—Monday, afternoon—

.

Central city—

The sun was high up, heat radiating the city, and a swarm mobians were walking down the sidewalk as cars passed by the road. There was a small shop at the side of some buildings. The shop was filled with different kinds of plants and flowers. Outside the shop were blossoming flowers and green plants. The shop was owned by a 20 year old pink hedgehog, Amelia, Amelia Rose but Amy for short.

It's funny how her name is correlated with a flower and she owns a flower shop, the shop doesn't only sell flowers it also sells different kinds of plants but people mostly buy flowers from her shop. Amy was given the shop by her parents and took over the shop after 2 years of her parents passing. Amy just started working and fixing up the shop 3 weeks ago. It was truly stressful to do paper work and other government stuff but nonetheless pretty worth it.

Amy was doing her daily chores in the shop, watering the plants, making sure there were no weeds, making flower bouquets, or making the shop look clean, as she waited for a certain blue mobian to help her with stuff. Rouge had told Amy she had a friend that insisted who would help her today, so she did her daily chores to pass the time.

The shop was pretty small but big enough to fit the plants that needed a bit of sun and some free room so customers could walk in and breathe easily. Fairy lights dangle inside the shop and hanging pothos filled the corners of the shop. It also has a labeled 'employee's only', funny cause she's the only employee there at the moment—well she is looking for someone to work there—it's a small room for her to hang out in, a round table could be found with a 3 chairs complementing the table. Papers neatly placed on top of it and her small bag/sash which held her wallet, phone and over personal belongings she needed to go. The shop also provided a green house at the back, plants that needed sunlight were placed there.

The door of the shop was open wide, making the warm wind blew inside Amy's shop, making her long brown ruffle-edged skirt blow in the faint wind as she swept the shop's floor. The wind also causes the glass wind chime to make a small noise. But a small gust of wind blew in her small shop, it was different from the wind she would feel, it was like someone had made it. Amy, looking down, noticed a shadow on the tiled floor. She quickly looked up to see a blue hedgehog standing in front of the shop's entrance, making the pink hedgehog surprised. A 22 year old blue hedgehog wearing a white shirt and denim pants and over his shoulders was a mint green varsity jacket, he was clutching a small paper on his hand and putting it inside of his pants pocket. She swore that there was no one in front of the shop earlier before she started sweeping the floor; it was like he magically popped in front of her.

The blue hedgehog then stepped in the shop, stopping in front of her, asking the pink quilled girl, "Hello.. is this 'Roses garden'?" He flashed a nervous smile.

"Mhm, what can I do for you sir?" Amy responded, a faint friendly smile placed on her lips.

"I'm looking for someone named..uhm Amelia Rose?"

"Oh yeah that's me, I'm Amelia.. you can call me Amy instead!" She held out her hand, her other hand clutching on the wooden broom. The blue male then gently gripped Amy's hand and started shaking it. The two then parted their hands. "So...are you the certain blue mobian Rouge told me about?" She added.

"Ah, yes.. Im the hero that will help you for today Mrs. Rose!" Sonic jokingly said, bowing in the process. Amy chuckled lightly.

"Ah yes and who might my hero be?" Amy said in bowing in return, with two of her hands lifting the end of her skirt, matching the blue hedgehogs energy.

Sonic giggled in response to the pink hedgehog in front of him, her head bowed down. He lifted his head to see Amy much clearer, Amy felt the blue hedgehog moved and took a peak of him and fixed herself in a much relaxed standing position; her hands now in front of her, her own hands tangled on top of each other. Sonic also raise his upper body from his bow, a hand was relaxed on his side and the other hanged on his waist. He then spoke, "Names Sonic, Sonic the hedgehog." Leaving a cute grin on the end.

"So Rouge told me you need help with carrying big pots and...other stuff," Sonic said. Scratching the back of his ear.

"Yup! I could really do this on my own but Rouge insisted that you would come," Amy closed the door to her shop, her door making a small bell noise as the door had moved.

"Really? She did say to me that you really needed some help, but..I guess, you seem like you do need some help. It kinda looks like your working low on staff." He said, as he looked around the small shop, noticing that she was the only worker there. "Whys that?"

