to magical stones and one of them was losing power. If we could retrieve a stone from the abandoned mine that was located at the foot of Mt. Dwarf by morning, we wouldn't be expelled. With that, we all headed to Mt. Dwarf. Ace and Deuce were ahead of us and Arley was behind us. I was carrying Grim.

"Arley, I'm sorry. Because we couldn't reeled Grim in, you got caught in the crossfire." Ran said.

"Hey! That mop head started it!" Grim objected.

"You need to know when to walk away from things like that, Grim. Take it from people that know." I said. I heard Grim grumbled under his breath.

"It's okay, Ran-san. I don't blame you or Kokomi-san." Arley assured. We then came across a small cottage. We investigated and saw that seven small people possibly lived there at one point. We then left the cottage and found the entrance to the mine. Grim shivered a little.

"You wanna go inside THERE? It's pitch black!" Grim exclaimed. Ace snickered.

"What, are you scared of the dark? Pathetic." Ace said.

"Myah?! I'm not scared of anything! I'm taking the lead! You all follow me!" Grim exclaimed. He jumped out of my arms and flew into the cave. We all quickly followed him. It was dark in here.

"Ran, hold my hand okay?" I said, reaching back. Ran grabbed my and tightened her grip. We made our way into the mine, trying to find a magestone. That's when ghosts popped out of nowhere.

"Visitors! For the first time in ten years!" the taller ghost said.

"Do make yourselves at home... You can stay forever!" the shorter ghost said.

"We gotta get out of here!" Ran cried. We all turned tail and ran, but the ghost came after us. Like at Ramshackle Dorm, we told Grim and the boys where the ghost would appear and then they attack them with magic. We finally managed to shake them off. We stopped for a moment to take a breather.

"How many ghosts are in here?" Ace asked.

"If we stop here, we'll never get anywhere. Let's keep moving." Deuce said.

"Sure, but don't act like we voted you team leader." Ace scoffed. Oh geez. "The only reason we're here in the first place is because of that stupid stunt you pulled."

"Oh? I'm pretty sure this all started because you were mocking Grim and the girls." Deuce said.

"So we're bringing up ancient history now? Then if you want the facts straights, this all started when furball torched the statue!" Ace said.

"Myah?! Maybe you shouldn'ta made fun of me, then!" Grim exclaimed.

"Will all of you... KNOCK IT OFF!" Arley shouted. His voice echoing off the walls of the cave. All of us looked at him with surprise. "You three all played a part in that fight and the three of us got dragged into it. Not stop with the bickering and let's find the magestone."

...iiivvv... ...ooouuu...

"What was that?" I asked.

...neeevvvaaa... ...iiivvv... ...ooouuu...

"Whatever it is... it's getting closer..." Deuce said. That's when a dark shadow appeared. It then materialized into a terrifying monster!

Stooonesss... Stooonesss aaare miiiiine!

We all screamed in terror as the creature charged toward us.
