Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I am really happy and this inspired me to bring in the next chapter, and here things are escalating following what happened from the previous chapter…where the battle against the three Phantoms escalated as Midoriya got ambushed by the first two…while the third is on a killing spree…until someone comes in...and that's where our wizards would get to use their magic rings in battle…

The scene shifts at the Omokageddo Antique Store where Wajima and Mineta stood behind Eri as she is holding the crystal ball where it shows that Wizard is taking a beating from the Phoenix Phantom as the Phantom appeared to be strong, and as Mineta watched he wondered what kind of Phantom he is seeing that he somewhat has a motif of a familiar-looking bird whilst showing that he has fire-based attacks similar to Wizard's Flame Style.
There Wajima took notice of it and slowly became more worried as he realized something and told Mineta that the Phantom that is attacking Midoriya resembled that of a phoenix, which Mineta stared wide-eyed in disbelief as he started to realize what Wajima is implying and voiced his denial about what Wajima just said as he wouldn't believe that Midoriya would be beaten easily.
"Ehhh? Are you serious, Mr. Wajima?"
"Well…"
"You saying that Midoriya's gonna die?"
"Uh…"
"No way! There's no way that Midoriya's going to die!"
"…"
"Midoriya is going to win…right? Right? Tell me it is so!"
"…"
Eri continue to watch as she is worried that Midoriya might get killed but Mineta assured to her that Midoriya will win no matter what, which she nodded and said that Midoriya has to win but also to survive, which Wajima could only watch as the scene from the crystal ball shows that Phoenix Phantom is always a step ahead and Wizard is clearly struggling, and when Wajima said that things are not looking good, Mineta argued with him and the two began to bicker.
"Ehhh? Are you serious, Mr. Wajima? Whose side are you on?"
"Well…"
"You saying that Midoriya's gonna lose? Are you rooting for that Phantom?"
"Th-that's not what I…"
"You scumbag senior citizen! You're a terrible turncoat! There's no way that Midoriya's going to lose!"
"…"
"Midoriya is going to win…right? Right? Tell me it is so!"
"…"
Then the trio watched on as the next scene within the crystal ball showed that more police cars arrived and several cops came out and drew their guns before opening fire, shooting the Phantom down but Mineta shrieked in dismay as he pointed out that bullets won't work on the Phantom which Wajima agreed yet he pointed out to Mineta that the cops have no knowledge about the Phantoms, hence they don't know what they are dealing with.
And a few seconds later the Phoenix Phantom fired a stream of fire waves which struck the cops and they were set ablaze whilst the police cars were burnt before exploding and as Wizard tried to stop the Phantom he was struck by the Phantom's fire wave before being kicked back, and this caused Mineta to freak out as he shook the crystal ball and shouted at Wizard to get away as he is no match for the Phoenix Phantom but Wajima had to restrain him while urging him to calm down.
"Mineta!"
"Let go of me!"
"Stop!"
"But Midoriya is…!"
"Calm down…"
"But…"
"Lets pray that a miracle would happen…"

Ch. 36: Mahō ishi to atarashī yubiwa part 7
Meanwhile, Endeavor is following Beast as they are heading towards the area where Wizard is fighting the Phoenix Phantom, and there Makoto was listening to her smartphone as the live news showed that the Phoenix Phantom is walloping Wizard with ease just as it was announced that the Phantom had just caused a few vehicles to explode using heat, resulting in the deaths of about three dozen innocent victims.
Endeavor couldn't believe what he is hearing and asked Makoto if the one that he and Beast fought earlier is really a Phantom she nodded and said that there are different types depending which animals the Phantom is based on, and she said that based on what she heard on her smartphone the reporter said that she caught a glimpse of the said Phantom and reported that it vaguely resembled a humanoid-looking bird whilst enveloped in flames.
It took Endeavor five seconds to deduce it and he stared wide-eyed as he said that the Phantom that Midoriya is fighting against is probably based on a phoenix and Makoto stared wide-eyed as she heard about legends regarding the mythical bird, and she became worried as she sensed what Endeavor is implying about.
"A…Phoenix you say…?"
"…"
"As in…?"
"If my hunch is right…"
"No…way…"
"Looks like we pro heroes are having things full here…"
"Oh no…Midoriya..."
"Hold on tight…!"
Endeavor then increased his speed and made sure that Makoto wasn't affected and there he was able to catch up with Beast, and there he told him about what he deduced, and Beast nodded, saying that if the Phantom has such a strong mana then this is a good opportunity to absorb it, which Endeavor is baffled at what Beast just said, yet he tells him not to let his guard down as they do not know what the Phoenix Phantom is capable of.