"Hehe, yeah.. well I actually just started working here 2 months ago, its kinda hard looking for staff at the moment and it does get a bit overwhelming here with work sometimes." She said nervously. "But, dont worry! I can handle it without any help...but it would really be a huge help for someone to help me." She rambled.

"Ah! Im sorry for rambling." Amy apologetically said.

"Oh no, don't! I don't really mind you rambling to be honest." He said softly. "Your voice is actually very pretty." He accidentally muttered out. His eyes widen, 'chaos, oh chaos, hope she didn't heard anything!"

"Hm? You said something?" Amy curiously looked at him.

"A-ah, uhm.. its nothing." He quickly said, small blush can be seen on his cheeks. Amy dropped the topic, he'll probably won't say it to her anyways.

She then gestured the blue blur to follow her to the green house, opening a back door that lead to the sunny room filled with potted plants. A pathway made of stone slightly wet soil underneath the potted plants, the two stepped in the warm greenhouse.

"Since your here to help me, were gonna propagate some pothos and I'll be showing you how." Amy said, and gave the blue hedgehog a sweet wink. Sonic was slightly stunned at her actions, so he smirked in return. As the two stopped in front of different potted variegated pothos. Amy took out 2 pairs of gardening gloves in her aprons pockets, she gave Sonic a pair and both hedgehogs put their dark green gloves on. Amy then tied up the end of her long skirt. Her legs could somewhat be seen. Sonic took off his jacket and tied it around his waist. Amy then bent down to start teaching the blue blur beside her. The girl then gestured Sonic to squat down with her, and obliged.

"So first things first, you gotta do is take the stem of the pothos, what we're gonna do is to cut the stem off but before doing so there should be at least 3 to 4 nodes." She explained. Sonic nodded, understanding what Amy is explaining.

Her voice was sweet and innocent, it was light as a feather making it soft in a way It was like an angels call. Her slightly rosy muzzle, was like that because of the warmer temperature in the greenhouse, was getting highlighted on the sun's dim light landing on her. Sonic then leaned slightly forward, to hear her soft voice ring into his ears, and he didn't really think of it that much of his actions. The two were pretty close. Amy noticed his actions, getting slightly flustered. Her hand now clutching scissors, she was about to cut the stem but looked at her side to see a blue hedgehog looking at what she was doing. She hesitantly cut the stem longingly looking at the blue blur beside her. His green eyes shone in the dim sunlight, the greenhouse's slightly shaded roof making the sunbeams rays a bit dim. The blue hedgehog felt eyes pierce through him, he then looked ay the pink quilled girl looking at him. Amy's eyes widen as she was caught staring at Sonic for a bit, making her blush quite hard. She quickly looked away so he wouldn't notice, and he surprisingly did not noticed.

"Haha, cough.. sorry about that.." Amy said looking down at the snipped off stem on the stone pathway.

"Nah it's alright." Sonic smirked. He really didn't mind her looking at him with her emerald green eyes, it was somewhat comforting for him, it felt like he knew he could trust her.

"Ahem...S-so..uhm.. continuing—," she trailed, trying to ignore the blush she had on her cheeks. 'That cute smirk... UGHHH SNAP OUT OF IT AMY YOUR NOT LIKE THIS.' She scolded herself now continuing her explanation on how to cut them properly.

(A/N : my mom takes care of pothoses and i overheard one of the videos she was watching on how to propagate them... so whoops—)

Amy let Sonic try to cut the stem this time. He then cut the stem with 4 nodes, leaves stuck out of its stem. The two then collected more propagated pothos and planted them on a small pot, 4 propagations each pot. Amy then trailed off on how some on the pothos variations are quite expensive. The both of them finishing some chores Amy had. Making small talk here and there, the two talked about their friends, Amy and Sonic had just learned that three of their friends are friends with both of them. And Rouge was one of them. They also talked about their family, hobbies and love life.

"Yeah and I never had a girlfriend before. And I don't really plan on looking for love any time soon. My friends even tried to hook me up with other mobians before, and they kinda forced me..but those 'dates' didn't work out." Sonic sighed and continued, "I even thought that Rouge was hooking me up with you today."

