"Rumble…Rumble"

"Boom!"
My eyes open to my arms.
The sounds of heavy breathing snaps me up and lean up fast.
"Princess?" My eyes focus on Knuckles panicked once's and I look around.
I saw everyone else as they ran into a house and Silver pushed the items off the table.
"Where is the bunker?!" Silver asked and Knuckles placed me on the table.
"Here!" Cream and Tails opened the wooden bunker and Knuckles picked me up and again, but they all froze once they saw my eyes.
"She is awake…" Silver said and Knuckles still rushed in without giving me time to speak.
Knuckles flipped a light on, and he placed me a different table fast, and I reach my arms out to stop him from placing me. But then I stopped.
My hand was bandaged, and it was bleeding down my wrist. But by the look of it…
"My fingers…"
The surged through me and I let out a painful cry. Knuckles covered my mouth, but I turned me away from it as tears flew out my eyes.
"Arghh!" I screamed and Rouge came started wrapping a cloth around my mouth.
"Amy please! Shh. Shh." She tried to calm me but the pain in my hand was intense.
I wanted to die.
My back arched and Knuckles tried to hold me down, but it was no use.
I managed to get off the table and I started to take the tight bandaged off and it reveled my hand.
I had lost both of my ring and pinkie. Drool fell out my mouth and Silver ran to me and crouched down.
"I have your ring finger but the pinkie… I couldn't find it." Silver seemed very sad, but I shut my eyes tight and was lifted from under my arms.
My knees are weak, and I felt sick to my stomach because of the pain that I let Silver hold me as I held in my screams.
"Fuck… My finger… it hurts so bad."
I thought as I held close.
"We have to put it back now!" Cream says and bends down in front of me.
"Please give me a moment." I thought as I buried my face in Silver's arm.
Silver grabbed my wrist and extended it out harshly as I was retracting it in, and Cream held my cold finger and my bloody hand to hers.
"Hold her mouth closed." Cream said softly and Silver did so but tightly.
The pain shredded through my body as I felt veins and blood connect to my finger that I did not think that was going to connect back to me. My feet kicked and I bit my teeth down hard as it stabbed through me repeatedly and then it stopped.
"It's not connecting." Cream said worriedly and I cried out as I knew I would have to go through the pain again.
I screamed out loudly and this time I felt my bone click together. My stomach turned and my temperature flew through the roof.
"Got it." Cream plopped to the ground, and I felt the pain subside, but my pinkie was another story.
"Move it." Silver asked and I moved it gently.
"It works." Silver chuckled and Silver always found a time to laugh during a awful situation like this and it made me gently move my wet face from his arm. Cold air hit my face as I went and looked at my hand.
It was bloody and the nub of my pinkie finger shinned in it.
My eyes moved past that, and I saw my friends worriedly look at me and Knuckles had his hand around his mouth in fear of my health.

"Where is Sonic?" I asked and Cream spoke first.
"We aren't sure."
"What do you mean?"
"He is somewhere in the kingdom but where exactly we don't know. But for now… you are in danger."
"Maybe we should wait to tell her-"
"No, Silver. We have too."
"Yeah, we have to because Axel is trying to kill both of them!" Tails interrupted and crouched to me." Axel is hunting you and Sonic down. We are expecting that you both went to the spirit world, correct?"
"Y-yeah."
"So… I think that… I know he wants to kill you." Tails says. "Once you fell asleep… he aimed right for you. That's when your hand got cut because we tried to protect you from it, but we were late… we were too late."
My eyes shook as he spoke.
"We aren't sure what to do because Axel has power like Sally, so we aren't sure what do-"
"We need to find Sonic." I said first and Rouge fell to her knees.
"Amelia, you can't go out there."
"Why not…"
"You could die-"
"I don't care!" my eyes watered and I stood up. "If I am supposed to die like Tikal said then let me!"
"I can't let you do that." Rouge says and stands quickly grabbing my arm.
"Rouge, you don't have a choice!"
"Why?!" Rouge yelled and tears fell from her eyes. "We just got you back… it's my responsibility to keep you safe! I can't let you go out there and sacrifice yourself!"
We became silent and the ground above us rumbled.
"Rouge…" I brought her into a hug and sobbed into my shirt.
"Princess… maybe you should stay here" Knuckles joined, and Tails shook his head and walked around to try to think. "We have to try together."
"Knuckles… I don't think I can." I wiped my face.
"We have to do something." I said and I turn to Silver.
Silver starred at all of us and then the ground rumbled again.