"I don't quite understand what you're saying but…"
"Don't worry…"
"Don't underestimate your opponent…"
"I know."
"…"
"And I got this. So relax."
"Are you serious…?"
"I am!"
The two continue to head towards the scene of the battle, where they saw several helicopters arriving, its occupants consisting of several SWAT agents, armed with high-powered weapons such as Gatling guns and RPG, which Makoto noted that the situation appeared to be serious, and Endeavor could only look on as more helicopters appeared and by then they could see smokes emanating from a distance followed by several explosions, which Beast sensed that the battle is getting more and more intense.
"I could feel it…"
"Huh?"
"The Phantom is down there…"
"What…?"
"His mana is getting stronger by the moment…"
"!"
"Good! I'm going down there at once!"
"H-hey…!"

At the scene of the battle, Wizard is getting a severe beating as he got struck by the Phoenix Phantom's fiery blasts, and you can see that Wizard's armor was severely damaged whilst smoking hot, and he realized that this Phantom is several levels higher than the previous Phantoms he fought and this puts pressure on him as several SUV came and a dozen SWAT agents came out and confronted the Phantom while armed with high-powered weapons.
A pair of SWAT agents then helped Wizard up despite feeling the intense heat from his burning armor and Wizard tried to persuade them to leave saying that they are no match for the Phantom but they stated that they can't leave him after seeing that he tried to stop the Phantom and gets hurt in the process, hence they couldn't just leave him to die like that, and at the same time they said that they'll hold out until the pro heroes arrive.
"Don't worry. We got this…"
"And we can't just leave you there…"
"So have faith in us…"
"But…you'll get killed…!"
"Don't mind us!"
"Its our duty!"
"That's right!"
"No…you don't understand…!"
The rest of the SWAT agents confronted the Phantom and ordered him to stand down and surrender, but he just scoffed at them and tells them to leave and hand over the wizard, or else he would level the entire city block and would go far as attacking the Senate house and kill all the politicians hiding like cowards, which prompted the SWAT agents to realize that taking the Phantom down is a priority and the squad captain told the SWAT agents to open fire immediately which they nodded in acknowledgement.
"Yes sir!"

Seeing that the Phoenix Phantom is distracted, Wizard took the opportunity as he placed his right hand in front of the Wizardriver which it glowed and there it spoke to confirm the activation.
Wizardriver: "BIND…PLEASE…"
Wood-like chains appeared from a magic circle and tied up the Phoenix Phantom, holding him in place and there the SWAT agents saw this as an opportunity and the squad captain told his men to fire immediately which they nodded in acknowledgement.
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
"Yes sir!"
The SWAT agents open fire as they shoot the Phantom down with the RPG and Gatling gun, unleashing a barrage of bullets and shell, shooting the Phantom down while Wizard holds him in place, and the armored Midoriya mentally hope that this would be enough to weaken the Phantom and from there he would finish him off as many lives were lost due to the Phoenix Phantom's murderous spree.
However the Phoenix Phantom unleashed his fiery aura and the wave of flame-like aura struck the SWAT agents, causing them to get enveloped in flames and they are screaming in pain as they were set ablaze whilst Wizard staggered back as the Phoenix Phantom broke free and he confronted the wizard and told him that he can't be defeated no matter what kind of magic the wizard uses.
"Hah! Looks like you met your match, you brat!"
"Tch…!"
"Now I'm going to put you out of your misery!"
"I…won't let you…!"
"Oh…? There's still some fight left in you…? Nice. Entertain me some more. And I might consider letting you live a little longer so I won't get bored…"
"I'll stop you!"
"Then come and try, asshole!"
"…"
Seeing the two SWAT agents behind him, Wizard, still in Land Style, activated the Defend magic and formed a barrier as he tells the SWAT agents to run for it, which the SWAT agents reluctantly did so, and managed to get to a safe distance before the Phantom unleashed a fiery blast which smashed through the wizard's defensive barrier and struck his target, further injuring the armored Midoriya.
"Gotcha!"
"AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!"
"Looks like victory goes to me…!"
"AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!"
"Have more doses of my flames!"
"AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!"
"Ha-ha-ha! More! Scream more! It's music to my ears!"
"AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!"
