This is what Abigail or Abby (is what she likes to be
called) Keller always dreamed for a life that she was
treated fairly. Unfortunately real life has a way of
crushing those dreams. Her whole life a lot of people
treated her like she was the plague. Since she thinks
and acts differently then they do. Her father was the
only one that didn't treat her like some sort of freak. He
made an effort to understand her and she was happy
for a while until the day the world took the only person
that treated her like a person. Her mother was a very
busy woman with her new job as a toy designer for the
Blake corporation called Toys for Tots. She never had
time for Abby, sure she made her meals for the week,
pay the bills, and takes her to doctors to get checks up
or she gets sick. Most of the time she was left all alone
to fend for herself. In the past her mother was more
encouraging, nice, and sweet towards her. Even she
tried to make an effort to understand her daughter.
After her husband Harry Keller passed away. She
became more focused on getting a career then looking
after her own daughter. She became more strictly
towards Abby and kind of gave up of getting to know
her daughter. This greatly upset her, then came that
faithful day when her life would be changed forever.
Abby is an eleven year old girl with blue eyes and short
wavy black hair. She is half Italian and half German. She
wears her favorite red t-shirt with a orange and yellow
sun on it, green jacket, blue shorts, and white and red
sneakers. She starts to wake up as she looked around
to see where they are. There were trees, mud, on the
ground and it felt very humid. She guessed she was in
some sort of swamp like place. "Oh no?!" Abby says as
fear of realization took a hold of her. She then starts to
cry, "No… no… no…!" Abby says as she hugs her knees
and puts her head on them as she cries softly. "Why
me?! Why does bad things have to happen to me?!"
Abby says in anger as she sees a small stone, she grabs
it and throws it at the tree in anger.
"Settle down young one you don't have to worry about
your situation anymore" says a unknown voice. Abby
looks up to see a ghostly giant newt like creature. It had
turquoise slimy newt skin, with a long tail, it had short
blond hair tied up in a ponytail. It wore a green and
black tunic, black pants, a brown belt on it's waist,
green boots, green and black gloves, wears a black and
green fadora with the Amphibia symbol on it and a black
cape on it's back. It stared at her with his ghostly eyes.
"Aghhhhh! A ghost!" Abby yells in panic for seeing a
ghost as she rolled herself in a ball as she shakes in fear
of the ghostly newt.
"Don't be afraid young one, I'm not here to hurt you."
The ghostly newt says.
Abby stopped shaking, she glared at the ghostly newt
as she got up from the ground. "This girl has a name
mister and it's Abigail Keller but I prefer the name
Abby!" Abby shouted at the newt as she glared at him
suspiciously.
"Okay Abby, it's nice to meet you my name is Flipper
Scanmander. I was once the guardian of Amphibia years
ago. Unfortunately due to my untimely demise I'm just a
wandering spirit waiting for my apprentice to arrive and
today I found her" Flipper says enthusiastically.
"Wait a minute I didn't sign up for this! I'm only eleven
for heaven's sake! Look for another apprentice Flipper! I
want to go home and out of what this place is?!" Abby
says as she didn't want anything to do with being
Flippers apprentice.
"I'm afraid that's not possible Mrs. Keller. Since you are
the only one that can see me is prove enough that you
have the makings of being a good guardian. I have
wander this world for a thousand years to look for the
next guardian. Every Amphibian I tried to interact with
could not see me, hence they couldn't become my
apprentice. But Now that you are here I am bound to
you, little to no choice since I saw you unconscious with
your friend over there. I tried to float away to get a
couple of healing herbs but I ended up being pulled
back. So you are stuck with me until I finish my
unfinished business by making you the next guardian."
Flipper said in a serious tone.
Abby looked like a deer in headlights she tries to make
sense of what was happening to her first she ends up in
a swamp, next she is bounded by an ghostly newt that
wants her to become his apprentice. Abby just took a
deep breath to calm down so she can think straight. Her
psychologist taught her how to deal with big emotions
by taking deep breaths. Firstly she needed to know
where she is and then…. Abby's mind wanders as she
looked at a desperate Flipper. She feels like she's going
to regret this but if being his apprentice is the only way
to get her unbound by him so be it, plus she hated
seeing Flipper looking miserable. Then she thought
about the comment Flipper said about "her friend".
