Beginning AN: in accordance with the results of the poll I had going on with a voter score of 5 to 1 and 1 Tiny will begin being Described by her Teenage appearance from now on. this minor Arc will be in the Summer between Year 2 and Year 3 and it will be centered on everyone's second favorite Nintendo 64 Kart Racing game Diddy Kong Racing. but Banjo won't be making an appearance and Tiptup gets an appearance but he won't appear outside of this Arc. this won't turn into a three way crossover with Banjo-Kazooie so Banjo & Kazooie won't be joining the fray. in regards to Hermione, Luna and Lyra they get a growth spurt similar to Tiny. now on with the story.
Chapter 20: Diddy Kong Racing part 1
Tiny, Hermione, Dixie, Lyre and Luna were relaxing on the isles later that summer while the girls got used to their growth spurt when they received a letter from Timber.
"What's this?" Diddy asked picking it up and reading it aloud. "Wizpig has taken control of our beautiful island! Please help us! Timber"
"Let's go." Dixie said as the group ran off to Timber's island. Followed by a Kremling named Krunch.
"Hello there. I am Taj. Welcome to the island." Taj said when they arrived. "I am here to help, but first to make sure you remember the driving lessons."
Luckily Tiny, Hermione, Dixie, and Diddy did, though Luna and Lyre were now the cheering section, and were able to finish the basic tests were they had to beat Tajnin a race around a circle track three times.. With Hermione coming in first.
"Well done! You have beaten me. Here, take this Balloon. It will help you to access the race tracks in Dino Domain." Taj said giving them a gold balloon. Which they used to enter Dino domain, and go to the ancient lake race track. Where Hermione took the lead as Dixie held back so Tiny could race. The final order being Hermione, Tiptup, Dixie, Pipsy, Timber, Bumper, Krunch and Diddy last. With Hermione getting ten coins and using the speed boosts to nab the floating key on the ramp by the first turn while on the final lap, giving Hermione a golden balloon for the win.
The next course was fossil Canyon, which ended with Hermione getting 6 more coins, and winning the race for another golden balloon, with the final order being Hermione, Pipsy, Bumper, Tiptup, Timber, Dixie, Krunch and Diddy with Tiny sitting out. The following race was at Jungle falls, where Hermione got eight more coins and the win for another golden balloon with the final order being Hermione, Krunch, Tiny, Pipsy, Bumper, Tiptup, Dixie, and Timber with Diddy sitting out.
Afterwards Diddy wanted to redeem himself by completing Taj's plane challenge and won getting the golden balloon for beating Taj. With the next course being the plane only course Hot top volcano where Diddy got 3 more coins and the win for the golden balloon with the final results being Diddy, Tiptup, Timber, Bumper, Pipsy, Hermione, Tiny, and Krunch with Dixie holding back.
Afterwards Dixie got the gold balloon for the hover car challenge from Taj before Hermione had Taj upgrade her car to racing mode for 25 coins. Next was time for the boss race Hermione versus Tricky since she was the best car racer they had.
Tricky went easy on her the first time, but he shouldn't have. Hermione easily won, using a single missile balloon at the start, followed by the speed balloons, next were the balloon challenges where she had to pop balloons while taj gave her a ride on a single lap of the track. But since she wasn't driving it was easy, the hardest part was seeing the balloons from her place on the flying carpet.
Afterwards it was time for round two of Hermione versus Tricky where Hermione did the same and easily won again.
"Well done kid! You've earned a piece of the Amulet! Now try the trophy challenge! Good bye." Tricky said giving her a piece of the Wizpig amulet.
Afterwards they tried to find the trophy race, but found where the key Hermione got in her first race went to and unlocked T.T's wish race where Hermione got a piece of T.T.'s amulet for winning before they continued on.
Eventually they found the trophy section where they had to do all four races in dino domain back to back and win them all. In this group of races Dixie is the one who stayed out and the Ancient Lake course went Hermione, Tiptup, Pipsy, Bumper, Timber, Diddy, Krunch, and Tiny. The second course Fossil Canyon went Hermione, Bumper, Tiptup, Tiny, Pipsy, Krunch, Diddy, and next course was Jungle Falls, and went Hermione, Bumper, Diddy, Pipsy, Tiny, Tiptup, Timber, and Krunch.
Hermione sighed and realized that next was Hot Top Volcano, it was the plane course, which she is not the best at, but she was currently in the lead and did not want to lose that lead so would try her best to win, which would be hard with Diddy being in the race as well, luckily she had practice with the last time, and had figured out how to use the speed balloons and upgrade for it. And it did help. It ended with Hermione, Bumper, Diddy, Tiptup, Timber, Dixie, Krunch, and Pipsy. That combined with the point system they found out afterwards left the final points

This gave Hermione the gold trophy, and a piece of the signpost. She had also brought her coins up to 28 and after buying the plane race bodywork from Taj the group looked for anything they missed, and while doing so found a 20 coin scratch card, and unlocked drumstick, and got some more coins from throwing coconuts at the wall, they also found gold balloons. One by moving a frozen gold balloon to the river where the ice melted as it carried it to the beach, one by completing a drawing puzzlement the beach(that repeating with different patterns gave a scratch card that gave 20 coins, and then enough coins to get up to 259 total) they then got the racer bodywork for the hovercraft, and then since it is now unlocked got the air A for the car and air B for the plane upgrades for the plane before they followed Diddy as they flew their planes into Snowflake Mountain.
Ending AN: that's the chapter. read and review but flame reviews will be ignored. while Diddy Kong Racing may have a cult following in regards to relevance to the standards of the elite of the Kart Racing genre it's second best to Mario Kart 64 in my book.
