They walked for hours. Any attempt to talk or to treat Sam's broken arm resulted with swift strikes to the face. Daniel had taken a few punches trying to at least get a sling on his friend, despite her glare clearly telling him to let it be. He only stopped after the jaffa struck Sam instead of him. The men of SG-1 were outraged and went after the jaffa that had hit Sam. They managed to get in a few hits before…

"Sir stop!" Sam cried out, Aether holding her by the hair, a dagger digging ever so slightly into her throat.

Sam could see the rage in her friends faces. "Guys, I'm fine. Just let's get wherever we are going. You can poke and prod as much as you'd like then."

She winced as the knife bit into her throat as she spoke. She could feel a small trickle of blood roll down her neck. Jack shoved away the hands of the jaffa who was holding him by the front of his jacket. Sam could see he wanted to kill Aether, hell so did she, but she was glad he stood down and they started walking again. Her arm was throbbing unbearably, she tried to put her hand in her pocket to minimize the swinging of her arm but that didn't work, she ended up just holding it with her right arm close to her chest.

Soon they saw a rather unassuming building gin a small clearing. As they approached Jack grimaced, with the clearing being so small a UAV would have a difficult time finding them. Looking at Teal'c Jack could see he was thinking the same thing, they would have to save themselves.

Entering the building was not what they expected. No gold, no embellishments, just a large open space with rooms all along the edges. They were led to one door and shoved into the room one at a time.

*NO!* Aether bellowed. *Bring me the Tok'ra!*

Two jaffa entered and grabbed Sam. She struggled against them as Teal'c and Jack tried to free her.

"Jack he wants her because of Jolinar!"

"No!" Jack rushed toward Aether, stopped by another jaffa. He tried to push past, to make Aether understand, "Take me! I was a Tok'ra after Carter was! Take me damn it!"

*Liar!* Aether shouted, moving past his jaffa to shove Jack violently back into the room, knocking into Teal'c.

As Teal'c instinctively grabbed Jack the two jaffa rushed Sam out of the room, slamming the door behind them.

"Get back here you no good piece of shit snake head!" Jack yelled. He pulled on the door and started looking around the room. "We have to find a way out of here!"

"I'm not going to tell you anything." Sam stated defiantly, knowing full well with her already broken arm she was in for a bad day.

*Of this I have no doubt* Aether said, with a wave of his hand a small woman approached with a clay jar. Sam stiffened in the grasp of the two jaffa. *My mate needs a new host. I find you most pleasing to look at. Once you are joined I will know all you know. I have no need to damage this vessel any more.*

"No!" Sam tried to pull away. The jaffa to her right clamped down on her broken arm, her vision blurred and she dropped to her knees. Sam's sight returned just in time to see the gou'ald had been released. I was quickly making its way to her, up her body and buried into her neck. Sam's body relaxed and her eyes flashed. Aether smiled and moved toward his mate. He stopped short when Sam's glowing eyes flickered and her face twisted in pain. The gou'ald retreated from Sam's body leaving her gasping for breath and clutching the wound on the back of her neck.

*What have you done!* Aether yelled.

"I told you," Sam lunged forward and grabbed the retreating larval gou'ald. Using every ounce of her strength she whipped it around and smashed it's head on the corner of a nearby table, she then flung it's limp form toward Aether. "I will not tell you anything!"

Sam's moment of victory was brief as Aether, fueled by grief and anger, threw her across the room with a devastating blast of his ribbon device.
