"Colonel, do you realize what we could do with this?"

"I don't like it, Carter." Jack said looking around the hut at the several smiling natives. Carter was always excited when they found new technology, here there were even folks willing to show her how it worked. Too willing if you asked him.

"This is clean energy Sir, not to mention the effectiveness of some of the medicines." Sam couldn't hide her enthusiasm. "We need to get Janet here; I barely understand what they are showing me."

"Slow down Carter." Jak pinched the bridge of his nose. "Look around you. By all appearances they are hundreds of years behind us in their evolution. Have you stopped to consider how they got all this advanced tech?"

"Jack, cultures can evolve differently then our own. Flegger said I could have full access to their archived histories, then I'll be able to explain it for you. This is a great opportunity to see how and why the developed the way the did!"

"Daniel." Jack started, his tone clearly ending the conversation. Jack hated when those two ganged up on him like this. He looked at Teal'c, "I suppose you also want to stay?"

"On the contrary O'Neill, I too find the development of these people unlikely natural."

"For now, we leave." Jack held up his hand to silence the complaints of the scientific half of his team. He walked over to the group of men, "Flegger, Inst, we are very grateful for your hospitality and willingness to share with our people. But we are a first contact team, and we will have to return to our home before we can proceed."

"We understand, you are welcome back anytime!" Flegger acknowledged with a smile.

"Right." Jack looked around the group, then to his team, "Time to go."

Jack noticed the dejected looks between Carter and Daniel, but to their credit they silently exited the hut. Teal'c followed them with Jack close on his heels. So close that he walked right into him when the big man stopped in his tracks.

"What the hell?" Jack muttered and looked around to see they were surrounded by at least a dozen jaffa and by the looks of the ribbon device pointed at them, one smug faced gou'ald. "Shit."

Sam and Daniel had their hands up, Carter's P-90 dangling uselessly from her vest. One of the jaffa moved toward Daniel. Before Jack could fully process what he was seeing Carter darted forward and grabbed the ribbon device on the gou'ald's relaxed arm.

Not expecting this move the gou'ald was too slow to maintain possession of his device. Teal'c and Jack fired on the jaffa closest to them. The gou'ald's eyes flashed in his rage and he lunged at Sam. She managed to sidestep him but was struck in the side by the butt of a staff weapon. Sam had the air knocked out of her and dropped to a knee. The gou'ald was on her in a flash. He grabbed her arm, twisting and ripping the ribbon device from her grasp. Sam couldn't stop the scream as she felt her arm break.

Jack and Teal'c stopped at the sound. The turned to see the gou'ald pick Sam up by her throat. Daniel yelled and tried to help Sam, only to be backhanded and knocked back onto his butt. Jack and Teal'c aimed their weapons at the gou'ald while the jaffa just stood watching and waiting for their god to instruct them.

"Let her go." Jack said through gritted teeth.

The gou'ald just smirked as Sam grabbed at his hand trying to hold herself up while kicking him trying to break his hold.

"And why would I do that?" He asked tilting his head, a curious smile on his lips. "You can not harm me; I am a god!"

"You're right! We can't hurt you, we beg your forgiveness." Daniel slowly stood holding his hands out in front of him. "We humbly ask you to put our friend down."

The gou'ald looked at Sam who was starting to slow down in her struggles then back to the weapons aimed at him.

"Jack, Teal'c, put the guns down." Daniel said, worry for his friend clearly playing across his face.

"Okay! Okay! We give up, just let her go!" Jack shouted as he dropped his P-90 to the ground, hearing Teal'c's staff weapon fall as well. As the weapons hit the ground the jaffa moved in closer to their prisoners.

The gou'ald pulled Sam to his face, sneered, and then threw her into Daniel who was unable to keep them both upright. He looked at Jack, then Teal'c.

"I know you. You are the sholva! Are you the mighty Tauri warriors? I see nothing to fear from you!" Looking toward Flegger "You have done well, you and your people will be rewarded."

"You are gracious Lord Aethor." Flegger said with a bow.

"You son of a bitch!" Jack swore as he moved toward the once friendly man, only to receive a staff weapon strike to the gut.

Jack coughed and glared as the natives moved away happily chatting among themselves. A cry from Sam brought his attention back to their captors. A jaffa had grabbed her by the back of her jacket and had pulled her to her feet. When Jack and Daniel moved to stop the jaffa they where also grabbed.

Aether looked at Teal'c *This Tauri, she was a host?*

Teal'c said nothing.

"What is he saying?" Jack asked.

"He knows Sam was a Tok'ra." Daniel supplied.

Aether spun toward Daniel and his face lit up.

"Damn it Daniel, he sure knows now!" Jack shouted angerly.

Aether laughed; it was an eerie sound. *Bring them* he said as he walked away thinking of the prize that he now possessed.
