At the school's entrance, Michi looked into the building and he gained a fearful expression. He stepped back slowly and said,"It seems pretty dead inside. Are we sure this is the place?"
"Yeah. This is the address we were given, plus it's one of the few abandoned schools in the city that hasn't been renovated or destroyed.",Billie said, looking inside the building. She then turned her head to Michi,"You're not getting scared are you?"
"Scared?",Michi said with his voice cracking. He then cleared his throat and quickly gained a fake confidence,"No, I'm not scared. This is just a building, nothing to be scared of."
Billie smirked then she grabbed the handle of the door before ripping the door off the hinges. Michi was startled by this and he stepped back as Billie tossed the door to the side. Billie looked at Michi and put her hand up towards the inside of the school and said,"You wanna go first?"
Michi nodded hesitantly then he entered the school, being unable to hide his fear as he passed by Billie.
Minutes later, Michi and Billie were moving through the abandoned school, Michi cautiously looking into any classroom they passed while Billie put her hands into her pockets. Michi gulped then he was spooked when he heard a notification on his phone go off, but he quickly got out his phone to see he received a text from Marcus.
Billie glanced at Michi then she asked,"Is that Marcus?"
"Yes, he's checking on us.",Michi said while smiling.
Billie chuckled while turning to Michi,"How long you and him been an item?"
Michi blushed heavily as he began stammering nervously,"We, uh. We, we… We've been um official for a few days but we have been on seven dates before that."
Billie walked up to Michi and put her hands on his shoulders, causing him to stop talking and look at her as she said,"Kid, you don't need to be so nervous around me and you don't need to act tough. You should also be proud that you got a good guy like Marcus."
"I am proud; I am just shy is all.",Michi said while blushing even more.
"Shy is an understatement. You act like those girls on animes that obviously like a guy but do their best to act as though they're not head over heels for them.",Billie said while putting her hands on her hips.
Michi let out a surprised noise while blushing intensely and backing away from Billie. He then turned his back to her and put his hands on his cheeks while saying in an embarrassed and high-pitched tone,"I don't act like that at all. I can easily show Marcus how much I like him."
Billie put her arm around Michi's shoulders then said with a smile,"You and me are gonna be good friends. Now, let's get to finding that cloaked figure."
The duo began walking once more but stopped when the cloaked person walked out of an office and turned to them. Michi and Billie gained cautious looks while Michi said,"There's the cloaked figure."
"I'm kinda surprised that there's one actually here.",Billie commented. She then took in a deep breath,"We're with the Crypte Police Department supernatural division. We were hoping to ask you some questions regarding you coming and going from here."
The cloaked figure didn't reply but both Michi and Billie began to feel a heaviness around them. Michi took out his buckle as did Billie and they put them onto their waists, making the belts wrap around them. The cloaked figure lifted their hand and snapped their fingers which caused a platoon of minions to appear in front of it, brandishing short swords.
Billie took out a card that was like Michi and the others except on her card was a violet decaying arm coming up from some dirt. She then growled while putting her left hand over face and then said,"Henshin." putting the card into her buckle.
Decaying hands and gravestones made of violet energy appeared at Billie's legs before crawling onto her body and forming armor.
Billie's chest armor was violet in color with an orange collar that gave off of clawed necklace look, orange shoulder pads which were in the shape of jawless skulls that had violet eyes, noses and teeth, a jagged orange hem at the end which was above the midriff and four orange scar like lines on her breast plate. Billie had rather buckle arm guards that were rectangular, violet with an orange hem and a black wrist strap beneath them. Billie's thigh armor was a larger version of the arm guards but with orange skull designs on it which has violet eyes, noses, and teeth. Billie also had violet knee pads which were hexagonal in shape. Billie's armored boots were like that of combat boots and were violet except having an orange armored portion on which the tongue of the boot would be/where her shin would be in the boot. This was all over a violet undersuit which had violet gloves that had violet armor and the hands. Billie's helmet was primarily black with an orange visor in glaring yet crazy eyes, a jagged orange grin which was opened on the left side of the jaw which gave off a zombified look, and on the top of the helmet was wild short violet hair that had anime like spikes going to the right side.
"(Industrial metal music) ZOMBROOD!",Billie's buckle announced as her transformation finished.
Michi took out his card then he crossed his arms out to the side then he said,"Henshin." while putting the card into his buckle.
"KITSUNAI!",Michi's buckle announced as he changed into Kitsunai.
Zombrood and Kitsunai readied themselves as the minions charged at them.
Elsewhere, Marcus was staring at his phone, waiting to get a reply from Michi. Aj was leaning against the hood of Marcus' car while eating out of a silver pouch. She looked at Marcus and tapped him on the shoulder while saying,"Want some?"
Marcus looked at Aj and said,"Huh? No, I'm good."