"I don't know if I should say anything… but I think… I'm afraid of this being the last time I can talk to you." Silver lips quivered and I ran into his arms.
"It won't be."
"But Amelia." Silver used my first name instead of calling me princess because he was anxious. "What if Tikal is right?"
"Regardless of what I do. I can't change the future of what is to come. I'm not going to die. I'm going to protect my kingdom." I say letting him go and I stood back and looked at everyone.
"I'm going to save the fire kingdom, Lera and Asendel. I have too. That is one future I am going to keep!"
"I'm not afraid. I'm not backing down from the person destroying my kingdom as we speak!" I yelled and I felt rage run through me.
"I'm going. I want you all to head to the kingdom. Protect everyone and clear all of the area. Maria…"
Maria eyes were dumping out tears as she wiped them, and I chuckled and brought her in a hug.
"Maria, I need you to… save my people. Please. Search for everyone. Anyone inside the kingdom. You are our only hope with finding those who need help."
"D-don't die." Maria touched my hair and leaned back from my face.
"I won't. " I smiled and I turned to them.
"Tails, lead everyone to safety? And if you see Sonic… let him know not to come looking for me. I can finish this." I said and I start to climb out before anyone could stop me. I run out of the house and a gust of wind pushes my face as my eyes adjust to the dimness.
So many trees and houses had been destroyed that I could barely recognized where I was. The burning of houses and buildings were standing in the dusting wind as gusts of fire and rock were being thrown over the walls. My eyes looked around for the entrance and I saw the destroyed fountain first, seeing that I was far left of the kingdom. I secretly ran towards the fountain and press on a lever, and I crawled in. I closed the hatch behind me and that's when I flew extremely fast until I saw rock had barricaded the hallway.
"Fuck." I turned my head and then I touch the rocks and I yelled.
"Cass!" I bark and heard nothing back.
"Cass… can you hear me?!" I leaned back and charged a fire ball and knocked it all the way down, but it was still more rocks falling through the ceiling.
"Cass-"
"Princess?!" The noise was muffled, and I gasped.
"Cass! Can you hear me! Are you alright?"
"Yeah!... I think… Oh! Are you throwing me a surprise party! I heard fireworks and screaming up there! DID you know it was my birthday?!" Cass talked.
"Uh…Yeah...Can you get out?! There are rocks blocking the way."
"Yeah, I can but you told me not too so I don't know If I should…. You said you would be mad."
"I won't! Please come out."
"…Why… I like it here!"
"Cass, I need you to come out! Someone is trying to destroy the kingdom!"
"Psh… let em. No one likes me up there anyway." Cass says and I sigh and then I try to think of something.
"The person cut my pinkie finger off."
I said and then there was a grave silence. The wall rumbled and I backed away and I soon the rocks exploded, and I felt someone grab me and fly through the roof. We flew all the way up through the ground and up to the sky as he carried me up and the stopped. Cass switched me around bridal style and looked at my hand.
"When could he fire bend?! He is flying?"
His eyes softened and it went to mine.
"Who… WHO COULD HAVE DONE THIS TO MY SWEET!" Cass hugged me tightly and I grunted.
"Axel." I said and he turned his head.
"… Didn't homeboy have a crush on you? Why on earth would he do that?"
"I'm not sure." I say and he stares at me.
"Well… at least your ring finger is here! We can still get married." He says and kiss my forehead.
"He cut that off too." I say and Cass started to frown. "I need you… to slow him down so we can stop him-"
"Or I can take you away from all of this. Look around!" Cass shows me around my entire kingdom because we were so high in the air, and I watch my kingdom burn.
I look out towards the outside and I watch boulders fly through and smash the concrete.
"He won't stop until he kills me."
"And then we can get married and have kids- our kids would be so strong."
"Cass, we have to stop him or there won't be a future."
"Our future? Someone is harming your future?"
"yes. Axel is!" I explain once again, and he looks at me and then he smirks.
"See… I told you to come with me during those times, but you didn't and now it's me and you versus Axel." He laughed and I cocked my eye.
"…what? You are acting like you knew?"
"Well, when we were fighting at our old secret base, the face he has when Sonic saved you before I was going to harm you… he was enraged but hid it because he knew that if he let anyone know then you would have seen the hatred in his face. " Cass looked towards the globs of people launching stuff from the outside.
"This is a fight for love. A fight for respect. All of it is on the line because people are tired of stuff not going their way." Cass gripped my arm and I started to stare at him intensely.
