"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the hottest show on TV... or should I say... on the internet! That's right, buckle up because Total Drama is back, in a new format, but more brutal than ever!"
A short man with black hair is seen standing in front of what appears to be a heavily worn and abandoned train station, waving to the camera.
"Many things have changed, but I stay the same! This is Chris McLean speaking, and for the past few seasons, I've been stuck on that disgusting island. But now, our stage will be..."
The camera zooms out, revealing the landscape of a traditional Japanese city.
"The whole world! Right now, I'm in Kyoto, Japan, waiting for the new contestants who will accompany us for three months. This time, they won't just compete for money; they'll give it their all to win a scholarship to the university of their choice! That's right, Total Drama fulfilling dreams."
At that moment, Chris drags the camera to a couple of teenagers, hugging them tightly. Both teens are wearing the program's intern uniform: the first is a small girl with black hair, around 18 years old, with a stressed expression on her face. The second teen has fluffy black hair and a panicked expression. Both resemble Chris McLean.
"This time, I'll be joined by two new stars, audience, let me introduce you to my precious kids: Emma and Chris Jr."
"Dad, let go already," Emma mutters, rolling her eyes in frustration.
"Y-You're... You're suffocating me..." says Chris Jr, trying to free himself from the presenter's embrace.
"Sorry, sorry. It's just that I haven't seen them in a while." Chris finally lets them go and pushes them out of the frame. "Uh, just in time! The bus carrying our victims has arrived! Be careful; some of them just came off a 12-hour flight; they might not be in a good mood."
A worn and rusty bus moves as best it can, with a taped program logo on its side. Soon, the bus stops, and its doors swing wide open.
"The first to step off is a very handsome guy with Asian features and impressive muscles. He's wearing an amber-colored sleeveless V-neck under a denim jacket, cargo pants, and dark brown sneakers. To complete the look, he sports a pair of fingerless leather gloves.
"Ladies and gentlemen, our first contestant is Liam!"
- Introduction Video -
Liam — (The video shows the guy in the gym, lifting weights) I'm Liam Wong! My motto? Play hard and win clean! Total Drama is super dangerous, and that's why it's great for me to compete! Not to brag, but nothing stops me, and I don't get scared easily. So, I want to throw my hat into the ring and see how far I could go!
"Looking good, Liam" says the presenter, squeezing the hand of the Asian guy, receiving a strong and energetic handshake.
"Thanks, Chris! This place is awesome!" Liam says, looking around with enthusiasm. "Where do we sleep?"
"That's for later; first, we have to meet the Party Beast: Harlan!"
Off the bus comes a tall and slim guy, standing at 6'1. He has shaggy, wavy, chin-length caramel brown hair, and his eyes are piercing hazel green. He wears a gray long-sleeved Henley, loose-fit jeans, moss green track shoes, and completes his outfit with a white beanie.
- Introduction Video -
Harlan — I'm Harlan Gray, and I think I would be a great fit for your show because I can fit into any setting with a snap of a finger.
(A blond jock walks over as they film and bellows)
"Yo Harlan! Killer party last night!"
"Just like any other party, Brad!" (He calls out. He then gets closer to the camera and says in a hushed tone) "They don't know it, but these people drive me NUTS. I'd do anything to get away and meet some newbies for a change."
"Stand next to Liam, Harlan. Something tells me you two will be good friends."
"Cool," says Harlan calmly, leaving his things in front of Liam. "Hey, nice jacket."
"Thanks, it's my favorite!" Liam offers a high-five to Harlan, which he accepts. Liam grips firmly, and Harlan responds with an even tighter grip. "I like your spirit!"
"Our next contestant comes from Madrid, Spain... give a warm welcome to Kira!"
A girl of average to tall stature emerges from the bus. She has light blonde hair with curly locks in the front, a small ponytail in the back, and her eyes are dark yellow. She has white skin, and her body is close to an hourglass shape. She wears a simple tight red velvet bodycon dress and orange sandals.
- Introduction Video -
Kira — (Lights turned on a stage where Kira poses magnificently. She dances elegantly to the rhythm of flamenco until accidentally falling off the stage.) "F**K!"
"Hello, everyone," says the girl, elegantly descending from the bus. "Nice to meet you; my name is Kira, and yours?"
The girl greets Chris by kissing him on both cheeks, leaving him stunned by her question.
"Well... Chris McLean, who else?"
"Oh, I didn't know; I guess you're the host with your very generic outfit, right?"
"Pardon?"
"Buddy, have you never seen the show?" Harlan asks.
"I've never seen it, but I heard they were holding auditions, and I couldn't resist auditioning," explains Kira.
"I only picked you because I've tasted your mom's pastries, and let me tell you, I love them," Chris admits.
"That would explain why you're such a sweetie!" a guy who steps off the bus remarks. He's quite tall, standing at 6 feet, with short, brown, gelled hair, pale skin, and an athletic body. He's wearing black trainers, blue farmer jeans, and a black T-shirt.
"Ugh, Kevin, could you stop saying gross things for a second?" Another girl comes down behind him. She has long blonde hair with a dark green hair tie, equally pale, and looks quite athletic. She wears black flat buckle shoes, black stockings, a green skirt with gray stripes, a white blouse with a green neck scarf, and a black vest.
"Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce the Fitch siblings: Kevin and Charlie!"
- Introduction Video -
Charlotte — "Good day, my precious listeners." (Charlie greets the watchers while drinking tea) "My name is Charlotte Fitch, and I think I am the perfect candidate for winning Total Drama. I mean, I'm perfectly capable. I am pretty, smart, full of dignity, and the most popular lady in my high school."
(Then, her brother Kevin bursts onto the scene and pushes her aside)
Kevin — "If you're looking for the most popular person in school, that's me, Kevin! I'm strong, handsome, and super cool!"
(Charlie returns to the scene and snatches the camera from her brother).
Charlotte — "Stop! You're ruining my audition!"
"It's great to finally meet the great Chris McLean; you look even more handsome than on TV!" Charlotte approaches Chris and greets him, while Kevin ignores the man and tosses his suitcase along with the others.
"Thanks! See, Kira? That's how you greet a celebrity."
"Pedro, have you picked up my suitcases already?" Charlie shouts, turning towards the bus.
"I'm on my way, Miss Charlotte!" A tall and slender African man steps off the bus. His face is smoothly shaved, and he has straight black hair combed to the right side. He wears black sports shoes, dark blue pants, a blue formal jacket with a white undershirt, and a tie of the same color. There's a rose on the left pocket of his shirt and a white handkerchief on the right one.
"Everyone, meet Pedro Fabiani!" Chris McLean announces.
