Chapter four: Professor McGonagall
"Uh oh! The princess is trapped in the snow goblin's evil spell! Quick Elsa, hand me the prince! The fancy one!"
The two royal sisters were playing in Anna's bedroom. All sorts of dolls surrounded them. They were playing enchanted forest, one of Anna's favourite games. Elsa still remembered when she used to make the figurines out of snow for Anna. Unfortunately, those days were long gone… Now, felt dolls and mini plastic figurines replaced the snow dolls.
"Oh no, the prince is stuck too! 'Who cares about danger when there's love?'" Anna's voice drew Elsa out of her thoughts. "Ugh, Anna, blegh... Kissing won't save the forest!" Elsa exclaimed, chuckling. Looking around her, Elsa spotted a fairy doll and got an idea.
"The lost fairies cried out," she said, making the fairy doll in her hand fly. Her other hand held an elephant doll. Dropping the fairy, Elsa picked up a giraffe.
"The animals band together and wake the Fairy Queen, who breaks the spell and saves everyone!"
"And they all get married," Anna finishes, giggling.
"I see you two are having fun," a voice said behind the sisters. They turned their heads and came face to face with an old woman. She wore a pointy hat and green robes. Her hair was tied back into a tight bun, and she held a brown stick in her hands.
Anna clung to Elsa, startled by this strange woman's sudden appearance. Elsa however, had a feeling that she could be trusted. "Good day madam," she said, gingerly reaching her hand out. "I'm Princess Elsa of Arendelle. May I know what brings you to drop by my home?"
The woman studies Elsa for a while, before reaching out her own hand to shake Elsa's. "Professor McGonagall of Hogwarts, princess," said. "I was sent by Dumbledore to escort you to Diagon Alley. I trust that he has mentioned something like this during his last visit?" Professor McGonagall asked, raising an eyebrow.
So she's a witch, Elsa thought. Who knows? She might even be teaching me soon. "He did," she nodded curtly, answering the witch's question.
"Girls, what's going on?" came their fathers voice as he walked through the doorway. "Oh your majesty," Professor McGonagall said, turning to the newcomer. "Just who I wanted to see."
The king was a bit shocked to see a stranger in his daughter's bedroom. "Greetings Miss…" "McGonagall," the professor supplied. "Professor McGonagall."
"Greetings Professor McGonagall," King Agnarr said. "I presume you are a witch?"
"That is correct," Mcgonagall said. "I am here to escort young Princess Elsa to Diagon Alley to shop for her school supplies."
"Am I right to assume you are one of the few teachers who will know of my daughter's true identity?" the king asked, concerned. "I am," the professor answered. "So do I have your permission to take Miss Lovelace to Diagon Alley?"
"Permission granted madam," Agnarr replied. "Just keep her safe and out of harm's way."
Nodding, Professor McGonagall turned to Elsa. "Do you have your supply list with you?" she asked. Elsa shook her head. "Not right now," she said. "It's in my bedroom. I can go get it now."
"There will be no need for that," McGonagall said. 'Accio Princess Elsa's school supply list." With a wave of her wand, second page of her Hogwarts acceptance letter soon appeared before Elsa, just like how chocolate had appeared before Anna all those months ago.
Elsa grabbed it, then felt a tug at her sleeve. "Elsa, why did the professor call you Miss Lovelace?" Anna asked curiously. "I'm going to have to attend Hogwarts under an alias to protect my privacy. People can be very nosy if they learn that they are going to school with a crown princess," Elsa explained.
Anna nodded in understanding. "Can you bring something back for me later Elsa?" she asked. "I'm sure that a street filled with magic shops will have wonderful items." "Of course Anna," her sister replied.
Elsa focused her attention back on Professor McGonagall. "I'm ready, professor," she said. "How will we get there?"
"Wait and see Miss Lovelace," the professor answered. "Now just take my hand."
Elsa nodded, and held onto McGonagall's waiting hand. "Bye Papa! Bye Anna! See you later!" she said, waving her free arm. Her father and sister waved goodbye as well. Professor McGonagall waved her wand once more, and they were gone.
*This chapter is a bit short. I wanted to have a scene that linked the last chapter and the next chapter, so I guess this scene sort of acts like a bridge. It didn't really fit well with the last chapter or the next chapter, but I had to put it somewhere. So yeah. Please excuse the length of this chapter. Stay tuned for updates! Next stop: Diagon Alley!