Abby looked around to see an unconscious Thai-
American teenage girl with a slender build, light brown
skin and messy auburn hair. She has two small leaves
and a stick stuck in her hair. Her clothing consists of a
grey t-shirt with a purple collar and a school crest that
says SJMS (probably a school uniform), a short purple
skirt, a pair of yellow sneakers with white lining and grey
socks. She also sees a magenta pink backpack with a
TUFSTUF logo on it. On the ground next to the girls
unconscious body was the thing that caused her
misery. A gold brown wooden music box, in the front is
a a tropical tree and a frog is graved on it. The top of it
the lid of the music box had three gems a blue, pink,
and green but instead of the gems being whole they are
cut in half. That it looks like someone broke the gems by
trying to pry them out. Abby sighed at the sighs before
turning to Flipper.
"I'll be your apprentice Flipper, but you'll have to answer
some questions." Abby stated.
"You have my gratitude Abby, I'll answer them to the
best of my abilities." Flipper said.
"Where are we? Can you tell me about this? (Abby
grabbed the music box and showed it to Flipper)"
"We are on my home world called Amphibia. It is a
Swamp base world where the Frogs, Toads, Newts,
Axolotls, and Salamanders that live here. As for the
strange box I think it has the power to send someone to
another world. I admit it does look familiar to me, but
roaming around Amphibia a 1,000 years as a spirit had
caused me to lose most of my memories" Flipper said.
"So I am in another world?! This is a disaster! How are
we going to survive in this world?!" Abby panicked.
"Now now, Abby as your teacher I can help you and
your "friend" her survive in this world. I may have lost
most of my memories but I do know how to survive in
the wilderness." Flipper says with confidence.
"That's lucky for us." Kelly says in relief. Then the Thai
girl starts to to get restless in her sleep.
"One more thing. You mustn't tell anyone about me only
the ones you think are worthy enough to know about my
existence. One more thing, Abby I'll always be here for
you. Whenever you need my advice or feel lost I'll be
right here." Flipper said one last time before
disappearing.
"Uhhh, what happened? where am I?" The Thai girl
says. As she just woke up and looked at her
surroundings. As she just realized that she wasn't at the
park or in Los Angeles anymore. Then she sees the girl
with the music box who ruined her life.
"YOU!!" The Thai girl shouted in anger while glared at
Abby. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! IF IT HADN'T BEEN
FOR YOU I WOULD BE AT HOME WITH MY PARENTS
CELEBRATING MY BIRTHDAY!" The Thai girl yells at
Abby.
"WAIT A MINUTE, HOW IS THIS MY FAULT! I DIDN'T
KNOW THE MUSIC BOX WOULD SENT US TO
ANOTHER WORLD! I… sniff…didn't…sniff…want…to…
sniff…be here either!" Abby says in an upset tone as
tears begin to form in her eyes.
The Thai girl felt really bad for yelling at her, even
though she was the one that got them stranded here
she's still a kid.
"Look I know you got me and my friends stranded, but if
we are going to survive in this world we have to work
together." The Thai girl said calmly. Which made Abby
stopped crying and as she looked at the girl with a
nervous look.
"Okay… I'll… help anyway I can." Abby said in a timid
voice.
"Great, my name is Anne Boonchuy and your name is?"
Anne asked the other girl her name.
"Abigail…but I go by Abby, Abby Keller." Abby
introduces herself to Anne.
With that Anne and Abby walked into the forest with the
ghostly newt named Flipper Scanmander who has
bonded with Abby.
Now the two humans must move forward as they try to
survive in this new world.

version of my Amphibia oc named Abigal or Abby Keller.
I got inspired on some of the stories that other
Devienart authors made and decided to write my own
version of Amphibia.