- Introduction Video -
Pedro — (The scene opens with Pedro sitting at a table. First, he drinks a cup of tea and then takes a deck of cards that he begins to shuffle. There's also a chessboard on the table.)
''Hello, sir, I'm Pedro Manuel Fabiani Lopez. It's always an honor to meet someone like you. Maybe you can think, what can I add to your uncivilized and dramatic show? Well, that, civilization. You know, I don't tolerate traps or deceptions. If you look for manners in crazy times, look for m...'' (He accidentally throws the glass, and all the liquid is now on the table. Pedro closes his eyes to calm down.) "... me... three point one four one five..."
"Thank you, Pedro, you make me believe that chivalry still exists," says Charlotte, watching as the African guy places both their suitcases with the others.
"It's what a gentleman does, Miss Charlotte."
"You're super sweet!" Kira exclaims, joining her hands.
"You look like a human penguin, cool bro!" Liam says, attempting to give the guy a high-five.
"Oh... I'm sorry." Instead of responding to the high-five, Pedro gives Liam a formal handshake. "A pleasure to meet you, sir..."
"Liam, name's Liam."
"Also in this season, we have Levi!"
Another guy steps off the bus, of average size and slim build. He has black hair in an undercut with a long fringe, green eyes surrounded by black eyeshadow, an anchor beard, a cut on his left eyebrow, and a tattoo of a black crow sitting on top of a dreamcatcher. He's wearing a white beanie, a half red-half white flannel shirt with the right sleeve missing, black ripped jeans, and black Converse shoes. To finish his outfit, he has a black hoodie tied around his waist and a pair of black headphones around his neck.
- Introduction Video -
Levi — (In the background, a dark blue wall with shelves full of vinyl records and various albums can be seen, along with a few vinyl records nailed to the walls. A pop-punk song can be heard playing.)
"Why hello there, Total Drama. I am Levi, and I want to participate in the next season of Total Drama so that I can broaden my horizons and learn how to be a better writer. Plus, the money prize looks really good. See you soon, hopefully, so that I can post on my Tumblr page about my excitement to be on TV. Byeee!"
"Hi, guys," Levi says.
"Ugh, 2014 called; they want their Hipster outfit back," Charlotte puts her index finger to her mouth, pretending to vomit.
"Mean Girls called; they want Regina George back," Levi responds, ignoring everyone and leaving his suitcase.
"Thanks, Regina George is a great role model," Charlotte says proudly.
"Hey, man." Harlan approaches Levi and offers a fist bump. "Matching beanies."
Levi looks at Harlan's beanie and confirms that it's the same as his.
"That's pretty cool. Is it from Hot Topic too?"
"I don't know; it just appeared in my closet one day."
The two guys laugh and watch the next person descend from the bus.
This time, a guy of average height with some extra weight steps off the bus. He has curly brown hair and hazel eyes, wears glasses, and is dressed in a pink shirt beneath a gray jacket with an anime logo on the front of the shirt and a different one on the back of the jacket. He also wears dark gray pants and black sneakers.
"That's Harvey, guys!" Chris McLean announces.
- Introduction Video –
Harvey — "Welcome... to the home of Harvey Davidson!" (He puffs out his chest with a proud grin, adjusting his glasses with a cocky smirk.)
"I'm what you'd call a man of culture," (the weeb explains, pointing towards the various anime merch around the room) "Somebody who knows all about what really matters - anime."
"I can't believe I'm finally in Japan! Thank you, Chris." The boy says, excitedly stepping off the bus. Then, he looks at the entrance of the vehicle. "Come on, Ryuuko, you have to give me a tour! Although I doubt you can show me anything about Japan that I don't know!"
"In fact, it's my first time in this city..." says a second guy stepping off the bus with hands in his pockets. The guy has sharp, clearly Asian features and two black studs in his ears. He has black hair, with part of the front half dyed royal blue. He's wearing a black fitted tank top, a royal blue racer-like jacket, black cargo pants, and a blood-red belt.
"You're Japanese and don't know Kyoto? But it's the predilect destination for school trips in all animes; any man of culture would know that!"
"For the last time dork, I studied in San Francisco, not in Japan."
"I want to introduce you to our bad boy, straight from Japan: It's Ryuuko!"
- Introduction Video -
Ryuuko — (The sky is pitch black, with the only light coming from stray street lamps shining down on a motorbike in the lot. Ryuuko is seen leaning on the bike.)
"It's good now, go," a woman calls out from behind the camera.
"I think this was a mistake."
"Hey!" The woman snaps. "You can't run forever, take it from me."
The man sighs, turning back to the camera with a face of determination. "Fine. Hey, I'm Roy- No. Ryuuko. Ryuuko Takahashi," he introduces, face-palming at himself.
"Uh, a bad boy? I love rebels," says Kira with a playful smile.
"I... Nevermind," says Ryuuko, standing with the rest of the competitors.
Then another person gets off the bus. This time, it's a girl with a refined and arranged face, pasty white skin, standing at 5'4, with long black hair that goes straight down to her back and green slanted eyes. She has several piercings on the nose and lower lip, wears blue lipstick, and black eyeliner. She's in a black unisex t-shirt with fireballs on it, skinny jeans, white socks, and black boots.
"Also in this season: Lucy!"
"How you doin'?" greets the girl without much emotion, walking straight towards the other contestants.
- Introduction Video -
Lucy — (Someone behind the camera starts talking) "Come on Lucy. Introduce yourself."
"Hello. My name is Lucy Holiday. I'm a fun-loving person who likes death metal, kickboxing, and..." (Before Lucy could continue, she's interrupted)
"Woah! Woah! Woah! Since when have you been taking lessons in kickboxing?"
"I got a little nostalgic, so I picked her because she kinda looks like Gwen from the OG seasons," explains Chris.
"Wow! She does look like her!" Liam points out.
"But you're prettier, girl, don't worry," says Kira.
"Ugh, thanks," Lucy seems to appreciate it reluctantly, as she has a clear expression of frustration.
"Here come our two Latina girls: Celia and Sophia," announces Chris McLean.
The first girl to step off has a caramel tan and is quite tall, measuring 6'1. She has long black hair and eyes of the same color. She's wearing a neat, ironed purple blazer with a red tie, a khaki skirt that goes down to about the length of her knees, green tennis shoes, and light brown pantyhose covering her legs.
"Pleasure to meet you all, fellow competitors! I'm looking forward to working with all of you and growing our camaraderie! My name is Sophia Villanueva."
- Introduction Video -
Sophia — (Patriotic music starts to play. Suddenly, an image of Sophia with an American flag in the background pops up on the screen.)
