Oscar Sully shuddered as he woke up from his nightmare in the sanctum. He looked around the room, taking in the familiar sights and objects that surrounded him. But something felt different this time. The images of Egyptian gods and pharaohs that adorned the walls seemed to be alive, their mouths moving as if they were all talking at once.
Feeling a chill run down his spine, Oscar slowly got up from his bed and walked towards the walls, mesmerized by the moving images. As he got closer, he noticed one particular god holding an apple in his hand. Suddenly, the god turned towards Oscar and their eyes locked. In that moment, Oscar felt a wave of fear wash over him.
Without warning, the god threw the apple towards Oscar. Instinctively, he caught it and as he did, the images on the walls disappeared, leaving him in complete darkness. Suddenly, a voice echoed through the room, sending shivers down Oscar's spine.
'Oscar Sully, you have been chosen. The fate of the universe and the world depends on you.'
Oscar looked around, trying to find the source of the voice. But all he could see was darkness. Then, a faint light appeared in the distance, drawing him closer. As he approached, he saw a figure standing in front of a large book, holding a wand in his hand.
'Who are you?' Oscar asked, his voice trembling.
The figure turned around and Oscar gasped. It was his great great grandfather, Khait Morgan. He had only seen him in pictures, but here he was, standing right in front of him.
'I am Khait Morgan, your ancestor. And I have been watching over you, waiting for this moment,' Khait said, his voice filled with urgency.
He gestured towards the book in front of him. 'This is the Book of Knowledge. It holds the secrets of the universe and the power to control it.'
Oscar's eyes widened in disbelief. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. But before he could ask any questions, Khait continued.
'Long ago, there was a war between the gods and the humans. The gods wanted to control the world, while the humans wanted freedom. The gods had the Appel of Eden, a powerful artifact that gave them control over life and death. But the humans had the Wand of Light, a weapon that could destroy anything in its path.'
Khait paused, his eyes filled with sadness. 'The war was brutal and many lives were lost. In the end, the humans were able to defeat the gods and take possession of the Appel of Eden. But they couldn't destroy it. So they hid it, hoping that it would never be found again.'
Oscar listened intently, his mind trying to process everything he was being told. He looked at the Wand of Light in Khait's hand and then at the apple in his own. It all seemed so surreal.
'But now, the Appel of Eden has resurfaced and it has fallen into the wrong hands. The gods have returned and they are seeking revenge. They want to take control of the world once again,' Khait said, his voice filled with urgency.
He handed the Wand of Light to Oscar. 'You must use this wand to destroy the Appel of Eden and stop the gods. It is your mission, Oscar Sully. You are the only one who can bring peace to the universe and the world.'
Oscar's mind was reeling. He couldn't believe what was happening. But he knew he had to do something. He took the Wand of Light and looked at Khait with determination.
'I will do it. I will find the Appel of Eden and destroy it,' Oscar said, his voice filled with determination.
Khait smiled, a look of pride in his eyes. 'I knew I could count on you, my great great grandson.'
With a nod, Khait disappeared and the room was filled with darkness once again. But this time, Oscar was ready. He held the Wand of Light in one hand and the apple in the other, ready to embark on his mission to bring peace to the universe and the world.