"Maybe it's time I do the same." Cass says quietly and then he turns his head to mine.
"Cass-"
Cass jammed two fingers in my neck, and I felt my body fall limp in his arms. My body sprayed out in his arms and my head went upside down.
"When could her do Ten's technique?"
"Cass… don't… he will kill you." I whispered as I barely had control over my mouth.
Cass brought me closer, and he started flying out of the kingdom.
My chest moved faster, and Cass was taking me away from all of this I tried to move.
"C-Cass please!" I moved eyes with force of concentrating without blacking out and he ignored me by flying faster.
Cass takes off towards the forest and then he swoops down in it. We travel further away from the battle and my limp body gets pulled in as he comes across a cave. My arm twitches once he starts to carry me to the cave and then he sits me down in it.
"There!"
Cass makes a fire, and my breath quickens as I become furious.
"Cass… you fucking dumb ass!" I yell and I tried to move my body, but I couldn't.
"That's not nice, princess." Cass sat down in front of me and touched my hair.
My eyes were in rage and I'm sure he could see that.
"I didn`t want to take you but I had no choice since someone is trying to kill you now and… knowing that Sonic…" He moves my hair from my face as he speaks and then he pauses. "Sonic."
He starts to laugh and stands up and my eyes widen.
"That's why you never focus on me because its him… fine. Maybe this is what I need to do. Fight for my love. Fight for what I want! I'm tired of you not knowing I exist when I am right here for you! But I know who I need to take care of… it's Sonic."
Cass smiles and walks out the Cave.
"Cass….CASS!" I yell and I try to move my weak arms.
"Don't-"
Cass flies out the cave and I start hyperventilating.
I grunt and try to move my body, but it wasn't working.
I close my eyes and focus,
Focus.
Focus.
…
My eyes open and I stand up fast and I turn and see my body.
"I can't do this for long, but I know I could make it to him!"
I started to run in the darkness trying to remember the way I way I came from.
"Focus on his energy."
I look ahead and I see a small flicker of his energy. I follow the trail in the darkness… afraid if I could catch him before anyone else did.
Sonic
I was finally getting the chance to fly past the castle and enter into the kingdom. My eyes moved around for anything pink, but nothing was pink in sight.
I stop to look around and then I look ahead, and I see someone flying towards me.
My eyes squinted at the sight of the person until they were coming closer and then… my eyes set ablaze.
I inhaled and blasted off towards him until we clashed, and we gripped but of each other's hands harshly.
"I'm GOING TO KILL YOU!"
"You aren't doing shit Cass but losing BOTH ARMS!"
"HAHAHA! Just how you lost the princess?! I don't think so!" Cass power increase and so does my anger. "Now we can have our final battle! Like we were supposed to when we were in the spirit world!"
"Oh yeah?" My hands flash into flames and I grip his hands even more so that he couldn't pull away. " I knew we should have left you back there were trash BELONGS!"
I push Cass to the ground with all my strength and we wrestle on the ground with me on top.
Cass laughs at the pain and his eyes start to turn red with adrenaline running through him.
"You aren't any better than me! Fire kingdom trash!"
Cass shoved me off and I placed my feet on the ground as me and Cass starting go head-to-head.
I through harsh punches and kicks while Cass was laughing the entire time. Cass shot lightning at me, water bended and even fire bended which made me wonder he mastered fire bending but knowing that how he has a lightning ability, only makes sense of why he could do it.
I flew back and shot a huge fire ball at Cass, and I watched it incase him in flames. I stayed in the air as the smoke disappeared and then I watch Cass cough out smoke with the ashes falling off his body and his fiery eyes were still burning.
"BURN ME DOWN!" Cass launches at me with an incredible speed and suddenly I realize that his hand is on my face.
Cass flies forward with me in his grip I try to pry it off of it but then soon after I was being slammed through a library and thrown over the counter. I roll on the ground, and I hold my hand out.
"Cass, not the library!" I yell as I looked the valuable information scattered around me.
Cass pauses and starts to laugh loudly, and he charged an enormous fire blast in his hand.
"You can burn along with it!"
Cass sent the area in flames, and I roll out the way I shot a blast back to counter it! I thought about how important this was for everyone here so I had to protect the best I could. So, I ran out the door just in time and Cass followed after me as he ran towards me.
I ran towards at him too. Slashes and flames of fire were being spilled across the town as we fought viciously. I took some hits from him as well since he had so much power held in from not doing anything.
My body bounces off the table and I roll on the ground as I try to catch my breath.