"Brave, bold, confident." A voice says. "These are a few of the words that can be used to describe Sophia. As the class president of Pembroke High four years in a row, she has worked to reduce the price of school lunches, made sure that the bathrooms are spotless, and made sure that the teachers have given her less homework. Also, she is the manager of Swell Mart, so you know she's a good leader. She kisses babies and saves puppies from burning buildings in her spare time. Sophia, a leader we can count on."
"I am Sophia and I approve this message."
"Ugh, you haven't said anything and I already know you've got a stick up your ass," Kevin says, rolling his eyes.
"I totally disagree; Sophia's expanded dialect gives the show a bit more... elegance," Pedro interrupts.
"Thanks, compatriot! That's the attitude I need from all of you!" Sophia explains.
"Why is she talking like she's a boring politician?" Levi asks.
"Maybe she is" Ryuuko says, crossing his arms.
"I'm not, but I plan to be." Sophia mentions.
"Excuse me! I'm getting off!" A second girl rushes off the bus, pushing Sophia aside. She's a short girl, with slightly curvy and fit build, bronze skin, wavy black hair reaching her shoulder blades, and brown eyes. She wears a dark red leather biker jacket over a white crop top, ripped light wash jeans, and black boots. She also has a pair of dark sunglasses on top of her head.
"Hey! I'm Celia!"
- Introduction Video -
Celia — (The camera opens to Celia in front of a concrete wall, filming herself selfie-style. Some obscene words had been spray-painted on the wall.)
"Dude. You won't believe where I am right now." (She turns away from the wall and flips the camera around, revealing that she was in what looked like some sort of construction site late at night.) "But hey, this place looked kind of boring so I thought I'd brighten it up a little." (Switching the camera to her other hand, she then sprays 'TOTAL DRAMA' on the wall beneath all of the swear words, and underlines it a few times for good measure.)
"The name's Celia, and what I'm up to right now? Loitering, trespassing, vandalism, call it what you want, but I call it fun.
"And here we have our rebel spirit, Celia!"
"Pleasure to meet you guys! Too bad I'm gonna wreck you in the game!" Celia goes around greeting each contestant with a high-five. Everyone receives it except for Charlie, who seems displeased to greet her.
"Next up: let me introduce you to Mackenzie!" Chris announces. But no one gets off the bus; finally, a guy with a look of embarrassment appears.
He's tall and slim, measuring 6'2. He has long, wavy, and fluffy brown hair, olive-green eyes, and a face with distinct features adorned with freckles. He wears a white dress shirt under a gray sweater, paired with oversized black jeans and white sneakers. He sports thin, round, framed glasses.
- Introduction Video -
Mackenzie — (The recording is happening through the crack of a door. On the other side is Mackenzie, who is slightly moving some clay figurines and taking photos with each movement.)
"And here we have the ultimate nerd, my brother" (says a childish and feminine voice)
"Sarah, please shut up. I'm trying to do my stop-motion movie and... Wait, are you filming me?" (Mackenzie realizes the recording and starts chasing the person who is filming, pursuing her until he finally snatches the camera.)
"Uhhh... I'm Mackenzie, and... I'm really sorry. I normally don't chase people, and... uh, forget it, I just... want to get into the show; I'm a Total Drama nerd."
"Uh... Sorry, I overslept," says Mackenzie, getting off the bus slowly.
"Don't worry, man. That plane ride would kill anyone," Harlan says.
"I-Is it okay if I leave my stuff here?" Mackenzie asks, pointing to where everyone is piling their suitcases.
"No, it's not okay," Harlan says with apparent total seriousness, to which Mackenzie responds with a embarrassed look. Then, Harlan starts laughing and gives him a pat on the shoulder. "Just kidding, buddy, of course you can."
"Uh, you almost gave me a heart attack," Mackenzie laughs nervously and leaves his suitcases on the floor.
"Mackenzie isn't a girl's name?" Kevin asks, raising an eyebrow.
"My mom chose the name before knowing if i was a boy or a girl, so... Yes. Just call me Mac," says the guy, cleaning his glasses.
Another girl steps off the bus; she's small, standing at 5'2, with light brown skin, a round face, almond-shaped blue eyes, long brown hair in locs, and freckles on her cheeks. She wears a white t-shirt underneath a dark blue sweater vest, brown pants, and blue sneakers. Glasses with a silvery frame adorn her face, and she has a silver necklace with a sapphire charm shaped like a diamond.
"Hello," she says dryly.
"How's it going, Jennifer? Ready to win the contest?" Chris asks, greeting the girl.
"Well, that's why I came, isn't it?"
- Introduction Video -
Jennifer — (The tape opens on Jennifer doing some schoolwork. She looks over at the book, tracing her finger underneath a passage, before writing something down on her paper.) "Hello there. My name is Jennifer Anderson, and I wish to compete on Total Drama."
She works more on her homework as she continues. "I feel as though I would do well and get very far on the show, as I am highly intelligent and good with planning. While I am not physically strong, I do feel as though my intellect and cleverness could more than make up for it. I suppose this could be a good chance to make some friends as well…"
Another large and chubby guy quickly steps off the bus; he has long bright ginger hair and a goatee. He's wearing black squarish glasses and an orange jumpsuit with white lines.
"And here we have AJ!"
- Introduction Video -
AJ — "I'm Aaron, but ya'll can call me AJ. Anyways, I thought I should audition for this new season of Total Drama cause, well, I admit I'm not exactly the strongest person nor the bravest, but I do like being nice to people. Plus, I do know a lot about the paranormal, so maybe I can leave some of my knowledge onto the other competitors." (Suddenly, what sounds like a kid's giggle echoes through the building, making Aaron shake.) "W-What was that?!" (a loose board falls from the ceiling, making him scream and run away, grabbing the camera with him as it ends.)
"Sorry for being late; I was just preparing. Japan is one of the most paranormal-active places in the world," explains AJ, carrying a bunch of heavy bags off the bus.
"What's all that you're carrying?" Liam asks.
"Well, my ghostbuster equipment, of course!"
"Oh, love that movie," Mac points out.
"I'm sorry, dude, but you're no longer the ultimate nerd," Kevin says, looking at Harvey. "I mean, what's wrong with your hair?"
"My hair?" AJ asks, putting his hands to his head.
"It's red, you look like a frickin' clown! Do you want a big red nose too?"
AJ just covered his hair with his hands and remained embarrassedly silent.
Then, everyone watched as someone tried to descend the bus stairs but tripped and fell quickly, rolling a couple of inches before stopping.
Celia ran at full speed to help the fallen person.
It turned out to be a really thin and short girl; she had messy jet-black hair partly in pigtails. She had tan skin, light brown eyes, wore a solid black T-shirt a bit too large for her, a black skirt, and white sneakers that were dirtied.