"O-oh, haha.. guess something much more different happened today, but aren't you kinda bored for doing...all...these?" Amy gestured her hands to the potted plants around them.

"Nah, I pretty much prefer to do..this...its actually quite fun than to sit in a table and awkwardly talk." Sonic giggled.

"Well, good that your at least having fun." She smiled warmly.

Amy was quite shocked that the blue hedgehog doesn't and haven't had a girlfriend before. The pink hedgehog was also quite sadden at the fact he isn't open to having a relationship at the moment, but respected his decisions nonetheless.

"How about you Amy?" Sonic said, breaking the silence.

"Uhh, wha—?"

"Have you gotten into a relationship before?"

"Oh... well...I haven't." She pouted her lips.

"Really?! I thought you might've have a boyfriend or something." Sonic said.

"What makes you think of that?" Amy cocked an eyebrow.

"Well for starters... you're pretty independent, you said you know how to bake, right? A way to a mans heart is definitely food, if your looking for a relationship...And you look like a person who is optimistic in life, y'know? ...and your eyes are pretty, you also look cute..and... beautiful..." Sonic rambled, leaving the the last sentence somewhat quite.

Amy's eyes widen, blood had quickly risen on her cheeks, making her cheeks glow in red. She was looking at Sonic, he was gazing at her longingly, she then darted her eyes off of him.

'H-he thinks I–I'm BEAUTIFUL and..and.. CUTE!?!!?!!' She internally screamed. Oh..Sonic just broke her. "I-I...uhm...thank you...really!... cough," Amy stuttered through her words.

Sonic then came to realize his last words. His eyes widen a bit. Oh boy, his muzzle quickly turned bright red. The blur suddenly took his eyes off of the pink hedgehog in front of him. "I-ahm.. Well no problem..friend!" He told Amy, Sonic faintly saw Amy's eyes droop down half way. Silence filled the room.

"Ah!..uhm.. there's these plants that needed to be potted. Let's replant them while there's still sunlight." She broke off the silence and smiled at Sonic. Sonic gave her a smile in return.

The two then fixed some potted plants that were up on a stair case platform and saw a hidden potted rose bud, it looked like it lacked sunlight so Amy picked up the pot and placed it on the dim sunlight.

"Poor rose bud, it probably haven't bloom yet because of the lack of sunlight." Amy sighed, looking at the slightly bowing rose bud.

Sonic looked back at Amy and said, "Yeah.. don't worry it probably just need a little sunlight." Sonic warmly smiled at her, making her smile in return. The two went back to work and chatted, they were soon interrupted by a customer walking in the shop, the small bell rang indicating someone had just opened the door. Amy excused herself and went back inside of the cozy shop, now attending the customer that just walked in. Sonic stood patiently, his foot started to tap on the stone pathway that was above the rich brown soil. Sonic was getting quite bored and started to think about the pink hedgehog, oh he dang remembers the conversation they had earlier..chaos...that was so embarrassing for him! Well he did say the truth. She was indeed beautiful. His cheeks started to faintly flush pink.

He then started to think on how her cottage core look matched her, and the small braids on her quills, her quills were also covered with small flowers of different kinds, her eyes shimmering— Sonic stopped at his trance, sweat rolling down his cheek. Oh.. OH DANG, does he...DOES HE LIKE HER?!??!! His eyes widen at the thought, 'hah! like her? Me, Sonic the hedgehog, was never into love! Besides I only just met her hours ago.' Sonic scoffs to himself. But, oh, he pushed the thought far away form his mind and labeled at his weird behavior as admiration. It's just gonna be a phase he'll grow out of! Its totally not love too—love was a strong word. Does he have a crush on her.

Amy went back in the warm greenhouse, interrupting his thoughts. He hated standing still, as his mind would start to think silly things.

"You okay?" Amy looked at the blue hedgehog. "You seem...deep in thought there Mr. Hedgehog." She then placed her finger on his fore head.

"Aha, yeah I'm alright, It's nothing to be honest." He shrugged, he looked at the pink hedgehog. Amy then took off her finger on his forehead and shrugged it off, "let's start fixing things up. It's almost closing time anyways."