"This is as far you go! Today will be your last day!" Cass body twitched in unused power, and he then grabbed a sharp metal object from the sidewalk, and he stares at me.
"Or bow down to me and maybe I'll change my mind… since I would become a prince after I marry the princess." He says and I get up slowly and I grunt as I held my side.
"I'm not bowing to anyone." I said weakly and Cass sighed happily.
"I was hoping you would say that."
Cass flips the sharp metal and runs at me. I get into a fighting position, and I charge at Cass with all my might. Our fighting continues with him trying to cut my head off, but I wouldn't let him. I needed this to end so I could find Amelia.
Cass slashes my face and licks the blood off the sword as he smiled wildly.
"Just bow down to me, Sonic! BOW DOWN!" I duck and I grab the metal in my hand, Deeping a cut in my palm . I charged a punched so quickly to his chest and he caught it. Causing me to slam my head his that he didn't react too but just continued to smile at me.
"I can't cause any damage to him!"
"Yeah… nothing hurts anymore when it comes to fighting for her." Cass twisted my arm, and I flew on my back, and I roll out the way in time before he stabbed me, slamming the metal in the ground I jump up and fly into the air with him not giving me any time to recover.
"Why are you afraid!? Fight me like before!" Cass screams and creates more fire blasts headed towards me.
I punch through them and then I run into another store.
I have to think! What could I do to throw him off.
My eyes thought about where he was flying from.
The side of castle…. Maybe she is there.
I blew up both buildings around me creating a lot of dust and fire around me and I sped flew across the kingdom. I didn't him following me after I escaped and then I flew into another house as I heard loud explosions.
I was breathing quickly.
"Where now? Amelia… where are you?"
A glimmer of light appeared in front of me, and I touched it gently.
"I'm here."
The spirit went into my face, and I saw the trace of energy show me the way.
My legs moved on its own and I flew out the house. I started flying straight towards but that's when Cass appeared again.
"Oh no you don't !" Cass yelled and continued to shoot fire blasts at me.
I dodged most of them as I ended up in the forest and then I was flying through trees. My head ducked through some branches, and I see a cave. My body flies towards the cave and then Cass lands on my back. We roll on the ground a few times and I roll on my back to see Cass trying to hold me down.
"Get off!"
"No!"
We fought on the ground as Cass had a great grip on me but so did I. I start to crawl with his body weight on mine and I frowned as I got closer to the cave entrance.
My head lifts up and I stopped moving as I saw her.
Cass stopped as well, and he got off me slowly with his smile dropping.
He was holding her by her hair as he starred at us intensely and Amelia eyes were on mine. I was afraid to move but Cass took the first step and Axel eyes moved off of mine.
"Let her go-"
Axel moved extremely fast with Amelia still in his hand as he smashed Cass against a rocky wall. My eyes widen at Cass's body falling limp to the ground and some teeth falling out of his mouth as he laid unconscious.
Amelia whimper since she was not moving, and Axel eyes went to mine. I didn't move. I didn't know if I should or not.
"We're sorry Axel." Tears came down her face as she cried. " We didn't know. I didn't know you was hurting this bad to do this, but this is wrong. This is wrong Axel. You can't just kill everyone because of what I did." Amelia sobbed as he didn't even look like himself anymore.
"Please Axel… Let's not do this. Just let me go and we can talk about this. There is still time to stop all of this."
Silence ran through the conversation and then I see Cass shuffling to stand. Cass face was bloody but healing slowly as his power to self-heal was moving rapidly at a slow pace.
Cass breathed heavily and he started to walk towards Amelia.
"Y-You…" Cass limped but he didn't stop. "Let her go-"
Axel only did the same thing he did before but this time he slam Cass with a huge chunk of a rock repeatedly. My eyes had to move away as I saw that his eye even popped out .
Amelia eyes were closed at the sight and then finally stopped but his face seemed on edge still.
He lifted her higher with her hair and grunted at being held this way.
"Axel… please-"
"You. Sonic. The people. This… world." Axel finally spoke.
"We are all doomed to cause wars over and over again because no one truly understands the meaning of love… I've tried to wipe the black from this world but all we are is fucked. We are fucked, the world is fucked. Love is fucked and we all are fucking going to pay for it but… for what its worth. I will free the both of you of the tragedies that have been created because you. I wouldn't be in this rut if it wasn't for the both of you. The world wouldn't be so black if it wasn't because of you so now… I'm going to restart it so that I can show you have love truly is!"
"But first… we have to kill the princess."