"Are you okay? You have to watch where you step! I have a motorcycle, but I've never seen anything roll as fast as you," Celia says, laughing at her own terrible joke.
"Oh, yeah, thank you so much! I'll keep that in mind!" the girl says, smiling with pure excitement as she sees Celia, then turns to the rest of the contestants. "Oh! Many new friends! Nice to meet you all; I'm Gretchen!"
- Introduction Video -
Gretchen —(Gretchen adjusts the camera, and it tilted nearly ninety degrees.) "Perfect! Hi! I'm Gretchen!" she says enthusiastically. "I want to be on your show! I heard that it has a lot of people on it, and that means I can be their friend! I really want to go all over the place and meet people because I think it could be super fun!"
(A rock flies into the open window, missing Gretchen by an inch. She doesn't even notice it) "Well...um, I guess that's it! Bye!" (She goes to turn off the camera but trips on the rock and slams onto the ground.) "Wow, that was so weird... How did a rock get in here?" (As she goes to turn off the camera, it tilts itself back to a perfectly straight shot before turning off.)
"Duuuuude, this place is cool AF!" says another guy getting off the bus, he's the tallest so far, measuring 6'4. He has medium length brown wavy hair tied in a small bun. He wears a black button-up shirt with a pink undershirt, black skinny jeans, white shoes, and a black backward cap.
"With you... Spencer!"
- Introduction Video -
Spencer — "He's a very 'lax dude with a whole lotta 'tude!" (A very exaggerated voice that's trying so hard to sound like a sports commentator says as the screen fades in to show a cardboard cut out in front of the camera that read 'And Your Winner Of Total Drama Express Tour is...' before a hand reaches over and pulls the cardboard out of the way to reveal Spencer.)
"It's Spencer Dominguez! The man who's boutta win the big one! In your face Dad… and the very mean grocery store owner on 45th." (He says that last part in a hushed voice looking sort of embarrassed.)
"Yo! Can you believe that I'm here because I had a dream about this? And this' exactly like that! This is trippin'!"
"Yup, I totally believe you," Chris says, high-fiving him. "Please go with the other contestants Spence; we're almost done with presentations."
"Cool!" The guy walks languidly towards the contestants, but suddenly puffs out his chest and starts walking shaking his shoulders. "Wassup, ladies!"
Most of the girls ignore Spencer: Jennifer is too busy jotting something down in a small notebook, Sophia is standing with crossed arms looking at the ground, Charlie impatiently looks at her nails, and Gretchen is too busy playing with her hair.
The next person to step off the bus is the shortest so far, measuring only 5 feet. She has straight blonde hair that reaches just below her neck. Her skin is white, and her eyes are blue. She wears a lime green spaghetti strap top, denim shorts, and pink sneakers.
"Hey, everyone! I'd like to introduce Barbara!"
"Hello, everyone! Nice to meet you! I can't believe I'm on Total Drama!" says the girl, bouncing on her toes. "Was my entrance okay, Chris?"
"Calm down; I've seen worse," says Chris. Barbara clearly gets disheartened and walks with crossed arms toward where the rest of the contestants are gathered.
- Introduction Video -
Barbara — "Hello there everyone!" (she greets with much excitement and power in her voice.) "I am Barbara Preston, the most popular and most adored girl in my school."
(She twirls around and then gives a little curtsy.) "I have no doubts about my chances to be on this show. I am what they call, reality TV gold! I'm a star in the making, and you probably already can tell just from looking at me!"
"Pass!" shouted a female voice from the bus.
Then, from the bus, a purple duffel bag comes flying, inches over Gretchen's head without her noticing, and finally lands on the pile of backpacks.
"Nobody caught that? Huh." The girl grumbled as she descended from the bus with a furrowed brow. She has an athletic and well-trained body, with several tattoos around her body, although the only clearly visible one is a skull on her left wrist. She has short and messy pale blonde hair and purple eyes. She's wearing a black and violet sweater, a purple T-shirt, blue jeans, and black boots.
"Ladies and gentlemen, meet Sam!"
- Introduction Video -
Sam — "Hello, I'm Samantha, and I really don't like doing this audition tape. I actually didn't want to apply to this show; my stupid brother signed me up. But I'll do everything to win." (Sam says, arms crossed).
"Ugh, aren't we too many people?" Sam asks, analyzing the rest of the competitors.
"What's wrong, Princess? Does it make you nervous having so many people?" Kevin mocks. Sam doesn't seem to like it at all and walks quickly toward him. She grabs the collar of his shirt and looks at him threateningly.
"Look, moron, don't make me punch you so early in the show." Finally, she lets go of Kevin and turns her back on him.
"Whatever... Jesus."
"Speaking of princesses, let me introduce Corey Lovelace!"
A girl gets off the bus wearing a light blue quarter-sleeve blouse that goes to her mid-thighs over a pair of black leggings and light pink laced flats. She has long blonde hair tied into a half ponytail and green eyes.
"Hello, everyone. It's nice to meet you," says the girl softly.
- Introduction Video -
Corey — (The camera opens on Corey playing the piano in a lavish sitting room) "Nothing like some music to brighten up your day." (Corey gives the camera a soft smile.) "Hello, I am Cordelia Lovelace, but please call me Corey. I am sure you're wondering why I would want to join your show considering the state of my home. Well, that's because I consider myself a challenge enthusiast."
"Wow, you're like a real-life doll," says Kira, giving Corey a smile.
"Oh, thank you very much." Every movement and word she utters reflects grace and elegance; it's as if she's floating through the entire place.
"Wow," says Spencer, with his mouth slightly open.
"Finally, to close the cast for this season... Ashley!"
A tall and lanky girl with olive skin and gray, almond-shaped eyes descends from the bus. Her hair is in a pixie cut, dyed red and black. She wears a purple t-shirt with a silvery skull underneath a black leather jacket, torn jeans, black combat boots, a black choker with silver spikes, and black fingerless gloves. She's carrying a black guitar case on her back.
—Introduction Video—
Ashley — "'Sup, all of you producer people! My name is Ashley Jacometti, and I wanna be on Total Drama: Express Tour!"
(She casually begins to tune her guitar as she talks.)
"For some background, I'm from NYC and am an aspiring rockstar. I wanna get on this show because that cash and scholarship could really change my life! And…well, my mom runs an Italian restaurant here. She does really well with it, but it's getting busier, and she needs more help. If I got on the show, it could really help with getting more employees for my mom's restaurant."
