Cass came back and the first thing we did was relocate his shoulder.

Father drank himself into a coma and Cass had a towel in his mouth while mother pulled his arm out. "Ok, I need you to breathe." He took a long breath. Julia and I watched from a crack in the door. mother pulled and placed it back. He screamed into the towel before it got back into place. "How does it feel?"

Cass spat the towel out and breathed. "The pressure is gone." Cass's arm was wrapped up.

Julia fell to the floor watching having stood on her toes. "I told you two to wait outside." She reprimanded us.

Julia was starry-eyed and impressed by their mother. "Where did you learn that?" Mother looking at her explained.

"One of my friends played on the Quidditch team and needed his shoulder placed and he explained how to do it." Julia smiled and stood up. "Now out, your brother needs rest." We did as told but a week later Cass was allowed to come out with us, while mother and father Argued

Julia waved at Lily and pulled her to Cass to meet Cass for the first time. "Lily, my brother Cass." I pressed him proudly as he deserved.

"Nice to meet you." offers a handshake and awkwardly realizes her mistake.

He chuckled. "Don't worry, thank you for being there for my siblings." Lily pulled her into a one-arm hug.

Petunia came carrying a basket. "Cass, what happened to you?" Julia looked at Brother and so did I to hear the explanation.

He seemed nervous. "I was getting out of the train and tripped." I didn't trust him but Julia hugged him out of habit. "Jully easy, don't want a broken leg." Julia let go and Petunia set up a blanket for a Picnic.

Cass showed me and Julia his idea. "They're magically connected making it so that when one person writes into their journal their writing appears in the other person's journal, instantly." I understood what he meant.

"So you can write to us any time and we can write to you any time?" Julia asked with wide eyes.

Cass smiled. "Yep, I just need to figure out how to make the words appear in the second journal." I thought about that, but I couldn't think of a solution either.

We spent a few dinners and lunches at the Evans.

Father spent more time at work and less time at home, so I decided to ask Cass after the bandages and bindings were removed. "Did he do this? Cass, you can trust me." Cass turned looking away from the potion being prepared. "Please, Cass."

He sighed and walked toward the door pushing it closed. "Yes, he was too rough with me pulling me to the car and pulling my arm out of my joint." I looked at him as his eyes filled with tears. "It's good to tell the truth once." If driven by some inexplicable impulse, I was to wrap my arms around him in a tight embrace. I heard him cry and he got on his knees and he held my shoulders. "No matter what he says you're not diseased, you're not useless, you're not pathetic, you're one of the best things that has happened in this family. No matter what happens I will be there to protect you and Julia, never forget it Sev!" I hugged him tighter and I cried into his shoulder, I felt protected and safe for the first time since summer ended.

Author's note: I'm cutting this short. because seriously I'm done with this chapter. The next chapter will be a time skip to Severus going to Diagon Alley with Cassius. In part because after this chapter nothing interesting happens, Until the four-year-long prank war between the Snapes and the marauders. Seriously, do you think Cassius is going to let James and Sirius hurt his brother? Yea except at least one of them being On the astronomy tower before he leaves Hogwarts.