"Huh, time does fly fast." He said with a grin on his face.

"Yeah, it really does."

Time really does fly fast when your spending it with someone you like.

The two had started to fix the greenhouse, Amy stopping when customers would come in. They finished cleaning up and Amy insisted the blue quilled hedgehog to head out first while she grabbed her things and lock up the shop. Sonic nodded in agreement and head out her small shop. She headed out and saw Sonic standing, waiting for her. She blushed at Sonic's kind action, even if it was just waiting for her. Oh she was in love alright, she wished she wasn't but I guess you can't control who your heart would choose. The sun was almost about to set, the pink, orange, yellow and blue gradient of the sky complemented the fluff pink-ish clouds. The two stood outside, the warm breezy wind brushing their quills.

Amy looked down and started, "Hey.. uhm.. thanks for helping me today. It really means a lot!"

Sonic stole a glance at her, one of his hands were on his pockets. He replied, "Hey it was nothing, really. I never thought gardening would be kinda fun." He chuckled at the end of it.

"Heh, thanks again. But gardening could sometimes be boring when your alone."

"Well I wouldn't mind doing this again to be honest." He shrugged.

Amy looked at the blue hedgehog beside her, the blue blur was watching the cars and mobians pass by them. The streetlights flickered open, an indication that the sun had already set. Eye's glimmering with hope that she could meet her blue"hero" again, her cheeks flushed pink a bit, but quickly shaking off the blush on her cheeks. "A-...y-you know you don't have to help me, if you don't want to." Amy dropped her head down, now staring down at the concrete floor.

"It's silly how you think I don't wanna do this again, Mrs. Rose." He softly gazed at her, giving her a smirk.

She quickly looked at him and averted her eyes to the road, feeling embarrassed. "W-well if you'd really like to, I don't really mind a helping hand once in a while," She replied, staring into the sea of cars passing by them.

"If we're both gonna meet again.. c-could I at least have your number?" He asked the pink lady beside him. A

"A-ah, sure! Let me just.." Amy started to look for a pen and paper in her bag, she soon found one and began to write down her number. She then gave the small piece of paper to him. "Here." She said softly. Sonic took the paper in her hand, their hands lightly brushing each other. He looked at it for a small moment and buries the paper in his pants pocket.

"Guess I'll text you later when I'm back home." He winked at Amy, her cheeks flushed a faint pink at his actions.

"Ahaha— y-yeah!" She stutter her words out of her lips.

"Guess this is also our time to part ways." Sonic looked up at the night sky, the stars could be faintly seen; the lights of the city overpowering the shine of the stars. And looked back to her, then lowering himself, resulting into a bow. Amy giggled at his antics, she would love to spend more time with him but they have to go home. She bowed back in return and said, "Goodbye and have a goodnight mister Sonic The Hedgehog! See you next time, whenever that is."

Both of them lifted themselves up and stood up correctly; the both of them were smiling at each other. They were both lost in their eyes. Sonic then broke the comfortable silence, "Heh goodnight to you too Ms. Amy Rose, talk to you later?"

"Yeah talk to you later" Amy warmly smiled.

"See ya whenever!" He gave her a wink and walked away from the opposite direction she was supposed to go. She stared off into the distance and watched the blue hedgehog disappear into the distance. She sighed and started to walk to the train station. Other mobians could be seen walking, its either by group, by pairs or by solos. The vehicles could be heard passing by, stopping whenever it was necessary. And talking could be heard around her, while she walked and making it to the crowded train station.

She hopped into a train and sat down on one of the seats, taking out her phone, her phone having a pink gradient phone case. She then plugged in ear phones and started to play music. She looked out of the train window to see the city lights in a blur. She then looked up—seeing the dark inky sky; the stars trying to shine brightly, competing with the city lights.

