The raven demon did not manifest to mortals often, his presence was also hard to detect even those that showed tremendous magical prowess were unable to see or feel him. The last time a human had seen him was hundreds of years ago

Humans were dangerous creatures, easy to anger and resort to violence, their lives were a flutter of a butterfly's wing, a mere second against his eternal life.

But the human boy resting against the tree trunk was different, he was quick to anger, yes, and easy to tease, but his spirit was full of compassion, and strength, it was pure and sincere, his spirit told him everything he needed to know.

The golden lashes closed as the boy began to doze off, the spell book fell away from his grasp and his head lolled to the side. The pale man closed the book and traced the long tan fingers with his own, there was something there, something that connected them both, the boy was special, that much he knew with certainty.

The raven wondered why the boy was always alone, the powerful Uzumaki clan had been revered over centuries, their magical prowess was close to divine, and the boy was even more powerful than he thought he was, but he was always alone.

The god had concealed his presence and had flown to the edge of the forest, he rose to the sky and observed the small house where Naruto lived, a run down cabin so far fom what the Uzumaki clan used to live in, the mortal boy had no fame or glory like his ancestors.

For many days, the brunette came down from his domain to see this mortal boy. Naruto danced, laughed and played with the children of the town, He made flowers bloom out of the girls' hair and summoned wooden swords and small dragons of smoke for the boys to slay. But aside from the children and the occasional adult baring gifts or food he was aways alone.

"Why is it you like stalking me?" - Naruto said with a smile, his blue eyes spotting him hidden behind a tree. The pale men huffed and came to sight.

"It baffles me, to see the grand Uzumaki clan reduced to a small dingy cabin full of holes and dirt" - Those bright blue eyes sadenned, his smile faltered.

"Do you want to come in?" - the boy offered, the god walked with such grace, his black wings flapped to then hide magically from sight, leaving a broad pale back to sight.

When the raven placed his feet inside he felt so much pressure, he felt his lungs would burst, the barrier placed in the cabin was so strong the only reason he had been able to cross was because the blond had invited him.

"My mother placed that barrier before passing away, i was only five, none with ill intentions can come in" - the blonde said. The house inside was a completely different story, there was a long wooden hallway that took them to a small kitchen and three doors that he assumed were the family bedrooms. "My mother designed a spell to hide the real house, this and the books are the last things i have of her"

"The village elders have always helped me, fed me, taught me how to read and write, when i was a child, now i just do some jobs here and there and heal small wounds with simple magic, everything I've learned from mother's books"

"I'm sorry boy" - the raven placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"It's ok, I'm used to living alone, your jests about my lineage kindda hurt though, but if you know more amout them, i would love to hear it" - the blonde reach for a painting, he showed it to the raven, the woman with red fiery hair was smiling, her eyes were lit up with hope, love and happiness watching the bundle wrapped in her arms, the blonde man at her side was hugging her protectively. "I barely remember her, and my father passed away soon after my birth so i have no memory of him"

"come, let me show you our library" - Naurto guided him to the first door to the right, he opened the wooden door to show a room full of books, a desk and a few flask, vials and herbs. With a flick of his wrist he made a flame in the fireplace and sat down in front of it. "come, i dont bite" - he joked with the words the raven had told him the first time they met.