"As for strengths," Ashley says, tapping her chin, "I'm really good with other people, can run super fast, and can win any fight on this side of Manhattan! Plus, I can play a sick guitar!" (For emphasis, Ashley plays a quick riff on her guitar.)
"Sup' suckers!" Shouted Ashley, making the Rock and Roll sign with her hands and sticking out her tongue, showing a silver stud.
"Thanks for coming, Ashley, I see you come well-equipped!"
"Thanks, idiot!" Ashley says, laughing. She slaps the presenter on the back and walks toward the rest of the contestants.
"And with that, we close the cast! Twenty-one contestants fighting for half a million dollars! Excited?" Some people cheered 'yes' in response to Chris's question. "Anyone have questions?"
Kevin raises his hand.
"Yes, Kevin?"
"Why are there more girls than guys?"
"Why would you care?" Celia asks, with a confused smile.
Chris starts counting the contestants one by one, squinting his eyes.
"Hmm, it's strange. The production told me there would be more guys than girls. Whatever, who cares?"
"Dad, the train's about to arrive, should we start loading the suitcases?" Emma, Chris's daughter, returns running, looking tired.
"Sure," Chris says.
"Excuse me!" Kevin interrupts. "Chris, you didn't tell me such a cutie was coming to the show."
"That's my daughter, Kevin," Chris completely changes his expression, going from his presenter's smile to a murderous glare.
"Yeah, so what?"
Then, just in time to save Kevin, the rattling of a locomotive is heard in the distance. By the time the noise ceases, the contestants are dazzled by the arrival of an elegant and luxurious vintage-looking train, gleaming in the Japanese sun.
"Contestants, I present to you the new and powerful... McLean Express!"
Several contestants approach the train, amazed. Spencer even hugs the train.
"Dude... It's so shiny; I can see my reflection!"
"Let's give you a little tour, shall we?" Chris says, inviting the contestants to enter.
The contestants enter one by one through the third wagon: they find a beautiful living room with all kinds of luxuries, from a Jacuzzi to a workout room, with a beautiful chandelier on the ceiling.
"This is the Luxury wagon!"
"So... Is this where we'll be sleeping?" Celia asks, excited.
"What? Hm, we'll get to that."
They quickly pass through wagon 4, 5, and 6, three almost identical wagons where there were two cubicles with bunk beds and a small living room for each. They didn't come close to the level of luxury that the other had.
"These will be the wagons where you'll sleep and have the rest of your basic needs... Continuing."
The group reaches wagon 7, a simple wagon with a kitchen and a group of tables for 4 people; Chris didn't have to explain that this was the dining wagon. In wagon 8, you can start to see the deterioration of some walls; it was clear that the level of luxury was decreasing. It only had a few tables, sofas, and a library.
"This is the common room! Here you can come to socialize for a while, talk about life, and fight: anything for ratings. You'll also have the confessional around here if anyone wants to give it a try."
Confessional
(The confessional is a small cleaning closet with a wooden chair and a camera taped to the wall.)
Harlan — I feel like this place is going to be my best friend.
Spencer — This place is incredible! It's so luxurious, and all the girls are cute... Nothing like my hood.
Mac — I had heard that the show had a new producer, but... I never imagined something like this. This is so Not-Total Drama.
Corey — It's not my intention to offend, but... The casting for this season is kinda strange, isn't it? But well, I really need the prize.
Levi — First impressions? Chris is still the same idiot as years ago; everyone seems quite unpleasant. Except that guy Harlan, his taste in fashion is impeccable.
Gretchen — I can't believe I'm here! Everyone is great. And did you see? I already made my first friend: Celia helped me get up; we're already super close!
Harvey — I hope the prescribed fate of this train is to show me the wonders necessary to design my magnum opus!
Ashley — The only disappointment of this season is having to share the train with Chris; we should riot and steal it!
Celia — Dad! Mom! I'm on the funny TV show! For now, my priority is to decorate my bedroom with an artistic mural. Maybe 'F***Chris' can work.
"And on the other side, we have wagon 9, better known as the Shame Wagon! This is where, after a challenge, someone from the losing team will be eliminated."
"And is that all?" Barbara asks; Chris nods in response to her question, and everyone returns, whispering among themselves, to the third wagon.
"And this, the third wagon, will be the home of the team that wins the challenge of the day. So if you want to sleep here, get to work! Any questions?" Only Levi raises his hand.
"Okay, but... How are the teams decided?"
"Good question, my Hipster friend. Liam, Harlan, Kira, I introduced you three first because in a totally random draw, you were chosen to be captains of the three teams this season!"
"Let's go!" Liam shouts, throwing a fist in the air with excitement.
"Excuse me, Chris, but... why are we forming teams?" Kira asks.
"For the challenges, duh," Kevin responds.
"Oh, I didn't know we'd have challenges."
"Have you never seen Total Drama?" Barbara asks.
"No, I really never have."
Confessional
Mac — Poor girl, they're going to eat her alive.
Ryuuko — I've never seen the show either. Is it really that bad?
"You three will be in charge of choosing your teammates and leading the teams, both outside and inside the challenges," Chris explained.
"But that's not right; a true leader should be chosen democratically." Sofia complains.
"But now it's dedocracy. This way's funnier, don't worry! If you do not like your captain, you can always vote them out," Chris explained.
"B-But... Democracy." Sophia looks visibly distressed.
Confessional
Sophia — What happened to the country I loved so much?
After some brief explanations and more drawings, the team selection began. The first turn was for Kira, then Harlan, and finally Liam.
"Don't worry, girl, I'll take you on my team," Kira says, pointing at Sophia. The girl doesn't seem very happy, but she walks with her arms crossed behind her new captain.
"I choose Levi, Team Beanie," Harlan chooses.
"I'll take the Japanese guy!" Liam says. "You remind me of a famous actor... Mackenzie was his name, maybe?"
"Mackenzie is me; you're thinking of Mackenyu," Mac explains.
"Whatever," Ryuuko says.
"I pick Celia."
"Well, I pick the punkie girl." Harlan says, pointing at Ashley.
"Let's go!" Ashley screams.
"I will pick Mackenyu," says Liam, pointing to Mackenzie.
"No, Mackenyu is... Forget it," Mac says, standing in front of Liam.
"I'd like to pick... Corey!"
"Then I'm choosing AJ. I could really use a ghost expert," Harlan says, with a slightly mocking tone.
"I choose the girl who threw the bag; she has good aim." Liam points at Sam.
Kira sees Kevin starting to raise his hand, jumping energetically.
"Me! Me! Me!"
"I choose... The guy with his hand raised."
"Let's go!" Kevin shouted, running towards his new team.
"I'll take the girl who fell off the bus!" Harlan points at Gretchen, who walks happily toward her team.