She then thought about the blue hedgehog she met earlier, her friend...her first...crush? Haha WHAT! Nooooooo... they just met—like hours ago! She thought about how she felt for him, how she thought about how his smile was warm and comforting, how he looks so handsome and cute, how his personality shines through him, oh chaos... and how he looks— CHAOS! Didn't she already thought about that? Wait why was she even thinking about..about...THIS. Wait .. this isn't totally a crush right? It was just admiration! Yess totally. Oh chaos, she's a total mess right now in. Just a friend.. right? The thought echoes in her mind. And before she knew it the train had halted and announced that they were there at their destination. She quickly stood up and walked out of the congested doors of the train.

She then continued to walked home. Ah..yes her humble abode, her house is a two-story building and it had a small garden up front, she also had a small balcony that connects to her bedroom. She walked up to her porch and unlocked her wooden door to see a dimmed hallway that leads to her stairs, and to the right you'll be able to somewhat see the living room, and to the left—the kitchen and dining room. She flicked the switch to open the lights of her house. It felt quite lonely for sure. Oh, she how lonely she was at home, even at work... and for some reason she suddenly thought about Sonic, she blushed at the thought of her and Sonic living together. But quickly thought about how they just met. Well she isn't really looking into love lately but recently that month she had felt quite lonely every time she'd go home. A lonely house. She shook off the thought and went to her kitchen to find something to eat. She took out her ear phones and placed her phone on a counter top. Going to her fridge to find her leftovers from the other night—it was tuna pesto pasta. She took it out, the cold container in her hands, and heated it in the microwave.

Suddenly her phone began to ring. She looked for her phone which was on the counter top and saw that her two friends were calling her, Blaze and Rouge. She sighed and answered the video call.

"AMYY!!!!" The two shouted through their phones, making Amy flinch in surprised. Their faces were close to their phones.

"AGH!?! G-guys? Why are you guys calling me— did something happen?!" Amy's voice grew in concern.

"Nope not really, so hows your day?" Rouge asked with a small smile plastered on her face.

"Ah..well it was nice.. the blue mobian you told me that would come was very helpful, and he also told me that he doesn't mind helping me again!" She blushed at the thought of him.

"Wait, whaaaaa—?" Blaze said surprised at Amy's comment.

"Oh? Really??" Rouge said in surprised too.

"Yeah... why are you guys surprised at my comment?" Amy cocked an eyebrow at her friends.

"Ah..uhm well, it's nothing to worry about Amy!" Blaze said.

"Yeah! So...What do you think of Sonic?" Rouge said casually.

"A- well he is sweet and quite handsome..AHAHA I MEAN—! w-well handsome in a totally pl—platonic way!" Amy stuttered.

"Mhm... totally." Rouge smirked.

"So how did your day go Amy?" Blaze asked the pink quilled hedgehog.

"Ah.. well—" Amy trailed off and talked about her day, while she ate her dinner. Whilst in the call she also got teased on how she kept describing Sonic. Minutes had passed, Blaze pointed out the time and the three girls said their goodbyes and went off to sleep. Amy however haven't got ready for bed yet, so she did just that. She tossed her clothes in the hamper of dirty clothes, and wore some much more comfortable clothes. She was now wearing a black spaghetti strap top and maroon shorts. She opened her bedroom door, and sat down at her bed. She opened her phone and unlocked it, she remembered that Sonic was supposed to chat her; Amy quickly went to her messages to see any new messages from someone. And to her surprise, there was one. She opened the chat and it read:

Sonic: "Heya Amelia Rose.. this is Sonic the Hedgehog speaking,You back hoem yet????"

Sonic: "Home*"

She chuckled at the text messages and began to type,

Amy: "oh hi Sonic!! Yeah I'm already home.. sorry for the very late reply.."

Amy stared at her phone, waiting for a reply. But soon realized that he may be fast asleep. She sighed, when she was about to close her phone a "typing.." pop up appeared. Her ears straighten up to the sudden pop up.

Sonic : "nahh its aight, y r u still awake??"

Amy: "i was in a call with my friends, we forgot abt the time"

Sonic: "ahh.. now go to sleep, you'll probably need the energy tomorrow.. "

Amy: "aye-aye captain, go to sleep as well"

Sonic: "hmmm... maybe"

Amy: "if you won't sleep, i wont sleep"

Sonic: "suit urslef , don't blame it on me if your cranky in the mornin"

Amy: "y cant u sleep?"