At this point Beast and Endeavor arrived, and Makoto was horrified at the carnage before her, seeing several vehicles and establishment burning while burnt corpses are everywhere, and there Endeavor was taken aback at what he saw before seeing Wizard staggering while struggling to stand up before removing the Land Ring and then puts on the Water Ring, and there he placed his right hand in front of the Wizardriver where Endeavor stared in surprise at what he just witnessed before his very eyes.
Wizardriver: "WATER…PLEASE…SUI-SUI-SUI…"
Endeavor and Makoto saw Wizard change his armored form, from Land Style Wizard assumes Water Style as he attempted to use water-based attacks which somewhat worked but the Phoenix Phantom chastised Wizard for trying to use water, saying that a mere FIRE EXTINGUISHER won't be enough to stall him and his mana.
"Hah!"
"…"
"Has your brain began to malfunction?"
"…"
"You think you can beat me by becoming a human water gun?"
"…"
"So stupid of you! Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!"
"…"
Summoning the Wi-Sword-Gun, Wizard activated the Slash Strike in conjunction with the Water Style magic, and managed to land a critical strike on the Phoenix Phantom, causing him to stagger back, and the Phantom was taken by surprise which he got irritated at first before reluctantly becoming impressed as Wizard gave him a good challenge as he initially got bored after maintaining the upper hand for several minutes ago.
"This…ends here…"
"Uhhh…not bad…you sure have…lots of guts…"
"Give it up…no more…murder spree…"
"You think…I'll give up…just like that…?"
"?"
"You're in for…a big surprise…"
"!"
"And here it is…!"
But the Phoenix Phantom did a surprise move where he unleashed a fireball that is as big as a bus and there he struck Wizard in point-blank range, causing him to go ablaze and he screamed out in pain before the Phantom uses his mana to recharge himself and then unleash another fire wave and struck his target before pinning Wizard down and proceeded to burn him alive.
In a surprising turn of events, the number one pro hero, All Might, arrived and executed a SMASH which sent the Phantom reeling back before colliding against a parked, burning car, and there Makoto and Beast went to Wizard as she uses a fire extinguisher to douse off the flames while calling out Midoriya's name to keep him awake, surprising All Might as he couldn't believe that the boy he once told that he can't become a hero is actually fighting a Phantom and he was distracted as he watched Makoto trying to keep the armored Midoriya from losing consciousness.
"Midoriya!"
"…"
"Can you hear me?"
"…"
"Hang in there!"
"…"
"You'll be okay!"
"…"
Seeing that the Phoenix Phantom is getting up, Beast tells Makoto to try to keep Midoriya from losing consciousness as he would try to stop the Phantom as he removes the Falco Ring from his right middle finger and then puts the Buffa Ring and then pressed his fist into the right side of the Beast-Driver which evokes his magical transformation.
Beast-Driver: "BUFFA! GO…BU-BU-BU-BUFFA!"
All Might stared wide-eyed as Beast's right shoulder area changed shape as the falcon-themed shoulder pad changed into a buffalo-themed shoulder pad with a cape-like mantle, and there he charges towards the Phantom and the two brawled, which somewhat became an even fight in terms of physical strength as the battle seemingly went to a standstill as neither one back away.
There Endeavor joins the fray and assists Beast in repelling the Phantom and surprisingly the Phoenix Phantom started to stagger back as All Might joins in and began to pummel the Phantom and there Phoenix Phantom is getting irritated as he is being kept away from Midoriya as he wanted to kill the younger boy
Thinking fast, Phoenix Phantom fired a fireball and hits Endeavor straight on his face, which harmed the number two pro hero as his face was set on fire and Endeavor staggered backwards as he held his face while screaming in pain. All Might was surprised by this and tried to land a punch, but the Phantom summoned a fire-based sword and stabbed All Might on the right side of his ribcage and managed to wound him.
"Back off, you blondie bullshit!"
"GGGUUUUWAAAKKK!"
"My business is with that brat!"
"GGGUUUUWAAAKKK!"
"So stop getting in my way!"
"GGGUUUUWAAAKKK!"
"I'm going to kill that boy and nobody's going to stop me!"
"GGGUUUUWAAAKKK!"
Phoenix then kicked All Might back and is heading towards the weakened Midoriya as Makoto is trying to keep him awake as Midoriya is still in his armored wizard form but then she saw the Phoenix Phantom heading their way and she tried to get the armored Midoriya to stay awake as she feared that he might get killed by the Phantom.
"Midoriya!"
"…"
"Pull yourself together!"
"…"
"That Phantom is heading this way!"
"…"
"Please get up! You can't die here!"
"…"