"The girl with the notebook!" Liam shouts; Jennifer looks up for a moment. She takes the time to carefully analyze her team and finally joins them.
"I choose... Barbara," says Kira.
"Hey, you have to stop choosing girls; we already have too many!" Kevin complains.
"And? Is there a problem?" Celia asks, with a defiant look.
"Well, we'll be at a disadvantage in all the challenges!" Kevin says, making all his teammates look at him angrily.
"Or maybe he just wants guys on his team to get a new boyfriend," Sam says, in a mocking tone.
"You... You! Shut up!" Kevin says, full of rage.
"Shut me up," Sam responds, without even flinching.
"Ooh! Catfight!" Ashley screams, jumping with excitement.
"Okay, okay. Harlan, it's your turn," Chris says.
"I'm going to take... Charlie," says Harlan, shrugging.
"The emo girl!" Liam shouts, pointing at Lucy.
"You didn't learn anyone's name?" The girl asks.
"There are too many names to process; give me a few days." Liam shrugs.
"I will choose Pedro, then," says Kira, finalizing her team.
Harlan starts looking at the two remaining people; on one side is Spencer, who is absentmindedly looking at the sky with a lost expression. On the other side is Harvey, who looks directly at him with a smile.
"I guess I'll take Harvey," says Harlan, resigned.
"I swear you won't regret it!" Harvey shouts.
"So, I guess I'm going with the last guy," says Liam.
"Uh, me?" Spencer asks, with an innocent smile. "Cool!"
"Alright, that leaves us with three teams of seven members each. Now everyone has five minutes to choose their names. I want them to be extra creative."
"So what you're telling us is that you have no ideas for the names?" Levi asks.
"Basically. Start!"
Kira's team gathers in a circle and starts discussing.
"Okay, listen up... Kevin and his bitches!"
"No one here is your bitch, Kevin," Celia says, with a mischievous smile.
"I'd like something more classy," Pedro suggests.
"Please, something that shows elegance but power," Corey adds.
"Hm... I have an idea. Has anyone here watched the old seasons?" Barbara asks. "Looking at the other teams, we're the only team with more girls than guys."
"Oh, that's a thrilling idea you got there!" Celia says, throwing her fist in the air.
On the other hand, in Harlan's team, the discussion was much more heated.
"Screaming Gophers is a terrible name; they were the worst team on the island!" Charlie shouts.
"Did we watch the same season?" Levi questions.
"Team Night Rave! And we have a party every night in our wagon!" Ashley yells.
"I don't think I have the stamina for that..." AJ mutters.
"We should be Team Mugiwara! So we can live up to the greatest crew of all time's name!" Harvey suggests.
"Can you, please, at least speak the same language that we're speaking?" Charlie says, with a displeased expression.
The conversation is entirely different on Liam's team, where after the captain proposed brainstorming, no one said anything. That is until Mac broke the silence.
"So... Do you know Shrek the third?"
"I like where this is going," Spencer says.
"Goddamn..." Lucy and Ryuuko say at the same time, surprised by the coincidence.
"Alright, folks, I want to hear your team names!"
"We are Team Amazons!" Kira shouts; everyone on the team cheers, except for Kevin. A red circular logo with the female symbol appears on the screen.
"Wow, big shoes to fill! Harlan, what about your team?"
"Well... We were still figuring out the details and-"
"We're Team Friendship because we're all really good friends!" Gretchen shouts, interrupting her captain. A green circular logo with two silhouettes hugging appears on the screen.
Confessional
Charlie — Please tell me I'm dreaming and I'm not on a team called like that.
"No, we're not called that," Harlan says quickly, trying to shift attention away from Gretchen.
"Sorry, Harlan, the team has spoken. Finally, Liam."
"How does it go, Mackenyu?"
"Team Alpha Super Awesome Cool Dynamite Wolf Squadron," Mac says without even stuttering.
"Do you really have that memorized?" Jennifer asks, lifting her face from her notebook for the first time.
"Yes, unfortunately," Mackenzie says, with a sad smile.
"I'm sorry, but I think you can't use something that long," Chris says.
"Told you," Lucy says under her breath.
"So we'll just shorten it to Team Alpha," Chris concludes. A blue circular logo with the Greek letter Alpha appears on the screen.
Confessional
Charlie — My Team is simply... Ugh (fakes vomiting)
Celia — I hate to speak on just first impressions, but... My team seems like a possible battlefield of egos.
Lucy — My team is really not that bad... I mean, Liam is a human golden retriever, and the others seem like a bunch of geeks, but... I'd rather be here than with the ghost guy.
Kevin — Weak point: We have only two guys, Pedro and me. Strong point: We have the cutest girls.
"Well, Team Alpha, Team Friendship, Team Amazons. Are you ready for your first challenge?"
"Like... right now?" Barbara asks.
"Of course, you didn't think I flew you all to Japan for nothing, did you?" Chris raises his hand and snaps his fingers. "Junior!"
Chris Jr., who was quite busy carrying suitcases along with his sister, runs at full speed to join Chris.
"¿Yes, pops?"
"The coin"
"O-oh, true"
"What you can see in Junior's hand is a mon, it was Japan's currency from the Kamakura period to the Muromachi period. Your first challenge is to bring me one of these here; you can search all over Kyoto. The only rule is that you can't take money from your own wallets; everything you spend has to be obtained in the city! You have five hours starting from... NOW! RUN!"
All the contestants started running frantically, many not even knowing where to go, just following their captains.
Confessional
Ryuuko — Chris had all his information about the mon wrong, but who am I to interrupt? I'm just Japanese.
AJ — Japan, especially Kyoto, makes my EMF reader go crazy. A lot of concentrated Yokai energy, that gives me a bad feeling.
The members of Team Alpha ran for a while, seemingly going through the city's lower neighborhoods.
"Where are we running to?" Jennifer finally asks, stopping in an alley.
"I don't know, I was just following you because I thought you knew." Spencer says.
"Ryuuko, do you know where we can get one of those things?" Sam asks, seeming to be the least tired in the team.
"Probably in an antique shop or a currency exchange." The Asian guy says dryly.
"More importantly, how much do you think it could be worth? Ancient coins usually have a value according to their age," Mac explains.
"So, we also need to think about how to get money quickly, any ideas, Cap?" Lucy asks, crossing her arms and directing her gaze at Liam. The asian guy raised his index finger to silence Lucy. He was staring fixedly at a poster on the wall written in Japanese.
"Ryuuko, what does it say there?"
"It says... 'Want to earn money? Sumo wrestling match today at 4'... That's in two hours.'"
"It's time to fulfill my dream!" Liam shouts, cracking his knuckles.