Sonic: " just something keeping me up"

Amy: "wanna talk abt it?"

Sonic: "mmm... nope, but im kinda not feeling sleepy"

Amy: "hmp...yk what, im going to sleep now. Good night mr. Hedgehog!"

Sonic: "awwe alright Amy, night."

Amy: "bye..cya, get some sleep as well"

Amy closed her phone and puts it on her nightstand beside her, leaving her phone charging as well. She flopped in her bed and she let herself sink in her bed, consuming her cozily. She looked up at her ceiling, glow in the dark stars shined lightly. She let her eyelids fall. Darkness was only to be seen and the pink quilled girl drifted off to dream land. The last thing in her mind was the blue hedgehog and what will be in store for her the next day.

—Tuesday, morning—

.

The sky had a slight orange and pink mixing with the blue sky, indicating the sun had already rose. The faint chirping from outside ,the city was bustling with mobians of different kind could be heard. Mobians at that time were now going off to work. The sun rays had reached a certain pink hedgehog's window and to her face. Warm sunlight kissed her skin. She groaned in annoyance. Her eyes fluttered open, to see her window blasting her with the sun's light. Chaos it was like she was being taken by the gods. She quickly turned away and squinted at the side of her bed to let her eyes re-adjust itself. Once she could see properly now Amy groaned in annoyance, grumbling to herself that she had forgotten to close her curtains before going to sleep. She got up from her bed and looked at the time.

'7:15 am'

It was thirty minutes before her alarm clock would scream at her. She groaned in annoyance, she She took the extra time in her hands and groggily stood up, took the clothes she was wearing today and walked to her bathroom fo take a shower. She took a nice shower and wore her clothes for the day. It was a white blouse with puffed up sleeves that reached above her elbows, she also wore a high waist light green skirt that fall to her ankles. She got out from her bathroom and walked down the stairs, she then went to her kitchen to make something for herself. Making toast and coffee. She sat down on her dining room chair. It was pretty lonely. She quickly ate and drank her breakfast and took her sash. Then putting socks and shoes on, the pink hedgehog got out of her humble house walking to the train station. While walking she was thinking on what to do with the spare time, and thought about strolling for a bit in the city. She hummed to herself fo do exactly that.

She made it to the train station, the train station was packed with mobians. She looked at the sea of different animals standing and waiting for the train to come. Whilst looking, she had spotted a certain blue mobian, his head was turned away talking with someone, they look like a fox. Sonic was wearing a green sweatshirt and some jeans. She pushed herself in the crowd, walking closer to the certain blue mobian. The blue hedgehog was talking about something, she got close enough to now hear the conversation he was having.

"—She's pretty cool, and chill." The cobalt quilled hedgehog shrugged. It was like she had missed so much more of what he said.

"Oh? So you do like her!" A slightly high and scrawny voice teased. "Aweee Sonic is finally getting a girlfriend—,"

"Wh-what? N-No! We're just friends n' all... and..we just. met, don't quickly assume anything and get get your hopes up buddy." Sonic said, as he ruffles a short yellow orange fox.

"H-hey! Stoooopppp." The 15 year old kitsune groaned out.

Amy walked up to them, she could now see the yellow orange fox clearly, he was wearing a white blouse with a dark grey vest, glasses were also hung from vest, and light grey pants. He was slightly much shorter than Sonic but a possibility that he might surpass his height much later.

"Hey Sonic, fancy seeing you here." Amy waved up her hand, a warm smile plastered on her face. The two boys shot their heads from her voice.

The fox leaned in Sonic's ear and whispered, "Okay..I could see why you like her now. I am totally rooting for you—" Teasing the blue hedgehog.

Sonic's eyes widen, a small blush crept to his cheek, " I told you I don't like her." He gritted his teeth. He then hardly nudged the kitsunes side making Tails clutch his side. He was slunched forward; his head was also down; and his other hand gripping his blue friends shoulder.

"—ACK!!! OWWWW!?!?...Sonic what'd you do that for???" He glared at the blue blur.

"Nothing.." Sonic blankly glared at his friend, and turned to Amy. She was quizzically looking at the both of them, confused at what had happened. "Heya Amy! Didn't know you took the train." He waved back.

