Chapter 49

Three days have passed since Leah's crew talked with Rayleigh, now they are on the Green Dragon looking around in awe. Rayleigh was looking at the crew amused.

"So, I take it you are satisfied with the job?" Rayleigh asked.

"Most definitely!" Gail said excitedly.

"It's so bubbly!" Annie shouted.

"That's one way to describe it." William said. "Hey Rayleigh, I am going over the navigation notes that you gave me."

"Good because navigating under water is a lot different from navigating above the waves." Rayleigh told him.

Leah then approached the former pirate. "Thank you for everything."

Rayleigh rubbed her hair. "You're welcome, I hope to see what you do."

"Thanks."

"My pleasure, I better get going, I still haven't spent that money I stole."

Leah laughed at that. "Okay have fun and thanks again."

"No problem, take care." Rayleigh said before jumping high into the air and gliding away.

Gale shook her head. "It's been along time, but he never changed."

"So should we set sail?" Li asked at the helm.

"Yeah, best we do." Leah said brightly.

The Green Dragon pulled the anchor and set sail. The crew was about to descend below the depths, when Leah noticed eight pirate ships lined up watching a projection. She had her crew sail the ship so it would be on the left side of the ships.

"Ahoy!" She shouted towards her fellow rookies.

Most of the captains gave here an annoyed glare except Apoo who was searching for Truffle. He would eventually see her, and his eyes would turn into hearts. "Truffle, baby why don't you come over to my ship!" He shouted trying to flirt.

Truffle didn't reply, instead allowed Atlanta to throw a weight at the long-armed captain hitting him on the forehead. "Ow!"

"That's what you get for being so annoying." Bonney yelled. "Nice work, but I'm still mad at you!"

"Why?" Leah shouted back.

"Because you did nothing to stop Straw Hat from doing something so stupid."

"You will have to be more specific." Leah shouted. "But if you're talking about the Celestial Dragon thing then Kid and Law were also there."

"Don't drag me into this!" Law and Kid shouted at Leah.

"Well, you were there." William said pointedly.

"Shut up!" The two captains shouted.

"Now now, it would only do us harm if we fight amongst each other." Hawkin told everyone while he looked through his tarot cards.

"I'm in agreement, Kizaru put me out of it, otherwise I would love nothing more than to pummel the three pirate crews that got us in that mess three days ago." The mad monk told them.

"I look forward to fighting you in the New World." Atlanta suggested to the mad monk.

Urouge smirked. "Looking forward to it."

"So, I'm curious why are we looking at a projection screen?" Leah asked.

"The execution of Portgas D. Ace." Drake answered tensely.

"So that's today." Leah said quietly.

"Everyone be quite it's starting." Bege told everyone.

Everyone turned to the screen to see a man with medium length black hair and a large cross tattoo with a whitebeard on it be brought to a podium before kneeling. A man stood on each side of him.

The pirate watching could feel the tension through the screen. In the sea of marines, they saw many high-ranking officers. All the soldiers looking unsure of what's about to happen.

A man with a black afro, a sea gull hat, white suit with numerous medals, and a navy jacket, walked towards Ace. He was then given a snail.

"I have some information you all need to hear." The man announced.

"That's the fleet admiral Sengoku." Drake told everyone.

"This man is Portgas D. Ace and the significance of his impending demise is more profound than you may realize." Sengoku continued.

There was a tense silence from all the pirates wondering what's so important about Ace. "Ace I would like you to tell them the name of your father." Sengoku requested.

Ace turned his towards the fleet admiral. "The name of my father is Whitebeard."

'Okay, but everyone of Whitebeards crew calls him pops or father.' Leah thought.

"Not true!" Sengoku rebuffed shocking her.

"Yes, it is!" Ace shouted. "Whitebeard is my father! My only father!"

"We launched a painstaking and exhausting search for you around the time of you birth." Sengoku announced. "When we heard rumors your father had a child we took it very seriously."

"Thanks to Cipher Pol, a small but reliable amount of information was presented to us, based on this we checked all newborns as well as all preborn children." Sengoku continued. "We spoke to many mothers, no matter how far and wide we searched we couldn't find you."

"No surprise though, especially when considering the lengths your mother went to hide." Sengoku said. "She performed a miracle that could only come from a love of a mother."

The pirates were getting more surprised and tense as the admiral spoke. "As a result she mislead the navy, no she managed to mislead the world, you come from an island in the South Blue called Batelira and your mother's name is Portgas D. Rouge."

'Okay why is all of this important?' Leah asked herself.

"She pulled off a feat that completely defied the laws of nature, all to protect her child." Sengoku continued to inform. "She kept her baby inside her womb for an entire 20 months."

Leah looked at Ace to see a panicked look on his face. "And once she finally gave birth to you, she lost all of her strength and passed away right then and there."

Sengoku kept a stoic face as he kept speaking. "And thus, a year and three months after the death of his father a child was born with the blood of the world's most odious villain in his veins."

Sengoku then turned to Ace giving him an intense glare. "That child was you. Surely, you must know the truth."

'Wait is the fleet admiral really going to suggest…' Leah thought before he dropped a bomb.

"Your trued father is Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates!"

To be continued…
