AN: The way this story progresses will be by how much Valis the Loki Familia make. Tanya does like money after all. I'll throw in random events here and there to spice things up but progress will mainly be through Valis for now.

Tanya walked through the second floor.

Honestly, it might be stupid to be exploring alone, what if something were to happen to her and she needed help.

Kuro was currently up on the first floor helping Finn train.

Looking up at the ceiling, Tanya found a Dungeon Lizard.

She fired a feather into its skull and it fell to the floor dead.

Honestly, the creature wasn't really impressive.

Two goblins appeared and she dispatched them.

There was a gleam in Tanya's eyes.

Perhaps, lone monsters on the first floor were more common, two monsters together on the second floor were more common, three monsters together on the third floor were more common, four monsters together on the fourth floor were more common, and so on.

She could need more data to confirm it.

Harvesting the two goblins, Tanya continued on.

Kobolds, goblins, and Dungeon Lizards kept appearing and Tanya continued dispatching them.

She continued floor after floor until she reached the fourth floor.

Beyond the fourth floor was the fifth floor which had War Shadows and Killer Ants.

It was known for where lots of newbie adventurers started to die.

Tanya had no interest and adventuring dangerously and decided to call it a day.

She headed back up.

Kuro and Finn greeted her at the dungeon entrance.

They cashed in the monster crystals and earned 12000 Valis.

Most of it was from Tanya.

They met up with Loki and went to a restaurant like usual.

At a table, Finn told his adventuring experience to Loki.

Being up above in the city was sometimes boring and Loki quite liked hearing their adventure inside the dungeon.

From what Loki could tell, Tanya and Kuro were quite strong.

She was a little curious who was stronger between the two but didn't want to see two volcanoes erupting at once.

Tanya looked at Loki.

"I think we need to recruit more Familia members."

Loki looked at her curiously.

Currently, they were doing fine in her opinion.

As for recruiting, she only wanted to pick the best of the best.

If she saw too many of her children die, she'd probably get desensitized like some gods.

"I would love to recruit more but finding high quality one is hard."

Tanya became curious at what she said.

"You can tell their quality?"

Loki shook her head.

"No, it's just the feel in which I see them."

Finn had a question for Tanya.

"If I may ask, why do you want more recruit?"

Tanya laid out her thought.

"From what I've found, the amount of money we'll need to traverse lower into the dungeon will exponentially increase. It will also become more dangerous. There is strength in number. I'd like to train up a squad for future diving."

Loki thought about it and decided to agree.

"I'll see what I can do about it."

The next day was a resting day so everyone was out and about.

Loki scoured around and managed to find two new Familia members.

When the day came to a close and everyone went to their favorite restaurant to meet up, Loki introduced the two.

"This here is Riveria and this here is Gareth. Why don't you introduce us Kuro?"

Kuro decided to introduce them.

"This here is Granny Tanya. She's a war veteran with ptsd. Sometimes in the middle of the night, she wakes up screaming the Rus are attacking. If that happens, calmly assure her they are in fact not attacking.

Tanya frowned, she did not have ptsd or woke up screaming the Rus are attacking at night.

Kuro introduced Finn next.

"This here is Finn, he uh... he... he's a spearman."

Finn smiled, that's one way to introduce him.

Kuro introduced Loki next.

"As you should know, she here is goddess Loki. She calls is her children so we call her Daddy."

Loki choked on her drink.

"If you don't want to call her Daddy, you can call her Mommy."

Loki looked at Kuro embarrassed and amused.

Riveria and Gareth looked at Loki with concern.

Loki waved them off.

"Kuro's just playing, you don't have to call me Daddy or Mommy."

Riveria and Gareth sweat dropped.

Loki could see Tanya and Finn somewhat amused and decided to shift attention elsewhere.

"I know, let's play truth or lie, you're up Kuro."

Kuro nodded mischievously, Loki didn't like that.

Loki explained the rules to Riveria and Gareth.

Kuro started the game.

"I'm a sword master."

Riveria found Kuro way to young to be a sword master.

"Lie."

Gareth trusted the confidence in Kuro's eyes.

"Truth."

Tanya had never seen Kuro fight with a sword.

"Lie."

Finn had also never seen Kuro fight with a sword.

"Lie."

Loki stated the actual answer with no surprise.

"It is true."

Everyone looked at Gareth in awe.

He felt embarrassed.

He may not look like the smartest person in the room but he did have a brain.

Tanya wondered how he could tell.

"How could you tell?"

Gareth looked at Kuro.

"His eyes, you can look into a man's soul through their eyes."

Kuro closed his eyes and covered it with his hand.

"Ara ara Gareth-Kun."

Gareth became embarrassed.

"Oi!"

The game continued on.

"I am a great blacksmith."

Riveria did not remember seeing callous on his hand.

"Lie."

Gareth studied Kuro curiously, he could sense fire within in the man.

"Truth."

Finn was about to say no but looked at Gareth.

He looked back at Kuro.

"Truth."

Tanya didn't have anything to tell if Kuro was a blacksmith so went with logic.

"Lie."

Loki stated the actual answer with curiosity.

"It is true."

Everyone looked at Gareth.

Gareth could see Tanya wanted to know how he knew.

"It is fire, I see it in him."

Kuro laughed girlishly.

"I feel so exposed and indecent in front of Gareth-Kun, I better wear more clothes."

A blush formed on Gareth's face but he kept calm.

The game continued on.