Meanwhile, the members of Team Frienship had ended up on the outskirts of the city, very close to the field. The sun was starting to hide due to the height of the bamboo sticks around.
"This place gives me the creeps." AJ is shrunk, holding onto Harlan's shoulders to try to protect himself.
" 'Lax dude, you're going to ruin my shirt."
"Where are we? It seems like there are fewer people every time." Levi points out.
"We're entering the Kameyama bamboo forest." Harvey explains. "If we keep walking, we're most likely to find... Aha!"
In front of them, they found an esoteric-looking shop; they quickly approached the sign.
"Any of you, freaks, know what it says there?" Charlie asks.
"Harvey! It's your time to shine!" Harlan pushes Harvey towards the sign.
"It says antique shop."
"That's our place! Hurray for Harvey!" Ashley shouts, quickly entering the store. Harvey also served as a translator for the conversation with the seller, much to everyone's surprise.
Confessional
Charlie — Ok, maybe having the weird otaku kid in your team isn't that bad after all.
Harvey — Countless hours of watching anime and several paid classes have given me the ability to watch anime without having to read subtitles!
"He says it would be 2200 yen."
"Is that a lot?" Harlan asks.
"Not really, it's like fifteen dollars."
"Pff... We could get that begging in the streets." Levi says, sarcastically.
"What's that I hear? Is it a good idea by any chance?" Ashley says, jumping excitedly.
"Dude, Levi..." Harlan puts his hand on his shoulder. "You're a genius."
"I was clearly being sarcastic." Levi says, looking worriedly at his teammates.
"Let's go, Team Friendship!" Gretchen shouts.
Team Frienship ran back to the city, only for the Amazons, who had been listening to everything from outside the store, to start arguing.
"I suppose none of us has 2200 yen, right?" Sophia asks, receiving a total negative from her team.
"Then let's steal it!" Kevin shouts, hitting his fist against his palm.
"That's a good idea! I like it!" Celia says.
"I don't feel good doing that; it's not fair to the gentleman running the place." Pedro interrupts.
"Calm down! It will just be a quick heist, in and out! Come on, come on, come on!" Celia says, punching the air.
"Not a bad idea; we just need a distraction, good acting skills, and... a lot of luck." Kira correctly assigned the roles; the contestants were ready for the performance.
"Look at that chubby guy? He's nothing compared to you, you know, old man. You're going to hit him in his manly boobs, and you'll take the money," Spencer was motivating Liam, just like a coach in a boxing movie. The captain of Team Alpha was already dressed in the traditional Sumo Mawashi.
"So... if we win, we want the 20,000 yen prize..." Mackenzie and Sam were leading the negotiations, with Ryuuko as a translator, with the organizer a bald man with an '80s villain beard. "What do you want if you win?"
"Those three, forced labor in the laundry for six months." The man points threateningly at Jennifer, Spencer, and Lucy, who were chatting oblivious to the whole issue.
"What? Hey, we could discuss it; we can pay with something else." Mac is quickly interrupted by Sam, who accepts the deal with a handshake.
"Calm down, Liam won't lose."
"Why are you so sure?"
"I see it in his eyes."
The match started quickly, Liam faced a man who tripled him in size and probably weight, who violently attacked him. Liam narrowly dodges it and begins to try to push the other out of the ring.
"Go, Liam!" Lucy, Spencer, and Sam are cheering him on from the stage, which seemed to motivate the guy enough to push his opponent right to the edge of the arena. Liam is covered in sweat and red from all the force he's applying.
It was just when Mackenzie noticed something about the man organizing the fight; as an earring, he had a piece quite similar to a Mon hanging from a thread.
Confessional
Mackenzie - It's not that I didn't trust that Liam guy... But you know, if we lost, they were going to take the girls to do who knows what with them... And Spencer too, of course.
Liam - (With a black eye and a triumphant smile) That man was a worthy enemy, but no one faces me and gets away with it!
Mac approaches Sam and whispers in her ear slowly.
"See that bald guy over there? I need you to distract him for a second."
Sam quickly nods and runs towards the man. They engage in a conversation about the fight, causing the man to be completely distracted, and in a swift movement, Ryuuko takes the Mon.
The fierce battle of Liam is culminating since both are totally exhausted. But the sumo enemy was in worse condition, which made only one charge from William totally disable him and take him out of the circle.
"Let's go!" William shouts, totally exhausted.
"Fine, Caillou, give us the bills!" Spencer claims, going towards the organizer, who resignedly handed over a bundle of bills.
"Good one team! Let's go, Liam." Mackenzie had to pull the guy out of the ring since he kept celebrating his victory with the audience.
Once in the dressing room, Ryuuko showed them the obtained Mon, everyone celebrated the fact that they had won 20,000 yen and possibly would be in first place, so they happily set off for the McLean Express.
"Kimi da yo kimi nanda yo! Oshiete Kuretai!" Harvey, Ashley, and Harlan are in the middle of the street, singing and playing with homemade instruments; in front of them, they had a hat where people were constantly depositing coins, possibly out of pity for Harvey's lamentable singing skills and Harlan and Ashley's terrible Japanese.
On the other side of the street are Gretchen, Levi, and AJ, who had obtained some paper and a pencil from the municipal library and were selling anime drawings made by Harvey of passersby. After a couple of hours of sales, they gather in an alley to count their earnings.
"We have... 800 yen, not bad. The Japanese are very generous!" Ashley says, finishing counting everything in the hat.
"We have 400 yen... We still need 1000, and time won't be enough," Gretchen concludes, after emptying her pockets.
"Only 400? How many drawings did you sell?" Harlan questions.
"Four drawings."
"Were you charging 100 yen per drawing?"
"Hm... Yes, they're not very high-quality drawings; I don't want to rip people off!"
"Aw Gretchen, your heart is so big that blood doesn't reach your brain," Levi says.
"W-Well, I don't know what we're going to do; we still lack a bit less than half, and..." AJ is interrupted by Levi, who noticed something even more important.
"Don't you feel like we're missing someone?" That's when everyone realizes that Charlie had disappeared from the place since they started begging.
"We have to find her! It shouldn't be difficult; she literally stands out a lot among the Japanese!" Harlan leads.
The whole team starts running, looking for Charlie through the streets; it didn't take them long to find her. They arrived at an elegant café and could see her sitting with a quite attractive Japanese guy; they were laughing and having a good time.
"Charlotte? Who the hell is this?" Levi asks, who was the first to find her.
"Ugh, the reality show people have arrived," Charlie rolls her eyes in disdain, then points to her companion. "Guys, I want you to meet Yosuke! He's a whole Asian hottie!"