"I didn't know you took the train, you walked the other way yesterday." She raised an eyebrow in suspicion.

"Ah, yeah I just had to fetch this kiddo." He patted the foxes back. The twin tailed fox rolled his eyes at the comment.

"I could actually get home by myself Sonic, I'm not a little kid anymore." He said while he corrected his posture, now standing up straight.

"I know," Sonic smugly smiled. "I just can't believe you've already grown up so much." He genuinely said. The two tailed fox warmly smiles at his big brother figure.

"Oh! Also Amy, this is Miles Prower, he usually goes by Tails." He gestured his hands to the twin tailed fox.

"Hello Amy, I've heard A LOT about you!" He glanced at Sonic and back at Amy, and stuck his hand out, reaching for a shake.

"Oh! Really?" Amy took Tails's hand and shook it, while she turned to look at Sonic. Blush could be seen on his cheeks, he embarrassedly looks away from the two. She giggles on his actions. "I'm really flattered that he talks about me. Wait does Rouge talk about me?"

"Ah..mostly from Sonic." Tails smiled, their hands parted from one another.

"Huh...so what are you guys doing here?" Amy asked the two boys.

"Oh.. well were just going to a café in the city, it's kind of our day off work." Sonic looked back at the two.

"I thought you already had you day off?" Amy asked.

"Mm.. well Rouge insisted me to go and help you, since she said you really needed the help... and she also agreed to do some of my boring work, so I took the offer to help." Sonic shrugged.

"Huh... also you guys going to a café?" She said.

"Yeah." Sonic answered.

He gripped Amy's arm and pulled her close to him. "Sonic, is it okay if we let Amy join us today?" His two tailed brother asked, as he grins from ear to ear. He was lowly jumping like a little kid wanting something. Amy smiled at Tails's actions.

"Yeah sure, if she wants to." Sonic responded, he looks at Amy for her response.

"I don't really mind joining you guys, I do have time to some spare." She told them.

"Good, now Amy... what do you think of Sonic?" Tails asked, with a mischievous grin on his muzzle, still gripping Amy's arm.

"Ah—well...uhm..he's cool and nice. As far as i've known he cares for his friends a lot, which I find really sweet and cute!" She nervously said, looking down at the ground. A small tint of pink was found on her cheek. Sonic faintly blushed at compliments on him.

"Mmm..." Tails hummed, a smug looked was plastered on his face.

Before they could continue on the conversation the train could be heard close by. The train was now there! The trio went in the congested train, and looked for seats to sit on during the ride. They finally found free seats and took a seat. The Amy and Tails exchanged questions during the train ride while Sonic would sometimes join in the conversation, but he mostly chilled on his seat not wanting to just butt in; he also lightly tapped his foot against the metal floor out of boredom. He really didn't mind. Looking out of the moving train was relaxing while you have your two friends making background noise to fill in the somewhat silent cart.

The train then halted to a stop; the trio left the train. They walked down the streets of the crowded city. The sun shined brightly, it's sunlight landing on their skins. Their skin tingle with warmth. The trio reached to their destination: the café. Sonic opens the glass doors for both of his friends.

"Thank you Sonic, your such a gentleman." Amy said genuinely, Sonic grinned at her comment, boosting his already high ego.

"Yeah Sonic, your such a gentleman~." Tails playfully said, Sonic rolled his eyes in return. "He's really not this...mmm how do I say this...trusting, caring and calm to anyone outside our friend circle before."

"Oh? Why's that." Amy asked.

"Dunno.. but he seems to be really fond of you." He said quietly so Sonic wouldn't hear him. The trio went in the café and took a seat.

"Huh, I'm quite flattered." She said, placing a hand on her chest. A warm smile spread across her muzzle.

"Flattered about what?" Sonic asked, a curious gaze was on his face.

"Ah-! Well...Uhm... flattered about Tails being fond of me." She blurted out.

"Well he should be. Cause' your a very cool friend." He winked.

Amy faintly blushed, "I-... T-thanks." She nervously shot him a smile.