Aj shrugged and continued eating. She stayed silent for a moment then said,"You know, staring at your phone won't make him reply any faster."
"I know that and it's what's got me worried.",Marcus said, putting his phone in his pocket.
"Oh c'mon Marcus, Michi and the new girl are at an abandoned school. There's probably nothing going on there and they're bored out of their minds.",Aj said, her voice being lackadaisical. Marcus began thinking and he quickly opened his car door and got in the driver's seat. Aj sighed then she got off of Marcus' car and got on to her motorcycle.
Back at the school, Kitsunai and Zombrood were fighting off minions, the amount of which had seemed to multiply. Kitsunai punched a minion then he kicked another before the jets on his boots made him fly backwards, making him let out a surprised gasp. Kitsunai landed on his butt and he groaned before dodging several slashes from minions. He was then surrounded by seven minions that began to stab at him. Kitsunai crawled out of the pile and he stood up looking back at the minions. He tilted his head in confusion then he swung his arms while the jets on his arm guards blasted flames onto the minions.
Zombrood punched two minions then she roundhouse kicked one minion into the air. She then punched the minion so hard, it flew through a crowd of minions killing them all. Zombrood then narrowly dodged several slashes from many minions before she slammed a fist into a minions face. She chuckled before she charged through several minions, hitting all of them as she did so.
The cloaked figure watched as Zombrood and Kitsunai fought the minions, remaining still but following both fighters throughout.
Kitsunai fell onto his back and he crawled away in fear from some minions before Zombrood hauled him to his feet, Kitsunai being shorter than Zombrood by four inches. Zombrood and Kitsunai looked at the remaining minions then Zombrood said,"Is it just me or are there a lot of these guys?"
"There are a lot of them and I wish there weren't."Kitsunai fearfully said while putting his fists up.
Zombrood glanced at the cloaked figure,"I think if we hit that person in the cloak these monsters will disappear."
"Why do you sound so unsure?",Kitsunai asked.
"Because I am making a guess and genuinely have nothing else that I think would work.",Zombrood freely admitted, causing Kitsunai to look at her immediately.
Suddenly, a shot was heard from the entrance of the school. Kitsunai and Zombrood looked towards the entrance to see Vampyr and Lykhan there with Vampyr having her guns drawn.
"Hey newbies, need a hand?",Vampyr said with a playful smug.
"Marcus.",Kitsunai swooned as he saw Lykhan charge towards the minions, his claws drawn. Lykhan slashed several minions with his claws then stabbed his hand through a minions shoulder and used it to hit several more minions. Vampyr jumped over Lykhan and kicked a minion in its chest. She then shot eight minions dead before standing up and kicking a minion with the heel of her boot.
Once all the minions were defeated, Lykhan and Vampyr walked up to Zombrood and Kitsunai with Lykhan hugging Kitsunai, who hugged Lykhan back eagerly. Zombrood looked towards the cloaked figure along with Vampyr, both women preparing themselves to fight. Lykhan stepped in front of Kitsunai and readied his claws while saying,"Crypte Police, you're coming with us."
"The four pillars have been awakened at long last.",The cloaked person said, their voice sounding modulated in some way. "Nhagual shall rise again."
"Pillars?",Zombrood questioned.
"Nhagual?",Kitsunai questioned while tilting his head.
"You're speaking a bunch of junk dude; why not speak it at our precinct when we're interrogating you.",Vampyr said, nearing the cloaked person while aiming her guns at the cloaked person. The cloaked person then evaporated into steam, making Vampyr stop in her tracks and become annoyed.
"What?! Where'd they go?!",Vampyr shouted in frustration.
"We can figure that out later, Aj.",Lykhan said as he relaxed himself slightly. He reverted into Marcus while turning to Kitsunai and saying in a caring tone,"Are you okay?"
Kitsunai reverted into Michi while he gave Marcus a small nod. Michi then shyly smiled while saying,"Billie and I were taking care of things, Billie doing most of the fighting."
"Don't sell yourself short, bud.",Billie said with a smirk. "Michi here was holding his own and was able to use those jet things pretty well. Though I'll say he needs LOTS of lessons in regards to fighting."
Michi looked slightly offended then he turned to Marcus and blushed while saying,"That's only slightly true."
Billie chuckled, then she looked at Aj, who came up to the group and said,"How come you guys got to have a lot of fun?!"
"None of that experience was fun.",Michi said in an unamused tone.
"You were fighting lots of minions. That's incredibly fun!",Aj argued. Marcus pinched Aj's pressure point and she cringed as Marcus said,"Aj, calm down."
"Okay, okay. Ow ow ow!",Aj said while moving away from Marcus.
Billie chuckled, then she said,"Cute." She then began thinking about what the cloaked person said but shook her head once coming to the conclusion that it was nothing. She and the others began walking to the exit of the school, Marcus and Michi holding hands as they did so.
