Ring ring ring ri-
"Shush." I mumbled into my pillow, slapping the top of the alarm clock, intent on going back to sleep but then remembering what day was today.
School.
I got up and began to get dressed fast, the part of morning at home flying by fast.
Jack and I got off of his motorcycle when we got to school. Jack went to a group of two people who were standing under the tree that was infront of the school waving him and I over.
"Got a girlfriend over the summer break?" The girl with pink at the tips of her black hair said.
"No- Miko! This here is my new sister." Jack tried clearing things up.
"So, what's your name?" The girl- Miko- asked me, getting in my personal space, to which I stepped back to get away from her.
"She's mute. If it's alright with you, Theresa, I'll do all the talking." Jack said, me nodding.
()
"Here is- home." One of my clips said as I stopped at the door to the classroom of technology.
"What does that mean?" Miko asked me, that was another question I couldn't answer, so I left the group by entering the classroom.
School flew by as usual, me doing all the work on a project at school since all my squadmates were pompous brats who thought that the work was beneath their parents' pay grade and therfore beneath them. I got revenge by tripping them in the cafeteria by gluing a rock I'd found from outside onto the floor near where they usually sat down together, making them look like the biggest fools when they tripped on eachother and couldn't get up.
I joined Miko in detention to keep her company, sneaking out of the room with her and going to the big green truck that was... singing?
"I love this song!" Miko exclaimed, making instrumental noises, I just entered silently and covered my ears with some portable headphones I hooked up to my phone and turned up the volume to listen to something calming and not ear-killing. I paused the song that I was listening to when I knew whoever was speaking didn't know about me being in the car.
"Miko, if you fail high-school, you won't be able to enroll in uni- uni... what was that word?" The car seemed to speak by itself, intriguing me.
"College?" Miko said, bored. We were coming up on a fork in the road, but whoever was controlling the car just drove straight for the middle where a huge rock was.
The car went on and on about how he- the voice was deep and that usually meant a male- wanted the best for Miko.
"You sound just like my parents." She told him, getting out of the car, I followed silently, slinking into the shadows. I watched as the green car transformed into a huge fat robot.
"I thought they spoke Japanese." The robot said, clearly confused.
"They may speak a different language, but they say the same things."
I left after I heard Miko's reply and stuck to the shadows, entering what appeared to be a headquarters with more gigantic robots.
"What did you do this time, Miko?" A familiar voice said.
Jack.
I turned around to see my brother talking to Miko, unaware of my presence. I saw a red-and-white robot and decided to ask them what they were, but some beeping on the screen that the robot was looking at caught my attention.
"Optimus, the scanners are detecting energon in ancient Greece." The red-and-white robot said. I, meanwhile, had found a nice nook I could sit in and not be disturbed. I pulled out my headphones and played some nice upbeat music, unknowingly causing an odd frequency in the scanning which now tried to pinpoint me on the map and skittered around the globe, unsuccessfully finding me.
I heard an uproar and turned off my music to hear what was going on, fixing the problem.
"Ugh, another bug." He groaned, turned around, and saw me with my headphones and instantly made a connection. After he was done ranting, the red-and-white robot realized that I was a human and was here.
"Just what we needed, another human." He complained.
"I feel- the- love, dear." Voice clips with sarcasm in them had been mashed together quickly for me to create that sentence.
"Theresa, what are you doing here?" Jack said, coming over to me. I pointed to Miko to give him his answer.
"I was- betrayed." Jack flinched a little at my clip and tried explaining why he had never told me about these 'Autobots' and 'Decepticons'. By the time he was done telling me everything, Bulkhead and Miko had come back from their scouting mission. They were talking about some golden orb that the ancients of Greece found at some point in history.
"Um... I've typed in 'golden orb', is this the orb you're talking about?" I hadn't seen Raphael earlier, so I was startled when he popped his head over the rail to show the autobots what he'd found on the internet. The red-and-blue autobot told him yes and Raf proceeded to tell them which museum the ball was in.
"I would- love to- go." A clip of many people's voices said. Everyone turned to me before starting an argument that the human side- I mean Jack- was winning thus far.
"Jack, are you sure you wish to put your sister in danger?" Optimus asked.
Jack hesitated, "I-... no. I'm sorry Theresa, I can't."
I bowed my head and walked away, an air of being upset surrounded me. I knew Jack, and I knew that he'd bring me along anyway if he saw me like this.
I observe people, what can I say?
"Okay, okay, you can come." I raised my head a bit to act like I couldn't believe it, 'process' the words, then look happy. I hugged Jack, he was probably surprised as that was the first one I'd given him since meeting him, and- neither of us would know yet- my last hug to Jack.
