I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own.
"The search continues tonight for International Fugitive Eric Petrelli. Who after leaving a slew of bodies in his wake, has seemingly disappeared. This station would like to remind it's viewers that Eric Petrelli is to be considered extremely dangerous. If you spot him do not approach him, instead you are to immediately call your local law enforcement and let them deal with it. Again do attempt to deal with him on your own. Now for something a little more upbeat, In Local News, The Third Annual Chili Cook-o-" Turning off the News once they started talking about a chili cook-off. Eric Petrelli continued to store the needed things for his his trip.
Let them waste even more time and resources in trying to find him. After tonight it won't matter. For soon he'd be beyond anyone's reach. For you see six months ago Eric had raided a Evo Detention center, and it just so happened the two of the prisoners he freed was were very Special indeed. A young girl and her mom. The Girl had the power of Fiction Travel. Which if Eric were being honest with himself the inner-nerd in him thought was awesome. But the one that really peaked his interest was the mom.
Poor lady didn't even realize the type of power she truly welded. Otherwise she and her daughter would have never been captured. Entertainment Materialization allowed a person to pull things from various forms of Entertainment, Books, Movies, Video Games, Comic Books, you name it. The best Part? The things you pulled out worked like they were still in their world.
No joke, in terms of Superpower rankings it was right under Reality Warping. But Combining it with her daughters power equaled a way out of this life for Eric. After insuring that the mother daughter duo were safe he copied both of their abilities. It cost him Flight and Electricity Manipulation, but in his mind it was well worth it.
` Using Entertainment Materialization, it was easy to get his vengeance on the ones responsible for his parents deaths. Naturally this had the side effect of bumping him right to the top of the wanted list. But that wouldn't be a problem much longer. He thought as he prepared to execute his final escape. He sighed as he set a timer on a bomb for 5 minutes. There would be no following him or coming back.
Taking one last look around the cabin that had been his hideaway for the last few weeks. He walked up to his T.V and Placed a DVD into the player. It had been hard to figure just which world he would go into. He didn't want one that was to chaotic or with a lot of super advanced Tech that could be used to track people. So that ruled out Star Wars, Star Gate, Halo, and Mass Effect.
He also didn't want to have to deal with a lot of Magic or Super Powerful Dark Lords. So that ruled out Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and The Inheritance Cycle. After a lot of thought, he decided of Game of Thrones, the Show, not the Book. There were still far too many unknowns in the books for his liking. And while the last two seasons of the show arguably sucked, he figured he could change that.
He already had a rough plan on how he could help not only the North and his favorite fantasy family, but the whole of world of ice and fire. Only thing left to do was take the Plunge, walking up to the T.V, he stole a glance at the timer that was ticking away, so about to destroy his way back as well as anyone else way in. Taking a deep breath he focused on exactly where and when he wanted to appear, and then he was gone from this reality. Soon to start a whole new adventure.
296 AC.
Wolfswood, The North.
Landing in the middle of a large and creepy forest, Eric knew instantly he was here. He had done it, he was now in Westeros! His inner-nerd was jumping for joy. But Eric who had been a part of a war between Evo's and Humans for as long as he'd been alive, remained stoic on the outside. He had a mission and a plan, it wouldn't do him to geek out yet.
Stretching his mind out with his Telepathy, he searched for other consciousnesses, finding only a few non threatening animals in his immediate vicinity. So he got to work on the first part of his plan. The gods.. or lack there of. George R.R. Martian was always vague about whether or not the Gods were real in his work. But he Eric did not believe in taking any chances.
If the gods were fake, that meant there was no afterlife. Which is kinda sad. If they were real it meant they were cruel or indifferent. Either way that was not good for the people of this world. So the first part of the plan was to get a god that would be on the side of the good people of this world. How to achieve this was the real issue. First you have to choose someone who you could trust to be a good and just god, and Second you had to find a way to make them a god. Which could be considered a bit of a tall order.
Luckily he was a bit of a nerd and knew just how to make a god. With his Entertainment Materialization it would actually prove quite easy. The hard part was finding someone he could trust not to abuse the powers of a god. Sadly the only person he trusted since his uncle Sylar was killed, was himself. So it would have to be him. Only problem with that was he didn't want to be a god, not only did it sound like too much work. It would put a stop to a few of his other plans.
Good thing he had a workaround. As luck or fate would have it, one of his copied abilities was Replication. He could make copies of anything including himself. Pulling his Laptop from his Dimensional Storage, he quickly made a copy of it. Just in case something unforeseen happened he didn't want to be without his most powerful tool. Putting his original back into Storage, he booted up his copy. While that was booting Eric made a Copy of himself, who immediately looked disgruntled.
"Do I have to?" The clone asked, with a non to pleased look about him.
"Yes." was the answer he got. "You know damn well why I can't. And someone needs to."
"Sure hoist all the unpleasant tasks off on your clones." He Snarked. "They won't mind having a 24 hour job with no vacation days."
Eric rolled his eyes at his clone, as he was bring up what he needed. Was he really this insufferable? If so he felt bad for his dad and uncle. "Look you know as well as I do all the myths about the gods. How they always seem to find time to hook up with random mortal women, and make little Demigods. So I'm sure it won't be so bad as your making it out."
"Whatever! This probably won't even work." the copy said with a roll of his own eyes.
"It will work!" Eric said with conviction, as he pulled up the show he was looking for. "Everything I ever pulled out with Entertainment Materialization worked exactly like it would in the fiction I pulled it out of. Including that magic compass of Captain Jack Sparrow's. There is nothing to suggest that this won't work as well."
"And here it is!" He exclaimed, as what he had been searching for appeared on screen. "Ambrosia aka the Food of the Gods! In most mythologies if the person who eats it is mortal it will make them Immortal. In the Percy Jackson mythos, if a mortal eats it they will spontaneously combust. But there is one show that liked to play really loose with Greek mythology. Hercules the Legendary Journey! In that show it turned mortals into gods."
"So I eat this. Become a god.. maybe. Deal with any cruel or eldritch gods that may or may not even exist. And create you and other mortals some kind of Elysium or Valhalla?"
"Yeah, pretty much." Eric nodded. "Create both. Elysium for the just non warriors, and Valhalla for the brave and just Warriors."
"You know just because you have the Hair cut doesn't make you a Viking." Snarked the Clone.
"I know." Replied the original. "But I have been on plenty of Raids. So..."
"One question before I put that in my mouth." Gesturing towards the glowing jelly like substance that was Ambrosia.
"And what would that be?"
"Assuming that other gods do exist here. How is just little ol me supposed to defeat them?" The Clone asked what he thought was a very legitimate question. Only to shiver as his original gave a damn right evil grin.
"Oh, that's simple." He said as he pulled two more items out of the Laptop. "With these!"
The clone could only stare gobsmacked. As he beheld the two items that now lay before him. Death's Scythe from the Supernatural franchise. And "Is that, the -"
"Infinity Gauntlet." Finished his original for him.
A.N: Fun Fact, did you guys know that the whole "the Infinity Stones don't work outside to the Universe they were created in" was actually a retcon that came much later in the story? Before that they had no such limitations. So if someone were to pull them from a comic from before the Retcon...
Anyways I hope you enjoy this little chapter. I'll try to post again soon. But work starts back tomorrow. If you liked it or didn't leave a review and let me know what I'm getting right or what I screwed up.
