Pauline sighed as she left New Donk City hall. She'd left early, having important stuff to do. It was the last day of moving day.
She and Daisy had been dating for about seven months, and Daisy was moving in. While Daisy still had her castle in Sarasaland, the princess had wanted to move in with Pauline in the city. Paulie was over the moon at the idea. Due to Daisy needing to bring most of her stuff with, the two decided to move to a bigger apartment, as Pauline's one bedroom, while large on it's own, felt too small for the couples needs.
They had found the perfect two bedroom apartment. Pauline had gotten her stuff moved in first, at Daisy's suggesting. That way the princess could work on getting her things moved in while Pauline caught up on work.
She got home, and quickly made her way to the new apartment.
"Daisy, I'm ho-" Pauline paused as she went into the apartment. There were some boxes about the living room, but no Daisy.
"Daisy? You here?" Pauline called out. Silence. Maybe Daisy went out for a bit.
Pauline shrugged, setting her purse and keys down on the table. Aside from the boxes, everything was furnished and placed neatly. It looked beautiful, and homey.
Pauline figured she'd help Daisy out and start unpacking the boxes. Taking off her heels, she set them by the door. The she went to the largest of the boxes, reaching to open it.
"BOO!"
Pauline screamed, falling backwards onto the carpet at the the top of the box burst open. She landed on her but, shooting a glare at the brunette who was partially out of the box, laughing hysterically.
"Very funny, Daisy." Pauline said, standing up.
"I'm sorry." Daisy gasped between laughing fits. "I saw your car pulling up through the window, and I couldn't resist." She climbed out of the box.
"You're lucky you're so cute." Pauline said, going over to her girlfriend.
The flower princess smiled smugly. "I know, and I fully intend to keep using it to my advantage."
Pauline shook her head, sighing playfully. "What am I going to do with you?"
"I can think of a few things." Daisy said in a suggestive tone, standing on her toes to wrap her arms around Pauline's shoulders.
Pauline smile, snaking her arms around Daisy's waist. "Mm, enticing. Maybe after we have dinner." She kissed Daisy. "We need to finish unpacking these boxes."
"Fiiiiiine." Daisy drawled out, pouting. "It's just these few. I finished the big one."
"What was in that, anyway?"
"My dresses."
'Sweet stars.' Pauline thought as she looked at the box. It was a good thing they went with a two bedroom. One closet wouldn't have been enough.
Seemingly reading Pauline's mind, Daisy smiled sheepishly, clasping her hands behind her back. "I can get rid of a few."
"No need, Daisy. I know how much you love your dresses. Each one is your 'favorite'."
"It's hard to pick just one to love a lot, okay? They're all really pretty, and I look good in them."
"No argument there."
Daisy giggled. "You're such a flirt."
"Am I?" Pauline asked, placing a hand on her hip. "I remember a certain princess shamelessly flirting with me every chance she got."
"She still does." Daisy placed her hands on Pauline's shoulder. "You can't blame her. You're fun, good at sports, and sexy as hell."
"You are such a useless lesbian." Pauline teased.
"True, but I'm your useless lesbian." Daisy smiled.
"And you better not forget it." Pauline grinned, pulling Daisy into another kiss. "Now, boxes."
