This is an idea that I have had for years and a weird one; I consider the Sonic movies my favourite video game movies even if the animated Mario movie could be a strong contender for better overall in adapting the source material (and I admit my own bias due to liking Sonic more my entire life) but I also really like the Rampage movie and collected toys of the Lanard toyline. With the big figures of the 3 monsters and their smaller ones.
Plus help those starving for Sonic movie content since we haven't yet had so much as a poster or a teaser trailer for the Knuckles show. Plus I have kaijus in my mind as I am excited for the New Empire the sequel to Godzilla Vs Kong.

Today the genetic company Energyne came up with a creative way to work on and test their new CRISPR pathogen...
The Athena-1 space station; equipment and technology were smashed up with corpses floating about in the station's zero gravity; the lone surviving scientist Dr Kerry Atkins floating about and called mission control; she explained that something went wrong with the test with the crew now dead and the integrity of the station critical. Kerry wanted to go to the escape capsule but she was told to secure the cannisters but Kerry protested about the test subject being rat. Mission control reminded her about the test subject being a rat and Kerry tries to open the hatch to the escape capsule.
"Dr Atkins; this is Claire Wyden your boss and the owner the station. We will open the capsule once you secure the sample. This is plain and simple: come home with my property or not at all." a female voice told Kerry as she looked behind her and reluctantly went back to the lab.
She got the containment unit and opened up the holder of the cannisters of the samples; she heard sounds as the alarm went off. She looked terrified as floated about behind her with fire behind it was an enlarged mutated rat. She yelled through her headset to open the capsule as she was being chased by the rat. She got the hatch open and went inside. The hatch was closed before the mutated rat could get inside.
She activated the capsule sending it off as the rat was trying to break through the window. Kerry sighed relieved as she watched the space station go up in flames through the window. However the window of the hatch broken open as her capsule went up in flames.
The next morning all the way in the forest of the small town of Green Hill; the young 14 year old Sonic the hedgehog along with his two friends/adopted brothers Miles 'Tails' Prowler and Knuckles the echidna were sneaking about as Sonic had them hide behind a big rock. "Okay everyone... I would like you all to meet you longest and most faced rival... Not as much as Robotnik or even Crazy Carl..." Sonic whispered to them as they spotted a wolf going about.
"Doesn't look like much Sonic..." Tails whispered to Sonic as Knuckles looked serious.
"You are proof young fox that the most unassuming creatures could be more than meets the eye... I bet this creature has a body count in the hundreds and brought end to civilisations..." Knuckles said as Sonic blinked and shook his head.
"No... Nothing like that...He found me not long after I came here and I have been messing with him ever since... He tries to hunt me down but it's a good time... We have fun..." Sonic explained and threw a rock at Ralph's direction which he noticed; Knuckles picked up a bigger one and threw it at Ralph with Sonic and Tails' eyes widened as it hit a tree as Ralph heard the sound and then noticed their direction.
Sonic then ran fast as Ralph then chased him and Ralph ended up seeing holograms of Tails in the sky taunting him as Sonic did so as well. Ralph was surrounded by the holograms as the 3 aliens then laughed.
"Huh... What's that..." Knuckles said as they looked up and saw something fall from the sky; it was one of the cannisters that landed.
"Okay; I have seen this scenario hundreds of times in movies and they never lead to anything good... Let's just get out of here and... Ralph... I wouldn't go near that..." Sonic then said as they saw Ralph curiously going to the crash site and seeing the sample inside the destroyed cannister; he then eat it.
"Oh no... This is how practically every alien infection story goes... This is the Thing!" Sonic gulped as they looked concerned.
"I am sure that Ralph will be fine..." Tails said going up to Ralph and scanning him with the Miles Electric. His eyes widened at the readings and said "I stand corrected... We better start running... Please let us keep up Sonic..."
San Diego Wildlife Sanctuary; Tom & Maddie Wachowski had turned up with an appointment and being shown in. Tom was looking concerned as his wife told him assuredly "Can you please calm down and take it easy Tom... The boys can be trusted to look after the house while we are gone. They are getting better at taking care of themselves when they have to..."
"I know but last time that we went out of town and left Sonic in charge... I got a video call with him surfing down snow with a fox..." Tom told him and Maddie could see his point.
"Just calm down and trust him; you know being a parent means taking the risk that our kids will be able to take care of themselves..." Maddie told him and he ended up nodding.
"Okay... I will stop worrying about them and start worrying about if George will flip me off again..." Tom said as Maddie laughed as they once a year visited a young rare albino gorilla that stayed at the sanctuary and was rescued from poachers when it was young.
They were led to George's habitat and were confused to see employees around a cave with them frowning. "Something wrong Davis..." Maddie asked as Davis Okoye the large muscular man with an action star physique greeted them.
"Tom, Maddie... Thank you for coming... So are you a big time cop yet Tom?" Davis asked greeting his old friends but Tom shook his head.
"Nah... I realised how much Green Hill means to me and I prefer looking after the people that I care about..." Tom then answered but Davis laughed.
"So it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that months go you were wanted as a fugitive suspect of a terrorist attack? I watch the news..." Davis then said as Tom sighed. "Anyway... Sorry if this isn't the best time but we found a dead bear and George has a scar on his chest..." Davis told them softly as they were concerned and looked at the cave with George kneeling down looking scared in the cave with his scratch making the Wachowskis wince.
"Man... He has gotten big since last year..." Tom muttered but Davis shook his head.
"Since last night... He has somehow grown much larger..." Davis said making the Wachowskis frown with confusion.
"I am not the animal expert but I am guessing that it's not normal..." Tom asked as Maddie and Davis shook their heads as someone came over and showed him photos of a tablet showing the crashed site of a cannister.
"Oh come on... Can't we go on one trip without an alien incident..." Tom whispered to Maddie with a resigned sigh.
The headquarters of the global military and surveillance task force GUN or Guardian Units of Nations; Commander Walters had a monitor showing a trajectory map of the planet. "3 hours ago; 3 unidentified objects fell from the sky and crashed onto the planet. Our satellite scans shows debris of an unidentified space station and I don't have to tell you how worrisome that this is. I don't know if Robotnik had some sort of back up plan or if by some miracle he cheated death for a second time or if he is even involved... Still this could very well be related to some sort of extra-terrestrial threat... The sort of threat that GUN was founded to take care off... I can count on you Agent Russel to lead the investigation?" Walters asked facing a certain agent.
Yes Agent Russel is part of GUN here in this universe instead of just a general government agent here. Helps streamline the two universes to merge them.