"Well lets order something now you two!" The two tailed fox told the cotton candy duo. Smugly grinning at his friends.

The trio order their dishes and ate them while they talked about certain things. Like on how Sonic and Tails met, they met when Sonic was going home from work, Sonic found a 10 yr old Tails getting bullied in an ally way, getting kicked and punched. He defended the two tailed fox and found out that he was an orphan child that escaped from the orphanage. He took him in and took care if him, and they developed a brotherly relationship with one another. Sonic saved up money for Tails to go to school. Sonic also mentioning how smart he is and how he invents cool inventions. Very cool indeed. Tails was very thankful of Sonic, and told him that he was looking for a part time job, but Sonic insisted that he doesn't need to and leave it up to him. Tails got a job anyways—being a mechanic and a coder.

Amy looked at the time and realized that it was almost opening time for her shop. She excused herself to leave but was asked by the blue hedgehog.

"Want me to come with you?"

She was somewhat taken back at his comment, her cheeks flushed pink. "A- well I don't mind the company but I guess Tails will be kinda left out." She glanced at Tails.

"Oh don't worry about me you two could go, I wouldn't mind the peace and quiet for a moment." Tails shot a smirk on his brother. "You two should get going, you guys might not make it in time."

The pink and blue duo walked out of the small café. Amy's shop was pretty far from the café, so it will be a slightly long walk. The duo walked in a comfortable silence, well...not really silent because of the buzzing noise from the mobians walking by and the cars passing by them.

"So.. what do you think of Tails?" Sonic broke the comforting silence.

"He's pretty cool. I'd love to talk to him again sometime, and he seems to have a nice teacher." Amy answered with a warm and comforting smile.

"He'd be glad to talk with you again, and yeah he does." A cocky grin plastered on his lips, while he rubbed his index finger ok his nose. Amy then stopped walking, the blue hedgehog didn't seem to notice the pink hedgehog halted. He soon realized why she stopped from her tracks...because they were already there at their destination.

"Oh... looks like were here." Amy noticed the familiar shop beside them. Sonic was quite disappointed that their conversation was cut short. "Guess this is our time to part ways again Mr. Hedgehog! See you..sometime soon?"

Sonic bowed playfully. "Of course milady Amy Rose!" He then looked up to see her emerald green eyes looking at him, glistening through the sunshine. A small smile crept into his face. "See you..tomorrow?" He adjusted his posture, now standing straight.

"Oh.. uhm.. yeah see you." She answered, Amy was quite stunned at his words. 'He said he would meet me TOMORROW!!!! Chaos Amy calm down, this is just simply platonic!!!' She told herself. Dang, she couldn't help herself but smile at the thought of him hanging out with her.

"Yeah..bye." The cobalt hedgehog shortly answered. It was like he was stalling...HU H.

".. bye!" She said back to him. The two then waved their goodbyes. Amy then opened the doors to her shop and tidy up the place. After sweeping the tiles of the shop, dusting and wiping the surfaces of the counter tops and windows. The wind blew in her shop, inhaling the warm summer breeze. Oh it reminded her of Sonic. She quickly dismissed the thought and not get distracted. She decided to check upon her plants at the back before watering the plants, well the watering can was in the back anyways so why not take the opportunity to look at the lovely greenery the greenhouse offered. Whilst looking, she saw the rose, the rose from yesterday. The rose had now bloomed open. It was in direct sunlight, the sun rays kissed the roses petals softly, it's beautiful cool color shining. She was quite excited yesterday what color the rose would be and she was stunned at the color it had... it was like it was coincidental...no... fate? ...It could be. But no...

The purple rose had bloomed beautifully. It was really fitting for what she was feeling for the blue hedgehog. It did remind her of that blue blur. She admitted she did have a small infatuation on the cobalt quilled hedgehog. Just an infatuation, nothing else. It was totally just a phase, well he is attractive and caring!

She then sighed at the thought and pushed it back. Thinking about her feeling for him wasn't her top priority at the moment, so she got back to doing some of her daily chores.

It's totally just a coincidence.

It's was just a crush—something that's temporary.

A purple rose? Hah! Why would I fall in love with him at first sight?
