Bruce looks at the tactical outfit he had on, now fitted with gauntlets, a cape, the bat symbol, and mask he drew, then at bat-shaped shurikens he made, and finally, a dark yellow belt with pouches on it, and a bat-shaped buckle.

Alfred: "There's a cave that your great grandfather used to hide escaped slaves during the Civil War."

Bruce: "Where is it on the estate?"

Alfred: "Right under the manor, actually."

Alfred: "I believe there's secret entrances for it around the house, including this room."

Alfred opens the closet, then a secret door in it that was hiding an old elevator. The two step onto it.

Bruce: "We have a means of getting out if the elevator collaspses, right?"

Alfred: "I believe so."

Bruce and Alfred step off the elevator, and see a huge cave.

Bruce: "It'll be perfect."

Hours later, Bruce enters the cave, wearing the backpack, and holding a mannequin.

Alfred: "Master Bruce, what's with the mannequin?"

Bruce: "I need a place to keep my outfit."

Bruce puts down the mannequin, takes off the backpack, puts the suit in an armor stand, and looks at his watch.

Bruce: "It's time."

Alfred: "Time for what?"

Bruce: "My patrol."

Bruce puts on the batsuit, gets on the bike, and drives off.

Alfred: "Very well."

Bruce sees a police barricade at a bank, parks a few blocks away, and enters through the back. He walks through the hallway, and sees a thug.

Thug: "What the hell!?"

The thug takes out his gun, but Bruce takes out a batarang, and throws it into the barrel. The thug tries to tackle him, but he catches the man and knocks him out with a right hook to the head. Bruce finds the breaker, and shuts off the power. He makes his way to the lobby, and makes his way to the lobby. A thug that wasn't in the room manages to turn the power back on. Back at the lobby, only one thug remains.

Thug: "Huh!?"

The thug grabs a hostage and aims his gun at them.

Thug: "Don't move, or I'll shoot her!"

Bruce stands there, not sure what to do. The hostage looks at the man in the bat costume, terrified of both him and the thug. Smoke fills up the room, the thug tries to pull the trigger, but feels the gun leave his hand and the hostage run away. He feels someone uppercut him, and he falls out the smoke. The man looks into it, and is terrified by the giant bat silhouette with white eyes.

Thug: "Who are you!?"

Bruce: "I am Vengeance."

Bruce approaches him.

Bruce: "I am the Knight!"

Bruce grabs the thug.

Bruce: "I am Batman!"

The thug's eyes, the only parts of his face not hidden by the mask, show visible fear.

Batman: "Tell everyone you see that Gotham is now under my protection!"

He pins the man to the wall via batarangs, and dissapears into the smoke as cops burst in, lead by a Lieutenant James Gordon Sr.

Gordon: "GCPD, free-!"

The cops see all the thugs already taken care of, and see the one pinned to the wall.

Thug: "H-h-he called himself Batman.."

Cops take the thug off the wall, cuff him, and walk out.

Gordon: "We now have a new vigilante in Gotham.."