"Good evening," Yosuke greets them in perfect English. "I was just talking to your friend; she already told me about the show. Do you need help?
Levi changes his expression from anger to happiness.
"Yes, we need about 2000 yen for the challenge; it won't be much trouble, right?"
"Not at all! Anything for Charlie; she's the sweetest girl I've seen. Although I have more than enough money, don't you want something else? We can go for sushi if you like."
Confessional
Levi - I've only known Charlotte for a few hours, but she made it quite clear that she's not "the sweetest girl in the world."
Charlie - Yeah, I know they'll say that leaving my team wasn't the most ethical thing in the world, but not every day a tall, Asian, rich daddy, brand-wearing guy with such beautiful hair invites you to coffee... oh, Yosuke.
"Thank you, but we have little time to finish the challenge; I think the money will be enough." Harlan says.
"Of course, no problem, my friends." Yosuke gives Harlan a few bills, which he quickly puts into his jacket. "Take care, Charlie, I'll see you on TV; call me when you finish the contest, I'll pay for the trips."
"Goodbye... Yosuke." Charlie says goodbye with resignation, still dazed by the charms of the Japanese millionaire. Finally, they head to the antique shop to buy the Mon.
The elderly man attending the antique store is calmly solving a sudoku. Suddenly, he sees a blonde girl with a look of incessant panic on her face entering his store.
"Sir! Help! They're beating up my friend! Help me!" Corey screams, jumping in panic.
The man takes his cane and walks with a wise and intimidating demeanor out of the store, where he finds Kevin pretending to hit Barbara, who is on the ground in a fetal position. The old man looks at them with a raised eyebrow for a while, and in the blink of an eye, he runs after Kevin and delivers a blow to his delicate area, leaving him almost immobile. Then he follows up with a combination of strikes using his cane and legs. Kevin is left on the ground, almost unable to breathe.
Confessional
Kevin - (in pain and holding his groin) I... thought he was just going to yell at me.
Corey - I didn't expect the old man to react like that, but I must admit it was... kind of funny.
The man resumed his walk toward Corey and gave a slight bow, unaware that while he was beating up Kevin, Celia and Kira had entered and stolen a Mon.
"Thank you, sir! You're our hero."
Once the man returns to the store, Corey joins the rest of her team, who were around Kevin waiting for his reaction.
"Yes... That's going to leave a mark..." Celia points out, taking her gaze off the beaten guy and directing it at Corey. "We have the coin. Excellent performance, girl!"
"Thank you! It was so much fun!" Corey says.
"Not for me..." Kevin says, still on the ground.
After a silent celebration, they headed back to the bus.
Chris is seen relaxed at the station, sipping tea and eating sushi with his two sons.
"You see, kids... The key in this place is to have no scruples. When you leave behind all respect for the contestants, that's when you start having fun doing the job."
"But what if someone gets really hurt?" Chris Jr. asks.
"That, little Chris... is the most fun part! Although afterward, you have to take care of them, the momentary satisfaction it brings is unbeatable!" While Chris Jr. stares at his father in horror, Emma seems genuinely interested in what he's saying.
"Speaking of... Here comes the first team!"
Team Alpha is the first to arrive running at full speed. Liam, with a black eye and a swollen cheek, runs towards Chris and shows him the Mon. Chris gives it a quick look and puts it in his pocket.
"Congratulations, Team Alpha! You are the winners of the first challenge of Total Drama: Express Tour! And therefore, you earn a night in the luxury wagon!"
All team members celebrated by fist-bumping and hugging each other. To add to their celebration, the Amazons have just arrived, and they can see how the victory is snatched from their faces.
"What a shame, we were just a few seconds away," laments Pedro, while Celia shows the Mon to Chris.
"And this puts the Amazon team in second place!"
After a couple of minutes, Team Friendship arrives at the meeting point, only to see the other two teams celebrating. The seven members look sadly at the ground.
"And Team Friendship loses the challenge! This would mean they have to send someone home..." Chris keeps the last word in suspense. "But this is a non-elimination round! However, you'll have to wash the train's dishes."
"Well, it's better than eliminating someone..." Harlan resigns, shrugging his shoulders.
A few minutes later, all contestants board the train and start settling into their rooms.
"Chris, we might have a problem here," Barbara is heard saying from the girls' cabin of the Amazon team.
"Oh my god, what's happening?" Chris asks.
"We are five girls, but there are only two bunk beds." Kira explains.
"Hmm... I don't know, that's your problem." Chris shrugs.
"I claim the top bunk!" Barbara shouts, running to the upper part of the bunk bed. In complete silence, both Sofia and Kira also chose a bed.
"Well, Corey, I guess you and I will have to sleep together," says Celia, elbowing Corey.
"Uhmm... I... Well, I don't see a problem with that."
"I'm just kidding; I'll sleep on the floor. Just give me a couple of blankets, and I'll sleep like a baby!" Celia says, laughing loudly, so much so that her laughter infects Cordelia.
"And I suppose that concludes today!" Chris McLean shouts from the train's locomotive. "A new cast and many new adventures; nothing better than coming back! Which team will fall first? Where will this beautiful train take us? And most importantly, who will leave with a million dollars? Answers to that and much, much more next week on Total Drama... Express Tour!
With the train's lights already off and seeing that most people were already asleep or at least pretending to be, Celia decides to go for a water bottle to the dining wagon. Sleeping on the floor had caused her more nausea than she imagined, and it was impossible for her to get some shut-eye. She thought it would be a calm trip, but after finishing her bottle and heading to the trash, she noticed a piece of paper with something written inside it.
"If it's in the trash, it's because it doesn't belong to anyone, right?" Celia checks twice from side to side to make sure no one is watching and takes the sheet. "I chose you three because you seem to be the most capable contestants in the competition. Consider the alliance as a way to control the votes."
She reads aloud.
Confessional

And here I leave the first episode! Fortunately, I was able to get through this quickly, I thought the introductions would give me even more trouble than they did. Some presentation videos are just edited versions of the auditions, omitting information either due to length or spoilers, while others are entirely new. I hope you enjoyed them. I aimed to capture the OCs' personalities well and give each one a role in this first chapter. My goal was to create a first challenge where most of them had a moment to shine, and for those who missed that spotlight, they'll get it very soon! Lastly, don't get used to this episode's length; they will usually be shorter, except for the finale. Thank you so much for reading, and I want to hear your opinions, so remember to leave a review!
I'm looking forward to reading your predictions. Who will be the first eliminated? Who will be the finalists? I know you don't have much to work with, but that only makes it more fun to see how far off reality you are in the end. Thank you for reading and see you in next chapter titled "K-Drama".
