My take on the Mario mythos, with cues taken from all over the franchise.

Set two years after "The Crystal Kingdom". Mario and Luigi have once again saved Princess Peach from Bowser. Tired of the Koopa King and his plans, the brothers decide to take a vacation to a tropical kingdom called "Serene Isles" and invite their friends. Unfortunately, Bowser and his family end up at the kingdom too.

The twin brothers, Mario and Luigi, the plumbers from Brooklyn, are just a couple of everyday men who have something behind them, which they can not tell. One day, a mysterious woman from another world has led them to fall into another world in exchange to face the evil Bowser. This is the beginning of their journey. Oh, and Pauline is involved with the bros as well. (AU?)

After realizing that the Mushroom and Koopa Kingdoms still don't get along even with the peace treaty that was established, Rosalina, the grand protector of the Cosmos, takes it upon herself to change that. How will she change that, you might ask? By having them play a totally wacky card game, of course!

In flames she fell. In flames she'll rise. Reborn, like a phoenix from the ashes. But the ashes aren't hers.

After the events of the Super Mario Bros. movie, Princess Peach and the brothers bolster the Mushroom Kingdom's defenses by establishing island-wide radio communication. Meanwhile, in a faraway realm, the spirited but lonely Princess Daisy of Sarasaland has been dreaming of finding a friend group. Then suddenly, her father's old radio starts to pick up signals from another world...

So this is my very first fanfiction. I've never written one before so please bear with my terrible writing. This is a Super Paper Mario AU where Mario and Luigi were separated at one point in their early adventures and Luigi has always been Count Bleck's minion. Summary sucks but it will make sense as story progress. Also posted on AO3 under the same username.

Following his defeat in Super Mario Odyssey and the rejection of both Mario and Bowser by Peach, Bowser returns to his castle in defeat. Quickly afterward, Bowser concocts a scheme with the Super Crown, but it goes horribly wrong. Note: Contains strong language and violence.
