John awoke in his bed, shaken awake by Sombra in her pjs. "What?!" he yelled, before realizing he was covered in a cold sweat and saw Amélie standing near the doorway in her nightgown absolutely terrified.

"You were yelling in your sleep, Punto!" Sombra yelled at him. "Sounded like you were fighting someone in here. The Chika heard you and came to me for help."

"I'm... I'm sorry." he apologized catching his breath.

"Are you alright?" Amélie asked as she carefully walked to the foot of his bed.

"I don't know... What day is it?" he asked, looking between both of the women.

"It's like three a.m. December twenty third." Sombra said as she started walking to the door, causing him to groan.

"The anniversary of my mother's death." he grumbled as he layed back down on his bed, not noticing Sombra stop just shy of the doorway.

"Mierda, just before Christmas, Loco?" She asked.

"Yeah, helluva present, wasn't it?" he tried joking. "Best of all I got a front row seat to the whole show."

"Maldito infierno!" Sombra exclaimed as Amélie nodded in rememberance. "You had to watch that? How old even were you?"

"All of six years old." he said, causing Sombra to turn fully to look at him. "And a few weeks earlier my father died in the Omnic Crisis on the front lines. Ever since I've had nightmares on the anniversary of her death. I just have been so busy I forgot it was coming up..." he admitted.

"No wonder you're so screwy, Loco!" Sombra exclaimed.

"I've heard his stories of his childhood and I know quite well they don't get much better." Amélie explained as she pulled John into a hug holding his head into hers.

"Mierda..." Sombra mumbled. "Did they get the guy who killed her?"

"They couldn't. I killed him a month later with McCree's and Ashe's help." he explained as he pulled away from Amélie for a moment to look at the Hispanic hacker.

"And I thought my childhood was bad..." she mumbled before leaving the room to return to bed.

"I'm sorry. Are you alright?" he asked Amélie who pulled him back into her grasp.

"I forgot about your nightmares, but I'm glad you're alright." she replied.

"Well 'alright' is a bit of a stretch. Let's just go with uninjured." he joked.

"Do you want me to stay with you?" she asked him, getting a silent nod in response, as his face seemed to fall from his joyful facade. She pushed him onto his side then walked around to the other side of the bed, climbing in and holding him tightly from behind, pulling the covers overtop them.

"Thank you." he whispered to her as she pulled him tightly to herself.

"I have nightmares too. Mostly of the things I did while under the control of Talon." she explained.

"Sounds like we both need a shrink." he grumbled, feeling her shift slightly as she nodded and hummed in agreement before the both of them slowly returned to sleep.
